Guest Reviews
- Dora (10/5): - Very nice experience. Breakfast was farm to table!! Also, got to see the milking of the cows.
Thank you for your hospitality!!
- Natasha (10/5): - Very clean place and courteous staff. If you like animals, you would love staying here!
- Tana (10/5): - This property was a working farm and we stayed 4 nights in a house over 100 years old. We had a large room on the 2nd floor and shared a bathroom with the other guests. We were welcomed by the owner and shown around the house where we could use the living room, kitchen and dining room. It was comfortable and welcoming. The folks working the farm were friendly and it was a delight to see the ducks, cows, goats, chickens and working dogs! A local chef came in the mornings to cook breakfast (duck eggs!) - delicious. It was lovely talking to the Kathy, the owner, and Eric, the chef, about the farm and area. If we hadn't been on a defined schedule of sightseeing it would have been a calm to rest in the yard and listen to the sounds of the farm.
- Russell (10/5): - Had a wonderful time on the farm.
Friendly folks, clean, quiet and very unique!
- Raphaela (10/5): - I had a lovely overnight stay. The owner and farm volunteers made me feel right at home.
This experience was memorable. If you've ever wondered what life on a farm might be like, this amazing property will enlighten you.
Make sure to visit their farm store, the cheese and other products are delicious!
- Robert (10/5): 4th of July - This place is not for everyone. It is someone's personal that is located on a working farm. Ms. Fields is extremely friendly as well as very accommodating, like everyone else, however; she demands respect. Yes, you asked to take your shoes off when entering the house. The house is a restored 1850s farmhouse, the floors are oak. Need I say more? Besides, does it not feel like you are more at home when you take your shoes off? I brought my house slippers along and I was quite comfortable. Yes, she asks that you do not touch certain things within the house, these are the personal things that she likes to show/display. They are intriguing and nice to look at, and if everybody touches them that stays there, they would not remain in good condition. Yes, she should put them away and yes kids will be kids. Bottom line, it is HER house, her business, she can run it as she chooses and there are other places to stay. Parents need to be parents and teach your children how to respect the personal property of others. Ms. Fields likes to greet you when you arrive and learn the nature of your stay. I just wanted to be left alone, enjoy the peace and quiet, enjoy my stamp collection, and conduct the business that I went out there to conduct. She respected and accommodated me. I was not bothered at all. I, fortunately, was the only visitor in the house during my stay. It is a three-bedroom house with one bathroom. If you would rather not share with strangers, rent all three rooms.
- Marian Catherine (8/5): Nice working farm - Lovely working farm. Older, but comfortable building and facilities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Night at the Farm - Excellent accommodations with a vintage feel. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would like to come back again.
- Mike (8/5): - Good
Very nice room
Pleasant owner
- Janet (10/5): - The Hostess Judy was outstanding!!! Breakfast was Very special with some of her farm products. We will return again. Great place for children.
- Chloe (10/5): - Unique farm stay with great options for activities and a wonderfully cozy sleeping/food arrangement. Perfect for families and animal lovers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Living in a farm is pretty cool with all the animals. My only real problem was sharing a bathroom with all other guests. I guess I didn't read/understand that setup.
- Warren (10/5): A unique place to stay - Flint Hill is a B and B that is a part of a working farm. It may not be for everyone - but I enjoyed it as a great change of pace. There is no wifi, no TV and the bathroom is shared - but you'll wake to roosters crowing, you'll pet horses, see cows being milked an be treated to a farm breakfast with a choice of duck or chicken eggs. If you have a spirit of adventure, you'll find it enjoyable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - So much fun! Wonderful farm breakfast. Grateful to have experienced the farm!
- Michael (10/5): Great alternative to a regular hotel! - This working farm/hotel is very different than any place I’ve ever stayed during my decades of travel.
If you’re not accustomed to staying in a countryside location and atmosphere with everyday amenities at the farm or nearby, then Flint Hill Farm is a great alternative to your typical hotel stay.
- PJ (8/5): - It’s the real farm experience. Kathy is very sweet and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - liked everything esp the little porch to sit on and the tour of the farm
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a great working farm.
Beautiful surroundings and lovely host.
- thomas (8/5): - Lovely old farm house. Beautiful setting. Great spot for young family with children who enjoy the outdoors, animals, and a quiet time. Great hospitality and hostess.
- Marge (8/5): Interesting farm experience - The house is located in the midst of a farm. It is an educational setting for children. If you like waking to rooster crowing and ducks quaking, this is the place. We were the only guests so we had the one bathroom to ourselves. That might have been a problem if the other rooms had been occupied. We enjoyed talking with the owner and hearing about the history of the farm.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Kathy is an amiable and very attentive host. She runs a really big farm that has all kinds of animals on it. And there is a store which sells the products that she makes. She went out and milked a cow and we put the fresh cream in my coffee. It was the best coffee that I have ever had!
- Patti (10/5): farm experience - Kathy, the innkeeper, is a wonderful hostess.
She treated us like guests in her home, providing
us city folk with a real country/farm experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner is on a mission, but one that needs doing. Enjoy her company, if you can. She will enjoy yours.
