Rien
- Harri (10/5): -
- Danny (8/5): Proprio parle bien anglais personnels sympathiques - Vieux mal sympathique
- Kjetil (10/5): -
- Nick Klaus (8/5): angenehmer Aufenthalt - Sauber, gute Lage, schöne Terrasse. Verständliches Englisch. gute Tipps für das Erkunden der Umgebung. Nähe zum Markt
- Nick Klaus (8/5): Angenehmes Ambiente - Eine saubere u einladende Unterkunft.

- Robert (6/5): Value for money option - A good value for money option (I had a small basic fan room) It is a long walk from the bus station - though I believe the owner will collect you if contacted in advance.
My main objective for using this hostel was to rent a motorbike to visit the nearble temples, but all were in use (I suspect the hostel has only 1 or 2) and there were none available for rent in the town (Nang Rong is not a tourist town). In the end I took a tour from the owner for 1,500 Baht, which worked out fine (The nearby White Rabbit hotel offered a tour for 1,200 Baht). So if your objective is to rent a motorbike, suggest you check in advance that one is available
- Heico Neumeyer (8/5): Decent budget accommodation - I had room 103 - a large room with aircon. (I believe every room is different there.)
I liked about room 103:
-big, with separate living room area, couch + couch-table (almost no daylight there); good value for money
- aircon, Wi-Fi and hot shower work well
- good local info in good English
- little communal garden, but not sure if you could bring outside food there, because they also have a café (I saw few outside customers)
- rather quiet, some remote street noise
- window has mosquito net
- big fridge (not quiet)
- good communal washing machine (30 Baht per wash, outside hanging is possible, but in a dark windless corner)
- daily morning market and weekend evening market nearby My personal quibbles with room 103:
very dark, just one small window (room 103 has two ceiling lights and a bed-light)
little privacy, people walk past the window so I wanted to draw the curtains most times, even though I missed daylight
cabinet small, rather no shelves nor hangers
car parking seems to be on public ground next door, not on private ground, anyway it's in the open and not behind a gate (nothing happened to my car)
1 or 2 mosquitoes in room and communal garden (as anywhere in Thailand)
must move bed to reach hidden near-bed electric socket
- Giacomo (10/5): Amazing stay! - This is a very nice hostel in Nang Rong. The location is great, the hosts are nice people, and they try to help you in any way possible. They are very informative and always smiley. The room was super clean and quiet. The bed was comfy, too. Everything works great, you can tell they really care about maintaining the hostel in the best way possible. Finally, I suggest guests to opt for the breakfast and/or other meals here, because the cook is great and I had some of my best meals here, super delicious! It feels more like a home than a hostel. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nang Rong!
- Taeko (10/5): Great stay. - The room had hot water shower and clean.
The owners speak English and took care of me very well.
- Anne-Lise (9/5): -
- Franciscus Arnoldus Henricus (7/5): Goed, eenvoudig verblijf. - Makkelijke ligging. Kamer moeilijk te koelen met airco.
- Harri (10/5): - Outstanding🤩
Nice and quiet place with lovely staff and delicious food.
- Kittiya (10/5): -
- Naranjo (9/5): Recomendado - Lugar cómodo y muy organizado Nada
- Zhang (10/5): -
- Xiaoyi (6/5): Pleasant - Good vibe of classic hostel. You can take a grab to go there. List or inform guests payment details when paying for food or car services instead of just adding them without notice.
The rooms is built by metal and woods, so sound proof is very poor - you can head everything if anyone moves.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (1/5): Bad - Clean Room.
Clean Towels. The owner is a disgrace, treating people with no respect.
Miserable and totally no customer service at all.
- Raweeploy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (6/5): Worked for us but we’d seek different accommodations if we were to return to area. - Clean. Safe. Kind hosts. This place is dated and rather dark. Very basic amenities.
- Jos (9/5): Great hotel for Nang Rong area. - Very kind and helpful hosts. Breakfast could be arranged earlier than the regular hours.
The room is equipped with a refrigerator.
And there is a garden with seats. The hotel is located at the outside of the town, but restaurants/shops are on walking distance.
AND: a cool Chang beer can be ordered! No remarks.
