• Joep Firet (10/5): Rust, natuur en hartelijkheid vlakbij het drukke centrum - Het is een fijne plek, mooie landelijke ligging tussen de palm- en bananen bomen en rijstvelden. Ideaal om even de drukte te ontvluchten aan het einde van de dag. Toch dichtbij de stad en strand om er met de fiets of Grap/lopend naartoe te gaan. Fantastisch ontbijt en héél enthousiast team; het voelt als thuis. Ze regelen alles voor je en de eigenaresse is zeer bekwaam taylor. We zijn daarom langer gebleven dan gepland. De foto's maken bij boeken niet geheel duidelijk mwelke kamers en opties er zijn.

The location is beautiful with a great view over the rice fields, and just a short grab ride to the main centre of Hoi An town. The rooms are clean and a great size! We liked it so much we extended our stay :) Will definitely return if we come back to Hoi An!

The staff was amazing ..the included breakfast was different every day and so delicious The rooms are as shown on BOOKING.COM, we had great room to start and then got moved to an even better one after 2 days . #203..the beds are amazing. The pool was a godsend in the heat of the day. The surroundings were peaceful with the lovely sound of frogs and birds every day. It was great to stay outside of Hoi An which is very busy with tourists. We used Grab for transport to the beach and pretty much everywhere else. Super cheap. The homestay booked Hoi An Memories show for us and some transport as well. Also took Grab to Banha hills . The icing on the cake was that the owner is an amazing seamstress..i gave her my all time favorite Columbia shirt and she made 2 copies for me out of Bamboo material and a wrap around sundress for my aunt literally overnight...now that I'm home I get so many compliments . I highly recommend you stay here. It's clean ,affordable, relaxing & beautiful Ps ..breakfast is generally Vietnamese..but you can get eggs..Just ask 😉 We ...though we are old (71,77&77).lol.. preferred to eat local food, it's all part of the journey. • Josefine (10/5): Danke <3 - Mein Freund und ich waren vor circa einer Woche dort. Ursprünglich wollte wir nur ein paar Tage in Hoi an verbringen und haben den Aufenthalt dann doch nochmal um ein paar Nächte verlängert - nicht zuletzt weil es uns im New Sunshine homestay so gut gefallen hat! Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, es gibt alles was man braucht (auch kleine Goodies wie Zahnbürsten, gratis Shampoo etc.) ESSEN: Das Frühstück dort ist super lecker! Es gibt ein Buffet mit verschiedenen warmen Gerichten, Früchten, Toast und wechselt täglich. Auch die kalten Getränkeoptionen variieren und werden frisch gemacht. Die Köchin des Homestays war wirklich unglaublich lieb und hat uns auch Mittags noch auf Abfrage etwas gekocht. SCHNEIDEREI: Die Betreiberin des Homestays bietet auch eigene Schneiderarbeit an. Wenn ihr daran Interesse habt euch Kleidung auf den eigenen Körper Maßgeschneidert zu bekommen macht das unbedingt. Der Preis ist super fair und ich kann nicht mehr betonen, dass es sich dort auch mehr lohnt als in der Stadt! Ich habe mir sowohl im Homestay als auch in der Stadt etwas schneidern lassen und hätte letzteres lieber nicht gemacht (teurer Preis, keine Flexibilität mit dem Stoff und definitiv nicht passend). Die Betreiberin hat mir dann nicht nur ein wunderschönes Kleid und 2 Oberteile genäht, sondern auch versucht den missratenen Versuch der städtischen Schneiderei auszubessern. Danke!! (Siehe Fotos anbei) MITARBEITERINNEN: Großes Dankeschön an alle Mitarbeitenden! Die herzliche Atmosphäre hat für uns den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz besonderen gemacht. Emplacement un peu loin du vieux Hoi An et aussi assez loin de la plage. Transport assez facile a vélo (si on ne craint pas la circulation automobile), ou en Grab, mais je croyais que c'était un peu plus proche des centres d'intérêt. Cela dit, cela se gère assez bien.

• CAROLE (10/5): Un séjour magnifique à Hoi An ! - L'emplacement entre la Vieille Ville de Hoi An et les plages est parfait. Possibilité d'accéder aux 2 en vélo. Notre hôte a été aux petits soins pour nous et nous a réservé le bateau AR pour notre séjour sur les îles Cham, avec le taxi pour l'aéroport de Danang. Nous lui avons commandé des vêtements sur mesure faits en 2 jours : ravis du résultat ! Cadre magnifique au bord d'un étang. Très calme, loin du brouhaha de la ville. Notre chambre de plain pied avait une baie vitrée fixe avec vue sur un jardin de bananiers sans vis à vis, magnifique ! Bref nous ne regrettons pas du tout notre choix. Prêts à revenir ! RAS

