• zainab (3/5): very unpleasant - The breakfast was very mediocre, I prefer the Cape Sun Southern Sun, the breakfast is the best, the room meets every expectation. The breakfast at the southern sun waterfront was extremely limited, had to wait to long for our order and the hotel was not even that full. the selection on the breakfast table was very limited. I went with my sister, both our families shared different room. Both her bathroom and my bathroom had nails creeping out at the entrance of the bathroom. Both our daughters stepped in to the sharp nail, my sister was reimbursed, my complained just went unnoticed, i wont ever frequent this hotel again or recommend it to family and friends.

• Howard (1/5): The people working here should get training so that they would know what they are doing. - We checked in on May 14 and we asked the clerk who helped us if we can stay in the same room after the two days that we have booked because we are staying for an extra four days with a tour company and that it would be much better if we didn’t have to pack and check out and then wait for another room to be ready. The clerk said we can stay in the same room. We asked if there was extra charge and he said no. So we were happy. I would have given them an excellent review except we got a phone call on the 16 th while we were out sightseeing seeing. They told us we had to check out of our room and go to another room because our tour group had booked an inferior room to the one I had booked. So we had to leave our group of friends in the middle of our sightseeing and rush back and packed like mad in order to get checked out. I was ok to checkout and go to another room if they had given me the correct information but this interruption during our outing left me with a really bad taste. The rooms a tiny.

• 682harrist (6/5): A nice property, convienient to the waterfront with lots of services. - Hotel staff is incredibly friendly and the property is very clean however a few very disappointing things: 1. Our room while cleaned was not properly setup. No water bottles, no conditioner, towels for one person only. 2. No outlets in the bathroom 3. Electric outlets inky at one of the nightstands next to the bed 4. No rack for a suitcase in the room 5. When brought up the amenities were not what I expected. The body wash and shampoo were 99% water, generated no suds and the conditioner while thick to come out of the bottle, had no body once put in my hair, again to high a water content. Solving simple things like the amenities in the room would clearly give it 4 stars.

No activities, especially during a weekend like "two oceans". Also the person who was cleaning my room did not check behind the curtains. There were old forks and knives probably from a prior visit.

There are also shuttle services to the Waterfront, so no need to worry about driving. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It was also really convenient having a lovely restaurant inside the hotel, so we didn’t always have to go out for meals. Would definitely stay here again!

When we get off the lifts, there is always a musty and stale smell. The bathrooms were extremely small. The shower drizzled water and we could not have a good shower after a flight or long day out. Shower cubicle was old and rusty. Cupboard was old and damaged. Looked rather unkempt. Serious upgrades are needed.
