Guest Reviews
- ilow68 (8/5): - first time guest at this hotel and booked the suite room for one week, a rather pleasant experience overall.
- Larry (10/5): - This is a wonderful hotel. It is simply an excellent property. The attention to detail is fantastic and the staff is simply the best. Easily, I would stay here again without hesitation.
- Karen (10/5): What a wonderful hotel! - Only a five minute walk from PUB Street and several markets but just far enough to not be noisy. A generous breakfast (with fresh juice and great coffee) and an amazing room with beautiful decor. The suite was super comfortable and especially spacious! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend 1920 Hotel. My favorite hotel in southeast Asia.
- 565vannake (10/5): Great hotel and location to city center - We had a great stayed at 1920 hotel as we had a last plan trip with my friend around the Angkor Siem Reap,
Let me tell you the place was amazing, clean, Friendly staffs, reachable area you could find here. I was very appreciated breakfast inc to my room booking which was served by Gentlemen David, he is so sweet and friendly.
I would high recommend to any planning to siem Reap, with a good price, Great Location, clean room, reachable in the town. probably this is your place.
I'd love to come back to stay here for one day.
- Jessi (10/5): - 1920 Hotel's stunning architectural features was a great welcome for our adventure in Siem Reap. The staff were helpful and friendly and not to mention the great breakfast options available!
- TravelManEire (10/5): A great little hotel, nice location, good staff, comfy :-) - Hi guys,
The 1920 hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia. I really enjoyed my 5 days here in Siem Reap, the room was nice, cool, it had fans and air con in both rooms which was great as it was very warm (36 C) most days. There was a private tub and seating area outside the room, on the fourth floor. One word of warning, there is no lift and the room is up top, so if you are not very mobile or don’t like heights, stay away from it. The staff were great and helped out all they could, the food was very good especially the breakfasts. The wifi was good, and the TV was good but not a great selection of western channels.
I liked it overall and would stay there again, good value too.
I have a video of my room on youtube, click and my profile and follow my link to my channel to see all my travel videos.
- Sam (10/5): Angkor Wat Tour - Location of the hotel is fabulous. It's located by old market with shops and tons of restaurant within walking distance, basically back door of the hotel only a couple mins away. The staff are great as well as they help with the tour and arranging transportation. The breakfast selection is good as well as they prepare for you when you get down. I like the idea that you can select your breakfast a day in advance. The staff went out of their way when we had a sunrise Angkor Wat tour that they prepare breakfast for us on the go. The only thing i didn't like about this hotel is there is no elevator. Good thing we were only on the second floor, however the bellman bring your luggage up for us so there shouldn't be any issue if you have bags. It's not good if you cannot walk up the stairs.
- ZoomPorsche (8/5): Just what you need! - We stayed 3 nights.
Fantastic location, good breakfast, basic needs for a good night sleep and shower.
Clean bed sheets and attached bathrooms.
Few steps away from pub st.
Frentdesk can help to plan your day trip.
- 437heidip (8/5): Great Location, Very Clean, New & decent service - I starting with the positive/Good but at end I least the 2 Warnings.
Hotel is new & beautifully done as a whole from the building to furnishings in the rooms with an excellent location to walk almost anywhere in Seam Reap town including the markets.
Rooms: They are beautifully done with the bed & pillows being very comfortable. The sheets aren't the highest quality but they still aren't bad at all. The shower is amazing with the sink & toilet area separate which is so nice. The rooms come with toothbrush/toothpaste, plastic shower cap , comb, Q-tips, shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, flip flops to use in the room & really nice robes. There is a small safe that will fit a newer MacBook Air in it plus few other items. There is a small patio off most of the rooms however the mosquitos are brutal at times.
The room offers a small tea set & filtered water for free, then a pay as you use mini bar.
Overall the room is very nice.
The only issue I had was I was in room 5, which is just a floor up from the lobby, which the staff is fairly loud setting up for the free breakfast in the AM, so that was a little bit of a bummer to be woken up to early. The phone in 5 didn't work so if I needed anything I had to go down to the front desk which wasn't bad just a little annoying at times when super early or late needing an iron/ironing board but didn't affect the overall stay.
