• KULVIR (10/5): Hidden gem, well worth the stay - An absolute pleasure to stay at Palace Lidija. Veljko was an amazing person to rent the apartment from. He helped to organise the taxi to the hotel. We landed in the evening, and dined at the Merlin Bistro restaurant, which is just beneath the apartment. The beach is a 5-minute walk and has clean amenities and is both family freindly and accessible via wheelchair with a ramp. Excellent service and i would definetly recommend this hotel appartment with 5-stars. Thank you.

• Nicolas Henri (10/5): - Pour commencer, nous avons été très bien accueilli par Velijko. A chaque fois que nous l'avons croisé il nous demandait si nous avions besoin de quoi que ce soit. Ensuite l'appartement pour deux personnes est très grand et très propre. Pour etre autonome un vehicule de location est recommandé. Par contre, ne pas se fier aux photos d'Expedia quant à la piscine car celle-ci est privative et réservée à un appartement en particulier. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

• Pia Skare (10/5): Utrolig koselig hotell - Et utrolig koselig hotell som ligger nærme stranden. Hotellet virker ganske nytt og er veldig delikat. Bassenget er ganske lite, men vi hadde det mer eller mindre for oss selv. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme, og kjørt oss til og med til legekontoret for å ta koronatest før hjemreise. Hotellet ligger 50 minutters gange utenfor sentrum av Split, men det er ikke dyrt å kjøre Uber inn om kveldene.

• Akmar1984 (8/5): - The place is in a great location. Only 10m walking to the beaches. There are several of them within 10-20m walking distance, which is great. The city centre is 10m by uber which cost around £4 per ride - another bargain. The place is more of a Airbnb connected with the restaurant rather than a hotel with reception. Having said that though, the response to any request of ours was met with attention, kindness and ‘no problem’ approach. The apartment itself was spacious like a big studio with amazing cleanlines. There was also a balcony which was great to use in the evenings etc. Just outside we could a pool which was perfect size - not too small not too big and never too crowded. Eating breakfast by the pool was a great treat. One thing to improve would be the wifi which could be more reliable and with a higher speed. All in all a great experience and we highly recommend it!

Noe byggevirksomhet rundt hotellet, men ikke støy om kvelden. Veldig koselig restaurant, med god mat til rimelige priser. Bra frokost. Anbefaler å bruke hotellets pickupservice fra og til flyplassen. Rimelig. 40 euro. Hyggelig sjafør. Rene håndklær og renhold måtte vi be om, det ble gjort omgående. Alt i alt et veldig bra opphold.
• Sue (10/5): - Had a great stay here. The staff are excellent and the apartment was clean and larger than expected with separate bedroom with largest bed! Breakfast is huge with fruit eggs done however you want, cereal, cheeses, cold meats. Fresh bread rolls and pancakes. The pool area is really comfy and a dip after walking around Split was most welcome. The only downside is the hotel is a bus ride from the centre 20mins but once shown was very easy and cheap. Near good beach but stones rather than sand. Highly recommend.

You need to stay near Diocletian’s Palace to be where the hip part of the city is located. Even so, if you don’t mind some road construction and building construction early, this place is awesome

• Rachael (10/5): A Beautiful Apartment. - we have just arrived home from a weekend in split staying in the Palace Lidija, in their penthouse sea view apartment. The accommodation is new, clean, Bright and airy, and it felt like a lot of thought had gone into making sure all needs were catered for the whole apartment had been well designed and it was a joy to stay there, the Staff could not do enough for us. the only negative is that it is a good 40 min walk into split, but its a beautiful walk along the coast, so it didn't bother us in the slightest. we found it cheapest and easiest to Uber home in the evening.

Apartments are fairly new and very modern, spacious, with white lacquer finishes and ceramic floors. The bathroom has a large glass shower with a rainforest shower head. Located in a quiet area just outside the city and recommend a car. Only a 5 minute walk to Znjan Beach. The rooms were clean and quiet and the king size bed was extremely comfortable. Luka, the manager, and the rest of the staff, could not have done more to make our stay at Palace Lidija feel like home. We would definitely stay here again.

• Lone (10/5): A nice hideout a little outside Split - A really nice and quieter place (Split standards 😉) with helpful friendly staff and good pizzas and breakfast. Close to the beach and the promenade. We enjoyed a lovely terrace and a pool view. The area is in the middle of a lot of new buildings, and older unfinished buildings. So the surroundings are not very charming. But then again Split is from our view not charming at all . To loud music everywhere on the beaches. To crowded in the center of the city. And not very charming buildings or streets outside the center of the city. We definitely prefer the Croatian islands seen from a sailboat. But we enjoyed our stay at Lidija behind their secure walls, in their small garden overlooking the pool. Away from most of the commotion 😄.

