Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): - Office lady is a sweetheart
rooms are very clean and quiet
showers are the best
- Dale (10/5): - Room was very clean. Property manager was amazing to deal with. Rooms are fairly dated. Bed frames were squeaky to the point where I went to my car to grab an allen wrench out of my toolbox to tighten them up. That fixed The problem. Everything else in the room worked as it was supposed to though.
It's a motel so I wasn't expecting a palace. Great customer service and very cleanv goes a long way in my book.
- Michael (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly staff. Extremely clean room. Easy check in/check out. The beds and pillows were a little soft for my comfort, but that's just me.
- Ann (8/5): - Coffee would be made fresh in morning. Breakfast not available.
- Dale (10/5): - Close to airport
- Dale (10/5): Don’t judge this book by its cover! - We were leery about staying as it appeared to be one of those old time roadside motels but was swayed by the 9/10 rating. The room was fantastic! Totally updated; new drapes, new carpet, fresh paint, bathroom updated! And a great price! Would definitely stay here again. Oh, and a wonderful lady at check in as well. The only negative was the pillows, a little on the flat side for my comfort.
- Pamela (10/5): - This small motel was perfect for us. Clean, quiet, a very good value, convenient location. And Vicky, who manages the motel, was amazing--friendly, helpful, and went beyond the call of duty to reach out to us when there was an issue with pre-authorizing our credit card. She called us directly to let us know that she didn't want us to lose our reservation and asked us to call her so we could re-confirm our intention to stay at the Badger that night. Amazing! Would stay again for sure -- and will recommend to anyone we know heading in that direction.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Clean and Quiet. Easy access to highways.
- William (10/5): - GPS made finding it sasy, the two Highway 53's made for some "moments"
A non franchise motel that we would visit again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Such a great find when we had a blowout on the road while passing through and suddenly needed to find a place to stay quickly. Very helpful staff and a clean, comfortable room. It had everything we needed and was a restful haven after a crappy day. Very glad to have found it.
- Heidi (10/5): - I would definitely stay here again. Family Owned and friendly! Property and rooms were very clean, front desk staff were helpful and caring. Great experience here.
- Diane (10/5): - The bed was comfortable and clean.
Walmart is just across the parking lot.

- Russell (10/5): - This is truly a Diamond In the rough. Will stay here next time I’m up this way
- Nancy (10/5): Hotel stay - This is an older hotel without many amenities. It is however kept very clean. Beds are comfortable. I would gladly stay here again.
- jean (10/5): - very clean
friendly staff
- Lisa (10/5): - Jackie the manager so so polite and kind. For a Motel that still uses a key to enter your room, it was very clean and tidy. The beds were a little hard for me as i like a softer mattress but i still slept good. As being a single middle aged woman, i felt safe. The cleaning lady was also kind and funny! She even helped me unload my vehicle! And the rates are AWESOME! Especially for a Friday and or Saturday nights!
- Gayle (10/5): - Very clean and affordable!
- Roger E. (10/5): - Clean, quiet, no frills motel. Everything in the area was booked, and we found this motel. If you just need a place to sleep that is clean and quiet, this will fill your needs.

- Nikolaus (10/5): - Rooms were clean and affordable. Staff was friendly and courtious. All around good experience.

- Tim (10/5): - enjoyed our stay
- Debbie (10/5): - Would have liked to have coffee in the room and a chain lock on inside of room for double locking. Everything else was fantastic!
- Diana (10/5): - Jackie and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had a family reunion the week we spent at your hotel and most of our family stayed at your hotel. We would definitely come back again. Thank you all.

- Anne (10/5): - Jackie the caretaker was great. Simple amenities but very clean.
- Mark (10/5): - Very nice place and soooo clean. Beds are very comfortable.
- Nicole (10/5): - Clean room, but better pillows would be great!!
- Daniel (10/5): Nice place - Nice place. Stayed here before and will stay again.
- Anna (10/5): Great experience - Great room, comfy beds. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- David (10/5): - You might want to consider rotating the mattress on the right hand bed in Room 22. The side next to the night stand has gotten too soft from people constantly sittinng on it.
- Pamela l. (10/5): CLEAN - The Badger Motel is family owned and maintained. This is a no frills motel but extremely clean. quiet and safe. Jacque was friendly and helpful. We like supporting local and family-owned establishments.
- Ramona (10/5): Great location, very clean, great prices - This is a small family owned motel just off the main road. They pride themselves on their cleanliness and they did not disappoint. The room was very clean and even though I always go over all surfaces with Clorox wipes, when I walked in the room, you could smell the clean. They do a great job of maintaining the rooms and property. And the beds were firm and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
- Steve (8/5): - Small family owned.
- Matt (8/5): - Mom and pop shop. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not the biggest rooms, but it did work for what we needed. Would stay here again.

