- Renato Rodrigo (10/5): - Lugar tranquilo, super organizado, limpo e com todas as facilidades possíveis. Só não percebi se havia lavanderia própria. Voltaria várias vezes. Recomendo e muito!
- Andy (10/5): - Facilidades para check-in y check out
- Charlene (10/5): - Very quiet, clean, and comfortable. Close to the train station as well

- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing stay - Very cozy and clean. We had a lovely stay.
- Un Kuan (8/5): - The stay is value for money.
Pros:
- good view of the Mt. Fuji in the room
- walkable distance to train station
- there are restaurants nearby which will open till 10 or 11pm
- hostel provides free bread, coffee and fruit
- condition of the room is better than expected
Cons:
- the host/staff was not really hospitable, this didn't mean any impoliteness though
- sound insulation is really really bad, please be aware if you are a light sleeper
- not enough slippers, need to bring your own one
- Timothée (10/5): - Great cozy athmosphere, daily handmade bread available as well as bananas. We also rented bikes directly on site for cheaper than other options we reviewed before.
- Willy (10/5): - Excellent place to start a Mt Fuji adventure! Yes, it is a hostel but very clean and has everything you need.
- Cole (10/5): - The staff was nice and the location had convenient access to transportation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Ruth (8/5): - Great view of Mt Fuji. Host made the best bread ever
- SAWITREE (10/5): - Very clean
Staff is very kind.
- Loy (10/5): - Excellent location to the station and to some amenities like Fuji Q Highland, Lake kawaguchi and the Fuji Senjen Shrine. The property is clean, like a home, quiet, nice view of Mt.Fuji. There is a free fresh bread for the guests made by the owner and a free coffee too. The owner is very nice. Just across the street, there is a nice and affordable restaurant. When my family and I will come back, we’ll definitely be staying in this place again.
- James M (10/5): - One of the best places I have stayed! A I really liked The rental bike. It was so convenient to go visit the Chureito Pagoda! no need to go to public transit!
- Roseloren (8/5): - Very clean. I felt really comfortable. Just got cold in the hallway. Bed and comforter are comfortable. Really like the view of Mt.. Fuji from the bedroom.
- Lech (10/5): - What a great place. The hotel emailed us check-in instructions in case we arrived late. The facilities were very clean, we were able to store our bags prior to the check-in time, the location is excellent. The hotel includes detailed directions on how to use the facilites in Englisha nd is short walk from the train and shrine. We also had a nice view of Mt. Fuji from our room. The owner was very nice and pleasant. Overall, this hostel exceeded our expectations and I would stay here again. Great value.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Hostel with private rooms close to station
- SoundOfPurple (10/5): 5 STARS - 1. Comfy BUNKS: curtains, lamp, 2 elec sockets.
2. Big SHOWERS: soap, conditioner, shampoo, water PRESSURE.
3. BREAKFAST included: cereal, toast, tea, coffee.
4. Home made BREAD!
5. LOCATION: near the Fujisan Station.
6. Strong WIFI.
7. Owner w/an ARTISTIC flair: he gives each an origami crane.
Hostel Fujisan You sets the bar. Those that find fault w/ Hostel Fujisan You, probably are the dwarf Grumpy incarnate.
- Refugio (4/5): - Lots of clutter.
The gentleman at reception appeared unhappy was very short with any questions. Example: asked for restaurants in the area, he just grunted and pointed at a folder behind me.
In the morning, he opened up the doors and began making lots of noise. I guess check out time was changed to 1000, and i was late.
Otherwise plenty of blankets and very warm.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very close to Mt Fuji Station. We were able to have a peek at Mt Fuji from the window of our room!
Friendly and helpful owner although he is not well versed in english. Loved his homemade bread!
Hostel is well maintained and well equipped with all the necessities you need.
Highly recommended!
- Hayley (8/5): Clean and central - Nice clean and comfortable stay. Free breakfast with home made bread ok not much space for everyone to sit. Owner is interesting as I think he isn’t as grumpy as he comes across rather he doesn’t speak enough English to hold a conversation so just stays quiet. But pleasant enough!
- Verified traveler (4/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- 252kyliec (8/5): Budget friendly and nice hostel - I had never stayed in a hostel before, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very clean place, has a wonderfully fun decor, fresh bread and eggs up for grabs, and all other funky features like band aids and toothbrushes -
It was quite amazing for a novice like me!
The rooms are small and basic: our had one bunk set and one single. I found the mattress a little thin, but gents didn’t complain. The lounge area is compact, but was good for engaging with other travelers. It’s not the place to have late night fun though, as sound carries a little.
