Jodie (2/5): Pet urine stench. - Balcony with ocean view was nice. Kitchen was stocked well. Good location. The room was not ready until close to 430 even though check in was at 400pm. Room temp was very warm and no way to cool it other than opening up balcony door and bedroom window. Many stains on sofa couch and when pulled out, sand all over bedding. OVERWHELMING pet urine smell especially on sofa couch. We let management know, they offered deodorizers but that can make things worse. If we could have found another place to stay the weekend we would have. We had to keep door and window open just to tolerate the urine smell. Sofa bed was uncomfortable as a sofa and as a bed. Extremely disappointed that even after waiting for room to be cleaned and late check-in, the floors were very dirty and sandy. I would not stay here again. If you have to wait for staff to clean your room, maybe you need more staff? And maybe get rid of urine soaked sofa and carpet?

Janetta (8/5): Great location and a great set up for a small family - The location was great and we really enjoyed the use of the pool. The view was amazing and the roar of the waves were a perfect background while relaxing in the room. It was well stocked with kitchen items and games and the sofa bed worked well for the 11 yr old twin boys. The walk to the beach was quick and easy and the residents were very helpful. There were also plenty of towels available for pool and showering. I was able to bring my dog with us and the charge was very reasonable! I didn't receive the pin number for the room but the evening help line was very nice and helpful. The linens were not the best but they did the job.

Linda (5/5): Way too expensive for what we got. - Room 358 had an extremely uncomfortable sofa sleeper with stains that seemed unsanitary. Your listing said 2 beds. It was disappointing. The other room was supposed to have 1 bed and 2 futons. It had one bed and a Murphy bed in the wall. My son slept on the couch and his daughters used the bed. It had nicer amenities. We felt we paid entirely too much money for what we got. A good amount of misrepresentation on your website. I won't book reservations through the website again. We tried to create a pad to cover the stains on the with a blanket, and it smelled like dirty feet. We used folded sheets. The other bed was like a pullout hospital chair. Also extremely uncomfortable. Not what we expected to pay so much money. This was a birthday trip for our daughter and she could hardly sleep. Do you inspect the properties you rent?

The whole apartment was very grimy from mold in the shower doors, to food stuck to the ground under the rug, from dirty tissues that were under the pull out couch, from the kitchen cabinet door hanging off, to the bed that was dirty. The view is GREAT! But overall the cleanliness was not there, my family and I didn't even feel comfortable enough sleeping on the beds that we went out and bought blankets and pillows of our own to sleep with.

When I found out we did not get a code to enter the room. It was impossible to get help. The fireplace and hot tub did not work. The pool was closed for cleaning the 2nd day.

Cervantes (8/5): Conveniently located beautiful oceanfront accommodations - The location was great and the unit was well appointed with plenty of towels, pillows, little soaps, and available streaming services. We really appreciated being offered an extra night at a discounted rate, which we took advantage of. It would have been much easier to have an elevator staying on the third floor, but the view made it worth the inconvenience. The spa was unavailable during our stay and the pool was much colder than we expected. My husband and I liked the bed, but our children complained that the pull outs in the living room were very uncomfortable. There were things available in the unit like a convertible dining table and folding chairs as well as pillows and blankets for the pull out that we happened to find during our stay, but it would have been more helpful if the availability of these items had been communicated.

Melinda (10/5): Pet friendly condo 2 bathrooms! - Cute pet friendly condo with ocean view. Had a full kitchen and everything we needed to make a big meal and eat together at the dinner table. We loved that the place has 2 full bathrooms. The hot water gets really hot so be careful with little ones. The hot tub was not operational when we were there but we still enjoyed the pool. There is easy beach access across the street and we didn’t have any problems with parking. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The living area had a gas fireplace we enjoyed in the evenings and early mornings. We have a pleasant stay.

Kyrsten (8/5): Comfortable getaway - Room was very clean and comfortable. Pool was clean and enjoyable. The spa is closed for repairs, but they were upfront about that. Beach access was nice and patio has a lovely view. Parking was unavailable the first night, but they did warn that this can happen on busy weekends. Overall it was a great experience and provided a comfortable home away from home. There is a nice collection of games and movies and the kitchen was stocked with essential dishes and utensils.

Someone was banging the wall or door next to me early in morning! I would have liked another coffee packet. I just reheat from the pot the previous day, but it was not as good.

They did accommodate my request for a late checkout with no extra charge. The photos make the rooms appear much larger than actual size.

Their idea if clean is superficial, cabinets not wiped down, pink mold in showers, the vacuum in unit was full of sand and dirt. Couldnt even use it. I have traveled the entire country and i would never ever book here again. Like a cheap apartment complex. They also dont tell you until after you book that the hot tub is broken.

Demanding an additional lease be signed after booking not disclosed in the listing with and in violation of Microsoft Expedia policy (reported). Wanting us to check in late for their convenience and out early for same. Poorly maintained property as well. Master shower was broken and non-functioning, balcony screen door literally fell out on me, and both the WiFi and the bedroom TV went in and out. If these things including the policies and presentations thereof it wouldn't be a bad place to stay. But as it stands I cannot recommend Surftides.

My only and biggest issue was that I was not informed that the room was on the 3rd floor. With my current injuries it made it very difficult. I would’ve loved to know that there was no elevator. I spent alot of my time recovering from it.

The room was great the only thing that was odd to us- was the slider door didn’t lock (they had a stick to put in it) but it is just one of those peace of mind things knowing the door is also locked as this room is on the ground floor. There was everything we could have needed in the kitchen. It was a great stay and we would go back here again for sure!

