• Clarice (6/5): - We rented two rooms at the hotel. It is close to the old city and on street parking is very close. One of the rooms air conditioning didn’t work so was a bit warm. The rooms are fine and had the things needed for a one night stay.

• Mårten (4/5): Enkelt, men mycket trevligt rum - Obefintlig information om incheckning. 30 minuter efter ankomst till låst boende, kom information på WhatsApp. Men efter strul med incheckning och tillgång, får vi ett enkelt men mycket trevligt rum med sköna säng. Bra läge, ca 5 minuters promenad till stadsport en.

• Joseph (6/5): Location was great - Great location for visiting Lucca old town. Parking can be a challenge here. Communication was clear allowing us access to the building and our rooms. The A/C was not working and it was very hot upon arrival. The weather cooled significantly over night and kept us from roasting but the non-working A/C is an issue. The room was clean and otherwise comfortable. The internet worked okay. We did not see or directly interact with any personnel on site.
• Florence (6/5): Une escale courte et décevante - Ne correspond pas du tout aux photos qui donnent l'impression d'une vieille maison de famille bien entretenue et accueillante. En réalité une maison-hôtel au confort et à l'accueil minimum. Seuls avantages : près de l'entrée de la ville intra-muros et parking gratuit. Rapport qualité /prix trop élevé.
• Pierluigi (10/5): Staff super - Bella e tranquilla struttura a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro di Lucca, con facilità di parcheggio nel cortiletto interno. In particolare, da segnalare la grande gentilezza da parte dello staff, in particolare Vincenzo, che ha risolto perfettamente una nostra mancanza di comunicazione.
• Stuart (2/5): No air conditioning and attitude problem - We booked this hotel a year in advance for the Lucca Summer Festival concerts. On arrival we were told the air conditioning had 'just' stopped working. We were lead up to the attic room. We asked if there were any other rooms with working air conditioning as it was mid 30s and even hotter in the roof. No other rooms 'in fact I could have rented your room for 200 euros, there's a concert on tonight', so I assume we should be grateful to be cooked in the attic at least we have a room? Charming! We were very lucky, there was a storm in the night so we felt the roof cool down, clay roof tiles one metre above your sleeping face give out quite a lot of heat. When we checked out the next day we asked if the air conditioning was going to be fixed, and the same chap pleaded ignorance, 'oh is it not working?'
• Alexandra (10/5): - This is a delightful family run property located perfectly in Lucca. The rooms are charming and the general atmosphere lovely. We stayed there last year to attend the Lucca Summer Festival and the same again this year - actually on two separate occasions. There is no doubt we will do the same next year!!

Camera da rivedere; bel messaggio di ben venuto all'entrata, ma poi ad esempio é presente 1 solo bicchiere grande (in plastica usa e getta) con una bottiglia d'acqua e le cialde per il cappuccino. Il pavimento é il vero neo della stanza: rigonfiato da un lato, rende scomodo sia il riposo nel letto (letto sollevato da un lato) che ad esempio alzarsi durante la notte. Il bagno é piccolo, ma pulito. La porta scorrevole é poco silenziosa. Senza il discorso del pavimento, la valutazione sarebbe stata sicuramente migliore.

• j a (10/5): Delightful character property just off the main ro - Vincenzo was very helpful with check in and emailed us details on how to check in after hours. However we arrived just in time and got to meet him and he sorted us out with a car spot in the garden. Accommodation was great, toiletries provided, good shower and the coffee was lovely. Map given with directions to town and places to visit. Very near to city gate. Recommend walking the city walls at sunrise. Would definitely recommend.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Zimmer ohne Fenster, nur Dachluke vorhanden. - Leider haben wir ein Zimmer am Dachgeschoss bekommen und diese ohne Fenster. Das Zimmer hatte einen Dachfenster wo man es auch leider nicht ganz öffnen konnte. Zimmer war leider wie eine Sauna, da die angebene Klimaanlage eigentlich nur Luft ausströmt und keine Kälte. Leider haben wir das Haus einen Tag vorher verlassen. Wer Luca Zufluss besichtigen möchte, super Lage sowie Parken ist kein Thema!
• Dan (2/5): - So we got a great deal however...... it turned out to be an attic room with slanted ceilings and beams low enough to hit your head, I have the bruises and bumps to prove it! A small room to begin with however it had NO WINDOWS!!! It did have a skylight in the bedroom ceiling that opened an inch or two only. The bathroom was tiny with a skylight and no window and a coffin sized shower. In US standards it would not be a legal room. No fire exit or ladder to escape. A/C did not cool the room until half way through the second day. On arrival the property looked nice and we are sure the lower floor rooms were far nicer but the upper floor should stay as an attic or storage. They did allow us parking in the private lot which was nice and not part of the booking but sadly we can not recommend a stay there based on our room.

