Guest Reviews
- warren (6/5): - The room condition is not very good
- Heather (10/5): - The property was in good condition. It was good having the pub next door for counter meals.
- lucy (10/5): - Great sized apartments, good communication, good value for money
- Manjit (10/5): - We as a family of 4 had a great stay at this apartment! The property was clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable experience. It's in a fantastic location—right next to the historic Hunt Club Hotel, established in the 1800s, which adds a lot of charm to the area. The Mt Buller bus stop is literally at your doorstep, making it super convenient for mountain getaways. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. Highly recommend!
- Devanshu (2/5): - There was no water supply during the first night and I had to take my daughter a long way away to use the toilet in the middle of the night
- Grace (10/5): - Really great, clean and great for my purpose
- Scott (10/5): - Cosy warm little cabins, do your days adventure and come back and chill out with wifi YouTube Netflix & knock out Bryan Mannix Hits
- Aleksandr (10/5): - Everything was great. Highly recommended.
- Peter (8/5): - Smoke alarm battery was dead. The room did get warm easily and I had to use the air conditioner a fair bit. The wi fi was very bad.
Overall it was quiet and comfortable.
- Megan (10/5): - Absolutely recommend staying here! The host was very communicative and it was a great stay. Gorgeous views, close to the mountain and had extra touches that made it feel at home. Highly recommend!
- Andrew (10/5): - Perfect place to stay
- Purnima (4/5): - It wasn't nice
- Daniel (10/5): - Great location for the snow
- Kimberly (10/5): - Great little property. Room was spacious and clean.
- Simon (10/5): - The rooms were very big and had everything in it that you need for example dishwasher, electric blanket and so on....
The only thing i did not like was we could hear next door, the walls are not soundproof. and another thing shower head need replacing it was lose and it was uncomfortable having shower at all times thinking it's going to break and hit our head. other wise absolutely love the room and we will stay there again with our family of 4.
- Kelly (8/5): Fair…. - A quick break away with my son in Pine 1
Pros
Location, not too far from Mansfield
Pool, beautiful pool area
Cons
Cleanliness of bedding. My son managed to pull back the doona cover…the doona was badly stained, visible blood stains and god know what else. Really manky and should be incinerated!!
Door handle & lock, quite the trick to getting door open. We needed to screw handle on tightly as it was falling apart.
- John (2/5): - It is well positioned and a easy commute to mansfield
- Tony (10/5): - Really good for what we paid for well done guys
- Harry (8/5): - Low mobile signal and no on premise wifi.
- Fiona (6/5): - Lovely clean basic property for a base for a weekend away in the high country. Pool is great! Room was very hot even with air conditioning going almost the whole time in the dining room with no circulation to bedroom making sleeping difficult. Would suggest some ceiling fans in bedrooms! Food next door in the hunt club was great 👍
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a nice large room with beautiful views. However the curtains and couch were extremely dusty, showerhead kept dropping and no batteries in one TV remote. Price was high for one night considering it isnt ski season.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pool n tennis court
Views n peaceful
Comfortable bed
- Arthur (6/5): Basic accommodation - Accommodation is very basic. There is no checkin as apartments are privatyely owned. Hot water took a long time to come through. Floors cold.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location - gorgeous views of Mt Buller. Very clean. Comfortable mattress. Strong water pressure in the shower.
Only one small gripe - tea and coffee provided, but no milk - suggest supplying small tetra packs eg Devondale long life.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pleased to find this property as described. Neat and tidy, good shower pressure and good bed. Location was great, half hour to Mt Buller village, 10 minutes to winery and 700 meter walk to an awesome pub, that has a little mini mart but I suggest do shopping before. Beautiful views. Good value.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A bath mat would have made showering more comfortable- maybe it was forgotten?
A full length mirror on inside of wardrobe or somewhere else would have been nice!
Every time we made toast the smoke alarm would go off and that was a little annoyance, but otherwise had all the basics and comfortable enough for our needs so satisfied.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. Easy drive to Mt buller each morning. Easy access.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We liked the location where it's close to Mt Buller but walls between rooms are not very sound proof and there is no wifi.
