Guest Reviews
- Patrice (10/5): - For the value, the Henniker Motel is a good option. It is right next to Pat's Peak, and while the outer lobby smelled overwhelmingly of smoke, the front desk staff was very nice, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
- Yunfan (10/5): - The property is old but the staff really try their best to maintain a clean and comfortable place.
- Anmar (10/5): - Loved this hostel. Needed to be in the area and it is one of a handful of hostels that serve Henniker. The owner of the hostel was super nice and very friendly! He even wrote my name in my native language!! The hotel itself was very cozy. It had a perfect 'country' feel to it and I felt very safe there. Overall, a very good experience.
- Aditya (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay! Mr. Tim welcomed us warmly and was excellent in conversation, making us feel right at home. He made sure we had everything we needed and was extremely accommodating throughout our visit. The motel is also very conveniently located near New England College, which was perfect for us. We truly appreciated the hospitality and will definitely come back!
- Eddie (8/5): - Personnel.
- David (8/5): -
- Leslie M Cole (10/5): - We were very pleased. They went out of there way to help us.
- Eric (10/5): - It sgrat
- James (10/5): - I've been staying at the Henniker Hotel for many years.. Very nice owner. Always accommodating.
- James (10/5): - indoor pool
- Jessica (10/5): - Its an older motel. Room was clean. Owner was great about leaving access to the room considering we got there in the middle of the night. Area was quiet.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The front desk lady was so sweet and very polite. She was heartbroken the pool was being prepared and we had kids. We assured all was well. The kids loved running around outside and the view.
Definitely will recommend
- Heather (8/5): - Great staff very friendly and accommodating
- Colin (8/5): - Great place to stay and the staff is super nice
- Pooja (8/5): - Good overall.
- Noor ain reema (6/5): - .
- Anissa (2/5): Poor - The pool was down. No one at the reception desk including when we had to check out. Ants in the room. Gross NEVER AGAIN want my money back
- Shing (8/5): - The staff is super friendly.
Excellent location for ski.
- Annie (8/5): - Very close, walkable to Pat's peak. Warm indoor pool. Nice to have the fridge and microwave.
- joshua (10/5): - The one gentlemen that I spoke to everyday working was a great guy. You can walk to Pat's peak for skiing. For a couple of nights it does the job.
- Olivia (10/5): - About a 5 min walk to the slopes was the highlight of the stay. Great location! Clean room!
- Noreen (10/5): - So close to mountain, very friendly service!
- Konstantin (8/5): Good place to stay if you come to Pats Peak - Tim offered a room upgrade, which was pretty nice and really appreciated. The room was comfortable but not soundproof -- you can hear every word of a conversation behind the wall.
The swimming pool is always a big plus when you come with kids. This hotel is just a short walk from Pats Peak skiing area, so overall we enjoyed our stay.
- Lisa (6/5): - Staff super friendly, liked the view. Not bad for the night
- Reinaldo (10/5): - Very cozy and nice staff
- Jesse (10/5): Great weekend! - Kids had a blaat in the pool! Easy walk to Pat's Peak
- Kerry (4/5): - mold in bathroom drop ceilings fallung apart saging bed
- Sylvie (10/5): - Everything
- gordon (10/5): - This property is older and quite basic, but it is budget friendly and has a great couple of people running things.
- Gene (10/5): - Just what I wanted for the night. It's an older motel that is well maintained, clean, and quiet. Close to town, food, and sights. The price was good and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommended. I would stay there again.
- Jane (6/5): - The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean, except there was visible signs of water damage in the ceiling in the bathroom along with mold. There’s a great pancake house nearby for breakfast. My brother and his wife stayed in a bed and breakfast in town, which seemed far superior.
- Steven (10/5): - It’s quiet and clean
- Stephanie (4/5): - Henniker Motel was probably nice 30 years ago. It is in a state of disrepair in multiple areas. However, there are many things could be done to freshen and modernize quickly and inexpensively. The room was dingy and had many scuffs and dings in the walls. The mold around the shower drain was so extensive that my 15 year old teenage boy wouldn’t even shower! The door to the bathroom was falling apart, and the ceiling had multiple water leak stains. In the lobby area the guest Keurig machine was so moldy and dirty that I would assume it had never once been cleaned. The pool had mildew growing and the ceiling was literally falling down. I would absolutely never stay at Henniker Motel again.
- Barney (8/5): - Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Hotel could use some repairs
- Arkadiy (8/5): - Cozy hotel and very communicative staff. The building is on the older side but it didn't cause us any issues.
- JILL (10/5): - Nice quiet motel with a beautiful view.