The host was a bit cold, but no matter really.

- 2xshi (10/5): Cosy hostel, sincere owner - Booked a private room for 3 pax with an amazing view of Fujisan. My friends and I were impressed with the hostel - it was super clean and equipped with a whole range of amenities beyond the basics such as facial tissue, tooth brush, tooth paste, free flow of boiled eggs, home made bread, calbee granola etc. There are guidebooks with recommendation of nearby eateries, restaurant and recommended places of interest for our reference.
Even though I did not get a chance to interact with the owner, I could feel the sincerity and passion of the owner in running the hostel and his desire to provide the best experience for his customers simply through the decoration of the whole hostel - from the little ninja stickers on the wall, flowers decorated tissue box to the little touch of leaving a paper crane on each bed etc - all these makes the hostel a very cosy place to stay in. I have no qualms but praises for the hostel and would not hesitate to stay there again.
- Lena (6/5): My comfortable experience of Fujisan - Small friendly athmosphere where you get talking to other visitors. Relatively quiet after 10 pm which was nice for who were getting up early.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Ashley (10/5): Highly Recommend - Very clean, welcoming and comfortable. I would definitely recommend. The owner made amazing fresh baked bread to welcome guests. Had a great night’s sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- mollym363 (10/5): Perfect hostel - We only stayed for one night but the hostel left a great impression. Nice, big showers. Comfy beds. Great location. Delicious homemade bread as well as other foods and drinks for free. Staff were really friendly too. Would definitely stay again if I returned to the area and would recommend to any friends travelling here.
- Ekaterina (8/5): Cozy host - Cozy hostel. Very clean. For breakfast you can find necessary things in the kitchen like bread, jam, eggs, tea, coffe.👌
- Sumoauk (10/5): - Very clean, comfortable and high technology hostel near Mt. Fuji.
- Jade (10/5): Parfait - Super endroit. Nourriture délicieux. Emplacement parfait. Temple à 15 min à pied. Gare routière et ferroviaire à 3 min.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really easy to deal with. Great place to stay. Close to the train station and bus routes
- GailPantin (10/5): Perfect view of Mt Fuji from bedroom window - Home made bread available day and night... boiled eggs coffee, tea etc.. clean comfortable room, well heated.
Close to train station and near good restaurants and sites. Very friendly and comfortable. Host is knowledgeable and very friendly. Little touches like, sewing kit, nail clippers available on display for guests.. I especially like the personal combination locks on each room. The automatic toilet was amusing.. my only complaint wasn’t with the hostel but a few annoying guest.. however once in my room it was quiet and safe.
- noisyjessie (10/5): Amazing Fujisan view in the room - First time in Fujisan. Amazing experience in fuji you. Hotel is just 3min walk from Fuji station, easy to find. Super clean everwhere in hostel. Fujisan veiw in the room , complimentary breakfast even hotel manager makes so fresh bread~smell of baking bread is soooo good
Strongly recommend~~~
- Yong (6/5): - Small room, good service and bus stop beside hotel
- blue0rchid (10/5): Free breakfast - Clean and well kept hostel. Beds were comfortable. This was among the pricier hostels I stayed at in Japan, but breakfast with homemade bread, boiled eggs, cereal, jam etc. was included, wich is very nice.
Hostel is located a 5-10 minute walk from Fujisan station.
They offer overnight luggage storage if you're climbing Fujisan.
- Keithw532 (4/5): Nice but crazy over priced - A crazy over priced basic hostal thats charging hotel prices, it was the only avalible space in town and wow did the owner take advantage of our situation.
As hostels go this is a nice place to stay and we enjoyed the atmosphere and fellow traveller conversatoons, but at the end of the day you are sleeping in a hostal with shared bathing and toilet facilities.
The room was very basic but 100% clean, AC never really worked. Showers had plenty of hot water, and much to our amusement an automatic raising toilet lid.
If you could stay here at a reasonable price its comfortable clean hostal.
- Amy (10/5): Very clean hostel with a very helpful owner - A hostel which is very near to the bus station, with very cozy environment and very clean beddings. The Owner Mr. Yoshi was very helpful during our stay, and help me and my friends a lot on changing of bookings on Mt Fuji during the super typhoon. Yoshi helped us to arrange hotel bookings as well as lugguage transfers to another hotel during our Mountain climbing.
