Meeting us roadside to welcome us and usher us to the breathtaking property to the twice a day room service (cleaning- refreshing- leaving water and dessert) one cannot help but fall in love here. The pool is stunning as it over looks the cliffs of Santorini and the rooms are generous and comfortable. The best place!

The welcome drinks were tasty, and the hotel manager was among the most attentive hosts we’ve ever met. He even remembered that we had an early flight and kindly arranged breakfast for us to take along. Our room was absolutely stunning—spotlessly clean, beautifully designed in a fresh white aesthetic, and filled with endless amenities. The views and location was breathtaking from every angle. The staff went above and beyond as well, providing impeccable service whether at breakfast or by the pool. Our room was refreshed daily, always stocked and spotless, which added to the feeling of luxury and care. Out of the six islands we visited in Greece, with stays in several five-star hotels, this property stood out as the one that truly lived up to its stars. We will definitely return and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Greece—it was a highlight of our trip!

The views were amazing, the rooms were beautiful and the staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is excellent. Every time we left they cleaned our room and restocked our fridge. They are constantly making sure everything at the property is clean and fresh. Well worth every penny! What you see on website is exactly how it appears in person. Beds were very comfortable. Location is excellent right in heart of oia and away from all the chaos of the cruise tours. Highly recommend!

You are able to walk onto the main shopping pathway on Oia from the property. The hotel is very private and has magnificent views. We were treated to a very nice room upgrade at no charge. Breakfast is served on a gorgeous patio overlooking the sea and the caldera where you can also enjoy the sunset. Wonderful!

michael (10/5): Beautiful Santorini - This place is amazing. It is a boutique hotel set into the cliffs just off the walking street of Oia. The service is the best. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. They have a great rooftop restaurant/Bar with panoramic views of the Caldera and even the sunset. The rooms are large and the Infinity pool is amazing and has a cabana bar. This property is part of 4 properties so you can visit the other properties which we utilized. They all have great restaurants. They have complimentary shuttle to the other properties. We look forward to returning.

John and Michael are the best hotel hosts we have ever experienced by far. They answered all of our questions, gave amazing recommendations, and ensured that our stay within and out of the resort was perfect. The entire property, as well as our room was beyond 5 star quality. All of their food and drinks were unbelievable, the views from their breakfast, restaurant, and pool were breathtaking. I can’t wait to come back to Santorini and to stay here again.

Catherine (10/5): Perfect! - Stayed at this fabulous little hotel as part of my husband’s month-long 65th birthday trip. The only problem is that none of the other hotels on our trip could compare. Not even close. From the pickup at the airport to our final farewells we were incredibly impressed. So many thoughtful touches. Welcome drinks, fruit by the pool, evening sweets and more. I’d be hard pressed to stay anywhere else on Santorini.

Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing hotel but poor service in restaurant - Hotel room is spotlessly clean, great view for sunset, prime location in Oia city centre, reception staff are extremely helpful. It’s definitely a great hotel in Oia. The hotel manager Eleftheria and all hotel staff are amazing. However, the Verandah restaurant located inside the hotel is literally disappointing!!! The service is way below standard. First, our reservation was ignored. We made a prior reservation requesting a nice table overlooking sunset for dinner. Nevertheless, when we arrived in the restaurant, no “reserved table” could be found. We were a bit disappointed already. Second, the attitude of the waitress Stella is bad. When we ordered food, her attitude was not welcoming and had no smile. Her attitude made us have a bad feeling in the overall dining experience. When it came to the critical moment for sunset, she came to us for ordering food. Afterwards, the sunset had totally gone. We were deeply disappointed again! Third, we had a strong feeling of being disrespected by the restaurant staff, in particular the manager & Stella. In the evening, it was unexpectedly windy and cold after the sunset. I was freezing and asked the staff if it is possible to switch on the outdoor gas stove next to our table. The staff said ok but it turned out all other tables placed a gas stove next to them except our table. We asked for help, but the restaurant manager or Stella are not helping but blaming we should wait them to fix the broken gas stove. (?)

Elise (10/5): - Very hard to find this property if you are driving yourself (not on google maps), BUT once we found it all that was immediately forgotten. This is the one of the most unique and beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, Salmone (an employee who wears many hats at the property) carried all our bags in and was at our service for the rest of our stay. Freedom, the manager, was so helpful and lovely. ALL of the staff is impeccable and at hand any moment of the day for any request, large or small. Little things, like the free mini bar (which they magically restocked every time we took anything to eat or drink) to the lovely straw hats they left on our pillows the first night, every detail was perfectly executed. And they never expected tips. Our room (number 8) was a white washed heavenly cave with a private lounging area right next to the pool and pool bar. The included breakfast was amongst the best we've ever had. The greek scrambled eggs with tomato, feta and sausage were outstanding; served either in your room overlooking the stunning Caldera or at the cocktail/dining area on the roof of the hotel. You walk out of the hotel and you are in middle of the famous Oia pedestrian street with wonderful shops and restaurants at every turn. And the view, the view, the view!!! I could go on and on but this hotel is truly amongst the best run boutique properties we have every stayed in and we travel a LOT. Simply PERFECT. Thank you to all the marvelous staff.
Tina (10/5): - We stayed at the Canaves Oia Sunday suites. The location is good and everything was walkable from the hotel. It had a gorgeous water view and the town view. The only view that you won’t get from here is the sunset from the Amoudai bay. If this is important to you then this may not be the place for you but we really loved our stay here. The service was exceptional and staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Phoebe (10/5): Exceptional hotel. - I spent 4 days searching for a hotel in Santorini. It was very difficult to identify I good hotel on line as there were very many option and they all looked good on photos. I finally decided to settle with the canaves ioa sunday suite and it was the best decision that I made. When we arrived we were welcomed with a nice bottle of good wine. They serves snacks around tea time for free and the mini bar in the room is free and refilled daily. Breakfast was lovely, a lot of options . The location is perfect, just in the centre of Oia close to a lot of tourist attractions and shops . From the hotel you can view the caldera and has a beautiful view of sunset , the rooms were out of this world, clean , all white and pure perfection . The view was breathing and the staff were amazing. I visited Fira for a day but I much preferred Oia.

Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything about this property was perfect. I have no negative things to say. Staff was helpful and extremely friendly. The room was nothing short of amazing. I am very particular about my hotels. There was absolutely nothing I could think of that would have made this stay better.
William (10/5): - I have never have such a great experience at a hotel. The customer service is superb, it is like if you have a person to take care of you all day. They come and leave treats at your room during the day. If you go out they come in and straighten anything out off place. You never see them, so the atmosphere is very private, but they are always around taking care of you. The hotel manager even helps us recover my husbands phone which get dropped in an Uber in Athens. A very out of this world experience and superb costumer service. Will absolutely recommend this hotel.

robert a (10/5): one of a kind!!! - Wow! All I can say is wow! This hotel should be 6 stars!!! They are only 4 because they r too small for a spa and gym, but you can visit their sister property for that! The rooms r big clean and white. The views are the best I’ve ever seen! And the service takes it above and beyond!! Every single need is met and exceeded.. Louisa the GM is exceptional! Must go and must stay! I will be back for sure..

Leila (10/5): Outstanding hotel! - Beautiful hotel with unbeatable views (360 views, including unobstructed views of the famous Santorini sunset), impeccable rooms, and most importantly, top notch hospitality. What makes this place so special beyond the views and buildout is the amazing staff that works here. Great attention to detail, they remember our preferences, and go out of their way to make you feel at home, and ensure that you enjoy your time in Santorini. Diane (10/5): - This was my third visit to Santorini and I have enjoyed stays at several first class hotels including Hotel Katikies and Chromata. Yet, the Team at Canaves Oia Sunday Suites, have somehow raised the bar even higher! The property itself has an enviable position in the heart of Oia, with stunning views over the Caldera and of the sun sinking beautifully into the horizon. My suite, just like the entire hotel, was beautifully appointed and dotted with expertly placed and touchingly thoughtful extras. Without exception, every member of the Sunday Suites Team clearly takes great pride and enjoyment in looking after their Guests. Thank you All for making my stay so enjoyable and memorable.
Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent staff and amazing experience - My wife and I stayed here for our Baby Moon and we could not have picked a better place! Our experience was excellent because of the top notch staff that made our stay so welcoming and personal. The property is very intimate with only around 8 guest rooms total, so you feel like you’re in a secluded/romantic place but still close to shops and restaurants at the Oia pedestrian walkway right outside the hotel. The views from the property are to die for! The staff went above and beyond for us as we were affected by a strike that grounded all ferries in Greece. They helped us find accommodations for the time we were affected and constantly monitored the situation to keep us informed. We will definitely be returning back here!

Andrea (10/5): Canaves Oia Sunday Suites is BEYOND 5 Stars - We were not only surprised at the beauty of Santorini, but staying at this hotel went well beyond our expectations. You have really your own "staff" while staying here, you are pampered with what seems like your own chef, bartender, pool staff and housekeepers. They clean your room twice a day, they have fresh fruit in your room, waters, wine, extra towels, flip flops, slippers, robes, they list goes on and on. The view is incredible, they arrange every excursion you could possibly want. The room as amazing and you have your own terrace. I literally cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. You will not be disappointed!

Jenna (10/5): Best hotel in the world! - One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The hotel is a small boutique hotel with great flow. Had many areas to flow around and hang and see the different vantage points. Only 8 rooms but the rooms are massive, and have a santorini feel to it. I also stayed at Chromata but Sunday Suites blew it out of the water! This hotel is 10/10. It's so peaceful here. I will defiantly come back!
Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel with extremely helpful staff - I ended up to this hotel after the hotel booked through Expedia was full. Though I had to spend one hour on the phone with Expedia staff to find a new hotel, my stay at Sunday Suites compensated the wait. Located in a very convenient location in Oia (not too far from the sunset spot, but in a less crowded area), the hotel offers a unique experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the view of the Caldera is breathtaking. Though these characteristics may be common to many hotels in Oia, Sunday Suites was also unique because of the staff. Having not planned anything about my stay in Santorini, the staff were very helpful in offering good suggestions for dining, places to visit, and also arranging for pick-up and rental cars.
Thomas (10/5): The best hotel experience i've ever had. - We found Sunday Suites on Hotels.com after looking extensively. Never traveled to Santorini before and were going to surprise friends at their wedding they were eloping for. They were staying at the Adronis Boutiques that ranges toward $2,000 a night. Almost got a room there, when my girlfriend talked sense into me. We found Sunday Suites that ended up being about 100 yards from the Adronis. It has only been opened for 5 months and is spectacular. They upgraded our room for free. The staff was absolutely incredible. The pool was quite and the hotel is small with only 8 rooms so you felt completely comfortable. The main walk way with all the shops and restaurants is right outside the hotel but once you step foot in the hotel it's so quite. The view is just amazing. Honestly, it was the best hotel experience i've ever had.
