• Marie (10/5): Had a pleasant stay ! - The accommodation was as expected from the pictures. The staff were truly nice (thank you Gaia for your warm welcome!) as well as the guests. I really enjoyed staying there (I even stayed more than what I had planned) and I met great people. Well located, you can walk to the beach, the harbour, the supermarket… The rooftop is really nice and the coworking area amazing for remote workers as myself. As a solo traveller I felt safe. I recommend!

• Moaci (5/5): For the management team: you should try to differentiate the long term tourist should satay at 1 roo - I like the location. The property is closed to everything a tourist needs: bar, restaurants, museums etc. I didn’t like the kitchen. The kitchen is too small for the amount of guesses that stayed in. Guess make sure you eat out, otherwise you’ll have a problem using the kitchen always overcrowded depending the time you are going to cook. I didn’t like the long term guesses. My suggestion: if they are planning to stay a long term in Tarifa/ Spain they would be better off renting / share an apartment elsewhere at the vicinity.

El ruido, la ventana y la puerta no aíslan el ruido y los vecinos o otros huéspedes y un pobre gato en celo... nos despertó un par de veces ( es mas sugerencia de mejora que algo negativo)

I like that it had a full working kitchen with spices and basics and a nice coffee machine with coffee supplied. Many newer hostels in spain have only a small microwave. Also,very kind and interesting guests. Great location. The hostel is very well used. So is in need of some maintenance. The roof top was being painted, so that is a good start. The interior is also in need of maintenance and repair, especially painting. For example, balcony doors do not open or close properly. At times, the reception is not occupied. We had a situation, where our bed broke, which can happen, and could not find anyone to report the incident. The kitchen area is small, for the number of guests. Lots of space with 2 fridges and storage for dry goods. We'll organized. Would be nice to have a small seating area besides the kitchen area. Overall, really enjoyed our experience.

Las fotos no correspondían del todo. El servicio de check in - check out es limitado en algunos horarios, tuve que dejar la tarjeta en la recepción sin mayores indicaciones.

En résumé, le genre d’hostels de niveau moyen, - Localisation, early check-in possible sur demande antérieure 🙏🏻, obtention du lit du bas sur demande antérieure 🙏🏻, répartition sympa des chambres dans l’hostel, dortoirs avec SDD « en suite », bloc sanitaire supplémentaire au 1er étage, rooftop sympa, Tarif journalier trop cher pour l’état actuel « fatigué » de ce produit d’hébergement. Ni prise USB, ni tablette pour déposer les objets personnels, ni rideaux (un minimum !) dans les alcôves de lits des dortoirs. Cuisine commune bien trop petite & peu propice aux échanges. Pas de living, pourtant idéal pour les rencontres & échanges. Atmosphère peu chaleureuse dans cet hostel destiné principalement aux coworkers, et qui n’a pourtant pas disposé de WiFi pendant les 24H00 de mon séjour 😒. Draps de mon lit sales, tâchés de sang 🩸& visiblement non changés avant mon arrivée !!! 🤢 Matelas & oreiller usés. Couette bien trop fine & inefficace pour l’hiver. 🥶

• Suzanne (2/5): Avoid in the Winter- zero level of comfort. - The only things we liked about this property were Juan, the man at reception who assisted us, and the location. There was nothing about this accommodation that we liked. I have been travelling since 1981 and I have stayed in hundreds and hundreds of hostels all over the world and this would be one of the least value for money that I have ever stayed at. I knew in advance, because I had booked this room four months prior, that the room was small but the actual appearance of the room in real life was nothing like the photos displayed here. Our beds weren’t even made when we entered the room - just a stained fitted bottom sheet and a thin cotton blanket. I had to ask for more bedding and we were then given a duvet which was warm but no top sheet. This seems like a very inefficient and wasteful way of maintaining bedding since the whole duvet cover technically should be washed between guests. I also had to ask for towels which were not supplied but written as being supplied in my booking. On the top bunk the bed light was actually poking into my daughter’s head and she was surprised to see flaked plaster on her bed which had fallen from the ceiling. I doubt I have never been to a hostel where there isn’t a communal seating area - there was literally just one very small sofa which was usually occupied by a particular guest. I have shown a photo of my daughter sitting there when we found it unoccupied. It’s tiny. There was nowhere else to sit apart from at the kitchen table. There were 2 hooks in the room to hang things despite the booking stating “clothes rack” and the photos depicting one. Enough for two wet raincoats. The window in our room did not lock and I asked for assistance to lock it but unfortunately the staff member wasn’t able to secure it either. The shared bathroom and corridor upstairs are open to the fresh air which may be wonderful in the Summer time but this is the middle of Winter and it was uncomfortably cold. Fortunately the heating in the room worked.

