- Lynne (10/5): Don’t hesitate, it’s fabulous - A fantastic find! We stayed in the delux room at the back with a private entrance- fabulous shower room! The staff were super friendly, we were offered a complimentary drink - given half a carafe of wine. We didn’t have dinner but complimentary breakfast served 8-10am was appreciated. If ever needing a hotel close to Athens airport I would choose this one again.

- Patricia (10/5): We loved it! - So lovely! A great contrast to the city. It was the best place ever to wind down from our month visiting the Cyclades islands. We were taken care of and could mentally prepare to return home. They fed us a traditional Greek dinner on the veranda with the other guests. The property is very convenient to the airport (which also means you can hear the planes coming and going🤷🏻♀️)and they have a taxi service they work with. It was all stress free. So beautiful!

The hosts served us a dinner for a minimal charge which was well worth it. Nothing like a home cooked Greek meal on our last night. They even made the night special by having a small cake for our friends 30th birthday. I will definitely book this house again in the future! Nothing! We LOVED everything!

- Sally (8/5): Varaba Country House - under the shadow of Athens Airport - Owner was lovely and cooked a beautiful meal for us at 21 euros per person. Room was spacious and has a good ensuite. We actually liked the remote locality of the house. But note, the B and B is located literally on the runway at Athens Airport but it is a long and convoluted way to the airport from the accommodation. A taxi was ordered and it cost 22 euros for the ten minute ride to the airport. We came off a ferry in Piraeus and it was an easy transition to the airport line. We got off a station before the airport (closer to the accommodation) and a car was organised by the house at a cost of 17 euros.

And yet... it's next to the airport! so almost senseless: why do they invest so much in making it such a gem? Didn't get the answer, but was a rare pleasure to get there tired after a long and torturous travel, have a lovely, elegant, pleasantly served dinner, go to sleep for 8 hours straight, and... then leave for the next flight! that was the only sorry aspect. nothing. was really perfect. Only minus is there is no reason to get there unless you need a hotel close to airport.

- Vicki (10/5): Peaceful country guest house-loved it - Some may say the location is inconvenient but for us it was perfect. We had a late arrival (1:15 am) and arranged for their driver to pick us up and check us in to the room. It was close to the airport but @2.5 km out of town. Outdoors we could hear the planes but not in our room. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great.

- Heather (10/5): Amazing hospitality and so convenient to airport. - I loved the attention to detail, quality furnishings, country comfort, and most of all, the genuine hospitality of our hostess, Nikolia. Also enjoyed an AMAZING dinner by the fireplace with fellow guests, then went to sleep early to catch my early flight the next day. I am big fan of the horsies in the distance, and the house cat Habibi 🥰. The proximity to the airport was ideal and the taxi driver Vaios, that Nikolia recommended, was amazing. I genuinely cannot think of any airport stopover that has ever been so warm, welcoming and comfortable. All of the other positive reviews are spot on.
