I really recommend Arven hotel, friendly staff who was patient and ready to help (even helped me with my Turkish a little, even though I'm just a beginner), great location, gorgeous view from the terrace, parking place was available, clean rooms with air conditioner. Nothing to complain about.

The location is perfect, in the old town and very close to the Bosphorus; our room was big enough for us 4 but the bathroom was too small - we could not completely open the bathroom door because the sink was in the middle and the shower was not very confortable. We thought it offered a continental breakfast but instead it was just a turshish one - really good, by the way, but not what we expected. Also the bed linnen had no sheets, only a thin cover, which, although not unconfortable, was not what we expected. In general, we had a very good stay, were greatly treated by the very kind staff but there are for sure things to improve. Bathroom too small, bed linnen because no sheets were available, breakfast not offering a continental option

But service is bad for international travellers with no proper Toileteries and Mobile powerplug was different here , when we asked for a power plug extension, the person incharge has asked us to buy it from outside shop.we felt discomfort about their behavior to the guest who is in the hotel for the first time.
• Ronalde (6/5): Basic accommodation with parking at front door. - Good parking in a road with no through traffic. Helpful staff. Good to have a fridge in the room. Good dark curtains to minimise sunlight. The property is tired and not well maintained; broken chair, chipped furniture, wiring that appears a little questionable, fridge obstructs doorway to bathroom. Look out to a terrace belonging to next room with a broken wooden screen and dirty umbrella.

We had first floor room and was very noisy from the outside cars noise and we changed the room to the second floor where the noise was less and we were able to sleep . Thanks to the hotel service they changed our room! The room was small and the windows don’t provide much noise reduction. We like the location it’s very close to everything and many restaurants to eat ! The service was excellent! Very helpful people!
• Clara (4/5): - The pictures are deceiving, It feels like a prisión, we asked for two beds and they were so narrow that I almost fell down the bed when sleeping. There were not such as restaurant in the property for breakfast, we bought breakfast and we have to go another worse hotel and climb up 5 floors to have a very Turkish breakfast, only have boiled eggs that we like. For being in such as turist location and guests paying for it should have a better menu.

It’s an old building so obviously no lift and the spiral stairs may not be suitable for all but other than that it was a great spot to stop for a couple of nights.

Definitely worth the money Thin walls. You could hear someone coughing in the other room and the windows weren't very sound isolating. Got woken up at night a few times due to this reason...

The area is very quiet and peaceful, allowing you to step away from the crowds and find sanctuary. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room and premises very clean and well kept. I stayed for 2 weeks without a problem. I would definitely recommend and would stay again, if the opportunity arises.

The buffet breakfast was served in their sister hotel around the corner and was nothing short of excellent with a variety of delicious options. The Sultan Ahmet Square is just a few minutes walk from the hotel where you would find the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Museums nearby. There are shops, restaurants and cafes all around and the streets are beautifully cobbled.

Large tidy clean quiet basic room with all the usual facilities in working order. Windows to air the room during the day. Aircon and fridge really useful in the heat. Good bed, wifi and TV. Slight view of the Bosphorus. Good buffet breakfast available for extra charge. Handy to Sultan Ahmet sights and transport (uphill) and Bophorous promenade (downhill - about 30 minutes to Galata Bridge). Good value for money given the location.

Arven Hotel has a perfect location, in the historical centre of Istanbul, very close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bosphorus. The room was perfectly clean, equipped with everything basic a hotel room needs to have and the bathroom was in a excellent state. When it comes to the staff, everyone was very friendly, they helped us with practical tourist information, helped me organize a birthday surprise for my girlfriend, and offered us different tourist experiences, such as a wonderful boat cruise around the Bosphorus. Everyone is ready to answer your questions and help! Hotel and its staff were perfect. The only disturbing thing was the ezan heard from the mosques in the area early in the mornings. However, it was for short, and, to be honest, you can't avoid that in any Muslim country.
• IAN ROBERT (8/5): - Having read previous reviews, we were a bit nervous about arriving. However, for the price we paid (£25 per night) it was a reasonable hotel. Clean sheets and bathroom was clean. Staff were excellent and went above and beyond to assist us with an excursion we booked via them. Sound proofing is awful. You will constantly be woken up by people coming in and out as there is no sound proofing. It's like an echo chamber. Location is amazing. 5 min walk to Blue mosque etc. Overall, for the price, decent stay. If they invested in sound proofing it would be an excellent hotel.

Felt safe in a quiet neighborhood but at the same time a lot of commodities were at your doorstep. The room was a bit cold. Corridors are very narrow and felt an old building outside the room. Yet, the room itself is really beautiful, looks renovated and well maintained. The bathroom was very small but this was not a problem as long as it was very clean.

The price-performance ratio was great and the rooms were very clean. If you wanted they cleaned the room every day. The hotel is a bit noisy but this is not a problem.
