Guest Reviews
- Nigel (8/5): A thoroughly enjoyable stay and met all our expectations, would not hesitate to stay again. - Very comfortable and all the facilities we required.
Super swimming pool. A little busy at times with a large number of health club members and children.
- Marco (8/5): Really nice hotel but staff needs to get better. - Fitness facility is really amazing. Very big gym and a pretty nice swimming pool.
The room was big enough and nice.
Every day there were 2 bottles of water in my room.
Parking gets quite busy but big enough for everyone.
Golf courts are amazing. Staff was not really kind to me. When arrived they didn't explain anything about fitness facilities, restaurants and where my room was.
I had dinner one night at the restaurant, food was ok, but service worst thing ever. I had to pay before getting the food on my table, never seen anything like this before.
SPA was closed for that week but this was not mentioned during reservation....
- Richard (10/5): Perfect stay for a comfortable business trip. - Very well equipped room with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The room was immaculately clean and this standard was maintained throughout my stay. I marked down on the value for money as it was expensive. At this price, I feel breakfast could have been offered
- Reena (9/5): - The water in shower smelt off shit
- Michael (7/5): - Excellent swimming pool Food was poor
- louise (10/5): -
- Ismail (10/5): Highly recommend - Excellent room, breakfast and atmosphere.
- Shaun (10/5): - Excellent gym and pool facilities. Friendly staff. Rooms are large, modern and comfortable.
- tyron (10/5): -
- LilacJays (4/5): Sadly a disappointing stay - Sadly a disappointing stay. Arrived late to check in for a reserved double room and as the last person to check in that night, I was obviously allocated whatever was left, which proved to be disappointing and not what I had expected from the pictures of the room and description at the time I had booked online. I was offered drink tokens to make up for it, which, as I wasn’t going to the bar or looking for a drink, further disappointed. As the hotel was full there was no chance of a different or even upgraded room.
I have to stay around Warwick for a number of days a month so will continue my search for a better hotel that can also offer a corporate rate. A real shame, had high expectations which were sadly dashed.
- Anthony (8/5): - Everything about this hotel was fine a little manic at breakfast time but overall our stay at the Warwickshire was good.
- Simran Kaur (4/5): Wasn’t as good as previous stays here and not sure whether I’d return after this experience. - Comfortable beds, decent swimming pool/jacuzzi facilities. The bathroom smelt like sewage, very disgusting smell as soon as we entered the room. The outside drinks patio was being refurbed which is fine but this wasn’t disclosed when booking which is disappointing as the weather was nice so would have been good to know ahead of time. From 7am in the morning we was woken up by the noise of several trolleys/cages being moved constantly which was very annoying and ruined our sleep.
- Robert (8/5): Very pleasant stay - The room was a decent size with good views. The shower in the bathroom was very powerful. Breakfast was quite good but dependant on when you arrived. Very convenient for Warwick when travelling from the north. A fridge in the room would have been good. The hot breakfast was dependant on when you arrived with trays of food not being topped up until almost empty
- PATRICK (7/5): Could recommend for sports and spa but not for families - Very pleasant grounds, nice clean rooms, friendly staff. The Hotel is not really a hotel in the traditional sense of the word, it’s a sports club with attached rooms rather than a hotel.
Great choice for golfers and local fitness fanatics but not greatly attractive to families.
Rooms are disconnected from facilities.
Entry is via key controlled system to the shared sports facilities/bar and restaurant and there is no room service after 9pm.
- teacherman_9 (2/5): This is for the hotel not the golf course. - The golf course was fantastic.
The hotel Jeeesss.
Problems started as soon as we walked in. We booked an 8pm meal. The staff tried to move to 7pm. They explained why it was far more convenient for them to serves at 7pm. Despite the fact in booked for 8pm as I wanted to watch the football.
The whole dining experience was poor. Meal was poor quality for the price paid. Bruschetta was so basic. Then the main meal was chicken and chips. With no upgrade option. No dessert.
No waiting service at the table you had to go to the bar. The bar service was really poor and took ages to get served as only one person on the bar.
Got back to the room. It stank of sewage. Called the receptionist in. Offered a drink voucher (I'm going to bed). Even then was trying show horn us into a breakfast slot at 7am. (I'm on holiday stop trying to wake me up so early for your benefit). Said no way and I will go for breakfast when I like. I'm paying.
So here I am. Say in my room stinking of sewage.
Night. Looking forward to golf tomorrow though.
- Sally (8/5): Nice spacious hotel with very helpful staff. - Beautiful grounds. Bed rooms a good size and excellent shower First day breakfast was very busy. Ran out of the fruit bowl totally which was annoying. 2nd day less busy but no scramble eggs. Bit of a poor show.
