Le propriétaire est très accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et copieux. Rien à signaler. La seule contrainte est qu'il faut indiquer l'heure d'arrivée assez tôt dans la journée.

• B9 (10/5): Una perla nel Salento - Ho scelto questo B&B per le ottime recensioni trovate online ma mai pensavo che sarebbero andate ben oltre le aspettative. Il palazzo è una dimora storica ottimamente restaurata nel centro di Alezio. Sembra di pernottare in un museo per le tante cose esposte dal fascino del tempo che fu. Le stanze sono prima di tutto super pulite e piene anche loro di tanti oggetti particolari. Il bagno funzionale e i clienti hanno tutto quanto il necessario a propria disposizione. Eccezionale la qualità del letto e dei cuscini ma il riposo è stato ottimo anche per il sorprendente silenzio che avvolge la struttura. Fondamentale la possibilità di parcheggiare praticamente di fronte al cancello del palazzo. Colazione fantastica con prodotti locali e vasta scelta sia di dolce che di salato. Nota di merito infine per il titolare: una persona estremamente cordiale e attenta alle esigenze dei propri ospiti. Un vero plus.

• Donald (10/5): Don't miss on the stay of a lifetime - We are seasoned travellers, who know the difference between average and exceptional. This ticked all the boxes. The owner/operator was outgoing and helpful, providing suggestions for sightseeing, dining and a detailed explanation of the history of his historical house and his olive oil business. Being so close to Gallipoli, Alesio is easily accessible by car. Parking is available on site. But to try to explain the accommodation would not give it justice. It is wow! An old olive oil producing building turned into a b&b, with all of the antiques scattered around. The owner is proud (and I understand why) of how he kept all the original floors doors and furniture. The breakfast is outstanding with fresh pastries and fruit. So don’t miss out on this exceptional accommodation. Nothing

• Fernweher (10/5): Palazzo mit besonderer Ausstattung. - Exklusive Unterkunft mit einem Ambiente wie im Museum, durch zahlreiche Gegenstânde aus der Landwirtschaft. Außergewöhnlich freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber mit einer guten Fee namens Enza, die für ein außergewöhnliches Frühstück sorgte. Obwohl zentral gelegen, durch die dicken Mauern keine Verkehrsgeräusche. Kleiner Garten mit Pool, den wir temperaturbedingt leider nicht mehr nutzen konnten. Zimmer ausreichend groß mit guten Bett, einziges Manko, zu wenig Abstellmöglichkeiten und kein Tisch.
• Brigitte (10/5): Mooie accommodatie in een soort landhuis. Aanrader - Erg leuk en mooi landhuis. Sfeer is heel bijzonder. Ontbijt was uitgebreid. Ligging prima. Met een auto alles goed te bereiken. Personeel vriendelijk . Eigenaar legde alles goed uit en we waren blij met de restaurants die hij aanbeveelde. Wel handig om te reserveren. We hebben niet gezwommen, te koud, maar wel lekker in het zonnetje op de ligbank gezeten. Parkeren kan je voor de deur. Niets.
• Andrea (10/5): Romantik pur für zwei - Einfach alles, es war traumhaft. Wir waren 5 Nächte da und hätten noch ewig dableiben können. Die Zimmer sind gross und wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück mehr als köstlich. Enza hat uns täglich so liebevoll verwöhnt, uns sogar an unserem Hochzeitstag mit Kuchen und Kerzen überrascht. Der Besitzer war mehr als freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gab uns jede Menge Tipps die sensationell waren. Wenn wir nochmals nach Apulien kommen, dann ganz sicher in den Palazzo Castriotta. Es war das allerschönste Hotel auf unserer ganzen Reise. Alles war perfekt!

