- Benjamin (10/5): - Incredible last minute find!
- Terri (10/5): - Such a cute spot with lovely little touches like smores for guests! Will definitely return :)
- Carolyn (10/5): - It had beautiful canvas tent cabins with lovely decor
- Alphonso (10/5): - I’ll do it again
- Kelly (10/5): - This place is amazing. The staff is so welcoming and accomodating. The tent was clean, beautiful and spacious. Bath area was a tad famurther away from ourvtent, but the facilities were excellent. There were plenty of areas around the property to relax and enjoy nature, hammocks, pucnic tables, fire pit areas. Great trails for hiking. So close to downtown Ithaca, state parks, restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend visiting.
- Cindy (10/5): - Clean relaxing and friendly!!
- Jennifer (6/5): Noisy - The only thing that was unsatisfactory was my sleep disturbance. The smoke detector in my tent needed a new battery. It beeped every 15 min from about 1am on. At 6am when the staff came in I brought it to the reception desk. She apologized but offered no discount for my stay.
- Carolina (6/5): - it was ok for camping
- Olga (10/5): - We really loved the
- Rhiannon (8/5): - People will bring children and also complain about you before quiet time. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. My favorite part was listening to the birds each morning and seeing the stars late at night.
- Susan (10/5): - First glamping experience, and very nice indeed!
- wendy (10/5): - We were so surprised and delighted to find this property as we were passing through Ithaca. What a beautiful spot. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The communal areas/firepits were fantastic and the breakfast offerings were healthy, local and delicious. We will definitely be back.
- Nicole (10/5): - This was such a beautifully relaxing stay. My kids, husband and I had such a nice time even with the crazy thunder storms.
- Krysten (6/5): - The tents were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. The problem was that the bathroom was very far away from all the tents so you’d have to walk 5 min up the hill and stairs to get there in the middle of the night, which was awkward. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was lovely.
However, I booked through Expedia and paid at least $50/night more than I would have if I booked directly. But even directly, $170/night is a lot to sleep in a tent and walk to the bathroom.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Awesome experience!
Amazing plus staff!
- Jon (10/5): - Stayed last minute to drop off my son at college. Perfect for us because we live camping. Would recommend for families.
- Kesang (10/5): - Beautiful experience for my mini family. Will visit again
- Doug (10/5): - What a great idea, well executed.
- Emma (10/5): - Love this experience and want to book again! Staff was very friendly. The amenities are great! Bed is also comfy :)
- Jessica (10/5): - I usually pop up my own tent, but wanted to go on a relaxing retreat for my birthday. The fine details at firelight make it a very stress-free and accommodating place to stay outdoors. I enjoyed rocking on my own private porch. The bed was comfortable and clean the bottles of water left helped me prepare for my hike to the waterfalls the next day. I enjoyed sitting around the fire Under the moonlight and roasting marshmallows. The bathrooms are very clean and come with shampoo conditioner, and blow dryer so you don't have to pack more in your bags, the only complaint I have is that I arrived at 4:30 and three of the staff members were all standing at the bar, making drinks for a few customers and not attending to the guest check-in in and trying to settle down. I didn't feel that three staff members were needed to make drinks thank you so much for my stay and a relaxing time
- Elizabeth a (10/5): - My family of four had a magical, happy time from start to to finish. Super comfortable, simply good for the soul with all of the details handled. We really loved it. Can't wait go get back. Thank you !
- Katie (10/5): - This property was absolutely dreamy! We loved the tent, we loved the amenities, everything. It was clean, the staff was so nice, the breakfast was perfect. LOVED the campfires, the grills, the bar. Absolutely lovely. The ONE suggestion we have is the bathroom situation; the current facilities are super clean, but they’re not convenient for tents. I would suggest having a small (2 stall) facility close to the tents bc the fear of going to the bathroom at night and having to cross camp and walk up the stairs is real. Otherwise, Firelight is perfect!
- Brookelyn (10/5): - This experience exceeds your expectations. If you’re looking for an stress-free, easy get away, this is perfect! Whether you’re looking for a family, couples or you only … this is it! Just make sure you bring some food but they have all of the drinks covered. We felt safe and sleeping was beyond blissful in the “glamping” camping experience. My only suggestions would be, hot tubs or hot springs, more outdoor activities and live music. The staff was incredibly accommodating and so kind. I also love how eco, family and dog friendly firelight camp was!! We will return as a family or a girls trip. Next time, I want to take advantage of all of the hammocks around. Oh and, OMG the massage I received at August Moon by Rebecca was absolutely amazing! It was so nice to walk out of my tent yo my massage while my daughter and her friend relaxed in hammocks. I knew they were also relaxing and safe!