THE WORST PART: DO NOT TAKE THE FREE SHUTTLE FROM AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL!!! It ends up a tuk tuk & seen only some older not so nice ones with the tuk tuk driver doing it to sell you tours, so if you have already booked tours like I had then you get complaining all the way to the hotel for 30 minutes, how he picked you up for nothing to get the tours, etc. It literally ended up setting the start off on wrong foot. Save yourself from this & just book a car in advance or download Grab app to use for the ride from airport. It will save you a lot. The tuk tuk drivers here in Seam Reap are fairly annoying & some aggressive in trying to get you in their tuk tuk to take you places. Most of the time you don't need one because from this hotel everything is walkable. This was truly the only major complaint I had. It was awful listening to the driver for the 30 minute ride then basically since I wasn't going to book tour with him, ask for a large tip to pay for the ride or cancel a tour & do it with him. Note if you use a tuk tuk driver for a tour they usually just drive you to the locations, they do not tell you anything about any of them or really answer any questions. Just take you, drop you off othen go park & wait for you to take you to next stop or back to hotel.
ONE OTHER ISSUE: DO NOT USE THEIR LAUNDRY SERVICE. I used it as I'm traveling for 5 weeks & thought ok finally need to get this done well they ruined a top & pair of pants plus returned all my laundry not even dry air tight in a plastic bag. If I hadn't picked it up when I did, it would of smelled like mold. They tried again to fix the 2 items, but still bad. It was ridiculous amount of energy & time for a full day to resolve. Also they did not want to pay the replacement cost of the items ruined even though had all the proof for it. They tried to say well the person who did the laundry doesn't make much, etc. & wanted to not pay replacement value, but my thing is why should I have to sacrifice my hard earned money in this situation. There should be a better system & if your doing a hotel laundry then experienced or supervisor to watch over. Some kind of safeguards. At end they finally paid cost of replacement but it was complete pain for the full day.
- wavingcat2019 (10/5): Amazing stay in Siem Reap - We spent 3 nights at the 1920 Hotel in December. I booked the hotel based on reviews and their website. I had lengthy email chats with Lisa, the manager who arranged our Angkor Wat tour. I cannot fault the hotel or staff. It was a really great place to stay. The location is terrific - minutes from Pub Street (not that we actually spent time there), close to many restaurants, bars, cafes, markets and perfect for exploring the old town by foot. We stayed in Room 10 - top floor with the plunge pool which I highly recommend. We enjoyed our privacy and were not disturbed by any noise from nearby Pub Street or other hotel guests. If we were to return to Siem Reap, I would definitely stay at the 1920 Hotel and ask for the same room!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was is a great hotel in a great location with very friendly and accommodating staff. I’ve been to various country’s in Asia over the past 6 years and have to say this is one of the best I’ve stayed in. It’s not a hotel for the amenities but for me I don’t need all that and they more than make up for it with everything else.
Continuing to be honest the only small issue I had was that the hot water was not hot long enough and forced you to have quick showers.
Overall I will be back to Siem Reap and when I do I won’t need to even look at other hotels which is the best compliment I can give!
- sambhashiva (10/5): - Pe
- LindaKK2013 (10/5): Great location. - This hotel is in a great location, it is very easy to walk around to the markets, the river and there are lots of good restaurants close by. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and a very good breakfast. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The only problem was the lack of a lift. We were giben a room on top and had to blimb so many stairs. Fortunately the staff carried our luggage both ways.
- Oskies7 (10/5): Honeymooners in Siem Reap - The 1920’s hotel was charming and the staff very warm and welcoming. If it’s your first time in Cambodia, do not be intimidated by the slightly dated tuk tuk (motorcycle pulling a cart) pick up at the airport. The rooms were well kept. The breakfast was delicious (we had the Asian and American options). On the day we had a tour pick up at 4am, they packaged the breakfast for us to take with us. It’s in a super convenient location a 5-7 minute walk away from restaurants, night-market, and pub street. Overall, we had great experience here for our honeymoon and would recommend it to others.
- Tim066 (10/5): Hidden Gem - Clean, quite, spacious room. Very good breakfast. Good location next to old market and near numerous restaurants. Very easy travel to airport and temples. When checked in had a cool drink waiting. Very prompt communication pretrip. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is good and room clean and nice
- df271 (10/5): Archaeology Package - Excellent experience overall, courteous and friendly staff, clean rooms, hearty and delicious breakfast (I selected the Western style), quiet street yet just a short walk to the Pub Street area. I partook in the Archaeology Package. My guide, Voath, was very knowledgeable of the history and religious significance behind every Angkor temple. He frequently shared interesting stories as he navigated us through the temples. We caught all the best photogenic spots while also finding more tranquil places off the beaten path of the crowds. Having a personal guide and driver streamlined the whole Angkor visiting process and allowed me to focus on the temples and not transportation between the temples, tickets, directions, etc. For this cold-climate tourist getting around in a car with air conditioning became all the more appreciated as each day wore on, complete with a complementary cold water and a cold towel.
