- michael (10/5): a unique experience as each room is a different style. Old fashioned drive up motel. -

- Petar (10/5): Real 1950’s charm with clean rooms - Real 1950’s charm with clean rooms. The hosts are very hospitable. You can tell that a lot of effort was put into the details in the reception and the rooms.
- Susan and Jesse (9/5): - Loved the charming 50's decor. We appreciated every vintage item in our Movie Cowboy room. A delightful break from soulless motel rooms.
- Kristine (10/5): A quaint, fun retro motel. The owners are super friendly and take pride in their property! - Breakfast was just right!
- Jena (9/5): I’ll stay again - The owners were amazing! Room super clean and quant, just as expected. Quiet and safe. No coffee available in room. That’s a thing to warn a coffee drinker. Lol
- Douglas (8/5): Good value -
- Margaret (10/5): Charming! - Delightfully and charmingly retro! Clean, quiet, friendly, comfortable.
- Fox (10/5): Very quaint decor. It’s obvious that the proprietors cared very much about the experience of staying in this mid-century - Adorable retro decor. Well loved property. Nothing.
- thomas (9/5): Friendly place to stay with a dash of style - Owner is notably friendly and helpful. Reception area is full of fun 1950s/60s furniture etc, which adds a bit of flair. The rooms have a bit of that vintage style too, along with a New Mexican feel (textiles etc), so it's more than just a generic motel. Breakfast includes cereal and fresh fruit and a few other bits and pieces. If you want super shiny modern rooms and bathrooms, this might not be your thing. (But rest assured that while there's a 1950s/60s theme, the rooms have been done up a lot more recently than that.)
- Murray (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Fun experience and extremely reasonable - Unique decor , great location
- Shannon (7/5): Pretty comfortable and great location. Very clean! - Fun themes, good location, excellent communication! There was a fragrance when we walked in that bothered my asthma.
- Yvetta (10/5): The owners are warm friendly - I like Raton Pass Motor Inn it’s my favorite place to stay on our way to visit family in Colorado. I enjoy the retro vibe.
- Jerry (9/5): - Themed room was a delight. Very comfortable and we felt secure. Their rules and clear presentation of the same gave us confidence in our stay. Traffic noise was more than we expected
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): Great place to stay with themed rooms. - Very nice location and property. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. Rooms were clean, and each had a different theme. I would recommend this place to everyone.
- Rosalie (10/5): Will come back.beat place in raton - Atmosphere
- Tammy (10/5): What an unexpected gem! - The rooms were so quirky and clean, and each decorated in a theme. The bed was huge and so comfortable! They had the most adorable and cozy office decorated with antiques and memorabilia, with a beautiful wooden table set up with fresh fruit, oatmeal, pastries, coffee, cereal, juices, and more! All complementary! They even had an area with children's toys and old albums! Way more than I would have expected! It couldn't have been better, especially for the great price!
- Deborah (8/5): The owners are pleasant and provide amenities to make the stay nice. - I am diabetic so breakfast was skipped. I don't expect the facility to accommodate my health condition. Took a minute to figure out how to open the windows so I could shut off the air conditioning, pretty minor though.
- Susan (10/5): Wonderful!! - We didn't stay for breakfast due to us leaving early in the morning. The Raton Pass Motor Inn was one of the very best motels we ever stayed at. Michael, the owner, was great and the room was so comfortable and clean. Words cannot express how great this place was. N/A
- Stacie (10/5): Highly recommend. Fun, comfortable, perfect. -
- Emma (10/5): -
- Wallace (8/5): Nice people, nice facility, good price, good location and comfortable beds. - Location was great. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, which was a welcome change from chain motels that tend to have overly firm mattresses. I stayed there on the trip up and on return and would happily stay there again. I stayed in the Cowboy room going up to Colorado. It was perfectly comfortable, but some attention should be paid to vacuuming out the vents of the heater or air exchanger on the wall. No such concerns in the Vargas room where I stayed on my return trip. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep both stays.

- Charles A (8/5): -
- Rose (9/5): - Vintage, but with modern beds. Owners friendly. Clean and neat. Water pressure great and water hot. Each room unique. Everything was good. We will return.

- Robin (8/5): -
- Melissa (9/5): - Staff was very nice, great customer service. The room was very cute and it was clean. A very good value and a great stop after a long day of driving. Bed was a little too firm for my liking.
- Sandra (10/5): -
- William Elliott (10/5): Unique charm and comfortable room at a fair rate - Cute, comfortable vintage motel with loads of charm and friendly owners. Be sure to get a pizza from Bruno’s in town, it was delicious Parking spots were tight for a full size truck
- John P (9/5): - Using old time decor with cute theme rooms. Mattress needs to be rotated kept hitting har spot in middle.
- Georgiann (10/5): Very impressed with this place. The owners have really done a nice job with an old motel. We would - Liked being just outside of the town, despite having many guests it was quiet. Nice to have lights and nightstand on each side of the beds. Linens were all in good shape. Nice to have a desk and chair in the room as well as a small table and chairs. Room was spacious. Hulu worked well. Appreciated the blackout curtains. A night light in the bathroom would be nice. We would suggest an electric kettle as the tap water didn’t make the coffee hot enough. Or provide mugs that can go in the microwave.