- Suzanne (10/5): - Loved it!
- Patrick (10/5): - Great experience! The staff was excellent and made our stay even better.
- Emily (10/5): - It was so clean and relaxing and just back to the earth. The staff was SO beyond kind, helpful and informative. Thank you especially to Sam and Marina for the pizza recommendations and delivery! So fantastic! 10/10 recommend!
- karen (10/5): Ithaca Glamping - First time glampers. We enjoyed being close to all the waterfall parks. The beds were so comfortable! Staff very friendly.
- Jenny (6/5): Wonderful stay as long as you don't need any sleep - I feel truly bad only giving this place 3 stars as almost the entire experience was amazing! Love the concept & amenities, super clean, so many fire pits so you felt like you were roasting your marshmellows for your complimentary s'mores in your own little world. But given this was a sleeping accommodation and we were not able to sleep any, I just cannot rate it at 5 stars. For the most part, everyone at the campground got the memo that this is a peaceful, connecting with nature experience....except for the tent of people right beside us and their friends who were staying two tents down from us. The people stayed out on their deck beside us talking in full volume voices until almost daylight and the friends walked between the two tents, up and down the gravel paths (crunch, crunch, CRUNCH) so many times that I wouldn't be surprised if Firelight had to dump more gravel in the ruts of the paths after their stay. My husband and I were so sleep deprived by the next morning that when we checked out, we just drove home and cancelled the plans we had made for that day (very disappointing as that was the whole reason we were in the area looking for accommodations to begin with). We have stayed at similar "glamping" experiences previously and those organizations maintained the quiet hours much more successfully than Firelight (as we never heard anyone go to the tent and ask them to quiet down). Such a wonderful experience that turned very disapointing. :(
- Fei (10/5): - Glamour camping experience!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Found out glamping isn't really my style and the weather (with heat warning) didn't help but property itself is fine. Only thing was that the tent got too hot during the day. More uncomfortable than outside. Would consider staying again in the fall when weather's cooler.
- brittany (4/5): A little too wild and not worth the money - I wouldn’t recommend unless you really like glamping. I got one hour of sleep because every hour you could hear coyotes howling in the distance. You could hear animals all night going by your tent, but at one point there was something larger on my back patio and the zipper of the tent was jaggling. Another time something lunged at my dog from a bush twice scaring the hell out of both of us. It was the worst sleep of my night and set the whole trip into a bad descent. I would skip it unless you really love this type of experience. The dog fee has also increased and not been updated on here.
- James (10/5): Chill space - So wonderful… definitely spreading the word about this chillaxing spot!
- Peta (8/5): - We enjoyed our time and had an enjoyable experience. The breakfast was amazing. We have stayed with other similar glamping companies such as under canvas - and unfortunately because this is priced so similarly you inadvertently compare the two - and for value for money and level of service I would unfortunately have to go with under canvas.
- Zeineb (10/5): - Wonderful staff who were very accommodating. The tents and communal bathrooms were super clean and the beds were comfortable. Being able to sit at individual fire pits in the evening made our stay even more cozy and enjoyable.
- hemali (10/5): - First time experience of glamping and we enjoyed it. Was very quite and since we went in weekdays less people so bathrooms was very clean
- Lawrence (10/5): - Great place
- Tracy (10/5): - We absolutely loved the whole vibe of Ithaca . The staff and tents were amazing . The beds very comfortable. Drinks at the bar amazing. Everything was organic
- Theresa (10/5): - Beautiful tents and bedding. The bathrooms and showers were clean bright and nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby tent has free water coffee and tea. It also has a bar, board games and the campfires outside. There were enough that we have our own fire to enjoy and cook our smores. Took the trail to buttermilk falls park. We started late so didn’t make it to the main falls but it was a beautiful hike in the woods on good paths- did have some steep sections and stairs in the park. We enjoyed our stay.
- Patti (10/5): - Set up, cute decor in natural setting
- Verified traveler (10/5): Special stay close to Ithaca - What a find! Firelight Camps was such a treat. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, and fun amenities (complimentary s'mores, coffe & tea, board games, and, of course, on-going camp fires). We enjoyed the full service bar in the evening and the breakfast, featuring local goods, in the morning. Highly recommend!
- John (10/5): - Relaxing
- Sarah (10/5): - Such a unique experience! Highly recommend!