- JuliusP202 (10/5): Two week stay in friendly 1920Hotel Siem Reap - I had a work assignment in Siem Reap so for my first ever visit to Cambodia, I chose an affordable and centrally located hotel for my two-week stay. This was the 1920Hotel. I got a very large suite on the upper floor. Large, airy, spacious with large lounging area with TV, a good sized desk for working, large double bed and bathroom, clean linen, small fridge, electric kettle and coffee machine. The suite layout was generous with plenty of space to relax in after a day working, sight-seeing, shopping or whatever other activity you wish to indulge in. Breakfast was rich and promptly prepared with items selected from a list. Best of all was the friendly staff and service, always willing to help or point out some place of interest or eating establishment.
Excellent A/C keeps you cool. Tuk-tuks are readily available for short or long trips.
Within a short distance are a vast number of excellent restaurants, and shops. If you need shampoo or toothpaste or any other item there is a mini-market 30 seconds away. Would definitely stay there again.
- Bailouindia (10/5): Bappaditya biswas - The best located hotel in siem reap is 1920 hotel. We saved a lot on transport as almost all prominent spots were walking distance. Excellent food choices all around the hotel. The highlight of the hotel was it's warm ,friendly and accomodating staff which made our stay very comfortable and pleasant. The reccomended tuktuk driver Mr. Neth and the guide to the angkor wat were very helpful and nice. The room was very clean, crisp and airy. The breakfast was nice but could have been a little more elaborate. On the whole the stay was very homely and secure. Thank you team 1920 hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very kind people!!! - Excellent location!!!
- Kimberly (10/5): Great hotel! Great location! - We had a fantastic experience here! The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was very clean, the a/c worked very well, the shower had great water pressure and the beds were super comfortable. It was close to a lot of great stuff such as restaurants, shopping and temples. Would highly recommend!!
- Storyteller287932 (10/5): Wonderful staff, Beautiful space! - We had a wonderful stay here! The entire staff was kind, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was included with the room, and both the American and Asian options were delicious. Our driver Mr. Neth was fantastic! We arranged complimentary airport pickup with him through the hotel, and he was then available for the rest of our transportation needs during our stay (temples, the circus, and back to the airport). We stayed in the 3rd floor suite with private jacuzzi and the room was clean, very spacious, and lovely (we didn’t mind the stairs one bit but please be aware there is not an elevator!). It is a smaller hotel which we appreciated. Some reviews below mention noise from a nearby bar being problematic. While we could hear music until about 10:30pm, it was more of a background rumble and did not bother us. Highly recommend and would stay again!
- MattSquire (10/5): Travel made easy - Fabulous little hotel with genuine personal service. We stayed three nights and the staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The rooms were exactly what we needed after temple exploring and a few to many sundowners. If you want to stay in a fantastic hotel in an excellent location, without any groups, this is the place for you. The personalized breakfasts were a special bonus - can’t wait to visit again and thank you for making us feel so welcome.
- SEATraveller99 (10/5): Quiet, homely hotel with great staff - The hotel is located just off the busy center of the town so that a host of restaurants, bars and cafes can be reached conveniently by foot without being exposed to the noise of Pub Road to much. The hotel has a cozy feel and staff is very helpful. A recommendation. Just one warning: The hotel does not have a lift, so you may have some stair climbing to do.
- SJM (10/5): - Beautiful room. Great location. Good water pressure! Hot shower. Great staff
- Q3639TGsusang (10/5): Love this place! would definately recommend. - We had the upstairs suite and it was magnificent. Lovely outdoor tub ... beautiful design with accents of real flowers throughout. I never would have expected this in Cambodia. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with arranging transportation to the ruins. Wonderful breakfast to start the day. Lots of smiles from everyone!
- paulmO5776WK (10/5): recommend this hotel - Hotel was ideally located to the centre of Siem Reap, stuff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a very warm welcome.
Rooms were clean and adequate for our needs. good location for pub street, but could not hear any noise from street which meant a good nights sleep.
