Guest Reviews
- H (10/5): Clean, quiet, and affordable place to stay. - What I liked about the property was that it was clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. I didn’t notice anything negative about the property yet.
- Cynthia (6/5): -
- Marcia Helena (8/5): - Di custo-benefício Do check in. Muito complicado
- Colleen (4/5): They set it and forget it- and never respond to you here. - You can see the race track from the parking lot. It used to be stalls and it still feels like stalls.
The bed broke while we were sleeping, the heat was on high in every room with the windows open and there are no thermostats in the individual rooms. The door lock was useless. Some part was missing so the code didn’t work. Contacted the hotel to get help and left messages thru booking.com and they NEVER responded.
- Elton (10/5): -
- Jacques (9/5): -
- Joshua (5/5): - Comforting Broken shower head
- Joshua (10/5): - The style No fresh coffee
- Walker (10/5): This is worth the wait for the experience. - I LIKE HOW CLOSE IT IS TO THE CASINO. I ALSO LIKE THE FACT ITS CONTACTLESS ARRIVAL AND.DEPARTURE. I didnt like that there is no microwaves to make popcorn.
- Danielle (7/5): Great stay for the price and convenient to town. - Heat vents need to be cleaned
- Gonzalez (10/5): -
- Olive (6/5): It was OK and worth the 80 bucks I guess, could've been cheaper - The esthetic was nice Tv was wonky and kept turning channels and turning itself off. One of the light fixtures didn't work. When booking the place it says hotel and not motel. I was told over the phone that there would be staff on sight and there was not

- Mary (6/5): It was pleasantly quiet. I liked hear the clop, clop of the horses on the road in the morning. - There was no breakfast. I think having the name HOTEL in the name was a little inappropriate because it felt like it was a previous MOTEL. The bed was comfortable but there was a few items under the fridge cabinet and on the carpet that had not been picked up/vacuumed... It was tastefully and pleasantly decorated. I didn't like signing up for a new company and having to get a code to get in. Paige was delightful and the other fellow tried to help... Not a good choice for non-tech friendly people who are SO OVER having to go online or on their cell phones...

- Liz (10/5): Quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced, and right next to the track. A horse lover’s dream! - I love this hotel because it was right next to the back stretch gate at the track. The horses came by in the morning right along the street. I could leave my car at the hotel and walk to the track and not have to pay for parking there. There are horse stables all around, but it’s still clean and private. Nice casual restaurant and bar right across the street. The bed was super comfortable and there were a little extras like candies and granola bars. I will definitely stay here again. It’s also more reasonably priced than anywhere else in town and yet has one of the best locations right next to the track! There’s nothing I didn’t like about this property. I loved everything and it was a real treat to stay there so close to the horses and the track action yet quiet and private.
- Marc (8/5): -
- Hovy (9/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): Great location and easy process - Convenient location, and easy check in. bathroom was great and bed was super comfy Room lacked amenities. Only one nightstand, no convenient mirror.
- Sabrina (9/5): Lovely stay, will be back next year! - Across the street from the track. Lovely restaurant next door, all of the staff were excellent.
- David (1/5): -
- Richard (6/5): - Walking distance to racetrack

- K.C. (4/5): If the room is equipped, you'll be fine. But if there are any problems, you'll be on your own. - The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the temperature was warm while quite cold outside. The television, refrigerator, and wifi worked. The room was modern. I appreciated the electric kettle, which I used to make tea in the morning. There was no toilet paper, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were completely empty, and the shower faucet handle didn't operate properly. There are no personnel on site (which I understood prior to arriving), but all attempts to reach a human by contacting the hotline (during the hours they stated) were left unreturned (both voicemails and texts). All I needed was some toilet paper and something to wash my hair with (I could rig the shower faucet to work). I couldn't help but worry about how I would alert them if there was an emergency (room flooded, heat stopped, etc.)
- Debra (10/5): Will book again when I'm Saratoga! -
- Chelsea (6/5): - No control of the heat in the room. I slept with all the windows open, no blankets and still felt like I was in a sauna
- Marshall (5/5): - Location and price There was no toilet paper in the room/bathroom. There are no controls for the heat which was sweltering. We had to sleep with the windows open which is not ideal in the dead of winter.
- YAQUB (9/5): Perfect Value for Money. Cute Hotel! - It was cute. It was 19F outside. But the Heat was running to some 80F and we have to open Windows to keep it cool! Heat
- Brian (8/5): - Location and price were outstanding!
- Dana (10/5): -
- Steven (8/5): -
- Tugba (8/5): Great spot for a short stay at a very good value. - Check in was seamless, room had the basics we needed for a short stay. Bed was a little soft for my liking.