It's such a inviting and cozy atmosphere. It's the perfect location to explore during the day and relax by the fire in the evening.
- Ashley (10/5): - The property was a great glamping situation. The main “lobby” tent had power and charging stations. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection for there being no kitchen. The s’mores and hotdog to roast on the firepit was very fun! Love that there’s a bar. Great for friend groups, couples, and families. For the further tents I wish there was some sort of outhouse closer to be able to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
- Jennifer (8/5): - A very unique experience! The location allows walking opportunities to good food at the restaurant on the grounds and an upscale Spa. All areas of the grounds and facilities where clean and well kept. Signs of LGBTQ acceptance with safe place physical signage and unisex bathroom option. Every part of this trip was relaxing and enjoyable! Check in before dark or bring a lantern. Grounds are dark at times in between motion sensor path lights. Once you’ve been to your room you will have a portable lantern to use
- Christina (10/5): - Fun experience of camping but with nice beds.
- Travis (10/5): - Great stay. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Walking access to state park.
- Kiran (6/5): - Comfortable units, but expected it to be a little more quiet and off the main road. Good breakfast, and fire
- Scott (10/5): - Wonderful experience in the tent!! Would do it again
- Michele (10/5): - A unique opportunity for glamorous camping. Delicious breakfast.
- Melissa (8/5): - I’ve been here several times and love it here. My only feedback is that staff attentive to communal fire as I think that’s what makes Firelight Camp special- the connections made around that fire pit. It should be lit from early morning to late night.
- Jayeeta (10/5): - We loved it!
- Diane (10/5): Everyone should go glamping! - We simply loved our time at Firelight Camp! It was such a beautiful setting, and they think of everything to make your experience complete. We met wonderful people at the campfire, went hiking and wine tasting, then enjoyed our wine on our glamping deck. The staff was very friendly and helpful - we will definitely be back!
- Vivian (10/5): - My family stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed the fire pit, walked to buttermilk falls park, and the cleanliness of the facilities.
- Alanis (10/5): - We had a great stay! We drove up from the city and were really happy with our couple days away. We are already planning our next trip back with friends.
- Erika (10/5): - Beautiful views. Quaint. Great experience.
- Pedro (10/5): - Beautifully maintained tents and camp area with stunning ambiance and a breakfast that will seal the in decision to come back at least four more times.
- Namrata (10/5): - Beautiful place!!! Calm and peaceful. The bathrooms and showers are well maintained. Staff is really friendly. Lots of games to keep kids busy.
We stayed in two queen beds tent (without electricity)
Most of the rooms are without electricity, they provide lamps. No heat in the room, but sufficient blankets to keep you warm.
The only thing is, the common bathrooms are a bit far if you need to use them in the night.
Our overall stay was amazing and my daughter enjoyed a lot, especially the campfire.
- Genevieve (10/5): - Would be nice if the bathhouse had a fan or two.
- Maria (10/5): - Beautiful location
- Derek (10/5): - It's always a magical experience.
- Karen (10/5): - It’s a magical place. I cannot recommend it enough.
- Kristy (10/5): - Beautiful oasis in Ithica. A relaxing break from the hotel scene. Great amenities and beautiful tents. Staff were friendly. My family enjoyed a camping experience with a comfortable bed and without the hassle of lugging all the gear.
- David (10/5): - A very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with plenty of open and private space. Excellent setting to simply disconnect and slip into a tranquil environment for a few days. Would return in a heartbeat.
- Chee Jiang (10/5): - Sure, here's a sample review for a camping trip:
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful campsite and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The location was absolutely stunning - nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by towering trees and crystal-clear streams.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to lend a hand and answer any questions I had. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible, ensuring that I had everything I needed to enjoy my time in the great outdoors.
The amenities were top-notch - clean and well-maintained, with plenty of hot water and comfortable sleeping arrangements.
All in all, I had an incredible experience at this campsite and would definitely return in the future. If you're looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway, surrounded by nature and filled with adventure, then this is the perfect place for you.
- Coralee (10/5): - The area and location are beautiful and perfect for a relaxing weekend away! The breakfast was great, they had fire starter kits to use to make your own fire if you didn’t want to be by the main one, and the s’mores kits provided were adorable and delicious! Everyone in staff was kind, helpful, and ensured we had a great stay and had everything we needed! I can’t wait to share with all my friends and family and to come back!!
- Alison (10/5): - Lovely little spot with great service. Loved our tend and cozying up by the fire. Delicious breakfast too.