- maria luisa (10/5): - Comfortable, clean, quiet and friendly
- Verified traveler (10/5): Henniker stay - Great Customer Service - nice front desk reception.
The room was clean and smelled fresh
- Sharon (10/5): - Nothing better than a peaceful country setting to relax in after being in traffic all day.
- Colin (8/5): - I have stayed here a few times now and would recommend it to anyone always clean and the owner is friendly and very helpful
- Lori (2/5): - There was no hot water to take showers. Also the beds were not comfortable and it was freezing in the room when we got there
- Ruth (10/5): Peaceful great view - Beautiful peaceful clean motel with great view and lovely staff
Right near Pats Peak and New England College
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thank you Henniker Motel!
- Sylvie (10/5): - Everything was great
- Andre (10/5): - Nice place!!
- Konstantin (8/5): Good home base if you are skiing at Pats Peak - Quick and efficient check-in and checkout. The pool is clean and fun for kids, especially in the middle of winter. Nice atmosphere and very close to Pats Peak skiing area which is important if you’re staying overnight. Negative: Water in the shower is barely tepid and takes a long time to warm up. All-in-all, however, it’s a good place to stay if you come skiing at Pats.
- JEREMY (8/5): - Nice spot right next to pats peak.
Deff gonna stay next ski trip there again.
- Pamela (4/5): - I like the convenience to Pat’s but there was no hot water not even in the sink. It made for a very cold shower and the pool was far from heated. So if you just need a place to flop this is the place. Again NO HOT WATER.
- Emily (8/5): Perfect no-frills ski weekend steps from Pats Peak - Very friendly staff, comfortable room, and less than 5 min walk to Pats Peak. Perfect for a no-frills ski weekend. The owner is extremely accommodating and helpful. Overall, highly recommend!
- Robert (10/5): Great stay! Almost ski in and out - I've been here twice now and obviously the biggest attraction is the skiing next door. But the beds are comfortable, it's clean, my youngest loved the pool, and Tim is very helpful and a nice guy. I like supporting a smaller place like this. There may be a few items that could use a paint job but it's a great value and I highly recommend it!
- Monica (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here— you can literally walk right up to the Pat’s Peak chair lift from the motel, so you can’t beat the location. Tim was so, so friendly and helpful, definitely looking forward to staying here again!
- Sharon (10/5): Autumn in Henniker - Leisure trip with my dog to relax and visit my former hometown. Very laid back.
- Kali (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting. The rooms smell of cigarettes and mold. There is visible mold and rot on the ceiling above the shower. The furniture has stains all over it. The lock to our door was broken. There were random wires running in and out of our room. The property is old, dirty and falling apart. It’s honestly criminal they charge money to stay there. I would rather sleep in my car on the side of the road before paying a penny to stay there. Beware.
- Carl (10/5): - Really good
- Gordon (8/5): - Very peaceful area.
- Abhishek (2/5): - Extremely overpriced for the quality of the property. The heating didn't work properly and I was cold through the night. No food is available on the property and options in the vicinity are very limited as well.
- Thomas (4/5): Motel needs a makeover - Shabby ski slope motel needs a do-over. Non smoking room smelled of chlorine and cigarettes. Night staff checking me in seemed like a good guy. I will skip this spot and sleep on the car next time.
- Cherilyn (8/5): - Rather outdated… but kind, helpful people, easy to get in and out, and clean. Thank you!
- Pat (8/5): - GREAT CHECK IN. VERY QUIET PLACE WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN
- Laura (10/5): - Really a nice place -- the room was very clean with all the amenities you might need. They had an indoor pool which I didn't use but looked very nice. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I'm surprised this is a one star hotel as it seemed much nicer than that but perhaps I don't fully understand the star ratings.
- Colin (6/5): - Very nice and helpful staff
- John (8/5): - This is a motel, so the property itself is pretty basic. The owner has a house on sight and was friendly / helpful. He helped us pick restuarants for breakfast and dinner. The property is VERY near a ski hill with a couple of lifts. It is very quiet and in the setting is pretty.
- Alice (6/5): - It was OK. It was a one-star motel, and I'd say that's an accurate assessment. Clean enough, some rust on bathroom baseboards. Location is not particularly appealing; I can see that it would be convenient though in the winter for skiiers. Just think it's overpriced.
- Laurie (10/5): - Relatively inexpensive place to stay during the military rally. The outside is a little rough looking due to weeds and overgrown grass, but there was a tremendous amount of rainfall this year which probably impeded any landscaping. The proprietor was very friendly and the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Will absolutely stay here next year. Great job Henniker Motel!
- Christina (10/5): - It’s so quiet and peaceful and you don’t hear any traffic!!!! That’s the absolute best part!!!!
