- Robert (7/5): - I am a regular User of KiWI and have been for 8 years. I am accustomed to the Area and the Hotel including the Sister Hotel Mabolo Royal. Whenever I'm in Cebu I book one or the other with no problems . Kiwi could do with monitoring the Water Dispenser. Its over use means a early morning cup of Tea or Coffee is bit if await for the container to be replaced. Other than that keep a litre of water in your room for such an occasion.

Breakfast was in the bar area, with a defunct pool table and dartboard standing in the corner. One item for breakfast was omelette with bread and butter, but "no butter sir". Rooms and location are OK for the price

- ybo7000 (8/5): Kiwi hotel - The hotel has a good location. Very accessible by public transport. It is located just across persimmon. Walking distance to sm cebu and ayala center cebu. The hotel has no elevator, but has big hallways. rooms are big n spacious, clean n with windows n views. Free wifi, free drinking water n toiletries. It has a water dispenser in every floors. Room has TV, small refrigerator (don't know if it's working, didn't use). Nice comfortable bed. Clean air n ambience. Free breakfast. But they are kinda understaffed, they don't clean the room everyday.

The location is close to Mr & Mrs food station and is highly recommended fir your meals. Location and ease of getting around the various malls in Cebu .

CR very clean but needs new seat for the toilet. Yellowing white and sparkling white don't match. Power outlet not attached to the wall properly is not very safe especially with children. Broken head board strut needs replacing not taped together with ugly packaging tape

Given it's fairly cheap can't complain - they were happy for me to arrive at 1am. Not much locally but not far from Ayala Mall. One surprise - Ayala Mall does not open until 10am!

It's not perfect but it's good enough. It's close to the malls and restaurants. Will definitely go back there next time.

Wifi was really fast and strong in our room because of their dedicated modem in every room. Aircon was really cold and most of all location is very good and close to everything.

- natalie4884 (2/5): Disgusting place!!! - It was a mistake to book here. This place is filthy and disgusting. The whole place is neglected and dirty. The room we had was quite frankly disgusting with the bathroom looking like a public washroom in the nastiest of a kind. There were stains on bedsheets and no fridge in the room!! In this climate - mind-blowing! I hope pictures speak for itself. Breakfast was served in a neglected bar with staff that was less tha attentive - once they brought you your plate, they all gone back to chill and watch YouTube videos on their phones. The table was covered with tiny ants and I had one in my ice tea!! So if you value a stay in a basic but clean and decent establishment, avoid this place at all cost!! It is a mistake to call this place a hotel as I have seen hostels that are much cleaner than this. Should have made a good reaserch before booking and I hope this info will help you, fellow travelers!!

Situated in quite a built up and busy area which is quite noisy during the day but peaceful at night. The hotel was undergoing some renovation work when we were there which added to the noise and also meant everywhere was quite dusty. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. My big issue was the cleanliness of the two rooms we stayed in. Whilst appearing to be clean and well presented the bathrooms were in a shabby and unclean state. Fixtures and fitting were poorly maintained and seem to be repaired in a very slapdash way. The biggest problem was mould in both bathrooms we used. It seems the cleaners do not clean above head height with lots of dust on window sills and the shower unit. Both showers were very old and poorly maintained with one of the shower holders loose from the wall. This was repaired by banging a nail into it! Mould was everywhere, in the tile grouting, around the sink unit, shower floor and the main floor. This looked very bad and is a health hazard. This could be easily rectified using the correct cleaning products. Whilst we did not get any infection it didn’t mean that others wouldn’t. Even though I asked for the bathrooms to be ‘deep cleaned’ they weren’t. However, the overall cleanliness of the venue was very good. The restaurant/bar, general seating area and the indoor receptions rooms were spotless. Amenities are very good and, as mentioned, staff very helpful. Wi-Fi was excellent also. Free breakfast but very limited choice. There is a fine to be paid if you bring in your own alcohol however, we kept ours in our room. My biggest issue, which the hotel has no control of, was what happens outside in and around the smoking area and outside the front of the building. Builders and locals constantly spitting on the floor, blowing noses onto the floor without a care for residents sitting outside. Because I smoke, I was often outside at night and enjoyed buying items from the many local ‘house shops’ where stuff is very cheap. A bottle of rum is around £1 as is a packet of cigarettes. There are lots of street food stalls, which I wouldn’t advise westerners eating from as hygiene is a big issue. It seemed safe to walk around the vicinity at night but there was an undercurrent feeling of potential danger as lots of the locals seemed to be very drunk every night. My biggest concern was the amount of very young children that approached me, almost nightly, in the early hours of the morning offering themselves for money. I found this very distasteful and horrifying. It seemed there were a couple of residents’, older westerners, that were availing themselves of this opportunity but not, I have to stress, in using the hotel. I did raise this issue with the security guard who is based there 24/7 and he assured me that if reported he would take action. Overall, a good venue that needs some small improvement and one that will look after you.

- 861steffil (10/5): Good staycation - Had a brief staycation at kiwi hotel and had a very good time. Very near two big malls for easy walking and shopping. Rooms are big and good, beds are comfortable too. Staff are very friendly and wifi is good too. Keep it up kiwi.
- dedetteski (10/5): Near sm and ayala malls in cebu - Found this hotel also on my tripadvisor app and got a very good budget priced hotel and got more than what i paid for. Cozy outdoor garden, great accomadating staff and very good wifi. Also the billiard table and the ice cold beer at the bar which i can mingle with my friends from cebu. Recommended!
- georgieg90 (10/5): Unique hotel ambience - This hotel is uniquely different from other budget hotels as it has an open to below garden that has a through and through circulating fresh cool wind with a skylight, nice to sit in the sofa and read my emails as surfing the net. The wifi is very strong and stable too. Staffs were very nice and rooms and beds are very comfortable. Free breakfast is good too. Will come back for sure on my next trip.

Staff was really nice and free breakfast was good. There is a billiard table with ice cold beer at the restaurant. Will recommend this hotel.

- MelAlejandro (10/5): Homey hotel - This hotel has a homey feel. It has an open to below airy outdoor garden which you can have coffee or tea. Wifi is great as it is very fast and stable. Beds are very comfy and free breakfast was yummy.

Friendly helpful staff nice bar breakfast included in the price everything works from a.c. to wifi. Comfortable rooms with TV's with English channels. This is and always will be my go-too when I come to Cebu 10/10