Le tout à un prix très raisonnable. - Nous avons été accueillis par le maître des lieux avec beaucoup de gentillesse et plein de conseils pour la visite des environs. La bâtisse familiale est magnifique , authentique tout en étant au top du confort avec des chambres spacieuses et décorées avec soin. Rien à redire non plus sur le petit déjeuner complet servi au bord de la piscine sous les citronniers ou les orangers ! Salvatore met tout en œuvre pour que le séjour se passe au mieux ( jusqu’à gérer le paiement de notre contravention de la veille lors de notre visite de Gallipoli 😊et s’assurer de la réservation de notre restaurant !) Je recommande vivement cet endroit, qui m’avait d’ailleurs été recommandé. RAS
• David (10/5): - Staying at this beautiful Italian palace was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Salvatore made us feel completely at home. He was incredibly kind and always ready to help. The room was charming and tastefully decorated, and the atmosphere throughout the house felt peaceful and authentic. Breakfast was a real treat, with delicious homemade pastries prepared with so much care. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a more memorable stay.
• Annet (10/5): Geweldig, overtrof alle verwachtingen. - Schitterend hotel, bijzonder sympathieke eigenaar, prachtige kamer, goede bedden, zeer romantische kamer. Mooie ruime schone kamer. Alles klopt hier. Salvatore maakt zelf olijfolie. We hebben die mogen proeven: zeer goed en lekker. Uiteraard een fles gekocht om mee naar huis te nemen. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid met heerlijk vers fruit, verschillende yoghurts, zoete broodjes, stukjes stokbrood en allerlei beleg. De cappuccino bij het ontbijt vond ik niet lekker, en dat in Italië.

La chambre était spacieuse, confortable, parfaitement équipée, et l’emplacement est idéal pour découvrir les Pouilles : entre plages magnifiques et charmantes villes à visiter, tout est facilement accessible. Salvatore, d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle, accueille ses hôtes avec beaucoup de soin. Il met tout en œuvre pour rendre le séjour parfait et transmettre son amour pour sa région. Toujours disponible, il donne de précieux conseils sur les lieux à découvrir, les restaurants à tester ou encore les plages où profiter du soleil. La personne qui s’occupe du petit-déjeuner (malheureusement nous n’avons plus son prénom) est également d’une douceur et d’une bienveillance remarquables, avec de délicates attentions qui rendent l’expérience encore plus agréable. Toute l’équipe du Palazzo Castriota est formidable et contribue à l’atmosphère chaleureuse du lieu. Nous avons été émerveillés par l’établissement comme par les personnes rencontrées. Avec ma compagne, nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement et vous conseillons de ne pas passer à côté d’une réservation. /
• Olivier (2/5): Décevant et stressant - Le petit-déjeuner Le manager du Palazzo nous a harcelé par téléphone en nous appelant toutes les demi-heures pour savoir notre heure d’arrivée. Il n’y a que 3 places pour se garer devant. Nous avions par erreur fait un double booking et le manager à refusé la demande de « Free cancellation » que nous avions faite par Booking.com, prétextant que ce n’est pas possible à cause de Booking. Ce qui est complètement faux. Les chambres n’ont pas de vues. Il n’y a qu’une fenêtre qui est à 3 mètres de hauteur. La piscine est trop petite.

Due to a mistake we had accidentally booked twice, and the owner refused any cancellation or flexibility. We had to pay the full price, which made these the most expensive two days of our holiday. He only offered a bottle of olive oil and prosecco as consolation, which was a very poor gesture. Not flexible at all – I would not return and cannot recommend this place.

La chambre (surclassement offert) était spacieuse, confortable, très propre et décorée avec goût. Le petit déjeuner pris à l'extérieur est varié, complet et servi avec beaucoup de gentillesse. La localisation est idéale, proche de Gallipoli et de ses plages et des voies rapides pour accéder à Lecce, Otrante et autres lieux d'intérêt. • Van Thienen (9/5): - Het palazzo zelf is prachtig ingericht en de eerste indruk is overweldigend. Zeer goede ontvangst met direct nuttige praktische tips van de gastheer. De ligging in een niet toeristisch stadje was heel aangenaam, we bevonden ons temidden van de lokale bewoners wat super is na de toeristische bezoeken. Twee heel lekkere restaurants in de buurt en de gastheer geeft meer dan genoeg tips over restaurants, inclusief de reservatie evan. Er zijn paar parkingplaatsen op de straat maar die stonden dikwijls vol. Gelukkig is er in de rest van de stad genoeg gratis parkeerplaats.

Tudo muito bem cuidado, com toda tecnologia atual e todo conforto. Um café da manhã incrível e super regional. Não se preocupe com estacionamento, eles tem vagas reservadas na rua e a região é fácil para estacionar. Super indicado!

