- Daphne (1/5): DRAMA - IK WERD ON THE SPOT WEGGESTUURD DOOR EEN TIENERMEISJE DAT ZICH VOORDEED ALS RECEPTIONIST, o nee, eerst drukt de hotelautomatische camera me weg, daarna komt een scharminkel aanrennen en stuurt me weg naar een ander hotel. Geen geld terug, niet zeuren, hop naar de volgende locatie! Niet bereikbaar voor klachten en dus totaal buitenproportioneel slecht geholpen

- Stephen (4/5): Incredible location, but the experience was low quality. - I enjoyed the balcony and many windows. Bed was comfortable. Bathtub was nice. The location is amazing. Many issues at the hotel room. The shower drain was clogged. Was not addressed. Coffee machine, and water boiler were dirty and had water in them. No furniture to store clothing. There was food left behind in the mini-fridge and it was unplugged. I requested they remove the food and it was not addressed.

- Lidia (4/5): Inhospitable, basic facilities hotel - Location No onsite staff, (outside time for check in), so when I arrived earlier there was no explanation for what to do. Rang bell and eventually got an answer and was let in (remotely). Room had no table; fridge wasn't turned on. Reluctant assistance on both these items when man finally appeared at 3pm (check in time). Very grumpy and unhelpful. Parking for car was in an open carpark about 800m away.
- Brenda (7/5): Goed bed ligging perfect maar de man bij uitcheck had niets met gastvrijheid te maken - Er was geen ontbijt De oudere man bij uitchecken; hij keek ons niet aan . Op zijn scherm zagen we een bingo game waar hij niet van af wilde. Wij wilden een praatje maken maar twee keer zei hij: een fijne zondag nog!
- van den Berg (7/5): Prima hotel qua locatie verwacht niet teveel - De ligging midden in de stad Eigenlijk geen faciliteiten. Er staat bij Booking.com dat her ontbijt ter plaatse te boeken is. Her hotel biedt helemaal geen ontbijt aan. Het hotel zelf is wat verouderd. Tevens kregen wij een mail dat parkeren maximaal 8.50 kost op P Oude Stad. Dat is dus 15 euro. Ook niet duur natuurlijk, maar toen in er de andere dag bij de receptie om vroeg wist men van niets. Verder is de kamer prima hoor, maar wel heeeel simpel en weinig uitstraling. Een mini koelkast (zonder inhoud) met daarop een losse nespresso en waterkoker wordt al een koffiebar genoemd. Er lag geen thee. Tja, het was prima zo voor een nachtje, zeker qua locatie maar wel erg simpel.

No apologies, no responsibility taken, no offer for solution or compensation, and when confronted about the manager admitted that he was aware of the problem but didn't think to inform me.
- Linda (7/5): We hebben het heel gezellig gehad. - De ruime kamer was fantastisch! Prima bed, een koelkastje aanwezig, en ook een hele ruime badkamer. Zo in de binnenstad, alles in de buurt was ook geweldig. En het hotel zelf is ook super chique, we voelde ons helemaal fancy! Dat er bij het inchecken niemand was om ons te verwelkomen. Daarbij was ik in de veronderstelling (door booking.com) dat we om 11.00u mochten uitchecken. Om 09.55u. bonkte er iemand keihard op de deur, we schrokken er echt van. Bij het openen van de kamer deur, stond daar iemand van het hotel en vertelde ons dwingend dat we om 10.00u. moesten uitchecken. Om 11.00u. uitchecken was volgens deze persoon, oude informatie. Wanneer iemand ons had ingecheckt, dan had hij/zij ons op dat moment, op een rustige manier, al kunnen vertellen dat we de volgende dag om 10.00u. het hotel moesten verlaten. Verder viel ons, de ochtend van vertrek, een hele smerige rook/sigaretten lucht op. En dat terwijl het niet roken kamers waren. Geen idee of dit door gasten of het personeel kwam, maar smerig was het wel!

