Verified traveler (10/5): Warm, cozy and comfortable - The Inn was clean and comfortable. Common area furniture was a little worn. But the guestroom was updated and very inviting. Breakfastwas healthy and delicious. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. I would recommend to anyone.
Michelle (10/5): Perfect historic Inn - We stumbled across Abigail Inn and were overwhelmed by how wonderful the stay was. Located in the historical section of Lexington VA. The quaint town was walkable to several historic sites and wonderful local restaurants. The Inn was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were friendly and accommodating

Rachelle (10/5): Best B&B!! - I have stayed at multiple B&B's and by far this was the nicest! The family that runs it are so down to earth and treat you like family. Breakfast was amazing, I'm not sure what the chef does that's so special, but definitely one of the best omelets we have ever had! Definitely give this place a try, it's within walking distance to restaurants, and there's a historic cemetery on the way that you can stroll through and see Stonewall Jacksons burial site and monument. And don't forget the sunset over the mountains from the balcony <3

It is in a wonderful location for those who are visiting Lexington, Virginia, Washington and Lee University, or Virginia Military Institute. The included breakfast was honestly one of the best breakfasts of my life!

Only drawback for me was I thought the room was very cold and there are no individual thermostats in the guest rooms. My husband and I brought our 2 little yorkies with us and we went to CVS to buy a heating pad for them. I slept with my jacket on and my head under the covers.

Eleonore (10/5): - Quiet, lovely inn with very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was generous and well presented! Hosts were responsive and friendly. Only surprise was that Expedia listed the room as accommodating three people at a certain price and I learned upon arrival that the twin cot being added was an additional cost. Typically if a room with a queen can accommodate more than two people, there’s a sofabed involved and the cost is the cost. That said, we were very happy with our stay and hope to return!

Lurlene (10/5): - Excellent Experience! We received a warm welcome to this absolutely beautiful, historical property. It was so clean and the decor was elegant, tasteful and inviting. There were many added touches such as a bottle of wine, cookies, expresso machine and water bottles in our room. We had a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge mountains and the bed was comfortable. The best part was was our made to order breakfast in the stately dining room. The omelettes were perfection! The owners were very friendly, and we will definitely be back if we’re in the area again! We also recommend checking out the nearby Natural Bridge.

Joseph (10/5): A Relaxing Inn in the Shenandoah Valley - Thierry, the innkeeper, was the consumate host. We stayed in the Marshall room and found it to be commodious, very clean, quiet, and generally delightful. We enjoyed the delicious from scratch breakfast and conversation with other guests. A visit to the Abigail Inn is like visiting friends in a fine Virginia home. The inn is close to downtown making walking to dinner and shopping convenient.

When I explained our reasons for wanting the specific room we had booked he said "No problem. I have already checked with the guests wishing to extend and they are willing to change rooms." Our host also had a great deal of information about the area and places to eat and see, as well as willing to talk about his background in the hospitality industry. Room was spacious and the bed was excellent! Breakfast was fabulous! We plan to stay again in the future.

The Inn is within walking distance to downtown Lexington for great food and entertainment. Breakfast was good and if they offer the salmon scramble and you like salmon, you should try it!
