Beautiful lake, and you can also swim. I loved it! Just because it’s really close to train railway so it’s a quiet noisy in the night when sleep.

• Dennis (10/5): Best stay in all of Switzerland - I absolutely LOVED this hostel. It's just a beautiful as the photos show. The character of the heritage building is lovely. It oozes with the feeling of a secluded summer lodge, yet is close enough to interlaken to get to everything easily. The staff were kind, helpful and welcoming. They provided me gluten free buns for breakfast.

Just the usual cold meat, cereals, bread/toast, coffee, milk etc. The shared rooms didn't have a working locker although the description said so. There were only two shower rooms.

• Lindsay (6/5): - This hostel has a beautiful view and is right on the lake. But the WiFi situation is terrible! No WiFi in the rooms and poor signal in the common area. The property is also right next to the train tracks, and the train goes by often and way into the night. There’s also one restaurant close by that I could find, so very few places to eat/shop/etc. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want to sit on the lake and relax, unplugged. Not great if you are a remote worker that needs quality WiFi and restaurants to sit and work at.

• Pedro (8/5): Fantastic place - dreamlike! - Fantastic location just by the lake with beautiful view and access to lake beach. Historical property with a very welcoming spirit both for solo travelers, but also plenty of families. Fantastic breakfast. I wish I could have stayed longer. A small parking space for a couple of motorcycles inside the property would be really nice and wouldn't take much room anywhere. One of the days I had to park the motorcycle away from the property because the parking outside was full and not really suitable to park motorcycles.

• Laura (10/5): Leissigen Hostel - The staff was very accommodating and kind. I made the mistake of not reserving dinner 24 hours ahead of time and they still kindly let me have dinner at the hostel. The location was amazing! Right on the water with a dock and watercraft for rent (very cheap too!). The sunset over the lake was absolutely beautiful.

• Premang (7/5): Best location value for money. Worse wifi. - Amazing location. Right beside the lake. And they had equipment for some water sports as well. The wi-fi was pretty much useless. It wasn't reachable from rooms, or backyard. The only place wi-fi was working was the common dining area.

• Janna (8/5): Very good - the views are incredible, hot showers, clean and tidy spaces, good breakfast, close to bus stop, far enough from city but not too far that it’s inaccessible, and shout-out to Martin and his co worker from Brazil who were very helpful and friendly loud sounds due to the hostel house being quite old and creaky, no wifi connection in hostel rooms

• James (10/5): Perfect setting! - A wonderful location on Lake Thun - and very convenient for the station. Simple rooms in a traditional chalet building - that had been the summer house of the founder of Ovaltine, and retained many of the original features. A quiet village setting from which to walk along clearly signed paths in all directions. Great breakfasts and evening meals. Would highly recommend a stay here!
