- Fermy Thomas (6/5): - Old, little dirty and washroom was not clean either
- Burrell (1/5): Terrible - Room was dirty with no blankets, and staff had really bad attitude. Clean room and blankets
- Travis (2/5): - Owner is
- Per (4/5): -
- Biplob (2/5): - Smoking
- Mire (4/5): -
- Franklin (1/5): -
- robert (2/5): do not stay there, its a dump, bad area - bad area, window in one of the rooms was wired shut with a coathanger but still opened from the outside. very poor quality,
- Fletcher (3/5): Kinda ghetto, but adequate if you want to “rough it” - Near the airport, inexpensive, good restaurant on premises. Adequate for my purposes. Great place if you’re ok with “roughing it”. I’m a male used to camping in Alaska, so this is a step up. I would NOT bring my family here though. This is basically a ghetto hotel complete with crackheads wandering the parking lot. I did not feel safe going from my car to the room, and I’m a guy who can take care of himself. Once inside the room, the door has good a good secure lock and the essentials (shower, beds, etc) were ok. Bring earplugs - lots of outside noise (cars peeling out, etc). All that said, I would probably stay there again.
- matthew (2/5): - No towels . No plugs in sink or bath . Shower didn’t work. Reported nothing done . Homeless outside . Didn’t feel safe
- KENNETH (2/5): - Drug Hotel
- William (2/5): - You get what you pay for. It's cheap...that's all I'll say
- Renata (1/5): -
- Alex (1/5): Cold room, unusable sink, etc. - The air conditioner worked, but the heating did not. The TV and cable box worked, but the remote did not. The sink faucet worked, but the sink was plugged. There was toilet paper available, but it wasn't on the roll. There was a phone, but pressing 0 didn't call front-desk. There was a made bed, but it was scarce for warm bedding. There were lights, but they weren't accessible from the room's door. All of the issues.
- Camper (2/5): - Nothing Everything
- Seth (3/5): - Location. Staff friendly The amount of homeless people outside asking you for drugs leaves an uneasy feeling.
- Vickie (2/5): - I did not even stay there even though I got charged. It was.
Very scary. I won't recommend this place to anyone
- AJAYAN (2/5): - This property was terrible. The room was just okay but the entire hotel smelled terrible (weed). The outside looked unsafe. The smoke detector went off in the middle of the night multiple because someone was using the microwave.
- Maily (2/5): - Property is very dirty, unsafe, homeless everywhere in the property. The door in my room was left open tv was on when I when in the room. I have to leave and refuse to stay there.
- Rebecca (2/5): - Very unclean, super gross! Would not recommend.
- charlene (6/5): - Clerk was very nice but there were a lot of homeless as well as people on drugs loitering on the property.
- Morales (8/5): -
- Levi (2/5): - WE DID NOT EVEN STAY THERE IT WAS SO BAD!!!
- Ken (2/5): Sleazy hotel - Smelled horrible. Unclean. Sleazy clientele.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Everything. Was ok
- Wanda (1/5): It was terrible. Drug addicts right outside my window hollering and staggering about. - There was no breakfast Nothing
- Maria (4/5): - Choose somewhere else
- Aaron (6/5): - Staff
- Robert (4/5): - There were a lot of homeless people living near my car and blocking the walkway. The room was very small. The ceiling fan was loud and dirty. The sheets were clean, and so were the towels.
- James (4/5): - We paid for 3 nights stay , and had to check out early the 2 day, hopefully we will get a refund for the 3 day that we didn’t use.
- Hua (6/5): - Old structure, dirty carpet on all hallway and stairs. Dirty table/counter surfaces in room.
- Beth (2/5): - Walked in and person very unruly It took the one of us to CALL THE POLICE spoken to person behind desk to get that person under crontrol. Went down hall to see a room. DARK LIGHTING POOR
The one of us enerting room comes out to me saying NO WAY. I then told lady who showed us room. No way were we staying Place was unacceptable. We don't feel safe. We then thought we might not have had the car in the morning
- Stephen (2/5): Horrible - We did not stay and lost the $160 we had paid. There were homeless every where outside the hotel. It was very dirty. No one was in the lobby and they refused to return our money when we talked to them.
- Douglas (2/5): - The worst hotel I have ever been to.
I had to wait to get my room because they had to inspect the room and was not allowed to be present.
When I was allowed in the room it smelled like smoke and the pillowcases looked like they hadn't been changed So, I looked at the sheets and there were stains and looked like they weren't changed. The place looked bad nothing like the photos.
The staff was arguing with people in the hallways it felt unsafe. The staff was un-friendly.
They wouldn't give me the wifi password. They had to put it in my phone for me.
No airport shuttle unless you paid surcharge.
A charge if you didn't take your trash out when you checked out.
A charge for if towels got stained.
A charge if you lost your key.
- Louise (2/5): Condemn Hotel - They need to condemn that hotel it smells. It’s old furniture is horrible. Beds are horrible..
- Regino (2/5): Bad choice. - The hotel is situated in a very shady part of town. My room smelled terrible and the walls where paper thin...