The hotel has a driver that is there or can be called to take you to split around 60 Kuna. Taxis cost 150, but uber works the best at less tha. 50 Kuna. The whole area is under construction so the hotel is the only nice thing there. Also, it is my opinion that the place is way over priced. If i were to do it again i would not stay there for more than $100.00 per night. I am currently in a hotel in Venice, way nicer better surroundings more amenities for $124.00. If you are going to pay that much i say got to Split old city!.)
• James (10/5): Why you should stay at Palace Lidija - If you want to stay in a place to have a complete time out, then Palace Lidija is ideal. All the staff were extremely accommodating and unfailingly polite. The rooms are in superb condition, with the added bonus of being able to self cater if required. Given the warm temperatures, air con is also much appreciated! Whenever we required help, then all the staff would bend over backwards to make sure we were catered for. Whether having scrambled eggs at breakfast to having advice for days out visiting the surrounding islands, the staff were immense. Indeed, they even offered us a lift down to the old town for our boat tour. As you will see from other reviews, there is a considerable amount of development in the immediate vicinity which in the long term will make the Palace Lidija the place to stay in Split. Though a couple of miles from the Old Town, an Uber is quick and less than a fiver, so shouldn’t put you off. If you feel a bit lazy, then you can always grab a salad, pizza or drink at their restaurant. We were extremely impressed by the quality of food/drink. Indeed, their cocktails were excellent! If you want to spend a few days in Split, this is an ideal place to stay.
• Stacey (10/5): Best Place EVER! - This was an amazing place! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and well designed. We had a view of the sea, our own living room/dining area, full kitchen with wine and champagne glasses, pots and pans to cook, dishes...everything we needed! There was a small market up the street for any little item we needed. It’s walking distance from a beautiful beach, and a short uber ride to the city! Split is now one of our favorite destinations, and this is because of Palace Lidija! Gordana was the perfect host! Nice people, great gormet pizza shop that’s a local favorite! We shall return!
• Priscilla (8/5): Great apartment - We chose this property to have a couple of nights in Split following a cruise. I knew it was out of town as we didn’t want to stay in the busy area. The apartment and complex was really good. Modern apartment with everything we needed (a washing machine would have been handy). The breakfast was very good - continental and freshly cooked eggs. The staff were very accommodating. There was also a bar open all day for drinks and coffee and a Pizza restaurant at night - good pizza. It’s frequented by tourists and locals. They even had a car & driver at really good rates. The only downside was the location. There’s nothing much around except the beach. There’s a lot of construction going on so that will change over time. Despite that we enjoyed our time there and we wanted a day to put our feet up before we headed up to Zagreb.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Apartment-style boutique hotel. - Boutique hotel consisting of 8 apartments. Clean and modern with friendly staff. The property is on the outskirts of Split, but a 10 minute drive to the city center. Good breakfast.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Great hotel. The only drawback is the neighbourhood is under complete redevelopment- from the adjacent properties right down to the actual beach. You are surrounded by a construction zone and feel somewhat isolated.
• S (10/5): Super stay! - These apartments are amazing. They are in immaculate condition. The pizza restaurant downstairs is great too. We would definitely recommend. There is some building work going on in the area around the property but this didn’t affect our stay at all. The stoney beach is 5 mins away and there are also a supermarket and a couple of good hotel restaurants nearby ( Mistral beach at the Radisson is excellent) . It is about a 40 min walk to the centre along the front or a short taxi ride. The people at the apartment were very helpful and will arrange tours and transfers to the airport etc.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Just Ok - This is a fully furnished apartment consisting of bathroom, bedroom, kitchen/dining room with all appliances and a large balcony. We paid for a "full sea view" room but got a view of the parking lot instead. We were exhausted when we arrived so didn't bother arguing about this. They advertise "24 hour concierge" however nobody was at front desk during the entire time of our stay other than when we checked in. The bar on the ground floor was deserted 100% of the time except for a lonely bartender. We were told during check in that they have a personal driver if we need a ride into town but each time we asked the bartender about this during our stay we were told "the driver is off today". So we ended up just taking a taxi. Keep in mind this location is about 20 min drive from town (i.e. the Diocletian Palace, promenade, etc) and is not exactly walkable. The beach is a 5 minute walk but it has a high rock wall so one cannot just wade in and beach front is VERY dirty, trash everywhere, animal feces, broken beer bottles, etc. However, the worst part was construction - there is a crane right next to the hotel and the noise was unbearably loud every day. Not the hotel's fault I suppose but it made for a less than stellar stay. Everything around the hotel seemed abandoned so we felt a little on the edge just walking around. Overall our stay was just ok but we would not return and not necessarily recommend it as you can get a better place with better view for same money (we looked).
• james (10/5): Great boutique hotel - We arrived at the hotel needing some assistance right off the start and the staff helped facilitate everything we needed and then some. Only intended on staying 2 nights and ended up for 5. Very courteous staff. The room was stylish with high end touches everywhere. Breakfast was served with a friendly smile. The hotel even has their own private driver that will take you wherever you need to go instead of calling a cab. No it was not free but very inexpensive. 3 min walk down a quiet road to the beach. I can't say enough good things about Palace Lidija. I would recommend it to anyone.