- Daniel (10/5): Perfect mom and pop motel - This is a nice, clean little mom and pop motel. Nothing extra but perfect as is.

- Carla (10/5): - Very simple but clean accomodations. Nicely located. Jackie is the on site manager, very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again for a place to sleep while enjoying the Chippewa Falls activities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quite in spite of closeness to highways
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Verified traveler (8/5): - None
- Jennifer (10/5): Very friendly - Vary clean and welcoming
- karen (8/5): Comfortable and affordable - Desk clerk very personable. Called me several hours ahead to see if I was keeping my reservation. Motel is older but comfortable & safe. Room layout not very easily accessible and parking area is dark.
- Francis X (8/5): - Good experience. Friendly staff, clean room and right price.
- John (10/5): A gem of a motel! - A gem! Well maintained property, everything clean and comfortable, and very nice people. Great option, glad we stopped!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, super clean, and quiet, very good value, restaurants neat by.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - The hotel appears to be family. They were all friendly, courteous, and efficient. The room was clean. Even with 2 queen beds there was still room for a table and a pair of chairs comfortably. We had only planned to stay 1 night. We liked the motel so well that we stayed 3.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was clean enough but the beds were terrible. Old worn out mattress and broken.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was surprised if was like a 50s motel. It was very clean
- MICHAEL (10/5): Nice, if pricey - Don't let the front desk give recommendations on food, without some knowledge.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cheap, Clean and quite place to stay. No issues when we stayed there.
- Dawn (8/5): A clean and comfortable stay - We came to town for a Legion baseball tournament. Badger Motel was a great choice for us. Clean, comfortable, and close to Wal-Mart, restaurants, main roads. The room we were in had two queen size beds and a fridge/microwave and plenty of space. I was especially impressed with the friendliness for the front desk staff and the very clean room/bathroom. We appreciate those things so much! Badger Motel also had coffee and breakfast bars in lobby area. Overall, a good experience and good value.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was ice cold and it’s very humid and wet . There are no amenities or just coffee or breakfast . It seems overpriced for what it is .
- Danielle (10/5): rockfest 0219 - i really enjoyed our stay here it was right next to a Walmart and 25 miles from our destination. very friendly staff and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly and fast service. Shopping within steps away . This place will be my first choice next time i visit the are.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean and smelled very fresh small family run hotel very well kept upwill definitley stay here again. Walmart is a short walk away if anything was needed
- Joe (10/5): - Very clean and well maintained. Very nice staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Old school motel charm - Stayed here for two nights while in town for the Leinenkugel's Family Reunion. It's an old school motel layout, which you don't see much anymore. The woman at the desk when I checked in was very nice.
- christinebN1916MT (10/5): Simple and Accommodating - Small and simple, yet met all needs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Hubby thought bed was too soft, but I had no problem with it. Offered coffee for morning. Convenient location.
- 8725 (6/5): Surprisingly good - Mgt works hard to keep clean. Linens and blanket in good shape. If you can get one more pillow from office it would be ideal. Coffee and breakfast bars in morning in utilitarian hallway with great window over sink. Cleavely appointed. Most guests are hwy construction there to do a job, not party. Quiet. Bed a little hard. Walking distance to retail.
- Haynes2 (10/5): Chippewa Music 🎶 Festival - Nice place to rest, close to a family restaurant where you can get a good breakfast for less than $5. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was amazing and Internet was fast. The price was $75 per night. Other big chain hotels were way over $150. Don't except free stuff here, just a great shower and good nights sleep. We stayed 4 nights.
- 483trenta (2/5): Rude and crazy - Owners were nice on the phone when booking room but we're far from nice from the minute I showed up. Treated me like an unwanted house guest rather than a paying customer. Informed them when booking room that I would be arriving late, they said no problem just call and if needed they would leave a room open and a key inside. I called that evening to let them know I would be there BEFORE they closed the office and got a lecture from the lady that I better be or I would have to find another motel. Got checked in and asked the husband what time they opened in the morning as I needed to leave early. He said office opened at 7 but he would be there by 6 to get coffee going so if I needed to check out between 6 and 7 no problem. Well at 6:30 the next morning I was getting chewed by him because he didn't open till 7, and he had other things to do and didn't open till 7 for a reason. Wow, I thought I woke up in another dimension! Room was nice and clean but owners are crazy and rude. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple bucks more and stay at the holiday inn up the street.