• Timo (9/5): Great combination of hostel and coworking - Everything worked super well. Good facilities. I had good time with other guests. All in all super convenient place to visit. Maybe it was the coworking part that gave it bit more office feeling and just bit less coziness. Probably I am the problem here. It is coworking space on purpose. If looking for co working opportunities this place is the best hostel I have seen.

L’ambiance était agréable et conviviale, ce qui a rendu le séjour confortable. Ce que je n’ai pas aimé, c’est que la prise est mal placée. Quand je me levais ou que je bougeais, il m’est arrivé de me cogner la tête dessus, ce qui est vraiment gênant.

• Lori (7/5): Clean, close to everything, beautiful neighborhood, pretentious staff - It was a comfortable stay in a historic neighborhood, walking distance to the beach and many restaurants/cafes. Did not get the warmest vibes from the staff, at times I felt like my presence was imposing as a guest just by being there. Atmosphere is a bit pretentious. Not a super social type hostel, people keep to themselves and common areas don't feel as welcoming as other hostels I have stayed at.

• Julia (5/5): Don’t bother and book Ohana instead - The location of this place is very central and close to all restaurants. The staff at the reception was nice. The rooms are much smaller than they appear on pictures. I am 175 and didn’t fit in the bed. There is a construction site starting at 7am every day right next door so forget about the sleep. Plus they have people living in the hostel (which I usually I don’t mind) but in this case they were acting like I was entering their house, they have used all the space in the room including hangers and shelves so I didn’t even have a space to put my suitcase in. They were placing things even in my ladder to go to my bed so I was able to come to my bed without them yelling at me to watch out for their things. I left after one night. There is no public space rather than a paid coworking area so unless you pay you don’t really have any area to just check your emails or to use your laptop for a little time.

Instalaciones sucias, sábanas sucias, las habitaciones en fotos parecen más grandes y con mayor confort, la cocina y el menaje en general daba asco, acceder al baño era una tarea de supervivencia ya que estaba sucio y era desagradable ver el lavabo embozado con los restos de pelos y pasta de dientes de tu vecino de habitación de al lado. Durante mi estancia no ví a nadie limpiando el hostel. En general, no lo recomiendo.

• Borja (3/5): Muy caro para sus instalaciones - La ubicación Dificil parking Instalaciones comunes sin limpiar (compartes baño y lo limpian una vez al día) Las habitaciones eran más pequeñas que una cárcel, muy incómodo no tenias espacio para moverte Mucho ruido de zonas comunes durante el día y la noche sobre todo, dificultando dormir La zona compartida de la cocina, te dejaban placa y horno para cocinar pero estaba muy muy sucio y mal estado

Un hostal, en concreto los baños, no puede limpiarse por la mañana y no volver a limpiarse en todo el día (ninguno de los días se limpió por la tarde). El tema limpieza es un desastre que no nos esperábamos. El baño común apenas lo pudimos utilizar, menos mal que en una de las habitaciones teníamos baño.

Room for 4 was comfortable enough and curtain to get privacy in the bed own space with lockers and extra drawers, good kitchen facilities and wide terrace. Good place for people which work remotely with desks and screens. The feeling of boutique was a bit missing. Cleanliness of toilet have room to improve and besides the office area were not many more place to chill out.

• Eden (10/5): If you're in Tarifa, do yourself a favor and stay at La Coco! - It truly feels like a home in town. It’s just a few minutes from the beach, right in the old town, and it feels super safe, perfect for solo travelers. The facilities are amazing. They are always clean and stocked with everything you need, whether you're staying for a few days or a few weeks. The staff? Incredible. Always smiling, super helpful, and genuinely fun to be around. They’ll let you in on all the local secrets — from the best places to eat to where the party’s at. I spent a whole month working remotely from there, and the coworking space was perfect: comfy, quiet, and with everything I needed for a productive workday. If you're looking for a workation spot near the beach with great people and good vibes, this is the place.