- W313KMsarahp (10/5): Fantastic Boutique Hotel - We stayed in the suite room on the third floor. It is very spacious, private and surprisingly peaceful, with a lovely spa on the balcony. For the price it represents incredible value. If looking at booking a suite I would recommend the one on the third floor if you are physically able to walk a few flights of stairs. The bottom floor suite has no area for relaxing in private, and while it has a small pool, as opposed to the spa on the third floor suite, it is pretty exposed.
The location is excellent - very central to everything. Do try Olive Cuisine a couple of doors over - amazing French food.
I really loved the design of the whole hotel, it was very much to my taste.
All the staff were lovely.
We used Mr Thy for our tours and found him to be very reliable, professional and friendly.
The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. If I could make a suggestion it would be to allow guests to remove things from their breakfast order. I am not a huge eater and feel guilty for wasting food at home from an environmental perspective, but feel even worse for wasting food in countries where people work hard just to feed their families. I attempted to cross items off my breakfast order but they still turned up.
- MarkAlaska (10/5): Loved it - Wonderful little hotel. Very comfortable - most importantly it is in the middle of everything - near the river, food carts, restaurants, very close to pub street. Staff was so friendly and accommodating - great job folks! Breakfast on the hotel porch watching the neighborhood waking up was really fun. Room was very comfortable - we had room 10 - living room area and desk and porch with jacuzzi was nice. Really loved it.
- bulentek (10/5): Excellent hotel - Great location, very clean hotel. Breakfast is very good. The staff is excellent. Ms Lin is one of best hotel managers I have ever seen. She is so kind and caretaker. She is doing her best to make you comfortable. The whole staff is so friendly. I strongly recommend the hotel.
- Curious200872 (10/5): An excellent boutique hotel - I had the pleasure of staying here in June. The staff are friendly, courteous, professional and considerate. I was even allowed to use the facilities afterwards to freshen up. Rooms are spacious and clean. Definitely recommend
- David (10/5): Fantastic boutique hotel with fab breakfast - We absolutely loved our stay here. Such a good location and our made to order breakfast was really nice.
The room was very spacious and comfortable with a terrific shower. The staff were also so friendly and helpful.
We'd definitely stay here again
- Trekker1977 (6/5): Ok for the price and location - This hotel has great design and location. It is one short stroll walk from old market and have great taste in design.. Condition of room was not at its best and level of staff English was not at the level. I had to repeat quite a few times to get what I wanted..
- Christopher (10/5): - Great location, super friendly staff, and really great room. Everything was exceedingly clean and aesthetically pleasing. I will be back here for work, and will definitely stay here again.
- Ivy (10/5): - I like most is their staff, very friendly although their English is limited but very nice, try their best to help you. Breakfast is good, room is very clean, near attractions and very quiet. We stay in the suite on top floor, very nice room. Special thanks to Ms Sreynich help me to make reservation, Ms Lin escorted me to dinner, Mr Chasy bring my luggage, Mr Kan his friendly service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were amazing - accommodating and helpful to the extreme. The breakfast was stunning, loads of food, fresh and delicious. Perfect location. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!
- Michael (10/5): Charming & Welcoming! - This is a charming boutique hotel with a fabulous staff about a block from Pub Street. We felt very welcome and loved our stay. When we return, this hotel will be our choice.
- Conor (6/5): Reasonable value for the money - Okay hotel. Good breakfast. Quite a bit of noise from nearby highway. Better to spend a bit more and be by the river
- Deborah (10/5): Highly recommend! - Our experience was outstanding, the location was perfect, walking distance to everything yet on a quite street, and service was excellent. The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive and accommodating. The facilities were meticulous, and very comfortable. Highly recommend, would definitely stay there again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful stay at the 1920 hotel. The service was outstanding, especially Liza, who helped me organize my tours and site visits. The markets and restaurants around the 1020 hotel are charming and excellent. I look forward to a future longer stay at the 1920 hotel!
- Ava (10/5): - The hotel has an amazing location, in the center but not on a very busy street, close to everything but quiet. The stuff is lovely, breakfasts are delicious and rooms a great. I really enjoyed staying at the hotel
- Ariel (8/5): - Good location. Just a block away from Pub Street and a convenience store is just around the corner. The staffs are great. Their attitude is superb and they are very polite. We were there during the celebration of the water festival. As the river is very close to the hotel we could hear loud music and crowd cheering sounds from morning till night and it was quite noisy. One negative point is that every night there were mice running through the air-conditioner ventilation and this was very disturbing.
