• Prateek (3/5): Need to do better. - I liked they changed the towel and gave new soap on second day. The block of rooms and room inside had dusty smell, looks like it wasn't maintained properly. And the bathrooms were dirty, not cleaned on regular basis, in the morning I had to go use the fuel station toilets. AC inside needs maintenance.

• Tane (6/5): OK for the prcie and a ond night bed only, Hotel attached was good - Friendly Staff, Shortys Hotel (next door part of complex) was great, food was great and beer cheap and good. Nice venue. Romm was reasonably clean, Ok for a one night stay Very run down, and "messy " external appearance, inside clean and functional, but older. Basically, just a room, room was clean and bed comfortable and linen all OK. Got a little noisy with other guests using kitchen and shared bathrooms at all hours and also in and out for cigarette breaks.

• Paul (6/5): Basic, but clean and cheap, with good meals on offer in the bistro - Suited our needs for a clean, low-cost room for one night. The room was basic but clean, and the bed was comfortable. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and the pub served good meals I'm not a fan of shared bathrooms, but we knew what we were booking, so this isn't a complaint. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. The shared kitchen facilities were dated and not very appealing, but as we were only staying one night it wasn't an issue for us.

• Sugirth (8/5): Convenient location, authentic Jaffna food, relaxing atmosphere. - Close to station, market and city center. The food was brilliant. Absolutely delicious and worth it. The authentic Jaffna palette was justified. Hats off to the kitchen staff. The buffet sped was fantastic. The staff in general were very polite and helpful. The pool had lots of broken tiles. When our family used it, the children got multiple cuts and bruises from the broken tiles. Not suitable for small children. We were overcharged by USD 100/- for the accommodation due to clerical error. However, because we checked our bills, we informed them and they rectified the matter.

Was the only place in our 12day holiday that we had to do that.

Only place we had to pay a deposit for the key in all our 12 days of travel and bookings. This delayed our departure time. Room itself was clean. Whole place needs a womans touch!!

The staff who we spoke to were lovely, that’s the only good thing about this motel We found a syringe in the bathroom vents, the whole place smelt like what you could imagine. We were out of there within 10 minutes.
• Pogai Sanayeh (6/5): Affordable Short Stay - Although the hotel appears to be on the older side, our room was clean, and it was mostly used for us to just sleep at night as we had attended to our family holiday venue nearby most of the time we were there. Our room had aircon and the simple necessities needed for your short stay and very affordable. Our toilet seemed to leak a bit.

• Adam (1/5): Disappointed and disgraceful, I’m telling everyone I know to avoid the place like the plague - I got eaten alive by bed bugs and I’m still trying to recover from the itching, absolutely disgusting 🤢 should be closed down until you freshen up the place, the toilet paper ran out in both toilets and never got replaced , the shared kitchen was so filthy and the microwave was so dirty and disgusting, the room stank so bad and the aircon was growing furry mould , I had to a night earlier as I couldn’t take it anymore Everything was filthy and honestly it should be shut down absolutely horrendous

I had to air the rooms na leave for 3 hours to try and get rid of the smell. There was not even a bottle of water in the fridge just a very small carton of milk . The fridge was rusty on the inside. The heating didn’t work only the cooling

• HarrisonOfAotearoa (3/5): Fine, but virtually no sleep from bad neighbours - Location was convenient for us and check-in was generously smooth. Price was very reasonable for what was offered. A couple was arguing at a notoriously loud volume all night from midnight until leaving at 8am. We were unable to sleep for the majority of the night, and it seems management were not present on site to rectify the situation. Our Sundays were awful as a result from having had virtually no sleep at all. The bed was also not comfortable at all, meaning that any sleep that was had wasn't particularly good.

Room was good for the price, was quiet considering there was a pub next door, check in and out process was quick and smooth. Could have used a power board or the likes so multiple things could have been charged or used at once.

The bathroom light didn't work, the room stank like sewerage, the bathroom looked dirty with soap scum down the tiles in shower - we didn't have a shower there because it was so dirty looking, there were cockroaches, the bed had springs sticking in to us while trying to sleep, the toilet paper wasn't a fresh roll.

Upstairs shared kitchen facilities were a bit ordinary and poorly provisioned with kitchen utensils and some items were not clean. It wasn't a big problem as we had dinner at the pub but we were a bit put off to do breakfast in that kitchen area. We were mainly attracted to the room value at reasonable cost. Overall a good stay. As above.
