- Ramon (6/5): - Very convenient place to stay close to shops and lots of restaurants around however place is a dirty and washrooms is so small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Vincent (8/5): Cleaners - Just don’t open the room whenever there’s no around even though you are just entering for trash.
- Pimpan (4/5): - Dirty room
- Diomira Maria (10/5): - This a clean place among the small inns in Hong Kong, Nathan Road. The price is low and the area is convenient for travelers within a budget. The service was good and management likes to help his guests to have a nice experience in Hong Kong. Providing information on transportation and money exchange. Luggage is stored for free.
It is convenient and inexpensive.
- Lindy Soon Yee (2/5): - Pros:
- This hotel is accessible to late night food and the MTR.
Cons:
- However, note that for this price, the room is clean but there will be roaches appearing every now and then.
- Water heater does not work
- Room is too small to even fit an opened luggage
- Room reeks of bleach
- Toiletries (shampoo, body soap, toothpaste, toothbrush) are not readily provided so do bring your own
- Hairdryer does not work
- marcus (8/5): - Good
- Craig (10/5): - Can store luggage for you before check-in and after check-out.
Location great for tourists.
Staff friendly in general, especially Ah Mui
- Stephen Mark (8/5): - Location :
Convenient to shops, malls, MTR, buses, restaurants and coffee shops, Science Museum, plus Victoria harbour and Kowloon Park. It’s 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the Airport (T1) by bus (A21 and A22 buses). Please note that MTR doesn’t go to the airport and you need to transfer by AirPort Express which is quite expensive. Bus is just HKD34.60
Room 1604, 16/F (top floor):
Clean, newly refurbished, everything was working. Towels and toiletries was provided. Hot and cold water was working fine. Drinking water dispenser was provided outside our room.
Office/Staff Admin:
Everything is on the 13/F and it’s a little bit difficult to find. Luckily, Ms Li of 3D Inn Dragon HongKong Hostel was available on the 13th floor and she explains everything that we need to know about our stay. Plus, she emailed the instructions on how to get there (which helps).
- Paul (8/5): Spacious in hk - Very nice place for the money
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff are really friendly & accomodating, they even allowed us to leave our luggahe even after check out until 1:30pm
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Near MTR Tsim Sha Tsui
Room is very small. Inconvenient, many guests can use only 1 elevator to go up-down.
- Shiu (2/5): 3D Inn Dragon Hong Kong experience - This was the first time I stayed in this type of hostel. I did not know it provides no towel, no desk, no chairs, nothing except toilet paper. From the register office (13 F) to my room (3F), I have to go through an area full of garbage and the smell was really terrible. The hand-held shower head was leaking.
Since the room is located among the commercial and residential area, on one side of the room, it is a normal family type apartment, on the other side, it could be a small laundry shop. It is very difficult to get into the lift from the 3F to the ground floor, because it is always full during the morning time. The price I paid (US$150/ night) is close to the price of a full service hotel charged Sunday through Thursday.
I will never come back again.
- Ehab (6/5): - I like the position of this property but the tv not working and the staff not helping (not all staff ) one was helping who met us when made check in
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad - Around the area of hotel ,It so bad ,so narrow ,So dirty
- Calvin (8/5): 4/5 - Very nice staff , I think very good for low cost , room so clean , comfortable, center of the city. 4/5 point (quality come with the price.)
- Nick (10/5): A convenient place - Easy access to anywhere in Hong Kong and an affordable way to experience the great city.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't book into this Hotel - We arrived in Hong Kong in the evening and looked for the hotel. We were disappointed to see the surroundings. It is not a hotel. Just several rooms in a poor condominium building with market on the ground floor. Was able to book into a different hotel nearby at Imperial Hotel.
- Cynthia (6/5): Convenient and in heart of shopping district. - Room is small but clean and everything worked. Nathan Street has all conveniences and close to public transport. I felt quite safe walking back in evening. People were friendly and helpful.
- Jessica (8/5): - Small, but prime location and worth the price.
- pp (8/5): Nice hotel close to MTR station. - Good room, but the water from bathroom is leaking to toom floor
- Josh (8/5): Fantastic location, but expect bare minimum - Difficult to check in, hard to find reception. Building is pretty run down. If you can look past those, fantastic location, lots of great food nearby, close to 2 MTR stations, supermarket nearby, bare minimum comfort room wise. Would recommend to budget travellers. Would stay again if on a tight budget.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good Location, Bad Service - I arrived at night to Hong Kong. Reached the LKF Station, could not find the hotel. Gave the hotel a call, The lady on the phone was rude and did not help me in finding the hotel. Found it myself by asking around. On the second day, the hotel ran out of clean towels. So we had to use the used towels which was still wet. The toilet is clean but smells really bad. Overall, not a great experience. Would never go back.
- Jill (6/5): It was fine. - While I don't expect much from a "cheap" hostel, I felt like I had received a better value from cheap places elsewhere. Maybe it can be attributed to expensive Hong Kong; i don't know.
- Daniel (4/5): Very very small room, air condition leaking water. - The room was too small. The air condition leaking water and the staff said it is because of i turn it into too cold. The lift have only one button that mean if u wanna go down yo ground floor, u have to go up to the top level and then go down.
