- John (9/5): Great accommodation in a lovely village - It was convenient for a wedding venue in the local area, well serviced by taxis, 15 minutes to Chelmsfords park and ride. This venue has great history and is set in a lovely village . The evening food in the restaurant was excellent Road outside is busy at peak times, but we were placed in a room at the back overlooking the car park so didn’t really hear the noise.

Breakfast was lovely and the room was very comfortable and had tea/coffee etc which was very welcome. A slightly earlier check in would have been helpful, but as we knew we couldn’t check in until 3pm, we worked round it.

The noise omg the traffic was busy and cars zooming past every 10 mins wasn’t a comfortable sleep definitely should invest in double glazing invest in a thicker door as well as the people in the room next door turned in at 12am and woke us up. Blood on sheets. Dirty floor in bathroom.

Very little space to rest your stuff on. In the bathroom there was no place to put your soap or shower gel to be easily got at. The room had very little light. No air conditioning and a fan that was squashed in a corner which was difficult to rotate. The room got very stuffy and warm. The corridor had more fresh air

We were put in the best suites and had extra exceptional service! My back was bad and the staff went out of their way to help with everything, from taking bags up to the room, to helping with doors. Very tasty breakfast and also a nice pub to have a drink before turning in. Breakfast was very good, and you could order various things from a large menu. There was plenty of on-site parking available. The Breakfast team mixed up some of our orders, which we understand can happen, as there were 12 of us dining.

- Tony (7/5): Well located, good staff and a great full English breakfast! - The property was well positioned for my needs. I arrived early and the staff were extremely helpful. Somewhat unusually, the room was too hot. The bathroom radiator could not be turned down and was pumping out heat relentlessly. Even when the outside temperature was 10degrees, I needed to keep the window open as much as it would allow me to make the room habitable. For full transparency, I did not have a chance to mention to the management so it would be unreasonable to assume this is a complaint that was made and was not resolved. That is not the case. I would still rate the accommodation despite me temperature problem.

The bathroom towel rail was on all the time which made the room too hot for us to sleep comfortably throughout the night. It might however suit others.
