- PeoriaB (10/5): Great Service Even During Peak Check-In - I had a great work stay at Andaz Scottsdale while attending a conference. The property was clearly very busy, but the team handled everything with professionalism and warmth throughout. That stood out not only at reception, but also with the on-site hotel staff and event attendants, who were all helpful, attentive, and clearly committed to guest service. The front desk team especially made a strong impression. Check-in was hectic, with what felt like everyone arriving at the same time, but they remained friendly, patient, and professional the entire time. The resort itself is beautiful. I did not get much time to fully enjoy it because of the conference schedule, but it left a very positive impression, and I would absolutely return in the future for a leisure stay. Overall, a very strong stay made even better by an excellent team.

The food was top notch, swimming pools were so clean and fancy. Morning yoga, a gym that is half inside and half outside make morning workouts unique and worth waking up for.
- MLEhoffman (6/5): Good not great - Suggest trying else where - My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and left feeling disappointed. There were some highlights, the pastry chef is phenomenal and I’d recommend ordering a cake for a special occasion any time. The grounds are meticulously well kept and beautiful. Our main issue was expecting this to be a health and wellness resort/retreat. You’d think that based on the experiences on their website and way they market them that there would be an abundance of classes - but instead these things are offered once a week. There are no daily meditations or daily yoga or aerial yoga. Ok - so we are bummed about this, surely there will be nice equipment for us to practice on our own and get a great gym to work out - also not the case. The gym is woefully small and incredibly cramped if more than one person is looking to use free weights. There are no yoga blocks or other accessories and very limited mats - there’s also no space or yoga studio. In general we thought that we’d be able to work out and eat healthy as needed (of course we still ante cake!) and that wasn’t the case. While the food was quite good for a hotel - most dishes were very heavy. I think some type of lighter fare menu may be nice - additionally breakfast was a little chaotic on some days with them running out of drink ware for speciality coffees, etc. and kitchen being very backed up. (The breakfast options were quite nice) I tried booking a cabana prior to hotel arrival and the system was broken, it involved multiple calls with my Hyatt concierge and if it wasn’t for her, I don’t know that it would have worked. I had called hotel for help, they said they’d leave message for manager to call back and book and…that never happened. Resort pass gave an email with the booking error and again no response from there either. It was annoyingly stressful trying to plan a surprise cake delivery to a cabana when I couldn’t even book it! There are signs in the room telling you not to leave your patio doors open to reduce amount of bugs in room, but when we came by our room and housekeeping was there they had the door propped open - and yes, my husband had to remove 4 bugs from the room during our stay. The room service menu was outdated - it had switched but the menus hadn’t been changed. This is a $500-$700 a night hotel, overall not worth the splurge and value in my opinion - things should just be more buttoned up in my opinion The hotel emailed me asking if we needed anything special prior to stay. I responded with my husbands birthday and they said they’d put a simple note and message (that’s all I asked for) in our room - after sending a long reply and ensuring me they’d do something … they also did not this. So what was the point of going through all those emails? It was a lot of wasted time for me trying to plan things In general, it’s nice hotel, but not worth the money in my opinion.

I booked with World of Hyatt points, so my stay was free and parking was waived. Loved being able to park right behind our bungalow, though it was a bit far from the main pool and restaurant. Rooms were spacious, but I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy and the lighting was dim. Bathrooms were large and nice. Overall 4/5 — mainly due to the restaurant. Service was slow (almost an hour for mains), and only the pasta stood out.
- jaypeeswife (10/5): Great Anniversary Getaway! - What an amazing hotel! We stayed for four nights for our 22nd anniversary and it was a great getaway. The layout of the bungalows gives it a Caribbean resort-like feel. The resort was amazingly clean and well cared for and the rooms were just as nice. The bungalows aren't huge (we stayed in a king room) but it was great for what we needed. We enjoyed having a patio for drinking coffee in the mornings. It was a peaceful and quiet hotel, which we enjoyed. The pool was great with plenty of chairs for everyone. I would suggest a few more umbrellas. Ohio people can't take the Arizona sun at full strength! The staff was very welcoming and even sent us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel itself is located close to a ton of restaurants and shopping. It never took us more than 15-20 minutes to get where we wanted to go. Overall it was an amazing experience and we would definitely stay here again!!

Bungalows are roomy and the private patios are a nice touch. I was expecting a bit more service and personal touches given the Andaz brand and premium price. But overall, everything was nice.

It is so nice to leave the bungalow and walk through the gorgeous grounds instead of some hallway in a traditional hotel. The restaurant is top notch, the gym and spa are outstanding.

