• Gabriele (10/5): Besser als erwartet - Lage direkt am Strand, wunderschöner privater Pool, vier bequeme Liegen, große Zimmer, zwei Bäder, Küche mit großem Kühlschrank und Eisfach, (fast) alles Nötige zum Kochen vorhanden, Wohnzimmer mit bequemer Couch, ausreichend Handtücher, Restaurants und Läden in kurzer Zeit fußläufig erreichbar, nah zu Flughafen und Fähranleger Meer nicht wirklich sauber (wegen Hafen in der Nähe), Türen zu den Bädern sehr niedrig, Menschen über 1,75 m - Achtung! Kopf einziehen!

• Augustin (6/5): Assez bien mais services à revoir - L’appartement est assez complet en terme d’ustensiles de cuisine, de mobilier etc. Il est assez ce tral pour visiter l’île. La vue sur la plage est vraiment sympa ! Il y a des serviettes de bain pour la plage ce qui est un plus. -Propreté correcte mais pas suffisante : des poils étaient dans la salle de bain par terre à notre arrivée - L’appartement est sans charme avec du mobilier qui commence à vieillir. -Leur portion de plage privée n’est pas entretenue, il y a des déchets (mégots et capsules de bière dans le sable) et les transats sont pour la plupart cassés. - Ne faites pas appel à leur service de "taxi" : un gros malentendu s'est produit entre nous et les propriétaires qui ne parlent soit pas anglais soit très mal. Ma compagne et moi-même avions demandé la veille de notre départ du logement, un moyen pour nous rendre au port prendre notre bateau. La propriétaire nous dit rapidement que son mari pourra nous amener le lendemain. Nous demandons le prix. Sa réponse n’est pas claire et dans la même phrase évoque 200 et 400 bahts. Nous demandons donc " 200 for 2 ?" La propriétaire nous dit " yes yes ". Le lendemain son mari qui ne parle pas un mot d’anglais nous fait comprendre à la fin de la course qu'on lui doit 400 et non 200 comme nous venons de lui donner. Nous sommes énervés car nous avions bien posés la question la veille pour être sûrs. Nous lui avons ensuite envoyé un message. Cette femme est extrêmement culottée puisqu'elle a osé nous dire que nous avions mal compris les échanges de la veille alors que tout était clair de notre côté. 1) 400 bahts pour un trajet d’une dizaine de minutes à peine c’est du VOL. C'est quasiment les mêmes prix que dans notre pays... 2)Il aurait été décent après plus de 5 nuits passées dans l’appartement de nous proposer un prix plus intéressant que de nous arnaquer de cette manière. 3) Certes l’île est chère mais là nous avons littéralement payé plus cher le trajet en voiture que le prix du bateau pour changer d’île c'est de la folie... Mais bon....business is business....

• Adrie (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf bij Bann Kanchana Beachfront Villas – een verborgen parel op Koh Samui! - We hebben een onvergetelijk verblijf gehad bij Bann Kanchana Beachfront Villas. De locatie is simpelweg perfect – direct aan het strand, met een prachtig uitzicht over zee en schitterende zonsondergangen elke avond. Het voelde echt als een privéparadijs. De villa was ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. De inrichting was stijlvol en comfortabel, en het terras met uitzicht op het water was een geweldige plek om te ontspannen. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd – van het frisse beddengoed tot de kleine details die het verblijf extra aangenaam maakten. Wat dit verblijf echt bijzonder maakte, was de warme gastvrijheid van het personeel. Ze waren vriendelijk, behulpzaam en altijd beschikbaar voor tips over restaurants, bezienswaardigheden en vervoer. Ze zorgden ervoor dat we ons meteen thuis voelden. De locatie is rustig, maar toch dichtbij genoeg om gemakkelijk naar levendigere delen van het eiland te reizen als je dat wilt. Het strand voor de deur is schoon en rustig – ideaal om te zwemmen, wandelen of gewoon te genieten van de rust. Kortom: Bann Kanchana Beachfront Villas is een absolute aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar luxe, rust en een authentieke Thaise strandervaring. Wij komen zeker terug!

Good places for having dinner, renting scooters and going out in the evening around the area (fisherman's Village). The bed's were clean and comfortable and it's quite a big room for a one room apartment with a kitchen and a table. All in all a really good place to stay for a few days. The apartment in general could have been cleaned more before our arrivel especially the bathroom. I just showered it off by myself to get rid of everything then it was ok

Beach 30 seconds away, nearby 7/11, scooter rental, Bangrak Cafe over the road was amazing - highly recommend. Kitchen area and bathroom needed a good clean. Beach was a little dirty, not nice to swim in as boats nearby, and noisy at night.

• James (9/5): Great secluded propert - Great location with sea view and direct access to beach. Small kitchen area with microwave, cooker top etc. Indoor and outdoor seating area. Groundfloor room 2 was best of 3. Lek and Philip were always available on site. Had safe access problems but this was easily dealt with. Plenty free water. Stayed an extra night. Locates on beach road and handy for bars, restaurants, food and fish markets. Baht bus runs outside. Outdoor hose to clean sand off after beach visit. Lack of housekeeping but this was explained on arrival. Take own rubbish outside. However clean towels available all the time. Roofing work on the new build next door sometimes started early and noisy.
• Somiran (9/5): Superb - So it's great for longterm stay and couples if you like to make your own food. It has Netflix as well for relaxing movie nights. All in all it feels just like home. Location is good for sunset points. Location is okay. Beach nearby but isn't very big or maybe it just seemed like that as it was stormy during my stay. It's a bit far from main beaches like chaweng or lipa noi but you can get there easily enough if you rent motorbike. Owner rents motorbike as well at fair price but you could find cheaper options if you walked around a bit from there.