- Amelie (7/5): Practical spot for motogp - Room a bit small to put both our suitcases but clean and with the amenities needed. It was a bit hard to bring our suitcases up the steep stairs, especially after the long rive from Bangkok.. Hot water shower worked well, the fan did the job for us (we don't like Air con anyway). the bed was comfortable but not the pillow which didn't support my neck well. Location is easy to find, and close to other eateries but food and breakfast are available on site too. The owner is definitely one of the kindest owner we have met and we were able to book a scooter right away to go to Buriram motogp the next morning .
- Leon (9/5): very good - It was a very basic room, but it was spotlessly clean, quite big and the beds where basic but good. Tje owner speaks well English and the price is a real bargain. Good dinner too the amount of light could haven been more
- Jürgen (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect allround service
We recommand a day trip to khmer tempel with the english speaking owner Khun Wicha.
Free transfer from busstation was very welcome, too.
- Prakhanchai (7/5): Good -
- Sitha (10/5): pleasant stay - good accommodation, clean rooms, pleasant surroundings, friendly hosts, very good food! It was very hot when we stayed here, we chose the room with a fan and no air conditioning. Wasn't such a good idea. The room only cooled down a bit late at night.
- Burkhard (8/5): Very good -
- Globetrotter118 (10/5): Best place for foreigners in Nang Rong. - This was such a fantastic place to finish off my 3 months travel around in Thailand. In my opinion this friendly little place is by far the best place for foreigners to stay in Nang Rong. Back in the days, you found these kinds of places to stay everywhere, but unfortunately they are fast disappearing. It's more of a Guesthouse than a hostel, with nice, clean and practical rooms with a fridge, and private bathroom with hot shower. My room was on the first floor with a 'no view' window, but when you open the window, you see they have decorated the wall with red flowers. Don't get put off by what you see from the back side when coming from the bus station. Around the corner is the entrance to a yard full of plants and cozy rustic outdoor sitting areas. The restaurant is open all day and cold drinks are for sale. Not a lot of choices, but what they do have is very good. It's run by a sweet old couple and their daughter. English is spoken. The WiFi is excellent and they are switched on with travellers needs. Informasjon regarding public transport is available, and they do 1,2 or 3 temple tours to Phanom Rung. They even dropped me off at the bus station when I was leaving. At first I thought it was far from ideal to pay a 500 B deposit when my next destination was Cambodia, but this payment actually goes towards your food and drink purchases, so it was no problem at all.
(By the way, the Chong Chom/ Out Smach border crossing to Cambodia is smooth as butter) It was nothing I didn't like.
- Olson (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and helpful.
- Alberto (7/5): Good -
- Christian (9/5): Superb - The room was big, the bed comfortable, breakfast was great. The host was very helpful with excursions to the nearby temples. I booked an upgrade to have a room with a terrace/balcony to enjoy some time reading outside but the room I got was great but did not have a terrace or balcony.
- Daiss (10/5): Exceptional - Nice people, scooters for rent. cold at night
- Oda (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful. Good facilities. Friendly owners. Very good dinners. Nothing.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Christian (9/5): Superb - Perfect accommodation for visiting the surrounding temples. The owners are very friendly and helpful. You can rent a motorbike directly at the accommodation. One of the best curries of my trip!
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- Alistair (9/5): Superb -
- Bertrand (10/5): Good location and very friendly - Owners are really nice! Thanks a lot! None
- Alejandra (9/5): Great for a short touristic stay - Mr. Wicha and all the staff are very helpful and nice. They rented us a scooter to go to Phanom Rung. Room is big and comfy. Great for a short touristic stay to visit the khmer temples. The night market is super near. Thanks for all! Breakfast is a little expensive for what It is, but it's.good. Anyways, there are a lot of places nearby so you can always go eat somewhere else. Our room had all the noice of the neighbor shower so we woke Up very early in the morning when he used the bathroom water.
- Shaked (10/5): Exceptional - Warm and welcoming family! They organized our tour to Phanom Rung, cooked delicious homemade Thai meals, offered laundry service, and even dropped us at the bus station on the day of our departure. Nothing, it was just great!
- Enrique (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely clean & silent.
Young aged owners, very good extra services.
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very clean, confortable bed. Wycha and his wife were very kind and helpful. Try the thai curries, Wycha's wife is an excellent cook.. breakfast pancakes are good value too. Yoy can rent motobike direcly here. Also a nice night market near by.