- Mike (10/5): - Had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided excellent service. Thank you to Keo and San! The hotel is in the heart of Siem Reap but in a quieter street, so you get great sleep but also easy access to the restaurants and nightlife.
- Christopher (10/5): Highly recommended - A great location after an exhausting day at Angkor Wat and a long bus ride from Phnom Penh
- Angeline (10/5): - Very cosy and comfortable room with excellent location. Decoration is pleasing and relaxing. Information in the letter and welcome letter was also a very nice touch and shows a lot of "heart" went into each stay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Keep up the great service !
- Verified traveler (10/5): Worth Every Penny for Comfort and Luxury - Tucked away from the rowdiness of Pub Street, the hotel and its staff are wonderful. Large, beautiful, and clean air conditioned rooms with a huge breakfast included in the rate. Staff were able to arrange anything we needed and we enjoyed walking around the corner to get into the thick of things. Definitely recommended!
- paul (10/5): very nice hotel and staff - staff name miss.Kaew is very very helpful mind person, i love this place for the overall
- Hamizah (10/5): Perfect! - One of the reasons I chose this hotel in Siem Reap is because of location and reviews. This hotel did not disappoint and I could not fault the hotel at all. Its located within short 5 mins walking distance to Pub Street, the Old Market and Angkor Art Center Nightmarket. It's also secluded enough that you don't hear all the noise at night. The room is decent sized and tastefully decorated. Bed and pillows are comfortable. You get a choice of set breakfast either to be taken at the restaurant, delivered to your room or as take away. The breakfast was delicious. Staffs are super courteous and very helpful. From before check in till check out, all my dealings with the hotel is such a breeze. Absolutely loved my stay here and will definitely return.
- Wendy (10/5): Wonderful hotel close to everything. - I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. The room was stunning. It was comfortable, clean and exceeded my expectations. Mr Neth, our tuk tuk driver both to and from the airport and for a day tour of Angkor Wat temples, was great. He did a great job pointing out areas along the way to take photos and waited while we toured the temples. Location is close to everything without being loud. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful experience!!! - We had such a lovely stay at 1920. The hotel is very well located, a block away from the lively market and restaurant area, yet it is on a quiet street which is a lovely balance for a vacation. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very well kept up, everything is very well though out with lots of care for detail, which is very much appreciated by the couple of architects that we are. But the really outstanding part of this hotel is the service: we were contacted by the hotel right away to set up for a complementary pickup at the airport, and got lots of feedback from Christopher on options for tours and activities. Manager Hak was there to receive us and was really kind and helpful with everything, going out of his way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. All the staff is just great! Breakfast was delicious. I just can’t say enough how great a place this is!
- Annie (10/5): Comfortable boutique hotel in Siem Reap - We loved this beautiful, clean, and charming hotel in the heart of Siem Reap! The rooms are comfortable and clean, and it’s close to the Old Quarter and Pub Street areas without any of the noise. We would definitely stay here again!
- anna (10/5): Lovely hotel! - Gorgeous hotel, excellent service. A little mid-century modern oasis. Upgraded to the suite and thought it was worth it. Great value.
- Ferdinand (10/5): excellent hotel in a great area - The 1920 is a nice hotel, about two blocks away from Pub Street on a street. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and spacious.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Siem Reap, I definitely recommend the 1920. There are some good restaurants (Khmer Grill, Chanrey Tree) within walking distance, and there’s a cute alleyway behind the hotel with some cafes and jewelry shops.
- Sirada (10/5): Nice and pleasant stay! - The hotel is chic, modern and beautiful . It is well designed. We stayed there for 4 nights and got a room with the balcony. The breakfast was also nice with a huge portion and tasty which enough until lunch. They also provided a room service breakfast so that we had our breakfast at the balcony which is really peaceful and lovely with the temple view behind.
The stuff were very helpful and take good care of you even in small details.
What is more, the location is perfect for discovering Siem Reap city, close to famous cafes and Pub Street.
Definitely recommend to friends and family! Will stay there agian next time!
- Barry (10/5): Perfect place to stay - We had an amazing stay. The staff were all amazing, friendly and so helpful. The location is perfect. Breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend!
- Aleksandra (10/5): The Unexpected - What a delightful experience in all respects, from the moment we arrived, Friendly professional and attentive staff made us feel at home. Certainly far exceeded our expectations. The Hotel is unique, with only ten rooms you almost feel you are in an exclusive upmarket apartment with personal staff around. The ambience is beautiful, a garden setting within the building contributes to the overall experience.