- Adrian (8/5): - Clean, close to the pub which has great meals, great water pressure, water also tastes good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Checking in and checking out was very simple.
Air conditioning was not very good.
- Murray (10/5): - Excellent. Only two improvements to suggest being, a clearer larger television and a hob element. Thanks
- Jeni (8/5): Good for ski weekend - The 1 bedroom/studio apartment had everything we needed. Lovely warm shower after a cold day skiing. The apartment location in Merrijig is excellent - 25 mins to Mt. Buller, right next to the Hunt Club Hotel which has a great restaurant with open fire and lovely staff.
- Bowie (6/5): Snow trip convenience - noisy adjoining rooms - Rented a 4 bed bunk room for trip to the snow with my sons to Mt Buller. Convenient access to the mountain. Minimal kitchen facilities but conveniently located to the Merrijig pub for dinner & drinks.
First 2 nights were lovely & quiet. Third night we had a family next door and could hear everything they said in conversation!
Had an issue with the sound insulation from adjoining unit when occupied by a family who I assume were family of the owners as they seemed to move out after contact with booking agent about unsuitable noise issue. They weren’t nuisance neighbours but sound insulation seemed non existent through adjoining unit door.
- Jacinta (8/5): Spacious room and clean - Very thin walls and can hear neighbours conversations and toilet trips!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Close to Mount Buller - Had a bad experience with the property manager! Be careful of how you use the beds because she will think more guests stayed in the accommodation than expected and she will ask you to pay extra for each guests. Also the area is not well lit, be careful as you walk in to find your accommodation you might stumble on a rocky path! No soundproof you can clearly hear next door’s noise even showering.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very convenient location to Buller village and Mansfield
Hotel next door serves really nice burger
Will definitely go back
- Michelle (10/5): - Jane was an excellent host and made our stay very comfortable. It would have been great if the porta cot provided could have kindly been assembled prior to our arrival but otherwise we had a lovely time!
- Muhammad (8/5): Best place to stay - Best place to stay near Mt buller and room was good enough in size for a couple. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommended.
- Jasmine (10/5): Nice room, very clean and comfortable. - The room was great and I couldn’t complain. I liked the convenience of the pub next door too.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Mt Buller - I read in a review before I left that this place had paper thin walls- we thought she'll be right! We regretted thinking this we witnessed first hand just how thin they were. The Couple next door were up until 3am, so we were too. Next night there was hardly any guests staying and we had the best night sleep!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good accomodation close to mountain - Good accomodation. Be sure to read tge emails about how to access as there is no admin on site. There is a contact number to call. It was a good location, about 20mins from the base of the mountain. There were adjoining doors that are locked, but you are able to hear neighbours. I was pleased they had a laundry that you could access, if needed. Mansfield is aboit a 20min drive, would suggest you stop and get food supplies there as there arent many places around. Nice pub across the driveway that do lovely meals aqnd you can ask to have them takeaway. This was handy as my kids were very tired of an evening after skiing. Would go back and also recommend.
- Ski (8/5): Good location - 30+ minutes to Mt. Buller car park - Spacious, good location. Plenty of cookeries for self catering. However, the fry pans are in very bad condition so have to buy our own from Mansfield.
- George (10/5): Nice and convenient - Great place but you can hear what your neighbors are doing because the walls are very thin
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay for the snow - It was lovely, clean and modern facilities. Needed to bring your own shampoo and condition, milk etc
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice apartment - Close to Mt Buller - For the short stay, you can't really complaint about the apartment. However I don't like the idea the surcharge for not put the dishes away.
You can suggest to the owner if people leave the dirty dishes then surcharge apply. From my experience some of the cup, glasses, plates (top one) and cutlery quite dirty so I think the previous group try to avoid the surcharge and don't have time to clean they just rinse then put them back which is a hygiene issue.
The owner should allow the last dishwasher when we check-out then the room cleaner can put it away (may take 5 mins), and the next group will get the clean dishes. I will come back again for sure!
