Kermit (10/5): - This is a truly unique destination - calm, beautifu, quiet. The staff were enormously friendly and helpful. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous! Our room had excellent views of the water and the sunrise/sunset. The campfire pit is beautiful and easy to manage, the nightly s'mores are a wonderful touch! Breakfast was sumptuous and of outstanding quality. Perfect for a romantic getaway (such as ours) or for families with children (as for other guests). The nearby beaches were wonderful. The bikes, beach chairs/towels, and corn hole game were all welcome additions!
Verified traveler (8/5): - This inn is in a terrific location but fell a little short with the amenities offered. The literature mentioned things such as a fire pit at night and drinks/small bites at the historic tavern. The fire pit did not happen the night we were there and the tavern was closed for some reason. There are not many other options close by so to have the tavern closed was unfortunate. We had a room in the adjoining barn that was very spacious and well maintained. However, there was definitely an odor that indicated moistness on the first floor and some of the hallway areas.
Mary (10/5): A Fabulous Adventure - A beautiful piece of history! The house is lovely and unique! We stayed in the Lantern Room which had access to the cupola via a spiral staircase in the room! The view from there is spectacular! We ordered a charcuterie board for a light dinner and ate it in the cupola while enjoying the scenery. You can bike (free to use), walk along the shore, swim, enjoy meals out, read, play games and so much more! Delicious breakfast is provided each morning while warm cookies and lemonade are served each afternoon! You can relax or be as busy as you want to be!! We loved our 3 day visit!!

Christine (8/5): - It was ok. The private beach you have access to isn't a beach you would want to swim at. The steam shower control panel was broken and unreadable but we figured out how to use it. The couch had some weird stains on it. You could see dust and other debris under the bed. Old music system that was unusable because it was for first generation iPods only. For the price of the stay it would be nice to have more than a continental breakfast. The soaking tub was very nice and the property itself was beautiful. It's just overall not as nice as it looks online.

The included breakfast is a self-service continental affair, but consists of extremely fresh croissants and pastries, juices, fruit, cereals, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs, toast and coffee/tea. On the downside, there is no on-site restaurant and you are on your own for lunches and dinners.

In the morning they serve a light breakfast which consists of bagels, toast, croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, milk, coffee and tea. If we were to go back we certainly would stay there

Only comment is that the included breakfast was a bit limited especially since there really aren’t many restaurants nearby. Would be great if they had a restaurant at the hotel even if it was open to guests only to maintain the peace and quiet.

Lindsey (2/5): - We recently stayed at the Stone House Inn and were disappointed by how misleading the room listing was. The inn is advertised as a historic property with charm and character, which is what drew us to book in the first place. However, when we arrived, we were placed in a separate concrete building that was not part of the historic inn at all. We were aware that each room is unique with charm and character, however this room was a concrete bunker with no charm or character to be found. Nowhere in the reservation process or on the website were we informed that our room would be outside of the main building. If this had been made clear, we would have made a different choice. The setting was peaceful and the grounds are beautiful, but the misleading presentation of the accommodations left us feeling misled and disappointed. I would strongly encourage the management to update the website and booking descriptions to more accurately reflect the differences between the historic inn and the Warren suite, located in a concrete bunker adjacent to the beautiful inn.

The property is stunning—both the historic building and its serene surroundings left us in awe. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including complimentary bikes and direct beach access.

Kenneth (4/5): - Unfortunately our stay at this very beautiful location was ruined by the 82 degree room that you could not cool down. We were told to open the doors to the balcony to let cool air in, but the screen window was missing and hornets were entering. We left in the middle of the night unable to tolerate the heat. From the website I thought it was a beachfront location but this is not the case. The tub was a square, uncomfortable box, not like the beautiful tub shown in the website photo. The staff was very friendly. You just need to understand what you are getting into if you stay here. For us it was unfortunately a ruined Mother’s Day getaway.

Kristin (10/5): Gorgeous, relaxing retreat - We wanted to be on the beach in a quiet town and that’s what we got. We loved our room in Heron. We had a huge bath tub, lots of space, a lovely porch and lots of windows towards the water. The only bummer was the fireplace didn’t work. We really wanted to use that. And we could hear people walking around upstairs above us. The natural light in the bathroom was really nice. The sunset was beautiful when the weather cooperated. The walk to the beach is nice and easy. We saw lots of shore birds and ducks. The restaurant was nice, quaint, the food was good, as long as you’re okay waiting a bit for your drinks. I loved the campfire with everything you need for s'mores. Breakfast was healthy and thorough with lots of fresh fruit and tables overlooking the water to eat at. I wish I got to explore and see all the rooms because they seem unique.

There are a lot of amenities on the property but you don’t learn about them at check in. Read the book left in the room to learn about all that’s on-prem.

Internet was very spotty in that area and we kept losing connections while driving to the property and going out for the evening. Continental breakfast was served, but we did not partake. Overall a nice place, but definitely not worth the price that we paid.