- Teresa (8/5): Beautiful hotel with excellent staff - Although the hotel is small, it is tidy and clean. The staff are so nice and helpful.
- fatima (10/5): Unsurpassed quality for little price quantity - 1920 is simply one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at ever!! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, caught a mistake in billing (my fault, I booked three instead of the two rooms we needed) and they did the work of getting me the refund instead of going thru the app as I was supposed to. The hotel itself is an oasis of serenity; it's beautiful and tasteful in its modernity and old world charm. It's located in a quiet street but walking distance to the thick of it. The breakfast was over the top in quantity and quality, hot water, great toiletries, their spa a gem, and they even picked us up from the airport with Mr. kong in his tuk tuk. We rode with him for three days: he is warm and friendly and took us all over. I highly recommend this hotel, for any type of traveler. Family, solo, couples: the price for the quality is something I've rarely experienced and I travel a lot. Book without hesitation! I actually plan to go back within my 6 weeks travel around SE Asia.
- Dan (10/5): hotel 1920 - Loved it! Free pickup in tuk tuk from airport, amazing, friendly staff, cute hotel, only 10 rooms or so, very close to pub st but no noise at all. Will stay again, staff were so great to us, thanks :)
- john (8/5): overall the hotel is a winner - overall the stay was good but the stairs wete not easy to climb and no elevator
the brrakfast each motning was very good and the sraff was freindly and responsive
- Patrick (10/5): Will return - Well kept little hotel in the middle of Siem Reap. Great service and friendly staff. If you don't mind steps, great place to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): What a stay!!! - Exceptional. The hotel staff from AMAZING, Hong Kong was very attentive at check-in, assisting with multiply request for personal tours. The room was exceptionally clean, the mattress was comfy, the water pressure and temp was perfect. The hotel is located in Old Market walking distance to Pub Street (3 min walk) and the Night Market (3 min walk). A variety of great Khmer, Mexican and American restaurants in the area. A lot of shopping in walking distance as well as top rated massage spots. I walked along the river during the day which had great sights of Siem Reap which is a 2 min walk from the hotel. My second day I scheduled the sunrise tour of Angkor Wat, my tuk tuck driver was prompt and the hotel provided a breakfast box to go for my trip. I would absolutely stay again.
- Anand (10/5): Great location! - Great location to explore all the main sites in Georgetown/Penang! Nice breakfast, good service.
- Franklin (10/5): Gold Standard Customer Service - In my experience, the customer service provided by the hotel staff was unparalleled. They were so friendly and bent over backwards to make sure I had the best experience possible. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anybody visiting Siem Reap.
- Mohamed (10/5): Simply amazing.. Friendly and nice staff - The hotel staff are amazing.. The location is perfect. No swimming pool but who cares.
- Yew Wai (10/5): Good little boutique hotel - Great service. Great location. You can walk to the Pub Street in 5 minutes yet you can't hear the noise. However, across from the hotel is a temple and you might be able to hear their early morning chants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): great location, cute hotel - room was great. staff was super nice and great about arranging airport pickups and tuk tuks. breakfast was lovely. location is great for walking to all the shops, bars and restaurants
- Naomi (8/5): - The staff was most helpful and took care of our needs.
- Gilas (8/5): Nice boutique hotel near the Old Market Siem Reap - The hotel is located less than a minute from the Old Market. So, 1920 Hotel is great for exploring the city. The hotel rooms (we took the top floor suite and a standard double) are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. If there is a quibble, the proximity to Pub Street meant you could still hear the beat of music late into the night. So, this might not be ideal if you were a light sleeper.
The hospitality is personable and very charming. It is a small hotel with only ten rooms, and the front desk staff enquired every time we returned from tour or dinner. Honestly, there were minor lapses in a couple of areas. The front desk team, Phann and Lineth, and the ever present Mr Senghak, however were most helpful in addressing our concerns. In particular, Mr Senghak was keen to improve. Some of the minor issues we encountered were possibly "teething issues" in a newly established boutique hotel as opposed to an established international chain with the requisite experience of operating and managing in various location around the world for years. I am sure the "software" upgrades would be constant with their enthusiasm to improve.
Kudos to Mr Senghak and his team for making our stay enjoyable. We would certainly consider staying at Hotel 1920 again whenever we visit Siem Reap in
- Kevin (10/5): Amazing staff. - The staff was incredible at this hotel. 5 stars.