• Frank (10/5): - Ich war mit meinem Sohn Kay vom 21.12.2025 bis 8.01.2026 in diesem Homestay. Und was soll ich sagen. WIR WAREN ZU 100% SUPER ZUFRIEDEN. Es hat wirklich alles gepasst. Die Besitzer samt Ihre Kinder , das gesamte Personal war super freundlich und sehr bemüht das man sich wohl fühlt und alle wünschen erfüllt werden. Es war einfach toll. Wir waren das erstenmal dort und wir wurden sofort aufgenommen wie Familie. Wenn jemanden die Ruhe sucht, Freundlichkeit und bor allem eine tolle gepflegte Anlage sucht dann ist er dort sehr gut aufgehoben. Preis Leistung TOP. Also ich kann mich nur ganz herzlich bedanken das ich Gast in diese Anlage sein durfte. Auch noch als Info. Das Essen dort schmeckt auch Super, alles schön frisch. Und lasst euch von der Eigentümerin was schneidern. Preis super und tolles Ergebnis. Und sie ist sehr geduldig. Das wir leider wieder nach Hause zurück fliegen mussten
• Thomas (10/5): Delightful stay in comfortable accommodations and delightful staff! - The location is ideal! It seems rural, but is only a couple km to the Old Town. The staff was so friend and helpful. They went out of their way to pamper us. The breakfast menu is extensive and delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again. In fact, we extended our stay and would have stayed longer if they weren’t booked solid the last couple of nights we were looking to stay. Highly recommend. We were here the same night as “Eleanor” from Argentina. (January 27, 2026). She left a bad review because they got kicked out in the middle of the night. What she forgot to mention is that they came home at 1:30 am drunk and very loud. They woke us up, and I was heading out because of all the hollering. Don’t believe their review. It is a lovely Homestay and they work very hard to make sure everyone has an enjoyable stay. And kicking out rowdy guests is a hard part of that job. Trying to hurt their livelihood like Eleanor did is the lowest. I would not trust any of her reviews.
• Eleonora (1/5): THE WORST EVER - Nothing. It was a nightmare. The worst experience that i ever had. The owner it’s insane STAY AWAY. This place is a scam and a safety hazard. We booked a 28 m² room with a King bed, but were given a tiny 15 m² room with two single beds (verified with digital measurements). When we first talked with her, they offer us for our second night another room that didn’t was neither what we booked. When we complained to booking, the owner's behavior was appalling. At 1:00 AM, she literally kicked us out to the street, screaming at us because Booking.com had contacted her regarding our complaint.. Being evicted in the middle of the night is unacceptable and dangerous. The owner is aggressive, dishonest, and the photos are a complete lie. For your own safety, DO NOT BOOK HERE. SHE RUIN OUR STAY IN THE CITY. I never had a situation like this in my life

• Patrycja (10/5): The best place, you will absolutely love it - This was the best hotel I have stayed in during the travelling in Vietnam, and as a former flight attendant with a decade of life sleeping in hotels around the world, I can legit tell you, that place is magnificent, and has incredibly high standard for the price it offers. The room was beautiful, full of light during the day, wonderful views, palm trees, greenery, rice fields, swimming pool, delicious breakfast, amazing staff- the nicest staff I have met, I have extended my stay for a week. This place was not only incredibly beautiful and comfy, it also had a profound impact on my mental health, because I finally rested and grounded myself among the nature. I enjoyed every single day I spent there. Even just being in the room seeing palm trees through your windows has such a high healing impact. Thank you for everything, I hope I will be back someday.

• Mathilde (9/5): Très bel Homestay proche de la ville, de la mer et des rizières - Emplacement proche des rizières et à 2km du centre ville, vraiment parfait pour être proche d’Hoi An sans être dans le bruit et les zones plus animées. Le lieu est très mignon très végétal avec la piscine dans le jardin et les rizières autour. On peut louer des vélos pour être autonomes, aller en ville et à la plage c’est très pratique! Les lits sont super confortables Accueil super Pas nickel au niveau du ménage et on a eu quelques cafards mais bon vu l’humidité à Hoi An au moment où nous y étions, rien d’anormal. Pas de quoi accrocher et faire sécher les serviettes dans la salle de bain ou dans la chambre, c’est pas super pratique vu l’humidité. Et on a un maillot de bain qui est ressorti vert après s’être baigné dans la piscine. On verra si ça part au lavage mais ce n’est pas parti au rinçage

Las habitaciones grandes y limpias, la piscina y la zona exterior muy agradable, pero lo mejor sin duda es la atención del personal. Tanto la dueña como el resto son maravillosos. Y ya que te alojas allí, puedes aprovechar y hacerte un traje a medida en 1 día... 100% recomendable.
• Marewa (9/5): So good for relaxing, peaceful and clean. - Love that the swimming pool is open 24/7, in fact it was the main reason I booked here. Staff are all lovely and friendly. Location necessitates some form of transportation, you can rent for a reasonable price from next door and Grab is only a txt away. Dressmaking can be done onsite so no having to travel for fittings etc. Room very large and comfortable. View out to ponds and pool. Was unable to work the TV out. Room needs wardrobe space and a bench big enough to lay a full size suitcase on.

