Guest Reviews
- Sharleen (5/5): - Great facilities for what we needed, a kitchen to cook, nice pressured shower, comfy beds, tv for kids, parking for our car. Parties that go late into night. I know it's near the University and i should have realised when we booked. Needed earplugs on a Saturday night!
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Norma-Jean (6/5): -
- Ella (7/5): Good value for money, would stay there again. - It was close to where we needed to be. Very close to the Uni and close to some food outlets.
Comfortable beds and the electric heaters for every room kept the place nice and warm.
Kitchenette available. Extremely noisy with a party going on directly across the road.
- Mohammad (10/5): -
- GANDHIMATHI (10/5): Great stay - Neat and clean Location friendly staff facilities
- Natalie (8/5): - It had everything we needed.

- Annissa (7/5): Enjoyed my stay nice staff just a bit old and dated - Old and dated The apartments were nice and big lots of room
- Ruth (8/5): Value for money. - Good budget accomodation. Comfy beds, nice new carpet, good location - easy to get everywhere, friendly staff. It suited out purposes for a quick stop in Dunedin. It is quite dated, but the carpet was new and the beds were comfy so not a real issue for us.
- Jack (10/5): -
- Belinda (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Staff was nice. Best water pressure so far! Water was also quick to heat up.
The beds were comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Kettle with coffee/tea. The kitchen looks stocked well, although we did not use it. It is close to the main street so you hear street traffic, especially if you leave the windows opened. It didn’t bother me, but one friend didn’t like the noise
- Sylvia (10/5): Will be our go-to lodging in Dunedin. - Great location, dedicated and convenient parking. Units were clean and comfy. Manager was extremely helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
- Susan (5/5): -
- Phillip (10/5): -
- Wendy (6/5): -
- Elle (7/5): Fun night spent with the girls before St Patrick’s day -
- Jodi (10/5): Value for money - Location was handy to town. Clean and comfortable with a dedicated parking spot Nothing, it was basic but good value. Could use a spatula, fish slice in the kitchen.
- Nicky (9/5): Great location for anyone visiting anyone at the Uni - Location. The two separate rooms plus a lounge. Staff very friendly. Kitchen facilities good. A little bit noisy but it is on the main road into Dunedin!
- Anna (10/5): Welcome surprise - Beds were extremely comfortable with electric blankets, a plus
- Yasmina (3/5): - Niets.
- Christina (4/5): One night was enough - Location Very dated
Very noisy
- Genevieve (9/5): Great value for money. Excellent customer service. Clean. Sharp knife very blunt bit that’s completely understandable bu - Very friendly staff member (one in particular) place was very clean. Nothing really. Actually my oven was on the blitz as one high temperature no matter what you put
It on but not everyone cooks loads like I did.!
- Nicholas (8/5): Great location. Older property but very clean and tidy. - Very clean. Staff friendly. Good location. Carparking slightly difficult becuase of overgrown rose bush. Needs to be pruned.
- Duncan (10/5): The staff was awesome, so nice and willing to help with anything. - It was close to where I needed to go. It was clean and had great facilities
- David (10/5): -
- danika (10/5): - Easy check in and check out, designated car park available as well. Although we had a problem with the power tripping in our room, staff was quick to troubleshoot and transfer us to another room as soon as they were able. Very friendly and accomodating
- Zane (5/5): 1 night stay - Was reasonable value for money Too much noise from surrounding students, and occupants next room came home 3am and woke us up
- Ruth (10/5): Close to uni. Comfy. Good size. Great host. - Really close to everything and the 2 bedroom unit was BIG! Beds were super comfy and Arnold the host couldn’t have done enough for us. He’s a star. Nothing

- Mandeep (10/5): -
- Ruby Asho (10/5): - Very thoughtful staff
- Katrina (8/5): -
- Penny (10/5): - The flexibility of check in and the welcoming kind nature of the young man in the office. We had to be at the hospital for a whānau emergency and we got to our room and he had hand written a note and left 2 blocks of chocolate for us.
- Paul (6/5): -
- Erenea (10/5): - Clean, comfortable and alot of equipments that we can utilize Nothing
- Marshall (7/5): -
- Tania (8/5): A comfortable stay without frills. - The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is on the main road into Dunedin so initially a bit noisy, but traffic died down and we didn't hear it at night. Beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. The kitchen was adequate, but could have done with an oven dish and oven cloth.
- Emma (6/5): A little dated but okay - Oil heaters were provided and worked pretty well. Lots of extra blankets available. Low insulation so quite cold in winter and leather couches made the living room quite chilly. Everything was quite old and dated.
- Jack (10/5): Good - Good for Mates seeing uni mates Bit cold but not to bad
- Kathlene (6/5): Pleasant stay for a one nighter, cheaper option. Facilities and room did it's purpose -
- David (7/5): - Friendly staff Middle of winter, took a long time to heat the room.
- Noel joe honey (10/5): We had a lovely stay, the motel exceeded our expectations and we would strongly recommend that motel - Everything was very neat and clean, the bathroom and kitchen we’re very clean, and the entire apartment was spotless and well-maintained. Vanessa, the front desk employee, was friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room was large and well furnished, and the bed was really comfy. Excellent location, close to restaurants and shops, and conveniently close to the city center.
- Jacqui (4/5): Was fine for one night but wouldn’t want to stay longer - Dirty, old very run down
- Norbert (10/5): - The two bedroom apartment had everything we needed, with lots of space to spread out and it's own car park. It was very clean, comfortable beds, lots of blankets and a heat pump. Well located with a 15 minute walk to downtown. Many restaurants and bottle shop just nearby.
Staff were attentive and on hand for help if you needed anything.
- danika (10/5): -
- Andrej (9/5): -
- Hania_R (8/5): Dobry pokój na jedną noc. - Była możliwość późnego zameldowania. Pokój był duży i wyposażony w sprzęty i naczynia do przygotowania pożywienia. Były ręczniki i kosmetyki. Nie działał telewizor oraz suszarka do włosów.
- Katrina (9/5): - Really kind and accommodating staff, late check in allowed. Late notice they allowed us to stay for longer, we were dealing with an unwell/palliative family member in the hospital and they discreetly left flowers and chocolate in our room with a lovely hand written note. It was very lovely and appreciated

