• du Preez (7/5): Would have been memorable if they wanted to go the extra mile... - Went there beforehand and asked the staff to do something special for a honeymoon night and they refused. Stating they stopped doing it as 'roses are hard to come by'. I could literally walk across the road and buy a bunch... Anyway. Did same at a Blouberg Hotel a while ago, and at no extra cost there were petals in the room, chocolates, bubbly and treats.

• Marc (8/5): - The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were good. It was great being right on the marina. Parking was plentiful and convenient. We appreciated being able to take advantage of the Scuba intro deal. We were right on the pool deck and it was noisy in the evenings - loud music was being played even when no one was there. Very minor: there was a couple of bad smells that we briefly experienced in our room and the safe was broken. The "cocktail lounge" only serves premix.

• Drikie (6/5): Lovely hotel in Gordon's Bay waterfront - Beautiful facilities in waterfront environment. Lovely decor. The staff was very unfriendly from check-in to checkout. At breakfast we were once again met by a host of unfriendly waiters and assistants at the breakfast buffet. I would suggest you give them training in hospitality and customer service.

• Conny (7/5): - Location is great. The porter and spa staff are very friendly. Both our basins had big cracks in them. Hotel needs TLC. Only one lift worked and super slow 😂 so we only used the stairs.

• Bronwen (7/5): Not good for special occasions - It was clean and we really enjoyed the buffet breakfast with live piano player. We really wanted a romantic night to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and asked for the best room available. However the room was very plain, the bed and pillows very uncomfortable and the TVs very old and crackly. We also wanted to order room service but there was very limited options forcing us to go downstairs to eat in the dining hall. We asked if there was anything that the hotel could offer to make the room special eg: rose petals or wine. They said the only thing they could offer was a bottle of champagne for an extra R400! When I asked if I could put some balloons in the room I was told they would do it but if anything happened to them its not their responsibility. Overall we just felt the staff couldn't care less about making our experience special. We wouldn't come back or recommend the hotel to anyone for a special occasion.

• MonBook68 (7/5): Great stay, on the beach - The staff were helpful and friendly, the views are good, buffet breakfast is great, normal menu is bit pricey, but the hotel has an art gallery great gym, pool outside and undercover parking which is great. We booked a seaview room but when we got there it was facing to houses not beach, they say you have to call to confirm. But on the second day we moved to a twin room with seawview which was fab! There where very naoisy guests letting their kods run acreaming down the halls.

Most seating arrangements were for 4 or more people. The underground parking is not well lit and seems unsafe.

• Lauren (9/5): Wonderful Stay with Great Amenities - The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. We especially appreciated that everything was accessible, allowing us full use of all the facilities. The layout was easy to navigate, and clear signage made it simple to find exactly what we were looking for. Overall, a very enjoyable and convenient stay. Unfortunately, we experienced issues with the drainage. In the downstairs bathroom, the water would not drain properly at all, and in the upstairs bathroom, it took the entire night for the water to empty. This was quite inconvenient and needs attention.

Elegantly furnished room with everything you need for a weekend or vacation. Safe parking. Very good breakfast. Our room was very clean but the rest of the hotel felt like it needed someone's constant eye and more attention to detail. The stream of day visitors to the restaurant might be part of the problem.

• ZAYIM (1/5): I STILL NEED MY INVOICE WHAT A BAD ADMINISTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I stayed at this hotel during a business trip. At check-in the reception took a photocopy of my business card, which clearly includes my company name and tax number, because I requested a company invoice. At check-out they could not find the copy and took another photocopy again. I was told that the invoice would be prepared and sent by email. After returning home I sent two follow-up emails, but I have still received no response. For business travellers this is unacceptable. I provided the information twice and still could not receive a simple invoice. Very disappointing administrative service.

• Monique (8/5): - We booked 2 rooms...unit 325 was amazing....the duplex. Clean,spacious and just wonderful. Amazing views. The second unit 328 was not the greatest, the windows were broken and there were cochroaches running around later in the night. But I have stayed a few times and this is the only time we have anything negative to say.

• Morelda (10/5): You can do Better - We paid R2079 for a room for one night, that was so noisy because it was right next to the aircon room, the place was very humid and there was a stinky smell coming from either outside or swerage pypes. The room was very basic no English tea only rooiboos tea, I've been at Krystal beach before and got very very nice rooms for less then R2079 so overall I don't think it was worth the money we paid. However the staff was brilliant the lady at reception was kind, we also forgot out toothpaste we phoned ext 9 and in less then 5min there was a friendly man who brought us a small tube of paste to atleast brush our teeth. The breakfast is always lovely and the live music was unexpected but so welcoming. I didn't like the fact that the advert said Seaview but in actual fact the view was around the corner on the balcony which we could enjoy. The view was on the roof of other flats and houses from my door. The stinky smells was not pleasant at all also the room was very noisy I didn't sleep well at all. The milk in the room is not nice for a luxurious place like Krystal beach Hotel.

• Sarah (9/5): Wonderful place, perfect for a family. - Fantastic family room with 2 floors, 2 double beds and 2 bathrooms - so plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Brilliant location by the quay and beach with plenty of choice for eating out within walking distance. Safe, special place. Smelly drains was the only tiny negative.