- Kevin (7/5): Great location, good off-season pricing, with some improvements needed - Great location relative to downtown Saratoga and highway. Good wintertime/off-racing-season prices. Comfortable beds. Easy, convenient parking right outside door. I’m in Saratoga often and stayed here four times. All in winter. It’s too expensive during racing season. No human interaction with staff at all. Online only check-in and the process is confusing and almost seems sketchy at first. Not a fan of uploading my drivers license to an unknown website and don’t want to download an app for one hotel. Anytime I’ve had to call the hotel I always get an offshore call center.
Rooms are decently clean, uncomfortably hot in the winter with no way to control the temperature. Had to pile stuff on top of the floor vents to block some of the hot air and still too hot. Last time here both the shampoo and conditioner bottles attached to the shower wall were empty. Be sure to bring your own.
- Mary Jane (8/5): Pleasant! - It was very clean and the room was very quaint. We enjoyed the bar and grill across the street. The temperature in the room was way to hot. There was no way to regulate it.
- Jennifer (8/5): I recommend the hotel for a romantic stay or a leisurely weekend we were touched to enjoy - I loves how quaint and vintage yet modern it was . The owner was really night . The beds were super cozy . The location to the track was amazing and also 4 mins to my daughter’s cheer . Checkout was 11 which is convenient : the bunk beds were huge and my daughter said the pillows were amazing Someone being on property we came into a quarter roll of toilet paper . Not being able to control your own heat it was a little chilly in there . They had tea and coffee but no sugar or creamer or milk so you couldn’t really use it
- Zachary (8/5): -
- Lee (7/5): -
- Stanley (9/5): Great value - Location to casino and Mexican Connection restaurant was perfect. Price was unbeatable. Cute.
- Micah (5/5): Generally fine, but a terrible night of sleep due to the temperature. - While the rooms are small, the beds were quite comfortable and the bathrooms well stocked with amenities. The location was also decent. The main issues were the Wifi (which cut out regularly), an off smell to the towels and worst of all the heat was aggressively hot. The temperature outside was in the single digits but even with every window open as much as possible it was difficult to sleep even without any blankets or clothes on, and there was no ability to turn out the heat or shut off the vents.
- Barnaby (8/5): -
- Alfreda (8/5): - The room was clean, the bathroom was nice it had a walk in shower was not expecting that. No microwave, the fire alarm went off at 1:30 in the am and again at 5:00 am.
- France (6/5): Bon pour 2 personnes et non 4 - 3 lits Manque de couverture, pas de chaise
- Jeffrey (8/5): -
- warren (6/5): adequate...price very good - location, value was very good...room was very clean..beds were very comfortable..bathroom tiled with very nice shampoo,,conditioner..body wash...quiet at the time i stayed there....bath towels...or should say bath sheets...better towels than when I stayed at the Hilton...total surprise....nice selection of items using hot water...door lock system nice...Tv very nice...could be a little bigger no coffee pot..no microwave..no chairs to sit down.....refrigerator available..room always very cool...had to call office number to get more heat...temperature thermostat not in service located in room..missed microwave because I am diabetic and like my breakfast sandwiches in the morning
- Christopher (10/5): -
- Riviello (6/5): -
- Itala (10/5): -
- Mauricio Salcedo Alvarez (9/5): Very good experience, easy access from/to I87 -
- Robin (8/5): Small room, but everything you need - Surprisingly well-appointed and comfortable. Lots of little charms, like a lovely notebook and cute fixtures. Very clean. Room was a bit warm with no temp controls. But far from town.
- Ken (9/5): -
- Joshua (9/5): -
- Brad (10/5): -
- Gailor (10/5): -
- Elton (10/5): -
- Milagros (9/5): -
- Martin (9/5): - Great for what it is. Can’t adjust temperature and it was too warm at night. Had to open windows even though it was almost freezing. One reading light didn’t work and nightstands were tiny.
- Manuela (8/5): -
- Adam (4/5): Not what it used to be - This used to be a sweet place, with friendly owners who tended a nice outdoor fire pit and a cozy indoor bar for guests. Now it’s run without staff on site. The bar and fire pit are abandoned. The rooms have ice cold, bright daylight bulbs in the lamps.
- Charles (8/5): It was nice and a great value - The price and location The inability to get in
- Polina (9/5): Comfortable and pleasant stay - The stay was overall comfortable and pleasant. The hotel was easy to find, parking was convenient, and check-in was smooth. The room and bathroom were clean and well-kept, although a few small details could be improved. Despite minor issues, it was a good experience and a quiet place to stay.
Pros:
Easy to find with clear check-in instructions
Plenty of parking
Clean room and bathroom
Quiet and peaceful area
Comfortable stay overall Cons (these are picky points, but still):
Some personal belongings from cleaning staff left in the room at check-in
Creepy paintings in the room
Odd smell of provided toiletries (lemon or neutral smell would be better)
Price varies a lot between weekdays and weekends
- Blum (8/5): Perfect for what we needed. - I like the easy check-in. I liked the bed and bedding. I liked the shower. I like the snacks for us. I like the price. I love the easy checkin. The rooms could be a little bigger but I know that is not possible. It wouldn't keep me from coming back. I had to make extra effort by calling and leaving messages and emailing to let me check in late around 10:30pm. I wish that would have been easier.