Denise (6/5): Not worth the $$ - Not impressed! We have previously stayed in the Sun of a Beach condo at this facility. Love this room and all its amenities!! We were unable to get that condo for our stay so we decided to chose another condo. Won't do that again. The room was dirty, the cooking dishes and utensils are in need of replacement, there's no dishwasher, the room was extremely hot even with the heat turned off, the chairs on the patio are extremely rusted, and the "new mattress" on the sofa bed is still in the plastic. Very annoying to sleep on, especially for a teenager! Extremely disappointed in our visit. And the description of the rooms need to be changed. There is no hot tubs in any of the rooms nor do you have private entries.

The only 2 problems we had was after we got in with the code, we couldn't lock it while we were out, made me very nervous coming back. Second was ,in the picture the bed was facing toward the window to see the view. The beds were in the back. Also the second bathroom, the water didn't turn hot. Perfect location to. Sorry last thing was it was noisy during the day, when people were running the chandler shook.

We are not computer savvy, so TV system was confusing for us. We didn't receive an e-mail about how to check into the room, so when we arrived, the office was closed. We called the tel no on the door and the lady was very helpful and nice. She said an e-mail was sent to us Dec. 14 telling what code to use to open the apartment door. If we'd received the message, it wouln't have been a problem. Also, we are in our 70's and our room was on the 2nd floor and it was hard to cart all of our belongings up/down to the room. Next time, we will request a 1st floor room.

Otherwise loved the view of the ocean watching the King Tides from the balcony was amazing. Keyless entry was useful because we didn't have to worry about losing a keycard or having to bother the staff to check in or check out. We felt very safe and enjoyed our stay.

Room 259 did not have any cutting knives and very limited kitchen provisions Room 261- the shower was absolutley DISGUSTING! The remotes to the TV's did not work. WE were able to get a new one and get it programmed for the front room television Room 358- Adequate, very old TV's no streaming The pool was FREEZING and dirty. My family had to pull hair off our young ones (that could tolerate the cold water) that had been floating around in the pool. Definitely the pool had not been cleaned and the circulation suystem mut be broken. The Hot Tub was adequate There is nothing that indicates you only get provided coffee for one day. Had to buy our won, as it states in the booklet in the room tht they do no provide coffee after the first ay

Kary (8/5): - The management was very courteous and professional. Unfortunately, the room I stayed in 161 was terrible. You could hear the people above you talking and walking around like they were going to fall through the ceiling. The person above me was up until 330 in the morning partying with others so no sleep and then was talked to by the management and stopped for one night, then began on the last night so no sleep. Hours were posted all over that it was quiet between 10pm and 8am. I got the short end of the straw on this trip.

Next door couple left their dog barking in the bathroom every day until 10:00 PM! People upstairs left their dog outside on the balcony to bark! & shed like crazy! Tried to engage in conversation…not interested. The office was frequently closed, and a couple of staff weren’t interested in much of anything. Including watching an old man let his dog poop in front of the office every day! We were there 2 weeks. The exact amt of coffee filters (14) were left on the counter to end up flat! So difficult to use. How silly to count exact amount. Had to buy coffee. It would have had to be in the room if it was rented on daily basis, so at least cover amt of days I’m staying. This is the first place we weren’t able to get coffee for the duration of our stay. Heater didn’t work. Girl came from office, had to keep the cover off & squeeze hose for gas!!! Forget it! She had no idea what was wrong. Said someone came & fixed it a while ago. NOT! Bathroom fan was so very loud! Thought the whole thing was going to come down! Again…girl at office had no idea what to do! Upstairs fan had same problem. Had to listen to that all times of day! Thank goodness we’re not the kind of people that fold in stressful times! We went on to enjoy our vacation. We know now that this place was way too expensive for what you get & have to endure! We’ll NEVER stay here again or recommend it!
sandie (8/5): Cozy place - This cute little condo was perfect for our anniversary getaway. It was clean and well appointed in the kitchen and bathrooms. There was a king bed in the one bedroom that was not as comfy as it should have been, but not terrible. There was a sleeper sofa in the living room,but we didnt use that. The view was wonderful!! Overall we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this property!

Phipps (9/5): Beautiful dog friendly location that I will definitely stay at when I go to visit again. - The location was perfect! We could see and hear the ocean all the time and the condo was very nicely decorated and comfortable. I really liked that there were games and puzzles and other things to do while in the condo as well. The kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking meals. The Kuerig was a plus, but it was missing the part that made it so you could use K Cups. Luckily my daughter had one she wasn't using and was able to bring that to me to use when she came to visit. The manager was super helpful when I talked to her after our stay. The knobs on the stove would turn on if anyone walked near it. That was a little bit of a hazard with little kids visiting. It was the end of the season so the condo could have used a deep clean, but that's to be expected the time of year when we were staying. One suggestion I have would be to install handrails all the way down the trail to the beach. There were some at the top, but not towards the bottom and it was a little steep and the asphalt was a little slick at times. This didn't really have anything to do with the condo itself though. There wasn't anything to keep me from staying there again.

Deborah (9/5): Surftides Plaza Rental Staff a 10 - The staff were quick to answer correspondence and easy to work with. We extended our stay w/o any problems, a couple of times. We had 2 condos, 1 w/ a dog, 1 w/o. It was nice to find out that the water was changed in the hot tub at the beginning of the week. The look of the carpets in the w/dogs really could have used a good cleaning. It was hard to tell which photos went to which rental on the website.