- Lee Ellen (4/5): - Sheets were clean, and the shower took a while to heat up but once it did, that was fine as well. The room was situated right near an indoor pool, and the mold and mustiness was unbelievable. Also not relevant to the room itself, but apparently, for the delight of the guests, they had a fish tank, 1’ by 4 ‘- water 6” high - which contained to mature turtles 11 “ long, not having any room to call it a habitat. Very dis-concerning. I brought it to the attention of the manager and they said it was fine turtles like to be confined like that. I can’t imagine if they interviewed a turtle that they would want to be in solitary confinement for the last 18 years. Borderline animal abuse. Not impressed whatsoever. Would never go back.!!!!!!!!!!!! then, when I went to go have coffee at the Keurig coffee maker in the foyer, they didn’t notice that slime had built up on the inside of the reservoir, so before making my coffee, I went and cleaned it. If you’re going to serve coffee, make it safe for the consumers to drink.
- Sandra (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Quite. Room was comfortable.
- Richard (10/5): - The staff made great accommodations for my late checkin.
- Stephen (8/5): -
Property is in bad need of a update, The property is super clean and the beds are great! So, if you need a clean and confutable place at a fare rate this is the place for you.
- John (8/5): - Perfect
- Jodi (10/5): Relaxing - Very relaxing and can’t wait to come back in August for another visit!
- William (10/5): - This motel was the nicest place I have stayed in years. All the big names should go talk to Tim, the guy at the front desk and take notes. Nice place, Nice staff. I will definitely be going back to the Henniker Motel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable, Clean but a bit odd. - An old-fashioned motel, clean, has been modernized to the extent possible, relatively quiet stay. Room layout was a bit odd in that the room was located within the building overlooking the closed, indoor pool.
- Leonora (10/5): - Me and my friends stayed at the Henniker over the weekend and would highly recommend this place to others. Tim was a pleasure and the vibe was immaculate. Will definitely be coming back next ski season!
- Suzanne (8/5): - Location is great! Price is good!
- Elodie (8/5): - The hot water was a bit long to come but it was really freezing outside (-20F)
- Monica (6/5): - This motel is located at walking distance from Pats Peak ski resort. Room was outdated but clean. There is a Keurig coffee machine in the lobby unfortunately the creamers are stored at room temperature so I wouldn't bother. Snow removal from the parking lot could have been a little more thorough to avoid icy patches from forming along the perimeter of the property.
- Robert (10/5): Great location; solid value - The proprietor is very friendly and accommodating. The room was fine and the beds were comfortable. The location right next to Pats Peak is fantastic.
- Melissa (10/5): - Dog friendly. Family-oriented lodging. Very friendly owner, Tim. He is super approachable. Indoor Pool is open until 9pm.
Easy 2-min walk to Hurricane Triple Chair & Peak Chair Lifts (where the Tola Rose - italian food truck is at) at Pats Peak. You can just leave your car at the hotel lot and walk over with your gear.
- Fedor (8/5): Fine, but needs some repairs - The room was clean, no weird smells or anything, the staff was friendly and welcoming, but the whole property is in dire need of updates and repairs. Flaking, cracking, broken things everywhere. Not in any dangerous way, mind you, just uncomfortable sometimes. For example, the lock on our room wasn't opening smoothly, required juggling back and forth for a few seconds to open. For another example, the shower head bracket was broken, and the shower head was affixed to it with a hair tie.
- Konstantin (8/5): Good place to stay if you ski on Pats Peak - We had a wonderful time and overall great experience on a short family skiing trip. The bed was very comfortable, the room was basic but warm and cozy. The hotel is steps away from the skiing area of Pats Peak. Plenty of cable TV channels to choose from, including a bunch of freebees. The kid really enjoyed the indoors swimming pool, and Tim graciously allowed him to swim for an extra half-hour past the official closing time. A couple of minor suggestions: 1) Address the ant infestation in the bathroom. It did not bother us, but it may get worse in the summer. 2) It would be good to get a daily quick sweep of the room to empty trash baskets and refill toiletries.
- Elizabeth (10/5): A Great 2 Night Getaway with Nice Staff & View - Our experience at the Henniker Motel in Henniker NH was nice. We stayed for 2 nights - my husband, myself and our 14 year old. I had called a couple of times prior to our visit and Tim answered all of our questions, was pleasant to speak with and fulfilled our requests. The motel is so close and convenient to Pats Peak Ski area, we could walk over. I was able to purchase my ski lift and rental ticket at the front desk at a discount. It was quiet & clean. A bit outdated, but acceptable. Floors were more modern, laminate plank flooring (vs rugs which was great, less dusty and able to be cleaned better). Linens were professionally serviced, crisp and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. The staff (Tina) and owner (Tim) were pleasant, personable, knowledgeable and efficient. The Keurig machine in the lobby was always full and ready to use with a variety of K-Cups. Our room had a microwave, refrigerator, hot shower, plenty of room to put bathroom items, TV with a zillion channels, blow dryer. We brought food and could even take a break from skiing to come back to our room for lunch and change into dry clothes for second 1/2 of day. There are a few restaurants & stores in the small college town. Very cute and classic NH. We would love to go back to enjoy a warmer season for hiking.