• westside88 (9/5): Amazing stay and value! And very warm service. - My wife and I, stayed for a week and felt like home. Our room with the balcony was so beautiful and spacious and comfy. Cleaned our rooms, fresh towels everyday, the staff and the owner all so kind. And they also have a free light breakfast, that hits the spot. And the location is perfectly away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy old town in Hoi An. Nothing at all really. Wish the breakfast had more items on the menu, but for that value we got for 1 week. Even without the free breakfast it would have been perfectly alright.

De ontbijtruimte buiten is mooi en het ontbijt is goed. Mooi aanbod. De kamer is proper en ruim. Het personeel is vriendelijk. De eigenares is heel goed in het maken van kledingstukken. Hun toestelletje om te betalen met bank- of creditkaart is niet 'broken', ook al durven ze dat te zeggen. Als je zegt helemaal niet met cash te kunnen betalen, werkt het plots wel weer.

Tenen servei per llogar motos i la situació és bona, a pocs minuts de la platja en moto i a pocs minuts del centre també en moto. Vam tenir un petit problema amb el servei de laundry.

• Keith (10/5): Wonderful homestay away from the hustle of Hoi An. Still easy to get into the city. - Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy, rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms. Pool was great to cool down in, and the pond area and rice fields behind were very fun to explore and watch birds. It’s also very easy to rent bicycles or scooters next door to get around on. Ms. Huong does great work with clothes as well, so be sure to ask about alterations or getting some clothes made during your stay! Deck around to pool had some loose boards that should be tightened up or replaced.

L’endroit est charmant, mais le service mérite d’être amélioré et l’endroit - Les chambres sont très jolies et spacieuses mais il ne me semble pas que le ménage est été fait dans la chambre pendant le séjour. La piscine est très agréable. Cet établissement mérite d’être rafraîchi/ rénové par endroits: carrelage cassé dans la salle de bain, lumières défectueuses dans la chambre et la salle de bain. Surtout, la terrasse en bois autour de la piscine comporte plusieurs planches trouées / cassées ce qui est dangereux. Et l’état de la cuisine ouverte à côté de l’endroit où est servi le petit déjeuner était est en fin de journée proprement inacceptable en terme d’hygiène (plan de travail et placards comportant des traces/ coulures d’aliments, évier sale, et poubelle débordante non vidée, traces d’aliments par terre..).

• Tenille (10/5): - The staff at the New Sunshine Homestay owned and run by Huong and her family are just gorgeous. We stayed here as a family for a week and loved it so much we stayed a week more. The facilities are lovely, the location is very peaceful and the pool is perfect for relaxing and little people fun. The treasure of this place is the staff. They are all women, so gentle and sincerely endearing. We will be back when we return to this part of the world in a heartbeat. Thank you for looking after us so beautifully. x

• Were (7/5): Ok for a couple of nights, but Hoi An has many far more inviting places to stay - Large room with windows on two sides and a pleasant pool area. Friendly staff. this place definitely looks better in the photos than in real life. The room I had was worn, tired and rather dready. There is nowhere to eat within walking distance and the roosters can be very loud even in the middle of the night.

Highly recommend for peaceful travellers I enjoyed so much my time over there I was on the 3rd floor you can hear the fan noise all the time, but it's so hot that you have the air conditioning on all the time you're in the room, so after a couple of hours you get used to it.

The property has a clean and refreshing pool to have a dip in and sunbathe by on the hot Vietnamese days. The staff is super friendly, especially Nhi, she made my stay special with genuine conversations and smiles, thank you very much ❤️ Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and water. You can also get tailored clothes without leaving the property.

• Louise (7/5): Two rooms with mouldy smell, one good without - The bigger room upstairs was really nice. I also tailored a dress and it was really easy and it turned out very good. Nice quiet place a bit outside the main area. The first room that we were supposed to stay in had a smell of mould, and then we moved to another room, which also had a smell of mould. Then we finally got a room that had no smell. They also try to blame the previous guests for the smell but it is very obvious it is mould. It doesn’t help to deny it.

• Karen (10/5): Hospitable and relaxing stay with a brilliant pool. - The owner and staff here are just lovely. You feel like a cousin when you stay with them. Nhi (receptionist) was excellent and could not do enough for us. The owner runs a tailoring service - we were measured up on arrival and the next day a high quality pair of trousers and shirt were ready! Defo recommend having something made to measure while you are there.