- qooespres (8/5): -
- Nikhil (9/5): Wonderful - Location
Facility
Cleanliness Need more power connections to charge mobile as main connection got engaged in heater
- Peter (10/5): -
- Marie (6/5): - Location was good for what we needed.
- Ismahaan (8/5): Worth the price you pay. Vanessa was soo lovely and amazing! - Location, staff and parking. It wasn’t the cleanest unfortunately. Rubbish was left from last guest. Call reception and it was changed immediately. Shower was leaking and it leaked all over the floor. Bed sheets and blankets had a bad smell.
- Lily (6/5): Good for the price you pay - It was close to restaurants nice and warm aswell beds were comfy for the price you pay, quite area especially if you need a good nights rest for the morning to come, unfortunately a light fixture when we arrived was broken beside the double side bed, was like that when we got there, not very good for larger cars as the entrance way to parking is very VERY tight for wider cars ( for perspective I drive a Fg Falcon so they are kinda large but not people mover large)
- Rex (5/5): - The traffic noise is terrible. a very disturbed sleep.
- Matt (10/5): - Lovely hosts and very friendly. Able to help with advice about local shops and places to go.
Very lovely note left to wish me luck on some upcoming exams!
- Xiaosu (8/5): -
- Liam (3/5): - Proximity to SH1 and very tight parking
- Johanna (9/5): Close to everything required. Hassle free good prices accomodation - Close to uni and shops Heating but provided heater worked
- Troon (5/5): - It was a very noisy area - street and student parties, which we thought we’d avoid being a little further from centre city. Overall it was very tired amenities, though functional enough
- Johanna (9/5): Close to uni, shops etc. comfortable & relaxed hassle free. - Location close to everything required. Space in the unit and comfort. And the new air con unit Had no issues
- Brent (7/5): - It is a big unit, and kept clean, beds were comfortable Very 60s decor, parking a little tight.
- Cantwell (9/5): -
- Victoria (7/5): Completely met our needs. Clean spacious, well equipped. - I liked the location to the city centre/botanic gardens/university etc. I liked the space in the 2 bedroom apartment. There was plenty of room. I liked the cleanliness, new carpet, no mould or musty smell. It had everything we needed for a short 3 day stay. Plenty of extra bedding, towels etc. Staff were super friendly. New carpet was great. Cumberland street is a busy road and we got a lot of road noise especially when big trucks would go by. Also relatively close to student flats and our timing with Guy Fawkes night wasn't great but it did make it difficult to sleep. If you are a light sleeper I'd recommend ear plugs. Dated decor but didn't detract from the other positives.
- Steven (8/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): Our Stay - Close to everything, clean, tidy, just basic but was perfect for our needs totally recommended Was great no complaints
- kelly (8/5): - Spacious comfortable unit. Beds were very comfortable and we all had a great night's sleep.
I had read reviews about noise from nearby student houses which did stop at midnight. I bought earplugs so was no problem.
Well stocked, had everything we needed. Great water pressure in the shower It's in a student area but we knew that when we booked it. Most of the motels in dunedin are in the same area. Just being ear plugs and you'll be fine.
Maybe the motel could provide ear plugs for guests
- Barb (8/5): - Very roomy and although older had everything we needed. A great place for its price!! Thank you
- Colleen (10/5): -
- Taze (5/5): -
- Karen (9/5): - Location
- Eloisa (5/5): A great time in a comfy bed with clean sheets - The best part of our stay was having Vanessa looking after our wellbeing and comfort regarding the problem with some young noise trouble people who were in the apartment below our.
She was wonderful dealing with the problem and getting it sorted very quickly. She is a star!!
- Rachel (8/5): - Handy location. Coffee cups were very small.
- Yun Ting (8/5): -
- Otago Belle (4/5): I feel bad, but it is what it is 😔. - The toilet had a problem flushing then started to full like it was blocked... We avoided.
The kitchen light was barely visible so I cooked tea by cellphone light.
There were 2 bedrooms and one heater to heat the whole apartment which it didn't and heater was dusty. Upstairs people were very heavy footed.
Window latches needed replacing. We had to keep the bathroom window closed during the 🚿 shower as other buildings windows could look straight in. Shower is OK but not much pressure.
No nettings on the big sliding door so that properties next door could look in and no privacy, so kept closed which made the appartment dark and dreary.
Someone took my park while visiting someone and didn't leave till late so I had to park in another spot of a vacant apartment. The driveway has very little room to maneuver a reasonably big car or ute around corners. Can be a pain to pull out onto traffic as is 2 laned one way highway and on an intersection so can be very busy . The motel is very dated in wood panelling and needs a TLC.
