• Alfredo (10/5): Great place near central station! - The place was really nice, clean shower and toilet. Very good value for money, the bed was a bit small for us 2 but we knew it beforehand. Convenient if you want to be close to the train, a bit far from the boat, completely recommended!!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing bed and breakfast with a 4 minute walk to the train station to a 10 minute ride to cinque terre. The property is extremely clean, I mean spotless, the owner is extremely organized and very detail oriented which I appreciate bc I am like that myself. The mattress is one of the best that I slept in my life, better than any 4 star hotel I have stayed at.

Bon accueil, avec une place de parking gratuite réservée pour mon arrivée. J'ai pu y laisser ma voiture, sans problème, pendant la durée de mon séjour. La gare est très proche, 2 mns à pieds pour aller aux 5 terres. Le centre ville, zone piétonne très proche également. J'y retournerai sans hésitation et je recommande fortement. Merci à mes hôtes pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité.

He provided a great check in and orientation as well as a free parking spot close to the guesthouse. Fantastic all the way around stay, for 2 nights. Close to everything, walked and took train.

Très bel appartement, petit déjeuner / thé café à disposition et un bon pour un petit déjeuner au café en bas. Proche d'une rue piétonne avec restaurants. Pour le parking, c'est dans la rue en bas, gratuit le dimanche les autres jours je ne sais pas.

• Patricia (10/5): Guesthouse Le Tre Spezia - Our stay at the guesthouse was perfect in every way. The guesthouse is a 5 minute walk from the station. Don’t be put off by graffiti on some buildings in the area because the guesthouse is on the top floor of a beautiful building. There is a private lift to all floors. The front door of the building is very secure with an entry phone system and cameras. The guesthouse is very modern and well furnished and spotlessly clean. There are three rooms for guests each with en suite bathrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen area where there are lots of snacks available free of charge. This includes fresh fruit, cakes, Melba toasts, crackers, juice, tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has a fridge and complimentary water. Guests are given a voucher to take to a local cafe for an Italian breakfast which is a choice of croissants, pizza and other pastries. The local station can take you almost everywhere including the beautiful Cinque Terre. The guesthouse has lots of maps and books on places to go and how to get there. A short walk from the guesthouse leads to the lovely shops and restaurants in the centre. Stefano the owner is very helpful and always available if you need him. I would certainly recommend Guesthouse Le Tre Spezia to everyone.
• Julia (10/5): A wonderful stay in La Spezia! - We had a wonderful time here - perfect locations for accessing Cinque Terre by train and/or boat. The accommodation is very secure, modernly renovated and very comfortable particularly with a fabulous hot shower and daily room cleaning. Stefano was waiting outside to assist us at our indicated arrival time and provided great restaurant recommendations etc. There are three apartments which access a communal kitchen fridge are which is well supplied with juice, crackers, jam etc and I LOVED being able to access a micro-wave at last during our trip. We had not stayed in this style of guesthouse accommodations before usually staying in hotels so we were a bit wary at first but the other residents were all amazing, interesting and nice to talk with at the very infrequent times our paths crossed. This area was also a respite, providing extra break out space when our 11yr old son was playing on his computer or we wanted to stretch out and read while other family members slept. The breakfast was provided via voucher to present at a cafe located nearby - while this was not exactly extravagant it was enough to get a start on the day and the cafe was located right next door to a supermarket where I managed to purchase fresh bread, water etc and other supplies. Would happily stay here again.

• Janet (10/5): LA SPEZIA - Ideal base to explore the surrounding area which I would highly recommend both. The apartment was to a high standard and the hosts were excellent. Train station within walking distance so convenient. Overall wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
• Emcd (10/5): Basic and modern - One of three new en suite hotel-standard rooms sharing a kitchen. Fitted to a high standard. Clean and comfortable. Fabulous shower. Secure entry to a residential building, rooms are on the 4th floor with a key-controlled lift. Short walk to the railway station. Downside is the neighbourhood is a little run down but safe. 10mins walk to pedestrian area with plenty of restaurants. 30 minutes walk to harbour for Cinque Terre boat. Great base camp.

• carl (8/5): - property is about a 15 minute walk from train station so pretty close. Stefano met us there to review keys etc. 3 different units on second floor. When you come into common area, ours was farthest to left. Very recently redone and nice and bright. No chairs of any kind. When we came back to the property the first night , someother guests had taken all the coffee pods,fruit and rolls meant for everyone. Went and looked at restaurant for the included meal tickets(also breakfast), but didn't look too clean so didn't go into try it. its also about a 10 minute walk away. Biggest negative is you have to put the key card into a slot/reader inside the room to get lights and ac to work and it has to stay in the reader/slot or all power goes out. only get one card so either everyone has to stay in the room or all leave together.

It took us time to find the place as the rooms are in a regular apartment building and we missed the sign on the wall, but the owner was patient and waiting for us outside just on the time that we announced that we would arrive. Rooms are very nice and the A/C was a life-saver on June. Breakfast is served in a nearby bar, where you get a coupon for a coffee/tea and a cake.

We felt very welcomed and taken care of. The room was super clean, comfortable, and up to date. It is located on a very busy street, so not as idyllic as some of the other places we stayed, but we were tired enough from hiking to sleep right through the traffic noise. Easy walking distance from train station. The common kitchen area was nice to have, microwave but no oven. Provided bottled water was a nice surprise. Breakfast comes in the form of vouchers that you cash in at a coffee bar a few buildings up the street for your choice of pastry or small sandwich (kind of different, but we enjoyed it). Overall this was an enjoyable stay!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient for travelling to cinque Terre - it's near the train station and convenient for travelling to Cinque Terre. when you walk out of the train station, you will see a elevator on your right and take the elevator down to ground level and turn right. all the way right and you will see a bridge and cross the bridge, you will see Stefano waiting there. Stefano explained everything about our stay and recommended restaurants nearby. Thanks Stsfano!
• Helga (10/5): Well located hotel in a nice town - Our host met us on the way from the train station! Wonderful Starr to our stay. The guest house is beautifully renovated and has everything we could want, from a great bed, lovely bathroom, great little kitchenette facilities to a lot of books about the area. Cinque Terre and Portovenere are easily reached from La Spezia, and given the proximity of the train station, this was a perfect place from which to visit both. As only part of the trail system was accessible, we were very happy to have stayed in La Spezia. Highly recommended guest house!

• Tarra (10/5): A Gem in La Spezia - Our stay was short since we were wanting to visit the Cinque Terre area for half a day. This room fit our needs perfectly and beyond our expectations. The location was a five minute walk to the train station. This newly renovated room was clean and beautiful. Great shower! Calming decor. There was a safe and refrigerator in the room along with a shared kitchette area. Stefan was responsive, timely and professional. I definitely recommend this hidden gem!
