- Elizabeth (4/5): - The room was quite run-down. There were holes in the walls, and the bed was so hard that I woke up with a very stiff neck and back. I had to sleep on top of the blanket to get any comfort. The walls are thin and we could hear the nextdoor neighbors laughing, washing dishes, taking a shower, etc. the bidet on the toilet didn't work either. We asked to upgrade the room because our first room didn't have curtains, and the pictures of the upgraded room showed curtains, but when we came into the room, there were absolutely no curtains! Even if the window faced a wall, and there was only some light coming through, it would have been nice to shut the curtain. That's the whole reason we upgraded and paid more. There was a very moldy smell coming out of the AC, and in the shower area. The shower floor was extremely gross and dirty. The shared slippers smelled like feet, so I was hesitant to use them, but the floor in the room was very dirty, so I felt it was necessary to wear the slippers. I know it's a two star hotel, but I don't think it was worth the price at all. I honestly don't recommend this hotel. For that price, there's definitely way better options. I normally don't complain about a hotel like this, but I was pretty dissatisfied with the whole thing. Definitely not the right price. The only good thing is that customer service was helpful when upgrading the room, but the guy at reception couldn't speak Japanese or English, so it was a bit frustrating when checking in.

- Zachari (8/5): - Met the owner of the property, cool dude. Offered to take me for a ride in his yellow honda beat. If you get lost in the area, just look for that car and you are back😂. If you are okder, the stairs at the property might be an issue as they are very steep. The rooms were spacious, clean and had an interesting layout. The hotel is around a 9-10 min walk from otsuka station which will take you anywhere you need to go in tokyo. Amazing stay for the price!

- Maria Francesca (10/5): - Perfect location if you want to stay in a residential area - it’s close enough to the station of Ostuka (30 ish min from shibuya) and quiet all day long. There are restaurants and stores, and everything you might need. Staff is available and friendly if you need anything 24/7, I had the best time! It’s honestly amazing for the price. Will definitely come back when in Tokyo.
- Wai Yiu (4/5): A hostel for short trip - It takes 8 mins walk from JR Otsuka Station. The hostel should renovate from a old house. The hoat ia friendly but not always stay in the hostel. The room ia relatively larger than a standard Japanese Hotel. It's not shared room but shared bathroom and wash room. The room is cleaned but the mattress is very hard, I can't sleep well during the stay.The bathroom is quite ok, water pressure is high. However, the washroom is very small, not easy to go in and use it. Not recommend for long staying.

- Timothy (10/5): - Nice and quaint place, quiet location that's a 10 minute walk from Otsuka station. Rooms and shared areas are clean and are everything I could want. In the smallest room they offer, I paid $30 a night for a pretty large bed, room for my luggage, walls that aren't paper thin, and a good AC. This is all nice, but the best part is the staff, by far. On my last day, the man working the counter held my luggage after checkout for a couple hours while I went to pick something up, then helped me move all my luggage not just down the stairs, but all the way to Otsuka Station! I had quite a bit of luggage, so he was a huge help. He also spoke fluent English, which is quite rare in Japan, but very convenient for any travelers. Overall 10/10, 11/10 for the staff specifically.

- Lara (10/5): Fab budget room - We stayed here for 10 days, and other than not being able to find the hotel initially (if you travel by subway to Otsuka, take the exit to your right as you exit, next to the bakery makes everything much easier!). The rooms were clean and comfortable, but basic, which is all we wanted. The showers were good (good water pressure, amazing!). It was quite quiet, the area is nice, and the rest of Tokyo is easily accessible from the local station. If you want to sleep late, definitely bring an eye mask, as the sun shines through the windows in the morning and will wake you up (an aspect I liked, but it isn't for everyone). The manager seemed nice when we met him, but had no dealings with him after having checked in. We were sad to leave our little room at the end of the trip, and would definitely recommend Belle Via!
- Verified traveler (2/5): A.W.F.U.L, don't trust the past comments - I am disappointed with the two nights stay in the hotel. 1) Control price up during reservation period (i.e. the price suddenly down nearly half after reservation deadline. 2) not allow for cancellation or change before stay 3) insufficient supply for basic hygiene materials 4) room so small, no space for two guests' luggage & bags 5) insecure method for luggage storage 6) poor communication channel for check-in & check-out (no one in reception while morning) 7) hotel.s.c.o.m shows me a smart way to teach me learn about an untrue promise for low-price guarantee = deadly failure in the point of view in customer experience. I hope NO one will repeat bad selection for the stay in "so-called" traditional room & its service. Don't trust the past comments

- LR (4/5): A hotel to sleep only. - The staff was not available when we got there. One of the two bathrooms was closed and inaccesible to everyone. In a whole week they never changed our sleeves.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - I booked a non smoking room but when I entered our room, it smelled of cigarettes. It was conviently located between two station. As far as I was aware there were only 2 showers
between everyone staying at the hotel. There was a bathroom in every floor. The hotel has a kitchen but it's not really used for the guest unless you reserve it. It did have a microwave and refrigerator but it was also shared between everyone. It was really difficult to find the place the first night. - duri (10/5): good location, nice staff, clean and cozy - better than expect for all clean and cozy rooms staff Elie is the legend ;)

- Ting Zhi (6/5): Unhelpful owners but clean - The hotel was located at a convenient location. However, when we arrived we had trouble finding the hotel entrance and the owners were not contactable. We then had to do a self check-in which was not very pleasant as we open doors to unkempt rooms, giving us a bad first impression of the place. However the shower was clean with proper amenities(shampoo, clean towels and hair dryers). The room was also well-heated throughout the night.

- Maiko (4/5): 日本人の素泊まりはムリかな。 - 泊まり客は外国人バックパッカーがほとんど。フロントはないし、玄関は並の一件家より狭い。説明は日本語と英語併記の『貼り紙（コピー）』が頼り。トイレ、バスは室外、つまり共用！部屋にいると外国人の大きなオナラが聞こえる程、ある意味『ただの寝室』でした。 オーナーは日本人のお兄ちゃんで、いい人でしたが、とにかく[居ない]。 いちばん弱ったのは、部屋にテレビもラジオもなくドライヤーもなくパジャマもなくアメニティもなく、和式の蛍光灯の2つの輪っかの1つが外されていたことでした。 エアコンの音が響き渡るお部屋でどうにか浅い眠りをとりました。…辛かったっす！

- Verified traveler (4/5): Too hot and muggy - First of all, the room was a little farther awat from the rail station that we wanted. I think they were fleas as I came out with bites on my arms and hands. The bathroom was up a small stair case ,but was sufficient. It was quite muggy in the room, but, they did have a good air conditioner.
- Daniel (8/5): Hyggeligt, traditionelt hotel - Hotellet er et lille lokalt hotel med alle de mest nædvændige ting for et godt ophold. Stedets stil er simplistisk og traditionel, og ligger 200 meter fra en dagligvare forreltning. Dog var internettet på stedet ikke af den bedste kvalitet, men det holdt os alligevel ikke fra at udvide vores ophold der med en enstra dag.

- Kate (10/5): Nice ryokan tucked away in the streets of Otsuka - Only a 15 minute walk from the station, and plenty of convenience stores around, this ryokan was comfortable and cute. The staff was lovely and communicated in English as much as possible! The rooms are cosy and clean and no curfew! Very recommended!