- travelingsisterson35 (10/5): Best of the many - We were almost at the end of our journey, having spent the nights in over 7 motels (mostly the chains paying $100+). Of all the rooms we had (and we picked this one because we were tired and it was there) it was the cleanest and the most convenient to use. The bathroom was great, the comfortable chairs/table also. The beds slept very well and the pillows were not too bulky. Cable service wonderful. All in all, it was number one on our long list. We'd definitely stop again.
- 872catj (2/5): BEWARE!!!!! NOT WHAT IT SEEMS!!!!! - Do not be deceived by a somewhat decent room!! The extended stay part houses ex-cons,junkies,prostitutes and child molesters. You will share common areas with them including the pop machine, the ice machine and coffee area.I speak from a horrible experience. Save yourself one!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
- 402cyndih (10/5): good place to stay - The roads were too bad to keep driving, so we needed a place to stay. this is the first place we seen and we just needed off the road. to our surprise the rate was really good the man at the front desk was very helpful and the rooms were so clean you could eat off the floor. Thank you so much for a great place to stay.
- hones8 (2/5): AWFUL..STAY AWAY.. - Worst experience I've ever had. The owners are crazy, they came in our room unannounced multiple times. You can't have family or visitor apparantly. They told us a friend of ours was there too long and they knew this because they checked his vehicle and it was cold. We had a fire lost our home and we had things from storage that we were going to donate or sell one being a baby pack and play and accused us of having a child in there, one rule no children. The room was disgusting I brought my own sheets and towels. The walls had yellow goo dripping from them, the internet never works and they have multiple secure WiFi options but they won't give you password. No pets, which we also were accused of. They have designated parking options for you, not by room and very limited. If you park in the multiple open spaces they will call the authorities. The staff is far from friendly, and they only give one key but allow 2 adults, and either you don't get in your room or you have to bother them to let you in. And they let you know you bothered them. Owner in letting me in inspected my belongings and said hes watching us. There was mold in the freezer, it feels more like a prison with cement walls, so yea I guess it is quiet. It smells like sewer outside, for not allowing animals the room smelled like cats. We were Tod they sat outside and watched our room and vehicles till 4am. Never offered toilet paper, never came in to clean room and we were told they had to. Just assume that anything you do is probably breaking an unwritten rule. I think it's a scam to get your money And harass you till you can't bear it anymore and there's no refunds so they will keep your money. And for someone who sits outside watching out room you think they would have seen us bring a pet or a child in. I have never been treated so inhumane ever. I will say at first the man owner seemed welcoming and nice, but that changed. The lady is horrible, she scolded me like I was dumb, and when I called to ask a question hung up on me 3x. I could go on but I would hope that someone reads this and it saves them from ever staying there.
- Monica0987654321 (2/5): Would never stay there again *******STAY AWAY******* - This was the worst room I've ever rented. The man at the front desk is rude and crazy. There's rules like no kids, no family or friends can stop to visit. If u step outside to smoke He will walk right in your room. These people are crazy. Lots of problem here DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY HERE!!!!!!!! Stay away from this place
- BeccaandAl (2/5): No vacancy??? - Sunday night at 10:30, rang the bell and a shirtless, tattooed man answered the door and said there was no vacancy and then proceeded to put the sign up. There were four cars in the lot. I guess it's rude family run!! DON'T TAKE THE EXIT!!!
- 804rf (8/5): Clean, up to date rooms. Great rates - I stayed there for one night passing through town, and was very impressed. The rooms and hallways are up to date, and the bathroom was spotless. The guy at the counter came out and shot the breeze with me about the car I was towing. Nice place, would stay again.
- LiveForTravel13 (4/5): Rude owners.... - When walking into the lobby, the lady was very un-welcoming, it felt like we had put her out having to leave her living room. Big signs up, NO REFUNDS, NO PETS and even children are not allowed to stay if you are staying longer than a day!!!!!!!! We don't have kids but I still felt that was a very bad way to run a business!
Had to stay anyway, we had been driving all day. Got into the Room and it was very depressing. No curtains, just blinds which let loads of light in. Ugly dated furniture, extremely basic. Old TV, with barely any channels. The bathroom was very clean, no complaints there.
The bed was comfortable, with clean fresh smelling bedding. Only good thing about our stay.
WIFI did not work, unless I sat outside.
No breakfast or even coffee in the morning.
It's within walking distance to Walmart and across the street they have restaurants and stuff.
It wasn't too bad for the price. The owners are not very welcoming though. Felt like they didn't care if we stayed or not. Very abrupt people.
I suggest driving into Eau Claire, only a few miles away and LOTS more choices for the same price, if not lower.