• Rámon (10/5): Great palazzo, even greater host - The location was everything you see on the pictures. You get the sense of living in a museum only with al the modern facilities you want on a holiday. A few years ago the palazzo has been renovated and every little detail regarding decoration has been thought through. It's really a beautiful place. The host Salvatore is great. Very friendly and communicative. He provided an overview of all the interesting sites, beaches, restaurants etc. He went above and beyond being a host by inviting us to his olive oil factory and showing the production process. All and all, staying at the palazzo was a great experience because of the palazzo itself, but also because of the great host Salvatore. I would want to spend my holiday every year at the palazzo! I can't think of anything.
• Frank (10/5): Perfect place and location to explore the Puglia region - We were pleasantly welcomed by Salvatore, who was always ready to help us out with booking of a restaurant or providing excellent tips for beaches and even a well-organized boat trip. The breakfast was excellent and always home-made fresh. The accommodation was splendid (one minor comment: the water of the pool was not warmed and really cold) in an excellent setting. Salvatore always arranged breakfast outside in his lovely garden. Ensa, his help during breakfast was very friendly and gentle. We really loved or stay which made it a fantastic holiday in Puglia!

Our apartment was comfortable, clean and lovely furbished. Breakfast was served in a pool/garden area and it was absolutely delicious - fresh fruit, lovely coffee - savory and sweet choices. Warm welcome from Salvatore who shared with us all tips and tricks regarding places to visit, restaurant to eat etc. And I cannot forget to mention sweetest Enza whose lovely smile in the morning cheered us up for a good start of a day! Our stay I Castriota Palazzo was absolutely amazing - do not hesitate to book your stay! Alezio itself is a small, quiet village but its location allows to make daily trips to all interesting to visit places in easter, wester and southern parts of peninsula.
• Joannne (10/5): Just lovely! - Everything. The beautiful property, the owners, the staff, the breakfast, the comfortable rooms, beds. Just exceptional. Nothing not to like about the property. The only thing to note is that there’s not much in the vicinity- a couple of restaurants walkable and little shop which is perfect for bits and bobs. Otherwise be aware of the need to drive everywhere- that said, all recommendations by the proprietor were just fabulous, really worth his advice and couldn’t have asked for better.

The hosts were fabulous and could not do enough to help u - It was an amazing restoration of a fabulous old building with features made from original fittings including an outdoor spa pool in a secret garden. The rooms though luxurious did not have any private outdoor space.
• Dobrochna (10/5): Exceptional - Once you enter the palazzo, you are in very good hands and we felt welcome there! The rooms are really beautiful and one of the kind, also the entrance area and the pool. Salvatore gave us lots of recommendations, where to eat or what to visit, we appreciated it a lot and was much more easier to plan our stay. Tasty and fresh breakfast, good coffee. :) Everything was wonderful. Grazie allo staff 💚🤍❤️
• Stefan (9/5): An excellent place to stay to visit Salento area - Puglia - The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very luxurious, spacious and very clean. The owner Salvatore was very helpful and went far and beyond to assist us with our trip. We were provided with ample tips, options and addresses of touristic spots and restaurants. He even made the reservations for us in the restaurants. All suggested restaurants were very nice with excellent food at very beautiful locations. We should also mention the lady serving the breakfast who was very attentive and friendly. Overall an excellent experience and a big thank you to Salvatore and his team for running such a beautiful Palazzo. Nothing really that we didn't like. If we have to mention something negative it would have to be the location of the Palazzo. But again this was because we decided to stay in one place during our whole trip to Puglia and visit all places such as Bari, Alberobello, Ostuni... which is at least 1.5 hr driving from the Palazzo You always needed to take your car to be driving around and visit places. But having said this within 10 min drive you are in the center of Gallipoli and restaurant wise in Alezio itself you also have nice restaurants.
• Karen (10/5): - Wir haben in der Unterkunft 5 Nächte verbracht und waren total begeistert! Der Palazzo ist wunderschön mit tollen Zimmer und einem süßen Pool draußen, wo man auch frühstückt! Das Frühstück jeden Morgen wurde frisch zubereitet und war köstlich! Salvatore, hat uns jeden Tag eine neue Empfehlung für den Tag gegeben, was super war! Es gibt nur wenige Zimmer, was es Titel gemütlich und heimisch macht. Im Ort genrell ist nicht viel los, weshalb ein Auto ein Muss ist, jedoch erreicht man Galipoli mit dem Auto in 10 min! Einer der tollsten Hotels in denen wir je waren! Danke!!