- Ingo (1/5): Eine dreckige Absteige! Das schäbigste Hotel, in dem ich je war. - Die zentrale Lage. Die Klimaanlage hat zuerst nicht richtig geheizt, das Zimmer war bei der Ankunft sehr kalt und es hat lange gebraucht, bis es nicht mehr ganz kalt war, denn warm wurde das Zimmer nicht. Im WC-Raum gab es keine Heizung, so dass es dort immer kalt war. Die Dusche im separaten (von der Toilette getrenntem) Raum war dreckig, hier hat auch die Heizung nicht funktioniert und im Abfalleimer befanden sich noch die Abfälle vom vorherigen Besuch. Der Fußboden im Schlafzimmer war nicht gewischt und ein Loch in der Wand war verputzt aber nicht tapeziert, es sah schäbig aus. Ein Fenster hatte einen Riss. Im Flur vor dem Zimmer gab es keine Beleuchtung, so dass ich Nachts die Taschenlampe von meinem Handy benutzen musste, um die Tür aufzuschließen. Der Hotelmanager hat mir zugesichert, mir beim Checkout einen Preisnachlass zu gewähren, weil es zu kalt war. Dieser Hotelmanager war dann beim checkout nicht mehr aufzufinden und die Kolleginnen haben sich dumm gestellt. Wenn ich das nächste mal in Nijmegen sein sollte und de Gulden Waagen als einziges Hotel noch Zimmer frei hätte, dann würde ich es vorziehen, im Auto zu übernachten. Booking.com sollte dieses Hotel aus seinem Angebot nehmen.

- Barbara (7/5): Zo mooie locatie midden in het hart van Nijmegen - Prima locatie midden in het centrum van Nijmegen Ik vond het jammer dat er niemand persoonlijk aanwezig was bij de receptie toen we aankwamen. Het was wel goed geregeld. telefonisch was de communicatie iets wat stroef. Maar face to face was het prima.

- van Rossum (4/5): - Mooie locatie in de stad. Fijn ontvangst aan de balie. We zaten niet in het hotel zelf, maar kregen we een sleutel van een paar deuren verderop. Daar moesten we een smalle donkere trap op en werden we in een kamer naar boven gestuurd. Deze kamer leek niets op de foto's. Losse elektra draden, tv werkte niet, beschimmelde kozijnen boven het bed, wasbakje in de slaapkamer zo klein dat je er bijna geen gebruik van kon maken. Badkamer lekte, daardoor kwam de vloer helemaal omhoog in de kamer.
- Mark (5/5): Een hotel dat teert op zijn geweldige ligging, maar dringend liefde en aandacht nodig heeft. - De ligging, pontificaal in het oude centrum, is geweldig. Maar jammer genoeg is daarmee alles gezegd. De kamer heeft ramen met enkele beglazing, wat in het najaar (met nachtvorst) niet erg comfortabel is. Bij gebrek aan een werkende verwarming was het ronduit koud op de kamer. Die kou zorgt voor schimmelvorming in de badkamer, want ook daar deed de verwarming het niet. De badkamer is overigens niet erg handig ingedeeld, waardoor het behelpen is met zowel het gebruik van het toilet (tussen twee muren gepropt) als de douche (tijdens het gebruik is het onvermijdelijk dat de badkamervloer nat wordt). Ook zat er van alles los (deurkrukken, wc-rol houder, kapstokhaakjes), wiebelde een van de nachtkastjes en was het hoofdbord van het bed beschadigd. Alles bij elkaar gaf de kamer een uitgewoonde indruk.

- Hilco (1/5): Grootste deceptie ooit in een hotel - De kamer was niet schoongemaakt: overal lagen stofwolken en op de spiegel zaten nog resten toiletpapier waarmee eerder was afgeveegd. Er lagen gebruikte zeepjes en shampooflesjes, er hingen spinnenwebben en de lakens waren niet schoon. Daarnaast hing er een onaangename geur van rook en zweet. 10.00 uur uitchecken terwijl anders vermeldt initieel. Het is schandalig dat dit hotel onder deze omstandigheden open mag blijven.
