- Armin (10/5): Ein Paradies der Ruhe inmitten der Natur und dennoch gut angebunden! - Herzlicher Empfang durch Kathy mit detaillierter Einweisung und liebevollen Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt. Sie war jederzeit erreichbar und über das Maß hinaus hilfsbereit! Auch bei einem kleinem Notfall stand sie uns proaktiv hilfsbereit zur Seite. Ganz herzlichen Dank dafür. Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten, mit allem ausgestattet und einem traumhaften Weitblick über die False Bay. Betonen muss man sicherlich den wunderschönen und weitläufigen Garten mit einer Vielzahl von verschieden Vogelarten direkt vom Balkon aus zu beobachten. Außerdem war es für uns ein Ritual, das Stachelschwein jeden Abend beim Fressen unter unserem Appartement zu beobachten. Wer Ruhe und Natur schätzt, ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben! Nichts
- Andreas (10/5): Phantastischer Meerblick in stilvoll eingerichtetem Apartment - Sehr schön gelegenes Apartment (im Haus der Besitzer, aber die gelegentlichen Stimmen durch eine Verbindungstür stören gar nicht). Sehr ruhig, schöne Natur vor dem Haus, phantastischer Meerblick, sehr bequeme Betten, schön und stilvoll eingerichtet, sehr sympathischer Empfang. Kommen gerne wieder. Eigentlich nichts.

I might just say in Oder to safe water there should me more crockery. Unfortunately we did not see the porcupines.I would recommend Avian Leasure to anybody more dishes

- Stephanie (10/5): Peaceful retreat with the most beautiful view - Avian Leisure has the most wonderful views of the ocean from both the spaciois master bedroom and living room, which walks out on the deck. It is well equiped, leaving you with even the possibility to do some baking. Crispy white, good quality linen compliments the rest of the furnishings. Many different birds and a turtle visited the natural fynbos garden during our stay.It is within just a few minute's drive of the famous penguin colony, and a little bit further to the Red Dumpling (with excellent Asian cuisine) and other good restaurants and small shops. Kathy received us friendly, explained everything we needed to know and shared good information about the area. It did not bother us, but persons who are dependent on good cellphone reception might run into problems during their stay.
- Ben (8/5): If I ever go back, I will try and book the apartment again. - The view over False Bay was superb, and the birds in the garden were a nice start to my birding holiday. This is personal, but for my purposes the location was on the wrong side of Cape Town, having to travel through the city for most of my excursions to photograph birds.
- Ian (9/5): Fabulous views - Gorgeous views of the sea and mountains beyond. The owner left us some butternut squash to put out for a porcupine. The garden was lit at night giving us good look at porci. At the top of a steep hill that my husband found hard to walk up. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best so our planned activities were cancelled, so we re unable to really say a lot more.
- Ingo (10/5): Truely excellent birder friendly accomodation. Great for self-catering. - Shearwater apartment is simply amazing. Spaceous, comfortable and very well equipped for self-catering. A balcony with a view over False Bay that is impossible to beat. Bird feeder in the garden with a wide variety of fynbos birds to watch from close distance. Everything is smooth and well organized, Kathy is a perfect host. Nothing, this is my favorite place in the Western Cape (and beyond).