• Gema (9/5): Nice stay and excellent day trips - Historic and carefully renovated building in a quiet village. The wonderful recommendations from the owner were the highlights of our trip. Boat trip was unforgettable. Lovely breakfast. Small pool in shaded courtyard was perfect to recharge batteries in the middle of summer Our room’s air conditioner system didn’t work well for the first 24h but hotel made every effort to get problem sorted.

• Brian (10/5): Beautiful rooms. Beautiful garden, kind and attentive Salvatore. Strategically placed for touring. - Salvatore was completely attentive and so helpful and friendly. We were made to feel very much at home. There were so many personal touches. We had delicious breakfasts, thank you Salvatore. Nothing was too much trouble. We learnt a lot of social history, and appreciated days gone by in such a household and also about the family history of wine making and olive oil production. The pool was a treat, an oasis of peace and calm. We will have lasting memories, and, I hope, the possibility of seeing you and your family in England one day. Thank you Salvatore. (Apologies again for the flood!) Nothing to dislike!

• Carla (10/5): Excellent accommodation and a wonderful host with the most wonderful taste! - This place is so lovely! The building, the rooms, the breakfast were marvelous and the host Salvatore made us feel very welcome and exceeded our expectations. On check-in Salvatore gave us a list of nearby beaches, restaurants and places of interest which was super helpful. He even gave us access to sunloungers and a parasol at a nearby fancy beach club for free! (which would have been 50 euros each for the day). He also recommended and booked a boat trip about an hour away from the hotel which he promised was beautiful and it was! Honestly the best boat trip I've ever been on. A luxurious small boat which only had 2 other couples on the trip (so we had plenty of space) and the opportunity to spend the afternoon sailing between rock faces, snorkeling, paddle boarding and exploring caves. It was bliss!
• Vanessa (10/5): A hotel or a museum?! Fabulous - My husband and I stayed at the Palazzo for 7 nights and had a wonderful experience throughout. Before we even arrived Salvatore was responsive with messages and arranging our late check in. He greeted us as soon as we arrived in the car and showed us to a parking space directly outside the property. The masseria is stunning and the rooms are very unique! My first thought was, is this a museum or a hotel!? It was marvellous. The 200 year old family artifacts throughout the room and the rest of the hotel are amazing. We could not be more grateful for Salvatore for all of his help with restaurant recommendations and bookings. His expertise on delicious dinners and beautiful beaches was like having our own personal holiday planner. Enza and her warm welcome every morning at breakfast helped us start the day right, we loved her creativity with the fruit sculptures! Beautiful! The rooms were clean, comfortable and relaxing. Quiet and relaxing round the pool too. Very pleased with our stay. Thank you

• Bernd (10/5): - Das Haus mit seinen individuellen Zimmern ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Salvatore und sein Team lassen keine Wünsche offen. Sehr sauber und das Frühstück wird am Pool eingenommen. Es wird alles frisch und individuell für die Gäste zubereitet. Jeden Tag wird das Zimmer gereinigt. Der Aufenthalt war einzigartig. Salvatore, ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Macht weiter so.

O Palazzo é lindo, muito limpo e bem cuidado. É bem decorado tb. A localização é muito próxima de Gallipoli, o que torna o local ótimo custo benefício. Nós recomendamos muito o Palazzo!!

Il momento della colazione mattutina, abbondante e genuina, è reso ancora più piacevole e rilassante nella location del bordo piscina.
• Laetitia (10/5): - Je n'ai pas les mots pour décrire notre séjour chez Salvatore. Nous sommes parties le cœur lourd. Le lieu est à couper le souffle, il y a une âme et on s'y sent bien. Les chambres sont décorées avec goût, c'est calme et très propre. Les petits-déjeuners préparés par Enza sont un régal pour les yeux et le ventre. Chaque matin, une nouvelle création avec les fruits. Un sans faute, allez y les yeux fermés et suivez bien les recommandations de Salvatore !