- Malcolm (10/5): -
- Lorna (7/5): Great for a stopover - not great for everything else. - Continent for travel. The rooms all facing the parking when you’re on a magnificent site.
- Catherine (10/5): A gem of a hotel with first class leisure facilities and exceptional customer service. We will definitely stay again! - It was absolutely outstanding, the grounds were stunning, the hospitality was amazing and the facilities were top quality.
We really enjoyed the pool and spa area and the restaurant food was delicious.
Special mention for Cary who was running the restaurant, absolutely fabulous customer care which went above and beyond the usual hotel offering. Nothing. It far exceeded our expectations!
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Cunningham (8/5): Good Experience - Staff - in partticular Elliot and Jack who were in the restaurant at breakfast were charming and very helpful, a credit to the hotel. extractor fan in bathroom not working
strong smell from drains
TV had to be manually tuned every time I wanted to watch it
- Wanderlust220212 (2/5): Club membership - Decided to end our health club membership.
5 years ago when we joined the cost was £80 each per month which was expensive compared to others but we liked it and felt comfortable there.
Since then their prices have risen by 75% to £139 each per month. Only difference is they are building an outdoor pool, however, that does not justify the prices.
We have found an alternative hotel offering the same facilities but has a spa too for £50 each per month so off we go.
Warwickshire got too greedy charging 5* for 4*
- Nicolette (7/5): Room was clean. - Breakfast didnt live up to expectations. Staff need more training in bar and restaurants. Most tables in bar had dirty cups, glasses plates left on them. Staff walked passed them and it wasnt busy. Messy bar areas
- Nenad (10/5): -
- oomerjee (8/5): Nice place - Facilities and room Breakfast was poor and cold
- Andrew (10/5): - Hotel was beautiful, great stay
- Lee (8/5): - This one night was followed by additional 2 night stay as part of a larger group golf booking, very disappointed by closing times of bar (considering the Master was on) and the bar running out of two lagers and guiness, considering we were not the only golf group there and the masters was on I would have thought someone would have had the foresight to plan accordingly for these things
- GEMMA (8/5): Great location, lovely setting and good facilities. - Good facilities and great location. Nice setting! My bed was 2 singles pushed together and it wasn't comfortable to sleep over the join. We also sat in the private area for breakfast and after we sat down to eat, somebody came and moved us 'as it shouldn't have been open'. Lack of staff in the restaurant at mealtimes.
- Leslie (10/5): -
- Adam (9/5): All in all it was very good except for the above. - Almost everything was perfect. The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the bar ran out of quite a few things leaving us limited on drinks. Also the bar shut at 11 on Sunday when its masters Sunday and there was at least 50 people in the bar willing to spend.
- Explore61965247044 (2/5): Health club membership - In the 5 years of membership the price has almost double, I expect to pay for the new outdoor pool but its made this place inaccessible for most people. £280 a month for the gym/pool facilities makes you feel you are paying for something really outstanding but in truth its not. Its ok, i do love it here- which is why I have been here a long time and was well worth the money at half the cost. There is too much competition out there and with our in work benefits we can get another hotel for £75 for us both. No brainer. So our membership here is over as feel they got too greedy.
- brian (10/5): -
- Mavis (6/5): Family Wedding - Went to wedding and could'nt fault the organisation of that. Grounds are lovely The wifi hit/miss. Toilet was constantly running so needed to close b/room door. Room exceptionally cold and no info how to operate heating. Whatever I tried made no difference. People cud not contact us via hotel phone!!!!
- Matt (8/5): -
- Claire (8/5): Great functional hotel and health club, worth a visit. - Lovely grounds and swimming pools. It was nice to be able to use the pool after check out and our children loved it. No complaints although food could have been better- poached eggs were hard and the menu generally could have been a bit more interesting.
- alistair (1/5): Extremely disappointed, birthday ruined - Location and cleanliness Ended up in an interconnected room. Not detailed in any booking information! Otherwise I would not have made the booking. Extremely loud and drunk occupants in the adjoining room, no other rooms available to move to. Evident we were not in for a peaceful stay so we checked out at 10:30pm and made the 2 hour drive home. Really disappointed
- Ty (8/5): Nice short break - Pool was nice. Breakfast very average
- Tanya (10/5): - The pool and rooms are perfect
- Rochelle (10/5): - Room was lovely view of water room was clean bathroom was lovely I loved the gym but needed more weight machines as it was limted
- suzanne (9/5): a nice couple of days, and we would return - The staff were exceptionally polite. The pool was lovely ,the room and en suite were great, clean, modern, and fresh. I personally think a different entrance for outside gym users would make the ambience of the hotel more relaxing. As it was it was very bustling and busy. Also the remote control for the tv was not nice. It was very dirty and would benefit from a clean with a toothbrush and disinfectant. The breakfast, we felt was not worth the money , and different food and cutlery items kept running out. The staff were trying their best to keep on top of things
- Caroline (6/5): Nice hotel, good location and friendly staff. Breakfast was disappointing. - Good location, lovely facilities with the pool and jacuzzi The breakfast was poor. Stayed for two nights and on the first breakfast there was barely any food available apart from cereal and a few yoghurts. It was replenished but took a long time. Literally no eggs, no bread, no pastries, 2 very sad dry looking hash browns left, sausages and a few rashers of bacon left, a poor show of a few bits of fruit left on a platter.