- Ayan (10/5): Excellent place to stay in Nang Rong, especially if you want to visit Phanom Rung - Breakfast was very good, and very reasonably priced. They also rent motorbike for 200 baht per day which is necessary for visiting the Khmer sites scattered around Nong Rang. Some of these sites are remotely located and they are best visited by private transport. Nang Rong is a small place and everything is within walking distance. The night market and 7-11 is 10-15 minutes walking distance from P.California. Mr Wicha was also very kind and dropped me in his car till Nang Rong bus station for my journey to Khorat. Bugs might get in the room if the door is left open.
- Lihi (8/5): Very good - Very kind and family friendly staff. The place has a relaxing atmosphere. They make tasty original thai food. I've been there for 4 days. When I was about to leave the owner offered to take me to my buss station since it was a hot day 😍
- Ayan (10/5): Best place to stay in Nang Rong - Beautiful green property suitable for a budget stay. The senior couple who run the place are most helpful with information and kind hosts. They rent out bikes and everything in town is within walking distance. They have useful maps of Nang Rong and how to reach sites like Phanom Rung and Mueang Tam. The breakfast is also very good. Overall a top recommendation for staying at Nang Rong. A few bugs might get in the room if the door is kept open, otherwise everything is perfect.
- Aliaksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petr (9/5): Superb - Friendlines Nothing
- Roger (9/5): Good value quiet place in centre of town - Quietest place I have stayed in this trip to Asia.
I was room 103 on opposite side of the road, it may be noisier on the road side.
Simple, clean and comfortable room with good aircon and bathroom.
The owner and his wife were very helpful and the meals that could be purchased were very nice.
Centrally located so walkable to the temples, bus stop and main street.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Pietro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timothy (9/5): Great hosts, great vegetarian meals, lovely stay. Recommended. - Excellent informative and knowledgeable hosts. Despite the cook being off sick, excellent vegetarian meals were provided with 3 different options. The host was a historian who gave us a lot of information about the historical sites which helped us plan our itinerary. Helpful to have a guest’s fridge but the hosts allowed us to use theirs.
- Silvia (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): A great budget option, friendly staff, clean and comfortable - Nice quiet place that was clean and comfortable Lack of scooters in the entire town. I was lucky and got the last one. Others had to go with a private vehicle + guide. Budget according
- Bigué (9/5): Superb -
- Abraham (10/5): Knowledgeable and helpful host makes this the perfect place for visiting the Khmer ruins. - Wicha was a very helpful and friendly host, giving a lot of information and history of the area. Room was clean and breakfast option very convenient. Scooter rental from the accommodation very easy as well. Perfect for a day trip to Phanom Rung and Muang Tam. Night Market and Walking Street at shirt distance from the accommodation.
- Mark (10/5): Local knowledge and comfortable stay at a great location in Nang Rong - The owners were very welcoming and helpful and they rented us a motorbike so we could visit several temples nearby and it was easy riding. The room was really great, nice and big, clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was enjoyed in the relaxing garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nothing
- Maria (10/5): Love this Place - We spent the most wonderful time in this hostel, we really loved it.
Mr Wicha and his family made our stay special.
The hostel is lovely, super clean, you have the chance to take the trip to Phanom Rung organized by them and It was the most wonderful trip for us.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Owners were really helpful, provided an excellent tour and delicious dinners.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place with extremely helpful hosts, particularly for those travelling alone as they have options for visiting the nearby sites of interest which makes planning a lot easier.
Also not a long walk from the night and weekend markets with a great selection of food.... Although I still have no idea what I was eating!!!
- Iremalm (6/5): Pleasant - Good service, possibility to rent motoriken. Simple rooms
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean, spacious room with a small lounge and kitchen area. The room for once actually looked as it does on the website. Nice quiet location by the river. Mr Micha, the owner, does tours to the local temples with an extensive knowledge of the area. No complaints.
- Constance (9/5): Superb -
- Pedro (9/5): we’ll be back - the owners were amazing!!!
we had an amazing experience and if what you looking for is a safe, clean and great price look no further. nothing to say
- Martin (8/5): Nice little hotel in a good location - Stayed here twice now when going to the festival at Khao Phanom Rung. Its got a good location, not far from the main road. The staff are always lovely. Rooms are a decent size, have plenty of sockets and parking just outside. Breakfast is basic but really nice (fruit, toast, and eggs any way you want them) and the dining area is really pleasant, looking across the pond behind the hotel. Beds were a little hard - but that's often the case in Thailand, so you kind of expect it. Would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities available - not just at breakfast time.