• Andrew (9/5): Superb - Stylishly refurbished historical family property with perfectionist attention to detail by owner and very welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast full of home made and local specialties. A great place to stay if you want to be in a small town near Gallipoli. I would appreciate an earlier check-in time than 4pm, and later stated checkout than 10am (although we left later than 10am without any rush)

• Johan (9/5): We felt really welcome in a fantastic period property - Warm and friendly welcome. Salvatore (owner/manager) was extremely helpful and friendly, had good suggestions and assisted with bookings etc. Enza served a superb breakfast and kept topping up with coffee and fruits with a genuine smile and a chat. She was like a family member. This old building is impressive and Salvatore has done an incredible job doing it up and it is very stylishly decorated. Easy parking for rental car. Short drives to Gallipoli, beaches and neighbouring towns and villages, although not an awful lot happened in Alezio itself. Not much. Could have had more of a desk/table in the room as I had to do some work, but not really a problem.
• Leonardo (7/5): overprieced with an average score which is too high. A 7.5-8 at max. - charming Palazzo with old traditional elements mixed with renewed rooms - a ready room with open windows during summer time is not good - AC could be more powerful - bathroom is very tiny - we stayed 3 nights, on our check-out day we found a piece of baguette between the bed and the night table. This was not our food remains as we did not take food into the room, so obviously these remains where from former guests and a clear sign that the rooms were not cleaned properly. Honestly it was a shocking discovery.
• Willy (8/5): Pas d’A/C et mauvaise literie - Très beau Bred & Breakfast avec de belles attentions aux clients telles qu’elles assiette de fruits frais au petit déjeuner et bouteille de vin en cadeau de départ. Cependant, pour être en phase avec une prix de nuitée de plus de 300 €uros pour la suite avec jacuzzi dans la chambre que nous avons occupée pendant 4 nuits, 2 points majeurs devraient absolument être améliorés au plus vite : 1- faire vérifier le système d’air conditionné qui ne fonctionne plus du tout et n’envoie aucun air frais. OK en été il peut faire jusqu’à 40 degrés Celsius dans le Salento, mais à Dubai, il faut encore plus chaud et les climatisations fonctionnent ! 2 - le matelas Queen Size est de mauvaise qualité avec des ressorts usés empêchant de se reposer vraiment. Avec une chambre à 32°C, nous sommes ressortis très fatigués de notre séjour au Palazzo Castriota à Alezio. Adresse non recommandable de notre point de vue pour le prix très élevé pratiqué. Si on avait eu connaissance de ce problème de climatisation inopérante en plein été, on aurait pas réservé cet hôtel. Un geste de discount sur nos extras tels que massages ou serviettes pour la piscine (qui sont payantes - c’est un comble avec le prix pratiqué pour la chambre !) aurait vraiment été appréciés. Une bouteille de vin en guise d’excuse était un geste bienvenu, mais ne compense pas une note de près de 2000 €uros pour 4 nuits en ce mois d’aout 2021. Bel endroit et personnels sympathiques, mais adresse à fuir car PAS DE CLIMATISATION

• Florence (10/5): Un des plus beau hôtel des Pouilles - 4 nuits en famille dans un hôtel atypique et magnifique. La décoration et le confort en font un hôtel à réserver sans hésitation. L’accueil de Salvatore est chaleureux. Disponible et très sympathique, il met tout en œuvre pour rendre agréable votre séjour. Un remerciement tout particulier à Enza pour la qualité de son service, sa bonne humeur et sa gentillesse.

• Deborah (10/5): Pure excellence at a stunning and unusual property - This is one of my favourite hotels I have stayed at. The building has been cleverly converted to a small boutique hotel. It is high quality and rustic at the same time. The owner has attended to every detail and could not be more helpful in recommending restaurants and local beaches and making sure we are comfortable at the hotel. Enza is a wonderful lady doing everything possible to make breakfast a great experience which it was sat around the beautiful pool in the courtyard garden. All amenities were of high quality even a hairdryer that was powerful and hot water in an instant. This is a little taste of Italian heaven.

Das Gebäude hat extrem viel Charme und die Zimmer wie auch das ganze Hotel sind mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man spürt das Herzblut des Inhabers und der Angestellten jederzeit und die Tipps für die besten Restaurants, Lidos und Strände in der Umgebung sind top. Italienische Gastfreundschaft par exellance!
• Aurora,Niccoló (8/5): Ambiente elegante curato e pulito - Siamo due giovanissimi ragazzi. , abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana al palazzo castriota , ambiente estremamente curato , pulito , accogliente con una particolare attenzione ai dettagli. Servizi e condizioni della struttura ottime , colazione eccellente. Unico neo negativo riscontrato è stato il fatto che la nostra stanza era estremamente piccola rispetto a quanto immaginato e letto al momento della prenotazione. Personale particolarmente gentile e cortese.