Keeping on top of this and regularly replenishing the food would have helped. Better on day two but wouldn’t pay to stay for breakfast again.
It definitely let down what would have otherwise been a nice stay.
- kerrie (9/5): -
- Dawn (8/5): -
- U5828CTbridgetd (2/5): Shocked - A very disappointing experience as we had booked a double room mini break and on arrival were allocated a disability room which was actually dark and rather dirty. The outlook was a range of metal cages holding dirty laundry and the staff woke us in early hours wheeling these through a heavy metal staff entrance door. It was an insult to someone with an actual disability unless they were blind and hard of hearing. The water in shower was warm but everything smelt of urine. I was glad to vacate.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Guest (6/5): -
- Lorraine (8/5): -
- Ann (8/5): Happy - Polite Staff Not enough breakfast available
- Toni (8/5): Relaxing experience - Was a lovely location , hotel was beautiful, didn't eat here so unsure what the food would taste like would definitely try next time , would definitely return and very exciting that there is going to be an outside pool . This hotel is beautiful exceptionally clean , relaxing 😊 I think it could potentially have a fridge for the future for cold drinks and robes as some 4 star hotels do offer these facilities but other than that everything else is perfect 👌
- Rebecca (7/5): Overall nice stay. - Facilities were lovely to use. Room was lovely. Modern and nice selection for breakfast. Our daughter loved the pool. Not so much didn’t like but the staff on arrival said our room wasn’t ready when I showed them the email I received saying the hotel had been able to give us an earlier check in, the staff were not very helpful with this and we couldn’t get to our room. Despite this they said they’d take our bags to the room…which implied it was ready. Bit confusing.
- vincent (8/5): A good hotel in nice location with great staff and good food and amenities - Good property and facilities staff very good 😊 breakfast a bit hit and miss with things but service excellent spa very good food very good too thankyou to all staff
- Peter (1/5): Hotel was shut, power cut, stayed elsewhere. Ok, can happen, but now chasing refund for 2 months! -
- Robert (1/5): Pleased with the room but breakfast was appalling and dis interested staff - Room and Facilities Breakfast was appalling
- Jo (8/5): - The room was lovely - large bed and very comfortable. The health club and swimming pool was fabulous! The service in the bar on Saturday morning was poor. We ordered 2 coffees and some toast. The coffees took 10 minutes to come and we waited a further 10 minutes for the toast. Seemed very disorganised…..
- Pantelis (8/5): - Pool and gym facilities are great! Location is close to Warwick castle and town centre. Comfortable room and beds, great amenities Our room had an issue during our stay where we didn't have hot water for several hours. It got fixed in the end but we were staying with little ones that needed a shower after the pool and not really offered many alternatives, and the staff were a bit blasé about the whole thing. Would have expected a bit more. Or some courtesy offer. Also the breakfast had several things but quality was pretty average.
- Danielle (10/5): -
- Phyllis (7/5): -
- Sam (9/5): Clean, friendly, good value. - Very clean and welcoming. Safe car park with security barriers. The breakfast could have been better. Nice choice but the cooked breakfast looked poor.
- Ellis (10/5): 10/10 we can’t wait to return again! - 3rd visit at The Warwickshire in 12 months, we always leave feeling so relaxed and looking forward to our next stay!
The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly, they are a fabulous example of a team who listen and will happily help.
The facilities are wonderful, set in the most beautiful grounds which are immaculate.
Great value for money, a real gem for families wanting a relaxing stay.
- grant (8/5): -
- Alexandra (10/5): Lovely over night stay - Friendly
- Neil (9/5): All in, a lovely hotel, clean, professional, easy to get to, loads of parking and very friendly! - The staff were all very friendly and professional, plenty of parking and the hotel & facilities were clean and modern.
The on-site, car hand wash was also an added bonus. The property is located right on the golf course at the back, with a beautiful outlook over the lake.