David (10/5): - Idyllic is the word we use to describe this stay. The entire area is beautiful and the hotel and staff are great. We stayed in a room in the ‘barn’ which was entirely huge and enormous. The walk to the beaches is easy and worthwhile. The only possible con to recognize is the distance to sites like Newport, Westport, or even most restaurants since the hotel has a limited summer menu. However that distance also provides many benefits. We say this hotel is highly recommended.
Nicole (8/5): - Peaceful and quiet and slow and romantic. Would definitely stay again. We had a few hiccups. My biggest regret was not bringing our own beach chairs. At the price we paid my thought was that there would be no way that we wouldn’t have access to them, however they ran out and the two left were broken. Highly recommend they go to Costco and stock up on the 2/80 Tommy Bahama deal asap. Enjoyed the fire each night, smores. Looking forward to going in winter and hiding in a room with the huge soaking tub, glass of wine, fireplace.

Marie (10/5): Quiet Romance - The Stone House Inn is a quaint inn with beauty and history, service and scenery. We went for a couple of days and couldn’t say enough about our stay. We stayed in the main house and our room overlooked the pond. The suite was large and the attendants were incredible. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The area is quiet- little cell service and just perfect for escaping life for a little while. We will absolutely be back.

It is very luxurious with huge bathroom. The breakfast options are limited, but they are freshly made. It is the view from the balcony which is worth paying the big bucks. It does not feel like staying at a hotel, feels more like staying at a cozy, fancy home, perfectly connected with nature. They also had continental breakfast, which I was not expecting. It was just perfect, because they have freshly made pastries, coffee, fruits. Then you can go and drink your coffee on the dinning room, or a cozy studio right next door which is open for everybody or outdoors. It was great. Highly recommend to pick this destination. James (10/5): - A very beautiful and quiet location. The inn is very cute with some fun history. It even has an old speakeasy in the basement. Be sure to take a bicycle ride to the ocean and take a drive into Four Corners Tiverton. There's also a Vinyard up the street, a greenhouse, and plenty of coffee shops if that's your thing. About a 45 minute drive into Newport but there should be enough local activities to keep you busy durring your stay.

Stephanie (2/5): Not at all what I expected - The marketing of this property is wonderful which is why I didn't mind paying $682.52 for one night. What I did not expect was that we spent the night in a renovated barn and could not see the beach from our two very small windows. The setting was quaint and very secluded. I walked down to the end of the property looking for the beach which I never found. The room was OK (though without a microwave which is an essential for my husband). The sectional did not have any coffee nor end tables which made it difficult to set down a drink. We could not watch the television from the bed as there was a column in the way. We were charged a $25 resort fee to cover water and coffee (which is always included in our stays elsewhere). We have traveled extensively and expected great things for the price tag..... one staying in the stone house and the other, a view of the beach (not a pond).

William (8/5): nice stay but disappointed in AC - Beautiful property with close proximity to the ocean for wonderful morning walks. Service staff was great. Our only issue (which is a big one), was that the central geothermal AC wasn't working and it wasn't very cool in our room. I just wish they would have disclosed that on their website when booking the room. They touted major renovations a couple of years ago and mentioned the new geothermal AC replacement. They didn't disclose that the AC hasn't been working properly since they installed it.
Susan (6/5): - Geo-thermal means a very hot rooo! 84 degrees. Restaurant very limited menu! Staff wonderful!
Ravee (8/5): - We were here for a short stay. Rooms are modern and large. I would say somewhat over priced having stayed at many other a luxury boutique hotels. Area is serene. Especially the walk down to a hidden gem beach and seeing the swans on the way. Staff were friendly and recommended a good restaurant.
Mary (8/5): - Stone House is a beautiful property with comfortable rooms and gorgeous seaside surroundings. We love the non-commercial feel of Little Compton and easy walk to the beach. The only slight complaint I would have is that for the high priceof the Inn, the wifi service was terrible, there was no streaming services on the TV and they didn't include a free glass of wine with the afternoon horderves.
Lesley (10/5): - The Stone House was an amazing surprise!! Beautiful property in and out and so easy- easy to check in, eat, hang out, use the amenities. There are more activities that we didn’t use. I wish they could build a pool but alas it’s not allowed. Such a sweet, nice little spot in the sleepy town of Little Compton!

ramona (10/5): - This place is magical. Totally relaxing surroundings. We took a bike ride to the beach and walked along. There are swans in the large pond next to the hotel and bunnies everywhere in the morning. The nearby town is untouched from when I last visited 30 years ago. There is a great new coffee place in four corners about 15 minutes away. S’mores by the fire at night were fun. Rooms were very comfortable and updated

Craig (10/5): Savor the serenity - Nice property in a comfortable secluded environment. A great B-Day weekend for my wife. The weather wasn't particularly good, but we still found plenty to do. We look forward to returning.
James (2/5): - We did not stay at this property because the room we were given was not described properly on website including no mention of staying in a barn which smelled of mildew and not part of the main stone house. The front desk offered to give us a full refund which we accepted!