- Andy (6/5): No Frills but perfect for purpose - Well placed location wise. Was a bit noisy as building work was going on at the time of my visit, poor timing on my part! Overall the room was fine for what I needed. I was travelling alone and it served this purpose completely. The room was fairly basic, two single beds pushed together to make a double, was basin, toiled, shower, air con and TV. Wifi service was ok, needed to log in with each use initially but found a way round this. Staff were always happy to help with any issues and were very friendly. There was a kettle and tea bags in the hallway along with a small fridge you could store milk and small bottles of water. For the price the accommodation was spot on. Central location with lots of cheap places to eat and shopping malls and MTR stations very near by. Overall quite happy with the hotel.
- Aamir (8/5): Value for money. - Absolutely value for money.was looking for a place to sleep and to shower! This place provided for that more than adequately!
- Muk (6/5): Choice for money save - The mansion is very old but the room inside is new and clean. It is very near to MTR. However, I have to wait long time for check-in. The staff is not very helpful. Anyway, overall is okay compare with the price.
- Galit (8/5): Great value for money. perfect location. - very convenient location. 1 minute walking from MTR station
- Galit (8/5): Very comfortable in a perfect convenient location - Room was very comfortable with everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
The cleaning wasn't so good and every time the cleaning lady took our towels and didn't give us new ones instead.
- Paulo (8/5): Worth it. - A hotel not for everyone. May not be the best but ots imperfections makes it part of the adventure. Staying in fancy boring hotels is too mainstream. But being in Nathan Road, inside Mirador is one of the best things we did in Hong Kong and will certainly still be part of our plans the next time.
- Olly (8/5): Cool. tidy and clear but too hard to find - cool but I think they have to note location more specific
- Danny (8/5): Good for the money - Room is small but clean. Good for low budget guesthouse
- Verified traveler (8/5): I would still recommend. - Mirador Mansion, where the hostel is located in, is right on Nathan street at the famous TST area. That means the location alone is almost worth the room price if your plan is mainly to go shopping.
The hostel is managed by an office which also runs several other hostels in the same building, and yet they close between 1AM - 9AM when it should be 24/7 with that many rooms they have. Our flight got delayed twice, so the first chance I got to call them was already at 2 AM. No one answered the phone so we had to spend our first night in HK on the airport bench. This was not exactly their fault. But when we arrived at the hostel's office on the 13th floor in the morning, the check-out queue started to form since 8:30 so we had to wait there for a long time to check in. The staff is highly capable, but management could really use a few more of them.
However, after the unfortunate check-in experience, we still had a pleasant stay. The room was spotlessly clean. All amenities worked well. The building looked old but I think was better than the nearby Chungking Mansion by far. All in all, I would recommend this place to my friends, and I even might go back to stay again.
- Anthony (6/5): Tiny but good location - The room was tiny and on the 13th floor rather than what had been advertised. My initial room had ants but I was moved. Location was great, right next to east tsim sha tsui station
- Heath (8/5): Can't do much better for the price - For $35/night, this place was excellent. Ignore the rough-looking building - the hotel's part and the rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but good value. You're right in the middle of a vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants and easy metro access. Only downside is the elevator, which takes forever.
- Rebecca (10/5): Good value for money - their check in desk and room are on different floors. The hallway to the room is a bit disgusting but inside the room is a world different. Room is larger than expected and is clean. So many shopping malls around the area in walking distance and subway just a step away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice location & close to MTR. - Very helpful staffs and low rate for HK stays. Safety is important and I felt safe during my stays.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - poor environment difficult to contact front desk inconvenient elevator
- Wendy (10/5): Cool place to experience real Hong Kong - Only stayed there to sleep but would have liked to stay longer. It's a really interesting place, located in the vast complex of the Mirador Mansions, which has featured in films set in Hong Kong. Rooms are small, but everything works and good aircon! Easier than anticipated finding reception, which is on 13th floor, but well sign-posted. Much better than staying in a boring hotel, where you're cut off from reality!
- Verified traveler (10/5): All good in the room - Inside the room is a world different which is new and clean. But outside the apartment is crappy and the building is quite old, interesting to stay in such old local residential building though. Staffs are young and efficient. Surrounding area is very convenient and lots of shopping malls in walking distance.
- K.C. (10/5): Good! - simple, cheap and good enough for budget travelers.
- Kelvin (10/5): friendly staffs and good location - i booked a single room and the bed is semi double size which is big enough for 1 person. The location is great but first time arriving may not be an easy task to find the hostel. The building is located on Nathan Road and next to the entrance there is a camera shop and jewelry boutique. After all, cheap and simple, single travelers or couples staying 1-2 nights is fine here but for family i won't suggest.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location, value for money - reception is not easy to reach as i read the check in instruction that i have to go to 13th floor first for check in, took a bit of t ime to wait. The building itself is huge and old and sophisticated. Inside the room is very different and new. Good wifi but no other facilities. Limited TV channels. Staffs are friendly.
- SJ (8/5): great location with great staffs - The room and the service itself was great. They even offered me a free upgrade to a room with windows (I've booked a cheap room w/o windows). It's clean, apparently recently renovated. Its location is great (right across from Holiday Inn on Nathan street), however, the mansion building itself is not so good.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Did not check in - Could not find this "hotel". Not a hotel. Please do not book. Expedia should get this listing immediately off their offerings