- Suvicha (8/5): Very good -
- Christiane (9/5): Highly recommended - Very warm welcome at the guesthouse which is located in walking distance to town center, restaurants and night market. We got free transfer by the owner to the bus station.
We had a nice, big room with a very comfy bed. Everything was impeccably clean.
The breakfast was served in a garden pavilion and was very tasty. We very much appreciated the fantastic, fresh bread.
The tour together with the owner to the Khmer historical sites was fantastic and we totally recommend it! —-
- Judith (6/5): A friendly, clean, simple place with good customer service. - The description as a hostel was accurate and we thought that we got good value for the price. We had daily cleaning of our room and the property was well kept with pleasant areas for sitting. Our hosts, Witcha and Pom, were most hospitable, giving this place extra value. We appreciated the wealth of information that Witcha shared about the area and its history. In our room the shower was very good but the arrangement of the toilet was very awkward. We would have preferred having a Thai option for breakfast.
- Moira (10/5): Brilliant place to stay - Great place to stay.
The room was excellent. Comfortable bed, bedside tables, small table and chairs, fridge, quality fixtures and fitting. Aircon and fan. Lovely hot shower. Outside communal areas to have breakfast or just sit and meet other guests.
There are a selection of breakfasts in the morning at a good price.
But the main jewel in the crown is the owners. Wicha and Pom. He does the tour of the local Khmer historical sites. He is very knowledgeable and makes the tour so informative and enjoyable. Don't leave without doing the tour.
There are also bikes to rent.
Advice is given for local restaurants and onward travel can be arranged.
Loved my time spent here. Nothing at all.
- Helene (7/5): good - room expensive for what you get but fridge big room with a salon and handy for the night market nearby 10mn walk
could do the excursion by car with the owner to the 3 temples half a day 600 bath per pax
he takes you free to the bus station on your departure, he has 2 bicycles and a scooter to rent
very nice and his wife also , for 60 bath took us to the lankrez massage at 3 km
- Elainecarr (8/5): Very good - The room facilities were pretty basic but the room was very clean and had everything we needed.
The hosts were friendly and helpful. We booked a tour to see the two temples, 900 baht for two people. They were definitely worth seeing.
Breakfast is available at the property for 100 baht per person. It is simple but good quality. Location was a bit out of town.
We had hoped to rent a scooter but apparently there were none available when we were there so had to go with the lift from the owner, which was significantly more expensive than renting a scooter.
- Giulia (9/5): Clean hotel, with very helpful staff - The owners speak English and were extremely helpful in suggesting us activities in the area and they booked for us our next bus. They also dropped us with the car at the bus station.
They have scooters to rent, which is needed to discover the area.
The room was cleaned every day deeply.
There is a garden where you can chill in the evening and have breakfast in the morning Having a mosquito net at the window would be helpful.
- Ray (7/5): OK for a short break - Large room, cheap. Dated decor. Needless step in room.
- Joanna (9/5): Good value, friendly place. - Comfortable good sized room with sofa, fridge & kettle. Very good breakfast at good price. The owner speaks excellent English. We were able to park a car in a safe location, but this should be booked in advance. Definitely recommended in the area.
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Hendrik (10/5): The place to stay in Nang Rong - Very friendly and helpful management.
Hostel can arrange tours to Khmer tempels at affordable prices.
In the weekend is a night market nearby with eat stalls.
Pleasant atmosphere.
Easy to get to know other travellers. We could not see Qatar world championship. We missed seeing the Netherlands winning from the USA.
- Stefanie (9/5): Superb - The best part of the hostel, is the host! He is so knowledgeable. We did the tour to the temples nearby and he is a great guide. Also the breakfast was very nice!
- M. (7/5): Good - - Motorbike rental is available
- free dropoff to the bus station
- owners always available and well organised - bathroom smelled a bit of sewage
- no good sound isolation makes you hear the road traffic
- Gheorghe (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is a very nice and kind person,a very clean place...they change everything every day,towels..etc. The breakfast was amazing and cheap. Thank you P. California
- Birotteau (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Very helpful and kind owners. Clean room. Bicycle for rent.
- Ian (7/5): There wasn't anywhere else available because of the Moto GP in Buriram - Spacious room Breakfast was mediocre for 150 baht
