• Robert (8/5): Very good - This is a classic old style French hotel-restaurant, right on the Main Street. The rooms are spare but very clean. The food was excellent: the kitchen punches way above its weight. We were given a room facing away from the street, and the sound of the Truyere river was lovely and soothing. We were cycling through, along the Lot river. They offered a garage for our bikes! All the staff we encountered, especially our server at supper, were friendly, helpful and proud of their regional specialties. Booking.com probably doesn’t deserve them. No real negatives.

• Robin (9/5): Really enjoyable stay - Great location on the edge of the very pleasant and lively town: so a short walk but no town noise. The charming patron was very helpful in switching rooms to make wi-fi available. Comfortable room with great bathroom. Really enjoyed the stay. Better quality wi-fi (see above). As advice, if you want to avoid traffic noise ask for a room at the back.
