- zlusha (2/5): Stay at Hyatt House instead - Needed improvement: Yoga mats in gym, front staff knowledge on elevators to cross train tracks, accessible composting/recycling at the hotel, clean tables at breakfast, sewing kits at front desk without needing to replenish, paper maps at front desk, ability to use pool or gym facilities at nearby Hyatt House, alacrity granting late checkout so one did not have to request multiple times and wait for answer and effectiveness in addressing noise complaints in middle of night. My husband has the Hyatt credit card. We are both members. He was not traveling with me this time but we are very local Hyatt members and I asked for late checkout (typical 2pm) upon check-in. I was told 1pm and then called the next day and begrudgingly got 1:30pm after it was “extended” to 1pm. Maybe you should have ability to link rewards officially for families? Front desk did not know if Emeryville composts. Said that if composting was in trash, it would be sorted by staff, which seemed highly sus. Clearly marked recycling, composting containers in common areas and rooms and actual recycling and composting would be helpful. Breakfast ran out of reusable cups so people used more disposable ones.

- Kathy (10/5): Can't beat the Amtrak convenience - You can't beat it for convenience if you're traveling by Amtrak--it's across a pedestrian bridge (with elevator) from the station. I wish I'd had time to go to a grocery--nice kitchenette in the rooms. all good!

They were helpful in letting me store my cooler behind the front counter until the end of the day. In general, staff were all really friendly and helpful. - Voyage703320 (10/5): Amazing experience! - This hotel far exceeded my expectation. From check in with Bobby and Laura, the staff is so polite, friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself and the rooms are very well taken care of. The bedding and towels are so clean they seemed brand new. The daily breakfast is a great bonus. And the area, is awesome. One street over is an outdoor shopping plaza with great stores and many choices for restaurants. Made it easy to spend the day out and walk right back to the room to relax. In addition, the view is amazing! I will absolutely return to this hotel. I wish I had taken pictures to share. Great property for a great price! Thank you!

- Mary (9/5): Good location and clean rooms. - delicious, well-stocked breakfast bar. It would be helpful to have directions on how to adjust the thermostat in hotel room. The thermostat is programmed for air conditioning between a certain temperature range. However, at night, we wanted to increase the temperature because the room was cold. It took a while to figure out how to turn on the heat.

They still were dancing around the questions. They offered us points and a free night stay, but only points were applied. No free night stay. When I contacted the manager, they just said apply the points. They would not answer the question about the free night stay..

I stayed on a weekend so there was no construction noise and the BART trains we're not functioning at the time so I could not tell you about noise from that It's going to be a great spot when it's built though.

- tonyambronx (10/5): Great Stay!! - I recently traveled to California to visit my brother and celebrate with family, and I stayed at the Hyatt Place in Emeryville. The experience was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive, which really made us feel welcome. I especially want to recognize the front end manager Bobby. He was extremely professional and always greeted us with a smile . His positive attitude truly stood out and set the tone for our stay. Breakfast was delicious with great food choices, and I loved that there were different options each day. Hotel is also in fantastic location. I will definitely be back and will always choose this hotel when staying in the area. Highly recommend!

Heating system was broken and engineer was unavailable all night. They gave us 2 extra blankets. Family was very cold. And early am we had some very cold kids. Very uncomfortable stay.

- Attila (8/5): Ill be back - Great location, great staff, great hotel. Overall everything was great. I have stayed here multiple times for work. However this time the room I was assigned was either not prepped or more than likely someone was assigned te room and decided to move rooms because when I got in my room at 10pm it had a cup pof coffe that was cold on the counter and the bed looked like someone had layed in it. The front desk young lady was nice and immediately reassigned me but it was a bite weird. I will for sure return as my regulat spot to stay when on work trips in the area.
