- CHRIS (10/5): Excellent location and Great Service - Anne was friendly and helped us find a nice restaurant nearby for dinner. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks Anne!
- Alison (10/5): - Anne was a very welcoming host. She gave us excellent advice about a music night in the local pub which was wonderful. The breakfast was perfect and the room was spotlessly clean. I would definitely love to return.
- Catina (10/5): - Anne and Martin have an amazing home and abundant warmth and hospitality. Anne is the gift of hospitality. Anne realized how tired we were from being up all night encouraged us to take a rest. The in. Was so calm and cozy. Anne also spent time with us and encouraged us to see some sights we have never known about and what a blessing that advice was. She sat with us at breakfast and spent time getting to know us and learn about our lives and our interests. Anne went way above and beyond when I realized I left some important itemsnat her home and even drove to meet us to retrieve those items. Truly, an act of kindness and care. We will not forget our stay and would love to come back again and spend even more time next time.
- Nancy (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic place to stay..wish i booked for more than one day. Ann our hostess was so very helpful. We are on a genealogy trip and she had some great ideas which we gladly accepted and were.most helpful. The property is lovely. Breakfast plentiful.

- Ted (10/5): - Hostess is sweet and helpful. The area is semi rural and quiet. It's less than a mile to shops and dining. Easy to walk. Lots of parking which is great for Ireland. There is a sitting room to read, play games or chat.
- Gerald (10/5): - The three of us had a delightful one-night stay at Whitehorn Lodge. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is conveniently located to explore Ballina and Killaloe.
- Beverly (10/5): - Scartlea Cottage is in a beautiful natural setting only minutes from Killarney and the many wonderful sights around Muckross House. Walks along the lane leading to the cottage saw cows, deer and numerous birds among the majestic trees.
- Mensur (10/5): - great experience
- Anne (10/5): - Extremely clean and comfortable. Irish hospitality at its best- hostess really helpful, Will return!!
- Tom (10/5): - The property was very comfortable and spacious. Anne was an excellent host, very friendly and informative.
Expedia somehow double booked us for our second night so we had to leave after only one night. At the time of writing this review they still have not replied to my 3 emails. No problem with the property, just Expedia's customer service.
- Ken&Teri (10/5): - Anne is a wonderful host who really wants you to get the most out of your visit to Killaloe/Ballina. As soon as she heard that I was researching my ancestry in the area, she put me in touch with a local lady that may be able to give me some answers. The house is beautiful. Parking is great and the home is well within walking range of downtown for a couple of young seniors like us. Highly recommended!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great property - We had the pleasure to stay at this property for four nights in August. As my wife is in a wheelchair it was a welcome relief to find accommodation that was fully wheelchair user friendly some of the larger hotels could learn from Anne the host.
Every thing from breakfast to help finding dinning on a night was excellent.
Many thanks to Anne for a great stay