- Nikki (10/5): - Quiet and comfortable stay with beautiful scenery and local trails to explore.
- Glorie Grace (10/5): - Hotel is old but is very clean and comfy. I could give it an excellent review, however rooms is not siund proof. You can hear the conversations from the
- Steven (10/5): Basic, clean, good value - This is a very simple, somewhat rustic hotel that was exactly what we needed for a one-night stay in Henniker. Check in was a breeze, the room was comfortable and it was very, very quite the night we were there. I never heard anyone else after our 9PM arrival. The bathroom could use a bit of minor maintenance (door in bad shape, discolored ceiling tiles) but it was clean and very well-stocked, along with the rest of the room. Overall, a good value for the price.
- Kelly (10/5): - First the staff are so nice and friendly. Very welcoming. Room was comfortable and clean. Shower was amazing with plenty of hot water. Quiet, no road noise or traffic. Beautiful scenery. Will definitely stay there again.
- Lainie (8/5): - This little motel serves its purpose. We’ll stay here every time we visit our son at college. Staff is amazing. They recommended restaurants and activities in the area.
- Tammy (4/5): - First, the property is out in the middle of nowhere. The place is very old, outdated. The rooms are next to nothing. Beds are not comfortable. The smell of musky and cigars can only describe the smell. Our first room had water coming up through the floor where they had recently “power washed” the floors. It was an over all huge disappointment. The price was outrageously high for a run down place to spend the night!!!! Never, ever again. We are on vacation and hoped for something much more appealing. And let’s just say, photos online are not what it appears.
- Beth (2/5): - I do not understand the rating on Expedia for this property, 4.0 of 124 reviews! Old and rundown, state of disrepair, unstaffed- had to call the owners adjacent home and the office was empty, the room door didn't lock from the outside with the key, ice maker not functioning, no phone in room, clock didn't work, loud unexplainable noises, vacant.
Lobby had 2 turtles in filthy tank, ?water temp with no a/c running. Owner should repair and finish work before renting to anyone!!
- Bo (8/5): - This motel's best days are behind it. We stayed here because they accepted pets and because it fit our schedule. The owner was very friendly and our room was clean. We would stay here again.
- Tracy (6/5): - I don’t generally like to complain about any place so I will start with the positives. Parking was easy, it felt safe, nice outdoor views, and the gentleman at the desk was very nice. It felt like a place that would’ve been OK in a third world country and it felt like I did not want to pay more than $40 for the evening when I paid close to 200. This place has seen better days. I’m sure it’s great in the winter time when you just want to crash after a day of skiing.
- Ruth (10/5): - Clean room and friendly owner
- THzwP (10/5): - Realy a nice place!
- Keith (8/5): - It's quiet, and the front office staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and spacious but showed its age in some places. The property is being renovated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fine, but no hot water. - It’s between seasons, so we were the only guests. Room was adequate: very clean, but showed signs of age. Tina, who checked us in, was very friendly and welcoming. The only real complaint was we had no hot water. This was OK in the evening for washing my face and brushing teeth, but we let the water run for a good 10 minutes in the morning and it never warmed up. This resulted in us skipping showers. Clearly something wasn’t working right. Still, the motel was conveniently located for where we needed to be and
- Alice (10/5): - The room is very nice, just in side the building, very comfortable. The heating was just right. Thankful for service, that we received here. Also, the hotel is close to the New England college, which is the reason we are here for your with our granddtr. Thank You very much for everything.
- Christine (8/5): - The proximity to Pat's Peak was amazing, we walked over to ski for the day. The owner was kind and welcoming. The indoor pool was freezing, and the rooms were tired, but they were clean and the hotel served it's purpose, which was to save us from a drive home after a day on the slopes. Thank you.
- Bradley (10/5): - It is right next to a ski resort! Easy walk to the slopes without having to drive. Owner was very accommodating and friendly!
- Andrew (10/5): Can’t wait to return - Kind and attentive staff, comfortable accommodations with an indoor pool, wonderful location - walkable to the ski lifts. Definitely will be back!
- Wendy (10/5): - Friendly and early check in
Clean and comfortable room