- Charles (1/5): Bad experience - Bad area of town. Not safe at all. People fighting outside our room outdoors. AC was a portable unit with hose out the window. Horrible & definitely not worth the $197 paid.
- Mary (2/5): - The property was nothing like advertised. There were homeless people in the parking lot. Shuttle was non existent. Room and interior were nothing like the pictures. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Beds were standard military fare. Spent one night and found new accommodations in the morning.
- Anne (6/5): - Comfy beds and clean towels. Good hot water
Place has def seen better days, but cant beat the price for a downtown Anchorage hotel for 1 night
- Tanarius (10/5): - Great
- MARCOS TABAJARA (3/5): -
- Adama (6/5): - It's not too clean
- Shannon (2/5): - Found hair in the bed. Homeless people next to the property. Very loud and noise all night long. People coming and going all night. Worse night sleep!
- Gregory (2/5): - We ended up leaving 5 minutes and did not stay! The room was disgusting my sneakers stuck to the floor, the bathroom had burn marks all over the sink. There was trash in the bucket from prior guests. The shower had mold in it. The table and curtains were filthy and ripped. I wouldn’t let a criminal stay there. I am totally shocked that Expedia would even support this (and I use the word loosely) hotel.
- Nelly (1/5): Sale, dégoûtant, bruyant limite insalubre! - Rien! Tellement sale!! Écœurant!!!
- TSLejman76 (1/5): -
- Nancy (2/5): - when we tried to check in, the owner was running around YELLING. there's no clean linens, no cleaners to clean the room, there were 5 couples standing in the lobby trying to check in hearing this. The area was horridous. The smell of the entire place was aweful.
- John (2/5): - this hotel should be shut down!!! Two half drunk beer bottles in the fridge. Vomit on the floor in the hall along with trash all over. Looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in over a month. There was what I only could surmise was mold on the ceiling.
Literally a disgusting place. The beds smelled like an ashtray and the bed cover clearly had stains on both of them. Don’t come here ever!! People yelling in the alley out back and rummaging through the dumpster. A one star is too high a rating for this place
- Richard (4/5): - Restaurant had great food.
- JELLINO (8/5): - Comfortable and affordable
- Kimberly (2/5): - The hotel once had character and the staff was friendly but there were cigarette holes on the comforter, stains on the blinds and I felt like I had to watch my car out the window. If I had any other place to go, I would have left. Instead I bolted the door and waited until sunrise.
- Vishesh (8/5): - Property is run down but requires a lot of maintenance. Bed was clean n comfy though
- Michael (8/5): - Better than the online review's - tuff neighbourhood.
- Evaristo (6/5): Não gostei. - Não tem café da manhã e nada por perto. Horrível. O local é rodeadfo dfe "zumbis" drogados.
- Gary (6/5): - the hotel maid made the extra effort for us ..... had a problem w/the tv ...... 3:30 am had a knock on the door by a strange woman other than that .....
- Graham (3/5): Do not recommend - Not much Took 2 hours to get into the room. No hot water in shower. Windows were broken to outside and taped over with clear packing tape. Outlets didn't work. Heater didn't work.
- M Denise (2/5): - Didn't feel safe. Drunk person was being escorted under loud protest from hotel. Desk clerk tried but didn't feel safe. Went elsewhere.
- Elwood (4/5): - The hallways were filled with junk, old appliances, etc. And were dirty. Homeless people all around the premise. Two ladies at the desk, one was friendly and helpful the other not friendly at all. The room was clean but very old furnishings.
- Anthony (2/5): - They gave my reservation away. The whole town is booked and I'm forced to sway in an incomplete room that's disgusting and smells.
- Moi (6/5): -
- Moi (6/5): -
- shengzhong (4/5): - Noise all the time, alarm ringing in the middle night, people yelling in the lobby…
- Carrie (4/5): - The staff are not very nice to the guest. They dnt have enough towels and beddings.
- Steven (2/5): - Whole place is a dump! Filthy and run down. Vagrants hanging around inside and out. Had no choice got stuck in town due to volcano eruption and everything was booked. Should have slept st the airport it would have been better. Do not stay in this garbage dump. SH!
- Jessie (2/5): - Not well kept. Smells like cigarette smoke. Clogged sink.
- Anthony (4/5): - The homeless outside coughing up blood everywhere
- Dakota (6/5): - Great location. We picked this hotel for the airport shuttle. The shuttle is not operating and they would not send taxi or reimburse for taxi/uber fees. Disappointing. Hotel is old and is a great location for walkig Anchorage. Not a great neighborhood, we were two backpacking guys looking for a room for 1 night.
- William Darcy (5/5): -
- Brian (2/5): - Dont stay here dangerous area and very filthy wish a refund was due back! Slept in the car!
