MetroLink station nearby giving good access to the city centre. It can fill up with Manchester United fans on a match day so not entirely perfect.

- nigel755 (10/5): Budget, but clean and functional with friendly staff - I recently stayed at the Salford Quays Travelodge, and a small initial issue with a non-functioning socket meant we were offered a room upgrade, as there were no similar rooms available. The Reception staff couldn’t;t have been more helpful, and the hotel itself is ideally sited with tram and bus links to Manchester and Media City in Salford Quays.

- MrError (2/5): Bad day - The room had a very bad smell from the moment I walked in, and it made the whole stay uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep properly because of it, and the room did not feel clean at all. I was really disappointed and would not recommend staying here.

She didn’t just answer our questions — she actively thought along with us and looked for the best possible solution to make our stay easier and more comfortable. That level of customer care is rare and deserves recognition. What stood out most was her willingness to go the extra mile. Izzy remained calm, attentive, and solution-oriented throughout our interaction. You could clearly see that she takes pride in her work and truly cares about the experience of the guests she helps. Thanks to her professionalism and dedication, what could have been a stressful situation turned into a very positive experience for us. Food was ok,but the chips wasn't good ( oven chips ) Would definitely be staying again, our son is at University in Salford... The the staff were all sooo helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend this hotel....
- 696sueu (10/5): Excellent experience - I had a great stay at Salford Travelodge. Stayed 3 nights to visit my son at Salford Uni. Good location for transport links into Salford and M'cr. Comfy, clean room, nice breakfast. All staff were brilliant, super friendly and helpful. Special mention to Izzy on reception for her constant smile and friendly helpfulness, but honestly every member of staff was great (sadly didn't get their names to give them a mention). Will definitely stay again.

- NicMcGee10 (10/5): One of the best - Very and richly surprised with this hotel. Booked as a treat for me and my partner. Check in- Upon arrival, the amazing service from Izzy on reception needs commending. The attention to detail from this lady was second to none. She made us feel very welcome going through everything we needed to know. Check in was so smooth. One of the smoothest experienced. Room- The room we chose was on the 6th floor. The views were lovely especially with Salford Quays and Manchester being lit at night. Very clean, comfortable and everything you need for a lovely night. Yes there was noise but that is to be expected and certainly cannot be helped. The only small critique and this does not by any means change our opinion of the hotel but with the room being on the 6th floor, heat rises and it was warm even with the window open. A suggestion would be a fan in the rooms to use an option but again like I say this does not change the opinion of the hotel. Air conditioning is not something we would ever expect, if it is installed then this is a bonus. Bar - After returning back to the hotel after our afternoon out, we stayed in the bar. Excellent service. The lady we was served by was covering from another site and wasnt sure where certain things were. We had a lovely chat while she was serving us. Credit to the company. Breakfast - One of the best breakfasts we have had at hotels. This beats hands down Premier Inn. The best produce, warm and very tasty. Constantly checked and refilled when needed. Everyone is catered for. I believe we was greeted by 'David' the assistant manager, forgive me if I have your name wrong. So pleasant and so helpful. Check out - so simple, popping your key cards in a small box and away you go!

However, it was dealt with immediately in a calm, professional, and reassuring manner. It honestly couldn’t have been handled any better. A special thank you to the lady at reception – I believe her name was Izzy or Lizzy (apologies if I’ve remembered incorrectly). She was incredibly professional, composed, and genuinely caring while doing her job. She made me feel valued as a guest and completely reassured throughout the situation. Travelodge should be extremely proud to have a team member like her. She is the perfect example of what outstanding customer service looks like, and other hotels could truly learn from her approach. Absolutely fantastic experience – thank you again!

Izzy explained what we needed to know about the hotel and directed us on locations where we wanted to visit during our stay in Manchester. She’s a credit to the hotel! The rooms were extremely clean and breakfast was lovely too. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will surely visit again soon.

The location is perfect for me for visiting family and nearby to transport links and restaurants and bars . The price of the rooms was very reasonable and there is a secure car park to leave vehicles overnight.

It was nice and quiet and I had a double room that was clean. I found all the staff I came into contact with very friendly and more than happy to help with anything asked. Food was good value for money and really delicious. Location was perfect for where I needed to be and not far from other attractions locally.

- marX5661YV (4/5): Heating not working and filthy leaflets. - Night 1, I was disturbed by the housekeeper who stated that she wanted to make the bed that day. I told her I had just checked in the previous night and was still getting ready. She came back 30 minutes later, being very pushy, asking when I was going to leave the room so she could make the bed. I told her I had the right to stay in the room as long as I wanted and that it was just my first night in. She came back and slid a paper or whatever under the door. It was such an uncomfortable situation, especially knowing from the website and the check-in information that I wasn't meant to be disturbed until night 6 for housekeeping service. I also experienced non-working heating, and it is January 😭, and a cracking floor. I noticed the bedsheets had some marks on them, and some of the leaflets in the room were dirty, either from previous guests or reused.

