Guest Reviews
- Tim (10/5): -
- Alison (10/5): - We are repeat visitors and love it.
- karen (10/5): - Cottage was lovely with good cooking facilities, bottle of wine if desired, ground coffee. Lovely deck and table for alfresco dining overlooking vineyards
- Eloise (10/5): - I cannot recommend Twisted Gum Cottage enough. Stunning scenery, veranda with BBQ, in the vineyard. Perfectly clean, has fans and Aircon. Arrived to a supply of wine in the cottage available to purchase, and did a lovely wine tasting at their Cellar Door. Easy drive to other wineries. The hosts Michelle and Tim were responsive, helpful and just very kind, which made the wine tasting. Honestly couldn't fault our stay.
- Julie (10/5): Relaxed and comfortable -
- sybil (10/5): - The hosts run an organic farm. In the evening we were visited by lot of insects and in the day there were lots of little birds. I am a entomologist/ naturalist so was delighted to find such diversity in a farming district.
- Colin (10/5): - Beautiful clean and comfortable Cottage. Staff really enjoyed going back there each afternoon.
- Angela (9/5): - The cottage was perfect for what we were looking for. 3 couples stayed comfortably.
- Alison (10/5): Our second time here, well appointed and a relaxing time. -
- Nadine (9/5): A lovely place. Great location. - It was in a great location close to many vineyards. It was clean and well appointed. For a cottage that caters for 6 people there needs to be more seating in the lounge area to accommodate everyone. The couch wasn’t very comfortable to be honest either.
- Kenneth (10/5): More Than Just a Stay. - We loved the comfort and the thoughtful fitting out of the cottage, the serenity and beauty of the setting and the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts, Tim and Michelle. A special private tasting of their own wines was a bonus. (Their wines are fabulous and well worth the awards they are already receiving.) Nothing to report here.
- Leanne (9/5): Delightful place. - Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We enjoyed the views over the vineyard, the deck, the BBQ, the fireplace, the comfortable rooms and the helpful hosts.
- Vivienne (9/5): Beautiful cottage…great place to stay with good facilities. - Lovely cottage nestled in the bush…beautiful property to walk around…owners very friendly and helpful and can’t forget Koda the dog who welcomes you upon arrival. 3 couples and we had plenty of room. Only comment is maybe a light outside so you can see what you’re barbecuing at night.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Loved it. Our second visit, and probably not the last. - A lovely location with lots to do in the area. Almost perfect weather. Good food, good company, good weekend.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kris (10/5): Great stay in Ballandean - Very comfortable, spacious, private location. Close to wineries, Stanthorpe and Girraween National Park. Nothing
- Nissa (9/5): Great escape with friends - Beautiful property. Welcoming hosts. Everything that we needed for a weekend away with friends was at the house. Koda the vinyared pup was an added bonus. Only the living area was air-conditioned. This would not normally matter, but we stayed during particularly hot days. Leaving the windows open with fans led to plenty of bugs.
- Stephanie (10/5): We had a fabulous time and would love to come back again some time. - Everything. Location, facilities, views, friendliness, resident dogs very well behaved and friendly. No screens on most windows and external doors. We had to shut up at night time because of the beetles coming inside.
- Rejoice (10/5): I wish we had more than 3 nights, that brief time of relaxing was worth a week elsewhere. - It was lovely to stay somewhere that had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen where we were able to cook up some amazing food using the available equipment.
Also, the bed was perfectly comfortable and we slept very well. Not much, there was even a knife sharpener, which we really appreciated.
- Matthew (8/5): Perfect base to explore the area. - Very simple and clean county style cottage.
Kids loved the location and freedom to roam.
- Kathryn (9/5): Wine, walks, truffles, cheese, birds... and a cute dog to play with! - Gorgeous 1920's cottage in the heart of a working winery and close to many other great wineries. We also love that the location is so close to the walks in Girraween.
- Doug (10/5): Exceptional -

The actual cottage was beautifully secluded from any main roads and noise whilst overlooking a gorgeous dam and grape vines. Just so beautiful. The hosts were most helpful in suggesting local restaurants and wineries to visit during our stay. No improvements needed. Everything was perfect.