- 797denisr (6/5): Want to be treated like a cash machine? - Want to be treated like a cash machine? Andaz Scottsdale is the place for you. Upon checking in, I was offered multiple opportunities to spend more on my Hyatt points stay. As a Hyatt "elite" (Hyatt's word), complimentary upgraded rooms are supposedly offered at check-in when available. Instead, I was offered the opportunity to upgrade for a fee; so I know upgrades were available -- just not as a courtesy for a "valued guest." After my stay, I brought this to the hotel's attention, and they apologized. Period. There was no attempt to make it up to me, just words. If you decide to attempt to stay here anyway, I suggest you call for directions as you will have trouble finding it hidden behind a shopping mall, restaurant, & apartment complex. We drove around using GPS, but it literally took us a half hour & a lot of guesswork based on surrounding addresses as guides to find it. Would I stay again? No, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
- zennas2021 (6/5): Beautiful overpriced stay - The Andaz Scottsdale is a beautiful property with thoughtfully designed grounds and a great overall aesthetic. The facilities and common areas are lovely, and several members of the staff were genuinely kind and eager to help, which we appreciated. However, for the price point, the overall experience fell short of expectations. We were placed in an accessible room where the shower had no door or curtain, which resulted in water leaking all over the bathroom floor every time it was used. It made the space difficult to use comfortably. Service was also inconsistent. Breakfast service was surprisingly slow despite there being several servers on the floor, and the experience at the bar was disappointing—the staff there came across as curt and unwelcoming. Another issue was the room temperature overnight. Around 3 a.m. the air conditioning seemed to shut off, and the room became uncomfortably warm, which made for a pretty abrupt wake-up. Overall, the property itself is beautiful and some staff members were excellent, but given the nightly rate, we expected a more polished and consistent experience.

From the staff to the facilities to the room itself, everything was fantastic. We were lucky enough to stay in a suite, which even came with a cabana at the pool, and we truly felt so well taken care of the entire time. It was the perfect few days…catching some spring training, enjoying all the great food around Phoenix, but mostly just relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sunshine before heading back home. ☀️

A few highlights: Amazing service - Adrian at check-in totally hooked us up and was super flexible. Jason drove us around, helped with bicycles, etc. Both great guys, kind, and helpful. Everyone bent over backwards to give us a great experience. Bicycles - These are free to borrow. Tons of trails around here. I loved the canal trail. Took it to Old Town Scottsdale and also took it the other direction to watch a spring training Indians game at Salt River Park. Bungalows - Love the rooms, outdoor patios, and ground level access. Camelback Mtn - Hiked up to the top after the resort gave us a free ride to the Colla Trailhead. Well worth it and the free rides within 3 miles are amazing. Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market - Loved this. Trader Joes - Less than a mile away and easy walk to get there. Great way to save money on food. Outdoor setting - Feels like a park, citrus trees, amazing landscaping, and everything blooming smelled amazing! Globalist - As a Globalist, I used my category 1-7 free night for one night and paid 25k points for the other night. Worked out great! Pool - Spent a ton of time there. Clean, warm, and service with drinks and snacks was excellent. No car needed - Uber here from the airport then can walk, bike, or use the hotel's free shuttle to get everywhere.

The property is absolutely stunning—quiet, beautifully landscaped, and thoughtfully designed. The overall atmosphere felt calm and tranquil, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the on-site birds of prey rescue experience, where guests were able to learn more about these incredible animals. Seeing and learning about a red-tailed hawk and a great horned owl up close was a unique and memorable highlight of our visit. We also really enjoyed the pool, which was beautiful and perfectly heated, and the breakfast at the on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious. This was our first stay at an Andaz property, and it was exactly why my wife and I love discovering new Hyatt hotels. The setting, experiences, and overall ambiance were everything we look for when traveling, and we would happily return.

From the moment I arrived, everything about the property felt special. The grounds are stunning—lush, thoughtfully designed, and impeccably maintained—creating a peaceful, resort-style atmosphere that feels both luxurious and relaxed. The accommodations were very comfortable and well-appointed, and the staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout my stay. The food and drinks at the on-site restaurant were also a highlight—everything I tried was excellent and exceeded expectations. Location-wise, the hotel is ideal. It’s only about a 20–25 minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and conveniently close to Old Town Scottsdale, making it easy to enjoy local shops, restaurants, and nightlife while still having a quiet place to unwind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort and would absolutely return.

Looks like the main motivation of this hotel is to cut corners, miss information regards to construc - My heater in the room didn’t work regardless to an attempts by the staff to fix. I was told that the hotel invested $150,000.. and it’s not working right. I had 2 portables heathers, and two blankets and was miserable my all stay. Moving was not an option, regardless to me paying extra per nite, as an up grade. Also, the WiFi was not working right . The hotel main pool was under construction the whole week, no heads up communication, building construction behind my room, noise from 7:15 daily, no heads up communications, the gym is missing necessary equipment, no water cups, no hands sanitation, dirty equipment. Customer service is poor and disrespectful from the owners, general manager, and staff. See above …i hated this place.