Booked online and then booked breakfast but no option to just choose 2 breakfasts out if 3 night stay. Central customer service wouldn’t refund one. In future I won’t book breakfast in advance.
- karendQ9860PP (10/5): A comfortable week - I stayed here from Sunday to Friday for Work. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. That includes every single staff member that I met but specifically to Izzy who welcomed me every morning for breakfast and the other Staff members at reception Who helped me so much on my first day. The room was comfortable and easy to adjust the temperature. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice and the coffee was good. The location was also fantastic. There was a handy Tesco’s just down the road and a McDonald’s across the way. It was five minutes away from my venue and just across the road from the Quays. Overall, I would recommend this place for anybody visiting the Salford Quays
- ItsmeBobbyG (8/5): Great value for money - Stopped here for 3 nights. It's been a while since we stopped in a travelodge and ww were verry happy with our stay. Perfectly placed for our visit which included a visit to the Imperial War Museum, Old Trafford Stadium and a performance at the Lowry. The room was small but had every thing we needed and was spotlessly clean . All the staff we met were really helpful and friendly but a special mention to Izzie who could not have been more welcoming when we checked in. We would definitely stop again especially at the price. We didn't do it this time but it's a short walk to the tram stops where you can quickly get a tram to the city centre, Trafford Centre or even the Co Op arena.

The receptionist was lovely and the room, although small, was clean and comfortable. I will definitely, stay here again.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, it is easy to see that everything has been renewed or refurbished. Would recommend, tho they charge extra for wifi access. - Pros: 5 mins away from buses and trams into the city, professional, smiling staff, always ready to help whenever they see a guest at reception; good, spacious room, comfy bed and noise levels very low (inside/outside hotel); there's a Tesco express less than 2 mins away open till midnight, so that's a major convenience. Other take-away and minimarket options are within a 5-7 mins' walk. Hotel, restaurant and bar decor is coloured, cosy, a nice spot to be relaxing/eating/drinking into. Cons: one thing I didn't like is being charged an extra £3.50 for 24 wifi access. It should be included in room price at the time of booking, it's a modern basic necessity, come on.

Highly recommended. - Work brings me to Manchester at least twice monthly for 3-4 nights at a time, so this Travelodge has become something of a home from home for me. I have the option to stay elsewhere but never take it as the team at Salford Quays always make me feel so welcome, and I’ve yet to have a bad stay. And as someone who absolutely hates mornings myself, it’s always nice to be greeted by Izzy’s cheerfulness. Great team, great location. Highly recommended.

It was really peaceful at night but during the day it was a good level of volume. nobody was disrespectful towards people potentially sleeping. the amenities were wonderful, the bar in the evening was lively and the breakfast was delicious and well priced.

- jamesglossop18 (10/5): My Experience - Stayed at this Travelodge again after experiencing it for the first time back in June 2025 and couldn't fault it again. Was checked in by the Hotel Supervisor on arrival and was greeted by Izzy for breakfast every morning and sorted any problem/issue that i had. The room was lovely, everything that i needed for my stay and would very much happily go back to this Travelodge again.

- Jeyjey2014 (2/5): Terrible experience - Upon entering room smelt of smoke , full family don’t smoke or vape so was really strong, then on morning went for shower and shower was broke had to use a different room which delayed all our plans for rest of day avoid at all costs, have the cheek to refund the price of 2 breakfasts which btw was horrible how can you get an English breakfast wrong then to top it off the both coffee machines didn’t work avoid this hotel att all costs

Had dinner and breakfast, food was great on both occasions. Rooms. Was clean albeit a few stains on the carpet, but for a cheep one night stay ut was great.

- T9504VUjoanneh (10/5): Family visit - Only booked 2 weeks ago to attend a family funeral, a family of 8 we had 3 rooms, 2 family rooms and 1 double, the rooms were clean and spacious, we had breakfast on both mornings which had loads of choice, no complaints about noise from the floor with the family rooms but the floor with the double room on where a large party of teenagers on a school trip they were running g up and down corridor knocking on doors till early hours.

Specially mention here is Kevin, standing out brilliantly, he is very helpful, warmth, patience, professional and indeed hospitable, and indeed went for an extra mile for us, he is a credit to this hotel and that's made this place so special, recommended. overall everything is fine, most staff are quite nice but unfortunately we came across one definitely need to mention here is Omar (think is the manager)not been very impressed, miserable not friendly, and the way he approach you and attitude and never mind about the friendliness or politeness that he should have at least. you just don’t feel comfortable or welcome being there as a guest with him there! should be giving more training on him to learn the very basic things in working in a hotel business!

Her persona was totally professional yet down to earth and not at all rushed. Each person she spoke to, ahead of me, was treated with courteous warmth. My room was easily accessible which I really appreciated due to my walking issues. I was on the 5th floor so I had a lovely sunny view of Salford in the daylight and a spectacular view with all the lights at nighttime!

