• Brian (7/5): Don’t get the breakfast option - Hotel was nice Breakfast - the correspondence from Booking.com said breakfast was until 11am. It closed at 10am so we missed it on the first day. On the second day breakfast wasn’t available. On the 3rd day they were open but the vouchers were only worth $10 each. So for $60 we got 2 x $10 dollar vouchers. From our room you could hear the lift constantly.

• Cadarrius (1/5): I wouldn’t recommend staying here. - Nothing. The doors were out of service upon arrival. The bar / bistro were unavailable the entire weekend. The staff was not present on several instances. Overall it wasn’t a good stay. Parking was also not ideal. I did get lucky and found street parking in front of the hotel nightly.

Couldn't close the blind (or it didn't extend fully) exposing our vanity area. We were on the first floor. Not so cool. Water glasses on vanity were not clean (gross). When we arrived, we were told the restaurant closes at 6:00. Made sense since it appeared occupancy was low to non-existent. We were going out for ribs anyway, but it made for kind of weird vibe.

The bathroom in our room smelled of marijuania and there were no bottled waters in the room. Very nice hotel. We have stayed here several times in the past and were very well pleased. It seemed to be under new management. I did not see any of the people that I have met in previous stays. Not bad but not what we have been accustomed to in the past stays.

• Kayla (4/5): - Staff was accommodating and friendly. Hotel looks as if it is being modernized just like the rest of Memphis and kudos to them. The rooms were very clean, I would recommend that you bring socks or slippers to wear on the floor because the carpet is dirty from general traffic. The queen bed view suite smelled of grease from the kitchen. Anytime they were cooking the smell of the fryers or anything that was being prepared wafted through the room. The thermostat light was extremely old for the model and would not turn off. When I went down to the front desk to ask somebody to come up and assist us with this they brought up a whole new thermostat face and changed it out. I'm glad the staff was attentive but this tells me that the hotel staff knows that this is a problem in the rooms and they do not bother to change these until the guest complains. There is no parking or parking vouchers for the hotel. You have to use street parking or their parking garages. The problem with this every time you move your car, it's going to cost you $17. The dining room is only open during specific hours so if you want after hours food you're going to have to doordash. This room would have been wonderful at $100 or $150 a night but my stay was nearly $500 and it was definitely not worth that for two nights.

We saw a show at FedEx Forum and I always try to get hotels within walking distance and this location was perfect.

• GrandTour18785379769 (4/5): Misrepresentation of historical hotel that is only 10 years old, modern and understaffed. - First I booked this o the night of our arrival through Booking.com and received the room rate at a deep discount. We paid less than $20 for parking next door which was next to but unattached to the boutique hotel. We wanted to try it out bcz it stated it was a 4 star historic hotel. We parked and walked to the hotel with no luggage hoping to grab a language cart. All doors to the hotel were locked. It was 7:30pm! No one was at the front desk and the phone number given online was a non working number. Mind you my debit card was already charged for the room, that I had booked less than 2 hours prior to arrival. We were approached by several homeless men as we tried to get into any hotel main floor entrance. All doors were locked. Cafe/bar was closed at 7:30 on. A Saturday summer evening on prior to Labor Day. People were riding their bikes and skateboards in and out off the parking garage which is not secure from public walking in and out next to the parking garage gates but has locks and difficult pay through apps and then call in your code to be able to open the pedestrian doors and car gates. Felt very unsafe to leave car there. High violent crime rate along with thefts and mugging are also rampant in the area. Found this out afterwards. We had wanted to tour Beale St but by the time we got into the hotel and our things in our room it was 10pm and we had to leave early the next day to continue on my business trip. My husband and I didn’t feel safe to go out in the local area at night with our experiences just trying to get inside the hotel. Once we were in the facade is beautiful. Service not so good. Room was clean and pretty but very small. Small dorm style frig (no freezer space) was not turned on and would not be cold by the time we left so we asked to change rooms. Also bathroom tile cracked and one set of robes and slippers missing from room. We were given another room unpin our insistence bcz at first the front desk guy who finally returned to front desk and unlocked front door to let us in told us the frig would be cold in a few minutes. Ummmm no that’s not how they work, so he changed out room and room was nicer though still small, no broken tile but zero robes and slippers in the room this time.no worries but it was supposed to be there and advertised as part of the whole 4 star experience. Room is furnished nicely and very modern. Super small. I asked about historical hotel details. It was never a historical hotel. At all. It is a remodeled 10 year old hotel in a historical print shop building. The entire inside is modern and supposedly done in a French style, but not really. Cafe and bar closed. No one on site except one Indian man at front desk who couldn’t speak good English nor spell. I asked him to change my email after I wrote it out for him so that it was correct for my receipt. He didn’t want to be bothered and refused to correct it. Just completely misadvertised and I wished I had paid the extra $30 to stay at The Peabody which is an actual historical hotel nearby. Beds were nice and we slept well once we got settled into the room. Cost wasn’t an issue as much as the misadvertising, poor service and safety issues outside a locked unstaffed hotel in what turned out to be a crime ridden part of town. Not the same place from when I visited this same street 30 years ago and had a fantastic time back then. Sadly Not recommended at this time. Hopefully some of these issues will be addressed for a better future experience.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Stay away from this area in Memphis - The gentleman that checked us in barely said 5 words to me and didn't tell me any information about parking or the hotel until I asked. Also no luggage racks so we had to make two trips to get all our stuff to the room, and the parking garage is not easy to get to (you have to walk outside and around the hotel to get to it). The room was just ok- tub drain was clogged so we had to wait about 30 mins between showers for the water to fully drain out, cracks in the grout so water is definitely seeping in, also needs caulking around tub and floor tiles, also there was a large opening under the sink that seemed to go under the floor, pillows were also horrible!! The area is also extremely run down and does not feel safe with homeless yelling at you & your kids.