- Shannon (10/5): Great Value! - Great experience from check-in to check-out! Front desk service was courteous and walked me through accommodations upon arrival. Hostel was very clean and located about 4-minute walk from train/bus stations, making it very good location for Fuji hike. Overall, great value for the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent! - This was a nice surprise, not having stayed at a hostel before we didn't know what to expect. We were delighted with our stay, not only because it was a great price, it was a genuinely nice place to stay! Location was also perfect, with a short walk to the train station. We picked this hotel for resting in after climbing Mount Fuji, and we are definitely glad we did!
- 507kewald (10/5): Amazing hostel, good amenities - Visited the place while on a trip to kawaguchi lake. The hostel owner made homemade bread for all of us. Nice lobby area with kotatsu to sit and relax.
Owner is knowledgable and recommended good eating spots at walking distance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hostel with private rooms - Lovely hostel, good location. Very clean and a nice Japanese feel with views of Fuji
- TAB (10/5): Nice hotel close to train/bus station - Nice hotel close to the train/bus (less than 5 minutes). Host was helpful. Stayed with kids. For breakfast host offer fresh made bread and steamed eggs.
- Lazyman4hire (10/5): Excellent Hostel, top notch service - I loved my stay at Hostel Fujisan YOU. They had everything a traveller could need and much more. The amenities were clean and the staff were delightful. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay right next to Mt Fuji and 3 minutes walk from the Fujisan bus/train Station
- yuricrona (10/5): Cute Hostel and Great Hospitality - I arrived late and just informed the reception around 10.30 PM via email (I didn't buy phone plan). Pretty much hopeless since the reception should be closed at 9 PM, and surprised they put sign in door to tell me door code (in english). And they left the room key in reception.
Room is cute and paper crane in each bed to welcome us. Toilet also clean and high tech, it will welcome you with turning on the light and open the lid once you stepped in.
Ojisan in reception is amiable. Also he gave me candy upon check out.
They provide simple breakfast, cereal and milk. But the cereal was surprisingly great! On second day another guest proceed to gulp all content in packaging once she discovered how good it was, and left us with nothing.
- I9454WTalessiam (10/5): The best hostel ever - I saw many hostel during my trip, but this one is the best! It's new, clean, the bed are comfortable and you have your own privacy. The common area is amazing! There is a small kitcken with home made bread, cereals, boiled eggs, jam, butter and tea-coffee avaible all day. The bathrooms have all conforts: shower gel, shampoo, also tooth brush! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The woman also teached me how to make origami, was a unique experience! The position is great, 5 minuts walk from fujisan station...what can i say more...this is the best hostel ever!
- 840victoriak (8/5): Convenient, very clean and friendly hostel - My husband, adult daughter and I checked in today. The place is impeccably clean and the washroom facilities are excellent even by Japanese standards. The manager was very courteous and went out of his way to ensure our comfort.
- michaelcJ9002HE (10/5): Short stay - My partner and I stayed for two nights. The hostel is very clean and well presented. The japanese man and lady at the desk were english speaking and extremely helpful. The only thing with a hostel is you have to share with other guests.....but kindly enough the hostel have ear plugs for you. The showers and toilets are awesome. Lots of room for western sized folk. Close to train station and food. A+
- princessjv (10/5): Hostel with hotel facilities and hospitality - This hostel was great! It provides everything i.e. toothbrush, facial products, toiletries, coffee etc. The staff are friendly. It's very to Fujisan Station. Great place to stay for a weekend retreat!
- hanhduyent (8/5): Nice stay with very modern toilet - The man in reception can speak english; he rarely smile, thus we feel a bit cold.
No restroom in room but the toilet is very modern, all is automatic. The best I experienced in 10 days in Japan.
just 3 minutes walk to Fujisan station and there're very nice sushi restaurant around.
- Q3751ROmartinj (10/5): Spotlessly clean, welcoming staff. A great place to stay. - I stayed at Hostel Fujisan YOU during a brief visit to Fujiyoshida in October 2016. The owner Watanabe San was very helpful and hospitable and I also had the good fortune of being taught how to make origami cranes by him! The hostel itself was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean and is conveniently located in the town centre a short walk from the bus station. If you are planning on climbing Fujisan or visiting Fujiyoshida in general I would highly recommend a stay here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hostel with great atmosphere! - The place is new and everything is in great condition. Communal areas are well designed, homey and comfortable. It appears that everything has been thought of by the staff: from bicycle rental, to cold beers in the fridge. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the thin curtains in the room, which really didn't allow us to sleep properly after 06:30am.
- Inge (10/5): New hostel, very clean and conveniently located! - Brand new hostel, so everything is very clean. Really close to the train station (Incl buses to Mt fuji). Friendly and helpful staff, their English is really good and they give useful tips.
We arrived late, after check - in time, and they did all the efforts to show us how to find our room and codes.