- shanksd2019 (10/5): A good hotel. - A good hotel based very close to Salford Quays and the media city area within ten to fifteen minutes walk. Also within walking distance is Old Trafford and the Imperial War Museum North. Next to the Metrolink station, it is very easy to travel in to the centre of Manchester. If energetic, a walk along the canal side takes around forty minutes.

Great location and the best staff we’ve met 🫶🏼 - Worked all over the country for 18 weeks in many of your hotels but this is the best. Location great, staff great. Food and beer without even going out the door! Winner 💪🏼 Easy access to the city centre. Would highly recommend! 🫶🏼 Will be a 5* once new room key system is in place.

Or a tram ride, 5 min walk and 15 min tram. Hotel was far more affordable than the closer ones We arrived a bit earlier than our early check in so our room was still occupied. Izzy at check in was super helpful and done everything she could to get us in as soon as possible, it was much very much appreciated.

- fayeldon (10/5): Amazing Ancy!! - Lovely clean travel lodge, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Paid car park only a teeny distance to walk, maybe 50ms from door to door. Our breakfast was possibly the hottest, freshest and cleanest service we have ever had in a major chain hotel. There was only 1 member of staff on and she was called Ancy, nothing was goi much trouble for her, and everything was impeccable!! Well done Ancy keep up the hard work.

Fantastic staff Devina was so helpful telling us where to find the restaurants, and local attractions. It’s about 20 minutes walk to Coronation street, which is really worth a visit. She also suggested The Trafford Centre…. Which is huge . The rooms are spotless with clean fluffy towels, good tasty breakfast and a well stocked bar Thank you to all involved in making our stay so comfortable

- Alis363on (10/5): Everything you need for a group stay. - We were a group of ten and the location was ideal for visiting Bridgewater Garden, the Lowry museum and the Ordsall Hall. There were restaurants nearby. Accommodation was comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfasts and the use of the bar and lounge in the afternoon and evenings. It was useful to have a car park nearby. .

Parking half price with a code from the hotel and locked after 11pm Hotel very clean and quiet. Great nights sleep. Very friendly and welcoming staff, assistant manager helpful of arrival, hotel manager went above and booked us a taxi as we needed one to get to Peter Kay as it was raining. Alot of eating places near by and the tram is very near too. Barcafe on site Would defiantly return
- Gareth0406 (8/5): Good base for exploring Manchester - My girlfriend and I stayed for a long weekend for her birthday and used it as our base to explore Manchester. We had a lovely weekend and cannot recommend Manchester enough. The Travelodge was pretty good value for money overall, although the quoted price-per-night varied considerably (when itemised our first night was more than many 5* city centre hotels but the subsequent nights were much less, bringing the total cost down to a much more reasonable level). It's pretty centrally located, a short walk from the Lowry Outlet Mall and from Salford Quays Metrolink station - from here, it's very easy to get into the city centre. Our room was on the second floor and we didn't experience any road / outside noise. There was more noise from the corridor than expected in the mornings, particularly for a bank holiday weekend. It wasn't a major issue and didn't last long, but it'd have woken us if we weren't already awake - we're early risers. We didn't eat in the hotel as we found the prices to be expensive for what was on offer, preferring to go to one of the restaurants nearby instead. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, however there were contradictions over the left luggage policy. We'd researched before going and officially Travelodge don't, however according to many online sources many hotels will if asked. We asked earlier in our stay and the receptionist had said they did, but had advised us they weren't insured; however, on checkout we were told not by the rude supervisor - after watching her retrieve a suitcase for another person. We found this very disappointing, mostly because of the clear dual standards and contradictions. The only other issue we encountered was with the room keys; when away from the hotel for more than a few hours the system assumes the key to be lost and resets so we had to request our keys be reactivated when returning to the hotel after being out for the day; this was frustrating more than anything. Overall, we were very happy with our trip and thoroughly recommend Manchester and the Travelodge at Salford Quays as a base for exploring.
- 143jillc (10/5): Travelodge Salford Quays - Great location with good access to public transport. 0.6 mile walk to the Lowry Theatre. The hotel & bedroom was clean & comfortable. The staff were very friendly, especially Izzy at reception. She gave us a lovely warm welcome & was more than happy to give us advice on the local area. Great customer service not just from Izzy but all the staff we encountered.
- Z4122CJstephenf (10/5): Can't beat the value; surprisingly appealing location! - We are a Swiss-based acoustic music trio and were playing in the area. We wanted a place that we could stay after the final show of a two-week tour and were pleased my our experience at the Travelodge. Everything went smoothly in terms of reservations and check-in and the staff members were especially helpful and engaging. Also, it's located opposite a park and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of green space in a neighborhood where we didn't expect it.

Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast at Travelodge is always worth the price. Fully stocked and the restaurant was clean and kept on top of plates. I cannot recommend Salford Quays Travelodge enough.

This is my 5th time at the Salford Quays venue and it never fails to dissapoint. The customer service skills from all of the staff are exceptional. I'd like to make a special mention to Mia.
