Selbstversorhung mit BBQ. Alternative Pubfood in der Happy Valley Pub. Internetempfang ist begrenzt, aber das ist halt so auf der Insel. Die Pub mit Kaffee koennte 7:00 anstatt 8:00 oeffnen.

• Odette (4/5): Look it wasn’t bad, but for the price you pay I honestly would have expected more of a ‘retreat’ feeling as the name men - The linen was clean on arrival and it was easily accessible. The fact that the room literally only had beds and one clothes horse. (Miniscule) The outdoor area was dirty and disgusting. The towels were not rotated on our 5 day stay. The rooms were not cleaned. There was no where to hang out towels after a day at the beach, not to mention the shower towels. When we washed up our dishes in the communal kitchen the area reeked of vomit - it was unbearable.
• aGe Ma (6/5): Don't expect the Ritz - It's a good size unit for the family. The customer service is crap. They have backpackers that work for them that don't care and don't know anything. Found this to be a shame since I come to Kgari every year. Did not like the access to the room. You have to lug your stuff up stairs. If your older this sucks and they don't provide assistance. The price is through the roof for what is provided but like they said, your on an island what you gonna do right. The rooms have the basics fridge, no kitchen you have to go up to a communal area. It's not worth what they charge.

• Liana (6/5): Needs a bit of a revamp but still comfortable enough to have a good night sleep - Comfortable beds, nice pillows, clean linen and towels, central to sites to see, great location, nice large hot shower, pool and shop available, restaurant and bar available on site. The room wasn't cleaned properly, fridge had a shelf that had old crusty milk on it. Fans were all dirty, floor was dirty and a bit of mould in the bathroom. No aircon, it's over priced for what you get.
• Hubert (9/5): Bien, mais gaché par le problème de restauration - La localisation centrale sur l’île, le cadre, les bungalows typiques L’accueil un peu léger, l’absence de restauration le jour de notre arrivée… Difficile d’aller manger ailleurs comme on nous l’a proposé quand il fait nuit, que la marée est haute donc qu’il est dangereux de rouler sur la plage et que le premier restaurant est à 20 mn en voiture.

Some of the staff were very curt and unfriendly - we weren’t served like valued customers rather like an annoyance which was disappointing because we were paying high prices.

• Leigh (8/5): A fantastic location for families with friendly and helpful staff as well as clean and comfortable cabins. - Hi there, We had a terrific stay, with comfortable beds & pillows, a clean room and great shower. We were always met with a friendly staff member ready to assist us with any questions or requests! The only thing I can think of that would the improve the quality of our stay next time is some time and attention to the camp kitchen. The cost for families to visit K’gari is substantial & not everyone can afford to eat out for every meal. Catering to those will keep them coming back.

• Anne (5/5): fabulous location - Fabulous location on Fraser Island. Close to walks on the beach, driving on the beach and inland driving to scenic spots and some wonderful lake swimming. The store is well equipped so if you forget anything you can stock up. Fuel can also be purchased there and pay phone in case of emergency. We had a smoke/fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. On the first night it went off at 2 AM and woke us all up, then again at 4 and 5 AM so we did not get a good sleep. We told the management about it but the guy who came didn't know how to fix it. So we had 2 sleepless nights because of a faulty fire alarm going off in the middle of the night on what was supposed to be a relaxing summer vacation. Unfortunate but considering this is a remote place, sometimes things don't work as you would prefer.

Basics in the fridge as well. Very close access to all the main attractions on the island. Aircon units would have been nice, also a microwave in the room itself. Some more coat hooks around would also have been useful. Some of the windows were a bit fiddly to open and close.