- Caitlin (5/5): -
- Kathleen (7/5): - Room was small and dark
- Sherry (10/5): -
- Laurie (8/5): -
- Tatiana Benchik (8/5): -
- Laurie (8/5): -
- Lily (8/5): -
- Mark (7/5): The location worked for us and the room was clean. - Everywhere we needed to go while staying there was a quick drive away. You might wake up to the clip-clop of horses in the morning :o) Communication could have been better in regards to what to expect when you check in. On the day of your stay, you get an email with the code to get into your room. My code didn't work, and luckily, another guest that had the same problem gave me a number to call. I was given a new code, and it was fine after that. I could see where someone that isn't tech savvy would be frustrated.
There is a restaurant/bar across the road that was loud. We were going to a concert at SPAC, so we were not around to be bothered by it. If you are looking for a quiet spot, this may not be the place for you during the warmer months.
- Myrna (10/5): -
- Thomas D (9/5): Would definitely look to stay at the Brentwood Hotel again next year - Location is fabulous Could be kept up a little better, no one on property to help but they did respond to text messages
- Christine (1/5): - Brentwood was closed and unresponsive when we arrived
- Teresa (1/5): Horrible to work with - Nothing, we were unable to access our room with the pass code that was sent to us. Not only was it my husband and myself but other guest as well . Called the phone number that was sent to us , no one answered have sent many many emails still no response from anyone. Absolutely nothing
- Rodney (1/5): Do Not Stay Here - Absolutely nothing.... We ended up leaving after an hour and a half & found a nicer safer place to stay Absolutely everything.... The key code didn't work and there was no one on site to help & had to call a number in California for help. 2 other couples had the same issue after us, in which one of the couples ended up leaving as well.
- Ian (8/5): -
- Renee (10/5): A fantastic experience for race fans! - If you are a racing fan look no further- you can walk out of your room and watch horses walk by tacked up on their way to train in the morning. There was plenty of parking and if you are into walking it was a short walk to downtown- I didn't bother to bring the car. There is a nice bar across the strett with live music- it was nice to enjoy outside the room but you could not hear it inside.
- O'Hara (7/5): Clea and comfortable but not what we expected. - The room was comfortable and clean for a one night stay. Considering the prices of other lodging in Saratoga when any type of event is going on it was a good price. Pictures of the property on the website are not up to date. Brentwood should be considered a motel and not a hotel and needs some updates. The room was very small. My husband stubbed his toe on the bed walking out of the bathroom. Whoever took their pictures is an amazing photographer.
- David (2/5): Terrible experience - We were left stranded on the day of a wedding because although this establishment is contactless and doesn’t have a “front desk” nothing was communicated to us giving instructions to our reserved room. We were left to change into wedding attire in a local Starbucks bathroom because no one associated with this establishment would answer a call, email or text.
- Arthur (1/5): we went to a different hotel for the night, and I will be telling everyone I know worldwide not to do business with the - There was nothing to like, because the company changed the terms and conditions of my confirmed reservation by requiring me to put my drivers license through a third-party company whose privacy policy allowed them to distribute my license to third-party affiliates of theirs, and it even mentioned being able to use the information I gave them overseas. Completely unacceptable. What really got me was that there was no way to communicate with the owners. They sent me several emails and asked me to reply, and I did three or four times, including leaving a message on their telephone, and they never contacted me at all.
I even offered to send my drivers license specifically to the owner so they could check it, but they insisted through later emails that I go through their third-party company who was going to share my license in an unacceptable matter.
I will be challenging this charge on my credit card, because they modified the contract after the reservation was confirmed.
- Douglas (8/5): - cute decor bathroom much too dark
Couldn't see well enough to shave even though all the lights were on at full brightness
- Debbie (6/5): - No staff on premises is fine if there’s no problem but if there is, out of luck. Contact number mailbox full and text with our issue unanswered four hours later. Let’s see if we ever get a response.
- Andrew (7/5): Solid place near the track - Nice room that accomodates multiple adults. Comfortable beds Cocktail bar was closed. Hotel grounds could use a little TLC
- Dan (10/5): - Clean, quiet and very comfortable.
No staff, easiest check in and out that I ever experienced. I will definitely be back again.
- Noriko (8/5): -
- Bryan (9/5): -
- Rinalds (9/5): -
- Gómez (10/5): -
- Richard Jorio (9/5): Perfect track season location. - Clean with nostalgic Adirondack decor, excellent shower. My only negative would be that it is across the street from the Horseshoe which features live music that can be quite loud. Otherwise a great choice for a visit Great place to stay,no complaints.
- Paul (10/5): Very nice stay. Will come back next year - The view from our room was espectacular Watching the horses going by was the best. I will come back back next year and will
Stay longer
- Mark (10/5): - Proximity to Saratoga Racecourse.
- Peter (10/5): -