We had to call security to get the gate to open.

I didn’t sleep for three days. The area is very derelict. Boarded up buildings all around. Very uncomfortable feeling when walking outside to the car. No parking attached, street or a structure next door.
• Carl (8/5): - Nice clean room, friendly service. Very basic breakfast but fine. Easy parking next door. All the main bits of Memphis within walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The only disappointment was the hotel bar, which looks really nice and is fully lit up was not open. A shame a it would have been good to get a drink at the end of the day at the hotel.

• Judy (2/5): So disappointed! - Deception on the listing! Room was dirty! No restaurant or bar. View was an old building all boarded up. Listing shows a beautiful hotel with grand events & amenities. It was more like a place for drug heads & prostitution. Never book this place!!!!
• Sabrina (7/5): Ok. - Nothing stood out. The thermostat had a lock. It was too hot for me! Wouldn’t stay again for that reason.
• Cathy (7/5): The room was OK but we didn’t like getting into the hotel - The room was larger than we expected We didn’t like having to park in the parking deck and walk to the hotel, one of us in the party has problems walking, and it was difficult for her.
• Taylor (8/5): - Overall the hotel was very nice. Great location downtown with restaurants and their minor league baseball stadium in walking distance. The hotel's restaurant was closed during our stay, but the staff was great.

• Paul (5/5): Could of been higher if I didn’t get charged 100 dollars without my consent - Boutique style and continental breakfast The receptionist charged my debit card 100 dollars at check in with no mention of this for incidentals, which I’m pretty sure is illegal to do, I would have put this on my credit card had I have been told so it didn’t take 15 days to go back on my account. I had to chase multiple times for this and was without that money for the rest of my vacation. There is also a musty smell on the 4th floor and in the rooms

• Peter (8/5): Memphis stopover - Restaurant and bar closed due to “renovation”. Good location and desk staff were excellent. Sadly the whole of Memphis is in a bad state of repair.
• Dee Anne (8/5): It was okay but no breakfast. - It was good but there was zero breakfast except muffins and juice. Not really acceptable with the price. Hard to park but room was nice, clean and comfortable!

• Victoria (10/5): Fabulous Hotel - This hotel is fabulous. Central downtown location that allows you to walk to many attractions. Room was clean and very tidy. Quiet rooms and nice windows for viewing people walking to work and starting their day. Hotel offered complimentary coffee and breakfast too. I would stay at this location again in the future. Parking and food are available right next door which are both convenient and handy too.

• Eriidina (8/5): - The pictures of this hotel are significantly better than how the hotel actually looks. It’s a nice hotel overall but some areas are dated and need fresh paint. When I stayed here I was told the bar/restaurant was being renovated so it would be only open for the continental breakfast. The “breakfast” consisted of stale danishes, muffins, juice, granola and yogurt. No serving utensils and an extremely limited amount. Once the single platefuls were gone, they stated that was all they had, regardless of how many guests they had. Parking was in a deck next door and was an inconvenience because you have to call or text the company to be let out of the gate each time you had to exit. Overall it’s a decent hotel and I would stay here again only for 1 or 2 days.

• Pennie (10/5): Downtown Memphis - I liked everything. Parking to check-in was a little dicey, but I rarely get a hotel in downtown anywhere because of parking issues, but I wanted to be close enough to Beale St to walk. The cost of overnight parking.
• Donsanelle (8/5): Just Fun - Did not like the no parking for the hotel. There is a parking space right beside location.