Hôtel situé à l'extérieur des remparts mais sans contrainte pour se rendre à pied rapidement dans le centre de Lucca. L'obtention de la chambre se fait avant midi ou à partir de 15h30 auprès de la réception. Chambre spacieuse et propre avec petite sdb et wc attenant. Petit appareil chauffant disponible avec ses capsules pour se faire un café ou un thé. Petit parking de l'hôtel très pratique qui est fermé par deux grandes portes. Literie ferme avec matelas à mémoire de forme. J'y retournerai pour un court séjour.
• claire (6/5): - A notre arrivée, notre hôte n a pu nous proposer 2 des 4 chambres réservées , pour problème technique dans les salles de bain. Nous avons été logé dans un autre Bed &B tout près mais de confort plus moyen et sans cachet. Juste quelques capsules de café et une machine nespresso très basique avec des biscuits sous vides dans chaque chambre pour le petit déjeuner. Possibilité de laisser ses bagages toute la journée sans difficulté Bien situé bien que des chambres sur la grande rue un peu bruyante. les salles de bain mériteraient un vrai coup de "jeunesse"
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Small guest house close to city centre. We found it hard to use the strange little machine in the bedroom for breakfast provision. As the guest house is named B&B we were rather disappointed. But for the price it was quite ok.

• Giovanni (8/5): - Sarebbe da valutazione 4 stelle se non fosse che il riscaldamento non funzionava e l'addetto non conosceva il funzionamento dei comandi per attivarlo. Il resto tutto ok, molto vicino alle porte per entrare a Lucca, parcheggio interno, in dotazione anche le chiavi del portone esterno, questo dà grande libertà di movimento e orari.

• Paul (8/5): Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding - Dit is geen top, maar dat kan ook niet voir de prijs. Locatie is op loopafstand van de stadsmuur van Lucca. Alles is schoon en de beheerder is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Staff are lovely and the place is very clean. Loved the wee balcony. Couldn't quite figure out how to make the most of the coffee machine tho!
• David (4/5): Not as described - Booked two garden view rooms, only got one the other was in the attic, no view other than sky No breakfast which in a B&B was annoying but great pastry shop close by. No aircon in either room No water in fridge, told to go to local shop Man on reception seemed annoyed to be disturbed from his phone. Coffee machine in room was handy but the pods were a lucky dip as no indication of what contained what. No blinds over skylight in attic room so early wake up at first light, you won't get a lay in even with a face mask as pigeons peck the roof incessantly Bed comfortable
• Steven (8/5): A great location - A traditiona building that will always be my preference over a sterile chain hotel, the location is perfect, a stone's throw outside the city walls. Easy access to/from Pisa airport by road. We had access from our room to a terrace that leant itself to early evening drinks. Lucca is a wonderful place and if you want auhenticity and value for money then you will find it here.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay in Lucca - We really appreciated the accommodating and relaxing vibe of the Lucca Relais after over a week spent in more touristy areas of Italy. The staff were very friendly, especially considering our poor Italian skills. Room was cozy and very quiet. We're unsure about the "breakfast" aspect of the b&b (previous reviews seem to say it's been discontinued?) but we were happy to walk around Lucca to find breakfast anyway. Would highly recommend! PS: Only major con was a large beam near one side of the bed. I think I hit my head on it a grand total of 3 times, with increasing force. Ouch.
• peter (6/5): Good location - Plus points-Vincent was charming and helpful, the location is good - just outside the city walls- and peaceful, bed supremely comfortable, little coffee machine fine, and at a good price for Lucca. Negatives-I'm sure this place is perfect if you are lucky enough to be on the lower floors but we were in room 8, top floor, under the eaves which were ridiculously low on one side of the room - I am 156cm tall and had to duck to avoid bashing my head. It was also extremely hot despite air conditioning, so had to have a fan on all night too for it to be bearable. The configuration of the bathroom would make a tight squeeze for anyone on the larger size. No lift either so a lot of stairs if you have heavy luggage.
• Patrick (10/5): Nice hotel just outside wall of Lucca - Wonderful hotel with clean comfortable room, excellent staff and convenient location just outside of wall. Vincent was friendly, professional and excellent in all matters. Hotel location and parking was perfect if travelling by auto.
• Clifford (8/5): A quick stay in Lucca - The host was very nice and helpful; he checked us in quickly and provided a map and information about Lucca. To actually have a person check us in, we had to be at the hotel between 10 am and 1 pm. Checking in at other times was possible. Breakfast is not provided, but you can make tea and coffee in the room. If you reference the directions provided by the hotel, then access from the autostrade is easy and direct. Otherwise, the traffic we experienced in Lucca was fairly heavy. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the rooms away from the street on the first floor were quiet and had private terraces. Very nice. We would stay here again.