- Kenneth (2/5): - Internet pics were way better than actual room. Bad part of city with homeless in the parking lot. Only could get 2 towels for 3 adults 👨
- Nina (2/5): - I chose to lose out on the money for the room. It just seemed too unsafe. The reservation ladies office smelt like weed and it was just not a good place for me and my daughter to be.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I had delays from flights and did not get response from hotel. When finally made on second day, no one was available to check inn and the area was definitely not safe with taggers and vagrants around the property
- Lisa (4/5): - Food options were nonexistent at the Econo Inn, and the beds were fairly uncomfortable.
- Lisa (2/5): Roach Motel - The Econo Inn is the epitome of a skeezy motel. It's in a rough part of town, and is not well-kept. The room smelled dank, and the TV was broken. There was no window in our room. There were drugged-out people hanging about the building, climbing into the dumpsters and yelling into the night. It even sounded like someone was barking outside of our door. Not really a safe or clean place to stay.
- Gary (2/5): - Property is an excellent choice if you like hanging out at ground zero with drug users and dealers. Checked in, felt unsafe and left the property immediately.
- humberto (2/5): - Not safe for tourists. This is a shelter for locals.
- John (4/5): It’s not an eco lodge - Bed was great, sheets had burn holes, found used old women’s underwear in the shower. In addition the surrounding area a homeless hangout and people strung out all over. Anchorage I enjoyed just never staying there again.
- Bryan (6/5): - Very noisy. Other than then clean. Great sushi at the restaurant connected t the building ground floor.
- Bryan (4/5): - Noisy confused staff
- Jeremy (1/5): With a name like "Econ Inn," I didn't expect much, but a clean place to relax comfortably. It wasn't - Absolutely nothing to like. I stayed in room 205. The toilet seat still had fresh urine on it. There was no toilet paper, and the toilet paper holder was broke. There was trash just outside the window, and the whole room just felt gross. There was a big lack for maintenance. For what I paid, I only expected a basic, clean, and well maintained room, but it was far from that. The parking was a disaster, and given the location, I felt very uncomfortable leaving my vehicle unattended.
- Patricia (4/5): - Room was old and smelly
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Donna L (4/5): - Seems to be under renovation. Incomplete paint. Portable AC unit in window the didn't allow window to close out noise. Generally poor condition
- Margaret (2/5): - First off, on our way there, the Uber driver said he would not let his family stay there. The facility was so odd, old and just creepy. It was clean and the staff was friendly, but we booked a different hotel even after we paid for this one. The TV was literally cracked and broken, the windows were closed up, there was no way to lock the door from the inside. I could go on and on.
- Gemma (1/5): Overpriced, shady neighborhood and outdated place - Nothing Everything, we tried to check-in but no one was around and tried to call the number no answer either. No towels when we get to our room and I have to asked for it. The bathroom floor has slit if hair, the bathroom sink has brown liquid, the toilet paper was empty. The room has a very strong smell and cigarette smell. The place has a lot of homeless around the area. It’s said in the website it offers airport shuttle but when I asked for it, she said no. The website is very deceiving. Overall experience was really bad.
- Carrie (6/5): - Sometimes the staff are so rude. They greeted u when u check in. Not enough towels in the room. Too much noise in the motel.
- John (4/5): - This property is more of a homeless shelter than a hotel. Room was barely ok and the lobby was dirty. My taxi driver said the place was unsafe so be watchful.
- Varinder (6/5): - Front desk staff friendly
- Twila (2/5): - The ceilings had water damage. The light fixtures were falling out of the ceiling. The headboards were falling off the walls. There were people running around and doing mechanical work on their cars in the parking lot all night long. There were people running up and down the stairs all night long. The mop buckets were left in the hallway along with the wet mops on the carpet. One of the rooms smelled so heavily a bleach you could hardly breathe. The television set was turned on, but she couldn’t shut it off or turn the sound up and down. The linens on one of the beds were stained really bad.
- Dean (2/5): - Felt extremely unsafe from the moment we turned into the parking lot. Witnessed drug deal in alley before walking in. Everything felt & looked like a half-way house for paroled convicts. Did not stay!
- Laura (2/5): We were ready to leave the moment we got there! Very high price for such a bad place! - Nothing! Older Inn, no coffee pot, no TV remote, people yelling at all hours of the night, cigarette holes in the sheets!
- Isara (2/5): Very poor -
- Amy (8/5): - An older place and a bit run down but the rooms were clean enough. No WIFI and I would not want to hand out much there but we just needed a place to sleep so this worked out well.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - It's a good place to sleep. We stayed there on three separate occasions during a two week period. There are what appears to be illicit activities going on in the area but these people never bothered any of the motel patrons. The staff do their best to keep them at bay and the police drive through now and them. Fine place to sleep if that's all you need.
- Minh Duc (2/5): Unfair for price - It do not worth the price
- Begom (1/5): Bad -
- Keith (2/5): - I would not even allow this property to show up on Expedia. It is a dump.
- Buxbaum (3/5): A dirty and unpleasant hotel. Not recommended. - Dingy, dark, shower barely worked, unfriendly vibe, room stank of air freshener. Not an ideal neighborhood. We’d booked it twice and canceled the second reservation.