• Georges (6/5): Grat Appartment in a poor location! - The place would have been pretty amazing where it not for a pretty bad local,area, an hour's walk from the city center. But even if you like to walk, it's not a nice one. We took a cab back. Breakfast is served outside and though in the shade, at 35C, the cold chain for food is not assured.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great quick overnight in Split with lovely service - We had a single night in Split after a sailing trip and booked an apartment last minute at Palace Lidijia. There was great communication from Ms. Tea at the hotel answering questions on directions and timing. Once we arrived from downtown, we were quickly checked-in and in the pool ASAP. The facilities are very modern and well built/designed. The room was comfortable for four of us and we had a great stay. I can't say enough about the very kind welcome and service we received - the small restaurant/cafe is run by a very helpful young man who would bring drinks (very reasonably priced!) to the pool and served a very nice breakfast in the morning. Only thing to note is that (as some others have said already) the hotel is a bit outside the city center and requires a (10 minute) taxi ride or a 15-20 minute bus + walk to the main part of Split. It is, however, walking distance from a big, local beach complex with restaurants, shops and a great swimming beach.
• Richard (10/5): - very nice people, very helpfull with every thing. this is a new building, very accomodating and very clean. we enjoyed our trip to the islands and the blue cave.
• John (8/5): Great apartment out of town - The apartment was well located out of town with easy access into the city. We preferred not to be in the crowds of Split. The apartment was new and had all we needed. Staff were very helpful. There is a lot of construction in the area so don;t get turned off by all the building work going on around the apartment.
• Simon (10/5): Excellent experience - The location is nice, a short walk to the beach. The room are new and spacious. Highly recommended for a stay in Split.
• Ellie (10/5): Friendly self catering rooms, 5mins from the beach - We spent 4 nights at the Palace Lidija. The apartment was a good size, brand new, air conditioned and incredibly clean. Palace Lidija has a good sized, quiet pool area. The breakfast and bar areas were clean and well managed. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. Something we noticed immediately is that all of the locals in Split are happy to provide recommendations so that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Marco, Tea and Velko went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel itself is a 15-20 min taxi ride away from the old town - which is perfect if you're looking to relax. The area is currently being developed because of its great location - but this did not disturb us at all. Overall, we had a really nice stay and I would be happy to recommend the Palace Lidija. • Sean (10/5): Palace Lidija - Palace Lidija was awesome. The service from everyone in the hotel was well beyond required, everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. The location was just perfect for me, not too close and not too far from the marina. There is a beach nearby with some nice restaurants if you don't want to drive to the main marina (which is like 10 mins drive). New apartments with basic amenities like wash up liquid etc. Cant remember if tea etc. was provided as I wasn't looking to drink tea in the hot weather! Everything worked...I had no issues with the AC as I do with most other hotels I have stayed in (and that is a LOT!!!). Lovely people....did I mention that they arranged tours for us at discounts and went over and beyond to make sure we had a good time...we even got free nibbles and fruits cos one of us didn't like her drink!! I will surely stay again based on my time there.

• Gary (10/5): Beautiful hotel with outstanding ocean views - We stayed two nights before on Adriatic cruise and one after. Hotel is in a quiet location with easy access to facilities and easy parking. All staff were outstanding, friendly and extremely helpful. We had a 1bedroom penthouse suite which was beautifully designed and appointed and panoramic views to Brac and Hvar and the coastline. Highly Recommend!
• Jackie (10/5): Excellent View - The Palace Lidja is a new complex located a short walk to the beach. The penthouse apartment gave us excellent views over the Adriatic Sea. As there is a lot of building going on, it detracts from the area. Tea met us at the apartment upon our arrival and was most informative. To get to the main centre of Split we took the 15 bus from the nearby bus stop. Buses ran every half hour. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and he was keen to get feedback about his place.
• Tracey (8/5): Modern, friendly - This was modern (newish construction I believe) and extremely spacious. It is low season so I think we had the place to ourselves. It is not a fully staffed "hotel" but our "host" was very available for all questions and issues. It is a developing part of town so not a lot of stores etc nearby. We were loving the peace and quiet so it was perfect for us (we also stayed for a couple nights near city center). We had a car rental and it was free parking plus 10-15 min drive to city center. We stopped at a store and bought some snacks, beverages and wine and took advantage of the well-stocked kitchenette and enjoyed a break from eating out as much. It sounds like they have plans to add a cafe and more amenities before 2017 high season. Because of new construction I think they might be working out a couple kinks as we had trouble with the hot water the last morning (they referenced solar panels). They gave us a key to the unit next door for showers and what not so it was a minor inconvenience.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful hotel, excellent host - The hotel was fantastic. Beautiful and clean. Our host was helpful, very knowledge-able about the city.