- kathy (10/5): - Wonderful little vintage motel. Very comfortable beds and very friendly owners.
- Larsen (10/5): Just a perfect nostalgic little gem! - So friendly and accommodating to our late arrival! Our room, Big Texas, had the cutest decor! Host was at breakfast and created a nice warm atmosphere! I wish there was an outlet by the big mirror.
- Roger or Jean (10/5): - It was wonderful it's cute! The people were very friendly. The rooms were very clean. It's fun to look at all the decorations in the room.
We would definitely stay here again, in fact we would make a trip specifically to stay here! Nothing
- Torres (10/5): Great place to stay, close to town but feels like you're out of town, very quiet! - Great location, very clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was a little hard.
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Jean-baptiste (9/5): Lovely couple - The couple owning the motel is very nice, smiling, helpful...
The light breakfast in the morning is great to start the day.
Plenty of parking, close to the highway and to the city center with numerous shops and restaurants. Only downside, and it's just mel because everyone likes it differently, but personally I found the mattress very hard.
- John (9/5): - A fine small breakfast.
- Charity C (9/5): Super comfortable and FUN! - I was placed in #8 the "Pin-up Room" - OMG so fun! Loved the vintage decor. The bed was extremely comfortable, plenty of hot water, felt safe as a solo female traveler. Staff were also very warm and welcoming! The check-in area was really cool, and it was nice to have a continental breakfast for a quick bite in the morning before hitting the road. The price was also great for the value, in my opinion. Bathroom floors could have been a bit cleaner but it wasn't bad.
- Sarah (10/5): I enjoyed this sweet little gem so much it is now on my repeat visit list. - Friendly folks and cowboy kitchens decor, what’s not to love?

- Kitty (9/5): - The best unexpected thing was darkness when I turned out the light. I slept really well. The staff was super-friendly. The info booklet in the room was interesting and helpful. I hope to return to visit the nearby state park that was described in the booklet. The internet dropped a few times but maybe that was a good thing as it got me off the computer.
- jkBr (9/5): - Retro themed rooms and friendly owners. It was a clean place for an overnight stay. Even had a grab and go breakfast which was unexpected. Not right near restaurants. Could use more lighting in the room.
- Jerry (9/5): -
- Blake (10/5): -
- Biggs (10/5): -
- Kacy (10/5): Excellent - Classic retro awesome N/A
- Anne (10/5): Remeniscent of my childhood travels - Loved the removations and amenities, and the decor reminiscent of my chikdhood travels. Very welcoming owners. A feeling of camraderie smong guests.
- Gene (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay. We liked the vintage theme a lot. - We had not expected breakfast, as it isn’t mentioned in the description of this motel, and it was quite adequate. Could not open the front window of our room.
- William (9/5): -
- Janice (10/5): - Very cute comfortable and clean
- Deborah Wallace (10/5): -
- Lee (9/5): Great little Place - Return guest. Great location off highway. Quaint motel, don't see much anymore. Parking available in front of room. All single level. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast selection to get you going in the morning, nothing fancy. This is an older motel with character, will not rate it compared to chain hotels. It may not be the place for everyone, but it has provided us with a simple, safe, no frills accommodation, and an occasional deer sighting while staying there. Each room has a theme which also makes it fun, and a lobby full of older artifacts to look around at. Well worth the stay. nothing to add here
- Vener (10/5): - The room was very clean, water pressure was excellent and friendly owners. The great price is just icing on the cake. Highly recommended.
- Sdstory (5/5): - The smell. Might have been th AC???
- Beryl (10/5): - We loved the ambiance and character. The vintage flair was such fun! Brandy was friendly and welcoming. I travel continuously for work and stay in very nice, boring hotels. This was fresh and fun. The beds were comfortable also ;)
- Bennett (9/5): Very enjoyable. - Unique decor and very friendly staff.
- Charles (10/5): - Great retro style. Just were very accommodating.
- Rayna (10/5): - Loved the themed room. And the room smelled good.
- Ronald (10/5): Stopover en route to Ft Collins - Nice themed room with comfortable bed and parking right outside the room. Beautiful view and the owners she very friendly and have good information about the area.
- George (10/5): - Good room lighting for reading was inadequate. Staff was friendly and competent. TV system was not to my liking. Free breakfast was good no complaints. My second stay there and hope to stay again.
- John (9/5): Great value for the dollar - Property was clean and the owner is very hands on.
- Jon (10/5): - The positive reviews are right on, check out their website and Raton, a town just as cool as the motel.
- Steve (10/5): - Order 50’s era motel that brought back memories of traveling with my parents in the fifties. Love to support locally owned businesses rather than national chains. Would definitely stay again!
- Kacy (10/5): Loved the place! - Retro vibe!! Awsome!! N/A
- Charles (10/5): Cool little blast from the past. Definitely recommend. - Vintage. Clean.
- Chris (10/5): - Loved our stay! This motel is very very special. Friendly owners greeted us, easy to check in and out, lovely breakfast snacks and coffee/tea. The room was very clean, with nice memory mattress, great water pressure in the shower. A truly great value for a unique experience. We will stay here again for sure!
- Erin (10/5): Very comfortable stay! - This was the 3rd time we have stayed at the location and it is always so comfortable. I don’t sleep very good away from home but I always sleep well here. And the shower is always great too!! Thanks again to Michael and Brandy for being amazing hosts!
- Tara (10/5): Awesome place to stay - The owners were so sweet. We arrived later in the evening and they were very helpful at letting us know what was open to get a bite to eat. This is just the cutest place to stay. So clean and the rooms are themed.
- Hal (10/5): Very good, but a couple issues - A great little retro motel in Raton NM, but the mattress in my room (#11) was saggy and soft, and the toilet and bathroom sink are very low to the ground, making them rather awkward to use.
- Amy (10/5): - What a great quirky motor inn! I've stayed in two rooms now, and they're decorated to the max according to theme. I time-travelled to the 60's!
- Dale (10/5): - Home like feel. Very friendly people. Clean room and comfortable bed. Unique decorated rooms. Zero
- Philip (10/5): We arrived at Raton Pass Motor Inn and was greeted by owner Michael. The stay was amazing. All the nostalgia took us bac - Location and the warm feeling , lol and plenty of hot water.
