- ROBERTA (9/5): Restful place to stay in Gallup. - The room was large and comfortable. The couch was nice ( my husband needs to get up at night and sit for a while. ) The bed was good, warm with comfortable pillows. The breakfast was really good. Fresh (real!) scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit (including grapefruit!) and a toasted English muffin. The attendant toasted it for us exactly as we asked. Then after we sat in the dining area, they made sure to check on everyone to be sure everything was okay. Really a nice service. Actually all the staff at Marriot’s are great!! The curtain did not come down far enough to block the outside lights. And like most hotel rooms, the coffee maker in the room made horrible coffee. (We just went down to the lobby and got fresh coffee.)

I wish the bathrooms in the room were so transparent. It was weird being around family and then being able to see in the window door of the bathroom. Mind you I got a room for six.

- flowerfilled (6/5): Okay. Should do better. - This is our 3rd stay here. A mixed bag. It was okay? It's Gallup. I don't expect luxury in Gallup, but this is a new build hotel, not a remodel so I think it could do better. This is over a multiple-day stay. Pros: ~Good location close to highway and food ~The alternative Native girl at breakfast was sweet, asking everyone if they had everything they needed. Nicest person at the hotel. - Good supportive pillows, not just the feather squish ones ~ Bed was comfortable ~ Two different shower nozzles, one up top and lower body one Cons: ~Broken bottles ripped off the wall in the shower ~ No hot water midday in shower, only at night ~Stagnant-smelling rooms ~ Cleaners cleaned shared wall rooms loud keeping us awake mornings we tried to sleep in. ~ Bed wasn't made on arrival. I had to look back through my pictures on here. This is the only time it's happened to me I can recall. ~Breakfast low quality. Stuff was cold in the warm plates at 7am. No cream cheese for bagels. Older woman hovering around, what's the point of hovering around us if your food is cold. - Loud. Lots of trains. Would happen at any hotels right here.

- Mary (6/5): Decent, not as good as other Marriotts. - Convenient location and comfortable. Maintenance needs to routinely check rooms for repairs to doors, cabinets, showers. Breakfast needs improvement. Did not have what other Marriotts have such as juice, waffle maker and more food selections. For the similar cost, I would consider other high quality hotels nearby.

- Daphne (8/5): - It was close to I-25 as well as the football fields. It was clean and customer service was excellent. The elevator was out of service and not fixed in a timely manner. Being on the third floor, this was an inconvenience especially for those with young kids and carrying football equipment. I know the hotel was booked and staff did what they could regarding other issues which they handled with care.

- Miranda (5/5): Great location but thin walls, check your room before agreeing to it, wasn’t the best. - In a very good location that’s close to shopping and easy access to freeway. I didn’t like the room. We reserved the Mountain View room and were not placed on that side, we saw the main road and golden corral. Also their walls are thin, idk what was happening upstairs but it sounding like running and someone constantly falling and I could not sleep.

- Joshua (8/5): Nearly Perfect Stay! - Our trip was nearly perfect. Great property, wonderful room, friendly staff, wonderful furniture, great bathroom…everything was fantastic. Except the beds. While clean and well done, the bed was not soft or comfortable. Honestly, we both did not sleep well because of it, enough so that we might not return. BUT I do want to tell you that everything else WAS wonderful. It was just the beds that we were disappointed in. But please know we LOVED everything else!

- 146mitrak (2/5): Subpar Marriott Experience - I was not able to leave a review on the Marriott site, but feel that it's important that I let other travelers know that this hotel is just not even close to the quality we expect when we stay at a Marriott product. First off, when we checked in, noone mentioned that none of the TV's in the entire hotel were not working. I just read reviews from folks who stayed there several weeks after us and it appears that the issue has not been resolved. So we spent some time trying to figure it out only to learn that there was nothing we could do. When we tried to call the front desk, the front desk key on the phone was broken. When I took a shower, I reached for the shampoo only to realize it was not there, it had broken off the wall and never been replaced. There were more issues, ranging from the shower heads to the breakfast. Would sadly not recommend.
- April (1/5): I wish there was a 0 stars option. Staff was completely rude and I was over charged for my rooms. - Location was close to everything it seemed. My group was in town to perform a show and the venue was not far from us. I booked 2 rooms through booking at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Gallup and prepaid for the rooms using my card on file. I received confirmation of payment and the money was removed from my account. When I got to the hotel to check in I was told only one of my rooms was paid for and the second I had to provide payment prior to them checking me in. When I showed the clerk my receipt the only help I was provided with was we cant do anything contact Booking. I had no choice but to pay for the room again. At the end of my stay I received 6 different receipts. This was the worst experience and I would not recommend others to stay here.

The second room, my son accidentally clogged the toilet by just using the restroom once, there was no maintenance on site to fix the problem. The third room we just settled in. It had the same smell, not as bad. Usually this hotel is our favorite to stay at. We never had issues before. So this time it was unfortunate.
