• Joshua (8/5): Budget friendly, spacious great for an overnight or a few. - We were driving across country from Toronto to Nelson, and chose to drive the extra hour or so around winnipeg to this motel, well worth it. It was one of the better if not the best overnight stay we had. The aurora present that night wasn't too bright lol.

Located on a quiet residential street within walking distance of the main strip. Adding a power bar for more electrical sockets near the room's desk would have been helpful. But that's a detail.

I like the retro look of exterior and interior of the motel which is a short walk from the relaxing view of crescent lake and portage golf course. It is in a quiet, residential neighborhood and a short drive from shoppers drug, banks, gas, dining options on Saskatchewan Avenue West.

The room had 2 queen beds and kitchenette but there was still enough space to hangout with a family and a dog. The owner was so nice, so friendly and made us feel special guests. She called me to check on us because we were late and provided additional towels as there were 4 of us and the room was prepared for 2 people. Excellent experience! I'd give 10 Stars if I could!

• Stephan (8/5): Old motel well located in heart of Portage - This is an old rustic 70s motel that perhaps would need some renovations. With that said, it is very clean and is well located in the town of Portage La Prairie. Comfortable bed and fine shower. Very good service at the front desk.

The room, although on the small side, was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. It was very quiet which promoted a very good nights sleep. Check out was also quick and easy. Would recommend this property to anyone.

• Selene (6/5): The AC does not cool! - Location is good, near everything in the little town. Clean, nice bed sheets, clean bathroom. The room is stuffy and too warm, the AC is definitely not cool enough and they turned it off in the morning, the room turned into a sauna, not good at all. Very outdated, good use a renovation.

Bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a table and chairs to sit on along with the couch. Nice and quiet. Great grassy area for our dog to use. Staff was so nice. The bathroom fan and light are on same switch and the fan was loud but tolerable. Nothing else was negative.