The one restaurant on property was nice, with a good variety of food for both brunch and dinner. The Poolside food was excellent. It has these really unique small Casita bungalow scattered across the property, which makes it feel very private and boutique. The staff is always lovely, from the moment you check in, and throughout the day. The heated saltwater pool is divine. The views are incredible. The food and drink are excellent. And we even love the art in the gift shop!! Just perfect all around.

A group of us stayed here to run Every Woman's Marathon in November of 2025. We were well taken care of by the staff and we were pleasantly surprised that our room was upgraded to a suite! Charlie the manager is amazing and made sure our stay was top notch!

This resort exceeded all expectations. Despite a rocky experience with preplanning arrivals through the Chase Exit portal, the staff really shined. In fact, we made friends with all staff we encountered. This clearly starts with the top- Charlie, the manager was friendly, accommodating, and a true leader. Bartenders Javier and Joel and server Dom went above and beyond. There are a lot of choices of 5* resorts in this area but none match this level of genuine, heartfelt service. Bravo! Can’t wait to return! A true gem. Highly recommend

My main concern with the hotel I booked was ensuring that I did not need to wake up early to reserve chairs by the pool. Not having a schedule worked well and we never struggled to get a seat at their restaurant, workout at the gym, or chair by the pool. Staff was super helpful as well. The only complaint I have is that drinks were much more expensive than other restaurants in the area.

The grounds are pristine and provide amenities such as back patios on the bungalows, fire pits and hammocks. Food and drinks were always excellent. The bar and pool vibes are trendy yet sophisticated. We always ended the night with a drink and relaxing time by the fire pit. We loved being able to put our baby to sleep and enjoy wine on the patio. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. All the food and beverages we enjoyed on site were delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer!
- L0la88 (10/5): Relaxing Stay - We came to Scottsdale for a 5 night stay this past week. While we needed to change rooms it wasn’t a problem and Anastasia professionally obliged. The property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We spent time at the pool and had excellent service especially from Elan. She was warm and friendly every day anticipating all our needs. The restaurant has excellent food and we were lucky enough to have Andrew serve us several meals. Very nice, professional, and friendly. The rooms are mid century modern, sparse and a little dark. While the bathroom was huge and had a skylight. We also had two patios front and back. My only criticism is the rooms need a refresh. While clean and comfortable certain things missed the mark. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I would avoid a room back by the parking and loading dock as it is less private.

- 1dmpablo (4/5): Champagne Taste, Five-Star Price, Motel Follow-Through - I booked Andaz Scottsdale to celebrate my first wedding anniversary and made that clear when reserving. I was told the concierge would contact me within 24–48 hours to arrange spa services, but three days passed with no call. When I followed up, I was told to book the Palo Verde Spa myself—information that could’ve been shared from the start. The spa made no effort to accommodate a couples massage, even after I explained it was our anniversary and offered to pay more if needed. I would understand a denial if this were due to poor planning on my part, but I was told someone would reach out—and they never did. By the time I contacted them (the day before our stay), the spa was fully booked. Staff showed little empathy when I raised my concerns, and the only gesture offered was champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries at my expense, adding another $200. After our stay, I even called about a missing item, left a voicemail with housekeeping (Sophia), and still haven’t received a call back two days later. Don’t get me wrong—the hotel is beautiful. But as the old saying goes, if you’re ugly on the inside, you’re ugly on the outside too. For a nearly $1,000 one-night bungalow stay, I expected far better communication, empathy, and follow-through. I spent a lot of time choosing an LGBTQ+-friendly resort with great reviews, but this experience fell far short. Andaz Scottsdale could be exceptional, but it needs a serious reset in customer service and accountability.

The views, the vibe and the outstanding service and attention to detail are some of the many reasons we continue to return. They are very accommodating and decorated the room beautifully on both occasions. Very quiet property and very nice spa. Staff is very attentive to needs. Highly recommend the Cabana suite rooms and the restaurant where we held a brunch is delicious.

Excellent food at the restaurant and room service. Be sure to visit the ladies at the spa and take advantage of the pool. I find it a bit more comfortable than the main pool. I was very hot so please take the water they offer you when you leave. It was nice to have golf carts around the property and car service to local restaurants nearby.

The grounds are gorgeous and impeccably kept and the pools are second to none. I didn't use the spa this time, but the massage I had there last summer is the best I've had in my life. I already can't wait to go back - this is definitely going to be my annual solo recharge trip destination. Huge shout out to Colin whose hospitality truly took my stay to the next level!

