Guest Reviews
- Ted (8/5): - All good. Nice area and beautiful view. Very nice.
- Lisa (10/5): - Love the cabin and location of the cabin. Staff are nice and friendly.
Look forward to staying again
- Gilles Jules (10/5): - Comfortable, clean and welcoming!
- Bill (8/5): - Centrally located and reasonably priced
- JULIA (10/5): - Beautiful scenery. The wifi was not very strong.
- Gilles Jules (8/5): - Clean and comfortable
- marian (8/5): very disappointed - we had booked to stay in december 2021, then could not. management very kindly transferred our booking to april 2022
unfortunately the 2 bedroom cabin we were in was very very small.
it was also in a poor state. The walls were very badly stained from previous leaks. the 2 seater couch was so stained and dirty that we chose not to sit for our entire 4 night stay.
carpets in bedroom stained. brand new vinyl in main room very nice. beautiful brand new fridge.
leaking kitchen tap. shower could not be fixed in horizontal position so water ran down wall instead of on the person showering. .cabin needs more work
caravan park very close to lake and Shepperton Art Museum. about 15 minute walk to the supermarket.
- Megan (8/5): - Friendly staff. Well located near the lake.
- Adam (6/5): - First booking was canceled due to a lockdown but the refund took 4 weeks and was not the full amount. This was odd as they cancelled the booking. The management emails re the refund where oddly aggressive to genuine inquiries. Way to many aggressive signs around the place too. The location on the wetlands is lovely however.
- Michael (10/5): Lovely spot on the water - Beautiful location right on the water. So lovely hearing the frogs in the evening. Everything you'd expect from a separate cabin in a caravan park. Worthwhile for a short or extended stay. Easy walking distances to fast food stores, and central Shepparton itself.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, well kept, cozy cabin!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All A ok v cheerful staff. Great spot right beside lake and brilliant new art gallery
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like the fact the park was close to the park, it made for a great walk with nature all around while being so close to the centre of town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Park within walking distance to shops with a
nice outlook over lake Victoria
Room was dirty when we arrived. We had to sweep floor before we could walk around with no shoes inside. All surfaces needed wiping down.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We stayed in a 'DELUXE Cabin'. It was DISGUSTING. The flooring was rotten and dirty and had mould growing on it., The tap in the bathroom was broken. The whole cabin was FILTHY and it smelt awful. The brown couch was so dirty and old it looked like someone had collected it from hard rubbish. The cabin was small and pokey, the bedrooms were so small you gad to walk sideways along the bed and wall to get into bed. I can not describe how bad this cabin was with words. The lady at the desk was rude on the phone. YUCK- the worst accommodation we have ever had in Australia.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful being at the lake and location. Hot water service was poor. For a family of six it barely lasted one person.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Maybe slightly overpriced for comparative stays at holiday parks in other towns.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We thought the surrounding lakes area were beautiful. We stayed in a cabin that was described as luxury, we thought this was overstated a bit. The cabin was comfortable but not luxurious.
They are however clean & the outlook is lovely. The train line runs behind the park & there are a couple of trains that come through, we didn't find this too bad though.
- olivia (6/5): - Cabin#8 need renovation to maintain the cleanliness.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cabin rooms were clean and queen bed was very comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Peaceful, very clean holiday park would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Facility a little tired and some minor things needed repairs- curtains, door lock.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice surrounds, manager was very helpful, handy to town
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful area and great service from park staff. Awesome spot for a family
- Verified traveler (8/5): birdlife - Grandchildren loved staying in the cabin and having the birds come right up to the verandah. Abundant bird life at our doorstep.
- Andrea (8/5): Lovely long weekend stay - Cabin was clean and tidy. The bed was quite uncomfortable, as was the couch. It had everything I need in the cabin for a short stay.
- Brad (10/5): - Awesome stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, friendly staff and had everything we needed. My only minor issue was anyone can just walk in to the park along the lake. This is also a good point as it means you can access the lake easily, so it's something more to be aware of.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was clean and was in a good location. Would stay again.
- Robin (10/5): EXTREMELY WORTH CONSIDERING! - Considering the the cheap price we paid[ $105.00 per night for 4 nights] and what we received i considered the deal an absolute bargain. We had everything we wanted to be self supporting ,and considering the lowest temperature while we were there was 43degreesC the aircon worked fine.
The office staff were friendly and obliging and the park and surrounding areas are a credit to all concerned. Thanks for a great break!
- sue (8/5): - It was hot when we stayed and the air conditioning did not cope well. I was also surpried that there was not a kiosk to purchase bread, milk, cold drinks etc.
- Dash (10/5): - Great location. Comfortable cabin with nice views. Well priced.
- Michelle (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay! Love the walking track that goes around the lake. Will definitely be staying again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - view outside cabin was ok, but we were upgraded from a lower price range which meant we looked at the back of the cabin we eventually stayed in
- Judy (8/5): - Overall, we were very satisfied with our accommodation.
- colin (8/5): Great location - Great location but cabin needs a bit of a refurb. Overall we would stay again.
- Sat (10/5): - We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the overall ambiance.
- Jim (2/5): - Old and tired facilities in such a stunning setting, amenities block not clean at all. Not up to standard at all. We stayed at Discovery Park in Echuca following night which was first class. Up your game Shepparton !!
- WearyTraveler (10/5): Prime location on lake - No glamour. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and quiet. “Spitting distance” from the lake, with a nice walk around. You won’t need to twist my arm to stay here again.
- Clare (10/5): - Lovely view from the cabin the owner came to my car when i parked at the office so i could check out without leaving the car
- Lynette (10/5): - Nice by the lake plenty of birdlife to watcg and own bbq and verandah. Quiet and relaxing, comfortable and roomy . Decor tired but clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem - Location excellent, visually deceptive from the road but once in the park it was a little oasis. Close to awesome playground and swimming pool. Lake and walking track was great.
Train tracks were a bit too close, but apart from that would highly recommend a stay.
- Rob (10/5): - Located by the lake and the Shepparton Fitness Centre and Pool these units are ideally location. With the provided heating they are warm and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
- Gregory (10/5): Got exactly what we paid for - We stayed in a Cabin for work in the area. owners great to deal with and the cabins were nicely looked after. Got exactly what we paid for
- Verified traveler (6/5): good lakeside location - The units while being pet friendly need a really good clean, the couch was digusting and the curtains look like they haven’t been cleaned since the unit was put on site.
There was no spare blankets that we could find as it was a cold night
Positives the manager was lovely and very helpful.
One last thing there is a train line 20 mts from the units and when the goods train comes through it feels like it is in the unit
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice park - Lovely park and people very well kept very well kept
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great weekend in Shepparton. The park is close to town and great walking tracks around the lake.
- Patricia (10/5): Victoria Lake - It was ideal for the night, very comfortable and reasonably quiet. the quietness was only interupted by the noise of the corella's, which stopped at night fall. A lovely walk around the lake. SPC shopping outlet in town which was a bonus
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely spot, lovely people - So close to the centre of Shepparton, it was so convenient but also right on the lake. Picturesque views could be seen over the lake as the sun was setting. Jim the manager couldn’t have been any more helpful or friendly! Thanks for all your help and a great stay.
- JB (8/5): Nice quiet caravan park, centrally located. - Warmly greeted by the manager. Pleased with the cleanliness of the cabin. Only downside was the steps leading from the cabins, bit steep for my elderly mum. Other than that I was happy with our stay and would go back again. Thanks.