The hotel also has a nice restaurant, sports bar and business centre hub. More outdoor seating - some of this was closed due to improvements being made outside, which obviously can't be helped - we were lucky to have beautiful weather. I'm sure when completed, it will be excellent.
It is a very busy gym, spa, leisure centre for local residents and so if you are expecting a cosy, quiet, rural hotel, with lounges and quiet areas, or relaxing rooms, then this may not be for you.
- Roger (4/5): - Bed and pillows too hard/firm
- Selina (10/5): -
- Mason (7/5): More information would be perfect - Beautiful hotel and beautiful, location and rooms
Perfect I purchased this for my son and girlfriend
They loved there stay but found that reception was not informative,
So went without breakfast even though I paid for bed and breakfast
- Taylor (9/5): -
- Dean (10/5): -
- Summer (10/5): -

- Damien (10/5): Great as normal, if a little crowded - Location, staff and the ease of access is always excellent. On this occasion the customers for the gym were overly rude in the car park, probably because it was extremely busy, but it was surprising and clearly they were angst at those using the hotel as opposed to other gym users.
I must state this is the first time I have experienced this, so I assume this is unusual.
- Desna (10/5): - loved the facilities, Their gym is incredibly well equipt, their pool was beautifully warm. Rooms were clean and modern. No complaints here. Would definitely stay again.
- kevin (10/5): Excellent as always. -
- Emanuela (10/5): -
- michelle (7/5): -
- Phil (9/5): Lovely hotel - The pool, gym and location
- Harrison (10/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): Lovely chilled out stay - The staff were amazing, we traveled with four children aged between 14 years and 7 months.
My husband is a golfer but didn’t get to play this weekend (his own fault). Children enjoyed a swim and the food was delicious.
- barry (4/5): disappointing to say the least - location breakfast was very cold and I was in the restaurant early both days. Staff like zombies, not at all interested in their jobs or standard of service, working without direction or urgency.
Served food in the evening without cutlery and had to request it, and second occasion took 10 minuted to get a folk after the knife arrive on its lonesome.
WHY?
- Alex (10/5): Great 2nd stay - Great food and spa area Location was a bit out of town
- Justin (10/5): Really enjoyed and would love to return just the breakfast bit could have been better it put me off - All very easy The last people dirty cutlery left on table and another 3 tables only part cleared was not busy and young chap was not really doing anything
- grant (9/5): A brilliant weekend away, great hotel, very friendly staff with excellent facilities! - Very well finished and equipped rooms! No negatives.
- LISA (7/5): - Location is pretty, country surroundings
Pool and steam facilities were lovely
Staff were friendly Far too busy place, as it’s run as a club so it’s not as relaxing as a hotel.
Bed in our room wasn’t comfortable- very hard mattress and lumpy pillows. Plus the bathroom had a wiffy drain smell..
TV wasn’t a smart tv, so couldn’t watch Netflix etc…
- Clare (8/5): - Excellent location, quiet, with lots of amenities. Room was modern, clean and well equipped. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Pillows were hard and lumpy. Wellness facilities were very busy and could get loud at times, although that may have been due to it being half term. There is a separate lounge area away from the noise which was good.
- Sammy_D12015 (6/5): Lovely hotel but overpriced and beds u comfortable , paying for two single beds to be pushed together - The hotel cost nearly £400 for two days for a double room. This was without breakfast. All I asked for was to make sure I had a double bed, instead it was two singles pushed together.
Had to pay a charge of £5 to use room service.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and room was lovely and clean but then the night of our first stay it was advertised for just £100 for one night which I find disgraceful when your paying for the same room and on the same website!
- James (9/5): Great room and facilities. Very busy environment. - Rooms are very well appointed and super comfortable. Best bed of any hotel I have stayed in uk. Facilities at hotel, pool, spa and gym are great. Restaurant is ok but high end. Hotel is part of. Golf, gym and swimming pool members club and is very busy most of the time.
- robert (8/5): -
- janahF1250JI (6/5): Comfortable but Overhyped Stay with Mixed Breakfast Experience - The hotel was fine, but nothing particularly special despite some of the hype. The room was clean, although the shower had a slightly unpleasant smell.
We went for breakfast on both mornings. The first day was okay, with pastries on display. On the second day, there were no pastries available, which was a bit disappointing. The coffee at breakfast came from a machine and wasn’t great, although the coffee from the bar was very good.
The gym was just average, but the view was great. Parking was good, always spaces available and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Food from the bar wadnt great so we didn’t order again and chose to eat out instead.
Overall, it was an okay stay.
- Stefan (7/5): - Location Room
- Karen (9/5): Lovely stay - Lovely hotel with pleasant staff. Room was spacious and clean and the walk in shower was great . Twin beds pushed together weren't very comfortable