From the welcome drink, to the sound bath, to the spacious rooms full of light, to the e-bikes, and distance to shops and restaurants---the experience at The Andaz in Scottsdale is top tier. I look forward to returning next year.
- Odyssey764327 (4/5): Great location! rooms need refreshed - Fantastic location in Scottsdale the vast property is laid out which will take a bit of walking to and from the front desk and/or restaurant, pool and meeting rooms. The best part was Jason at the front door, he is an amazing employee as we were departing, his genuine care and engagement with our group softened the poor stay (we did not share our experience with anyone btw) This may be my first TA review! As for the guest room; it was quiet and at the farthest point away from the outlets, which at 116 degrees will engage your survivalist instinct. For an upscale brand of Hyatt our guest room was surprising very tired in need of repairs. Not an exhaustive list: once entered....carpet from foyer area was obviously snagged and run, perhaps damaged from vacuuming, the rooms bed frame was broken, red lipstick stains on the clean white towel hanging on the towel bar, the left corner of the bathroom vanity was covered up by a strange blue diamond shaped tile poorly installed, the credenza/desk was bubbles from water damage. Maybe other rooms are better . Your mileage may vary!

We booked a cabana room that opened directly onto the pool—such a fun and relaxing setup. The pool had a great vibe with an awesome DJ, perfect for celebrating. The service across the board was exceptional, but a special shoutout to the front desk for surprising me with a complimentary bottle of Tito’s when I came looking for ice—such a thoughtful and unexpected birthday gesture! The restaurant was phenomenal—easily one of the best meals we’ve had at a resort. In fact, we loved it so much, we made the drive back just for Valentine’s Day dinner (even though we didn’t stay overnight that time). Everything about our experience was top-tier. We’ll definitely be back!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking available near your room. We visited in July and took advantage of the pools, which were clean and well attended. I should note that we have no interest in golf, high end shopping, or overpriced restaurants, so I cannot speak to the ease of access to those things. We did appreciate the Trader Joe's and Thai restaurant in the nearby shopping center.

- jowo89 (6/5): Lovely hotel too bad about the Resort Fee - Minus one star just for the resort fee which is ridiculous. Just raise your room rate $50 instead of breaking it out into this ridiculous charge covering things that no one wants or asked for. Charging $50 more and providing those same benefits as “included” achieves the same effect without leaving the guest feeling ripped off. However, breaking out that $50/day is going to crap just leaves a bad taste and feels dishonest since you can’t avoid it. The hotel otherwise was quite nice and provided a relaxing weekend retreat. I appreciated the Bungalow setup and the large room and bathroom. The location is a bit a back and not a convenient walk to other restaurants/venues around Scottsdale. Food onsite is what you’d expect from a hotel but slightly elevated and with the elevated prices that come with it. When in Scottsdale I’d consider the Andaz again but might look at hotels closer to Old Town first.

The bungalows are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer a peaceful escape surrounded by stunning desert scenery. I loved relaxing by the pool, which was always clean and inviting. The on-site dining options were fantastic, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Every detail of the resort feels thoughtfully curated, creating a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. - 854erickat (6/5): Solo birthday vacation - The resort is just "okay" to me. I think it's a little over priced. The dinner menu didn't have great options. I had issues with bugs in my room. They had some one removed one bug. Later that evening another bug was found. I handled it on my own the 2nd and 3rd time. I didn't leave my room door open or have any food out. They just have an issue with bugs (there is a small note referring to nuisances/bugs). The hotel gave me two free drinks to compensate for the inconvenience 😕. I would just prefer no bugs! The spa didn't offer any flexibility in scheduling. The cost of the hotel is too high especially being boutique. Overall nice hotel, I wouldn't stay there again. Can't say I would recommend it for any special reasons.

The little patio outside my room was the perfect place to sit and read and the full fruited lemon tree shading the spot made me want to come back to see them turn that lovely shade of yellow. I loved the room, the decor and the bathroom was perfect. There wasn't anything I didn't like. This is my new home in Arizona.

I've been a Hyatt Explorist for several years and never had stayed at this Andaz, but since the wife came with, I decided to flex a little. The resort is wonderful, the bungalows terrific, & food excellent. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm back in town.

The resort grounds are beautifully maintained and easy to navigate — every detail felt intentional and serene. We stayed in the Retreat area, which gave us exclusive access to the spa, gym, and a more private pool — a perfect touch of luxury and tranquility. The resort activities like the fireside social and live music were a fun and thoughtful bonus that added to the experience. Room service was prompt and thorough, and every request was met with professionalism and kindness. One highlight was the poolside bar — the Mahi Jerk Sandwich was delicious, and Jon, our bartender, gave great recommendations and was so courteous throughout our stay. What really stood out was the attentiveness of the manager and staff. On the hottest Arizona days, they made sure our room was comfortably cool — and it was! The location is also a major plus: you're close to great restaurants, shops, and anything else you might need. We’re already looking forward to our return — this place is a gem!
