• Qian (10/5): I hope to come back here soon! - Very spacious. The private onsen is very nice. The place is quiet and a short walk away from the main street. It was unfortunately raining all day during my stay. When I arrived at the Yufuin station I chose to deliver my luggage to the hotel for ¥1000, which was quite convenient. I was then able to explore Yufuin hands free. It was pretty convenient to walk from the station to the hotel because there are tons of shops and food places on the street. The owner/general manager were super nice and helpful! They arranged a taxi for me to take me to the station the next morning. None

• Jui Chi (7/5): - 接待阿姨親切；地板乾淨又有地暖，適合全程赤腳；床鋪和枕頭好睡，厚羽絨被非常溫暖；空間舒適又大，可以感受比較新的日式旅館 當晚9點多泡溫泉時，感受到水溫過低，大約30度左右，比淋浴設備40度還低，（私訊詢問解決辦法，隔天早上才回覆，問說有反應跟前台人員嗎？但我們沒看到有人員啊！阿姨不是已經下班了嗎？）；隔天早上8點的溫度更誇張，泡下去瞬間感到陣陣涼意。退房時跟老闆反應，老闆說正常溫度約45度左右，只是一直道歉，但也挽不回第一次想住日式旅館享受泡湯的心情了！

• Mindee (10/5): Beautiful & amazing onsen, hospitality A++ - This special property is cozy and esthetically pleasing with comfortable and large room layout. We had private onsen in our room which we absolutely loved! The water here has special mineral properties which you can feel compared to other city onsen. We soaked till 10mins before checkout😜The location is about 10min walk up from the nearest bus station, and 10-15 min walk to great coffee/bakery, and to Yufuin Floral Village where there are numerous shops and eateries. The innkeeper Seigo-san, is genuinely hospitable and makes you feel at home and taken care of. My husband and I were amazed at what a great host Seigo-san is, and we felt the beautiful Japanese hospitality💕🇯🇵 we will be back!

• Nina (9/5): My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at this property. Highly recommended. - The room is spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. The owner is very accommodating. Transport from and to the train station is not included but the owner could easily book a taxi for the guests. No meals or any food. You have to bring your own food, drinks and snacks. The closest konbini is about a 10-min walk and you must do a konbini run during the day because when the sun sets, it is dark outside. There is no coffee in the room, only green tea and water.

The onsen in the room through made all the difference it was phenomenal! Nothing. Please note you have to walk up a 5 minute hill from closest bus stop and it’s 30m walking from the station. We love walking so we didn’t take public transport or cabs but keep in mind in case relevant for you.

• Seulkee (10/5): 힐링의 공간 - 겨울 휴가를 유후사료 빈 날짜를 우선으로 보고 정했을 정도로 기대가 컸습니다. 친절한 사장님과 힐링이 되는 장소 덕분에 다음에 또 이곳을 위해 유후인을 다시 와야겠다는 생각이 들었습니다. 위치도 가이세키가 없는것도 전혀 문제가 되지 않았습니다. 아침에 일어나 창문을 열면 보이는 푸릇한 풍경, 가족들과 오붓하게 지낼 수 있던 온천, 하루를 마무리하며 건배 했던 거실 모두모두 행복했습니다. 베리큐트해주셨던 귀여운 아이 데리고 또 올게요. 늘 건강하세요 ! 없습니다.

• Monika (10/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt etwas oberhalb am Wald am Ortsrand und ist deshalb sehr ruhig. Wir haben uns für die Abreise ein Taxi bestellt (ca 1200 Yen). Das eigene kleine Onsen - man kann die Schiebetüren zum Garten öffnen - war ganz wunderbar.

We liked the location slightly outside of the touristy centre but still a short walk away. The beds were comfortable and check in and out was very smooth. The heating system was very loud, which made it difficult to sleep while having it on at a comfortable temperature.

• Yulim (10/5): - 자려고 소등하고 누웠을때 풀벌레 소리만 나요. 이부분이 가장 좋았어요. 아 내가 쉬러 왔구나 라는 느낌을 받았고 기분좋게 잠들고 기분좋게 일어났어요. 오래된 나무집들은 삐걱삐걱 소리나는데 그런것도 없었고 정말 깔끔했어요. 사장님의 친절함이 얼굴에서 몸에서 느꼈어요. 식사가 없는 컨디션이었는데 불편함이 전혀없었어요. 일본 마트에서는 살게많아서 장봐와서 먹으니 좋았네요.유황온천이라 특유의향도 좋았어요 정말 온천물이구나 피부로 느꼈네요. 렌트카가 있어야 접근성이 좋아요.물론 택시도 이용하면 되지만요. 렌트카 이용하니까 숙소 왔다갔다 너무 편했어요. 다이슨에어랩 가져갔는데 전력량이안맞는지 작동이 안되었어요. 다이슨드라이기가 있긴햇어요

A little bit away from Yufuin Village. Food was not provided (which we knew about) and so we needed to make sure that we ate before going back to the inn.

The room itself was very spacious and lots of natural light. The people that worked there were very nice and welcoming. I would be coming back here the next time we decide to visit Yufuin again!
• Miu (8/5): Very good - Very large room with a lovely private on-sen in the room. Two large double bed were very comfortable. Location wasn't too bad, more close to the lake side. There were some stairs by the hotel entrance and if you have heavy suitcase, it will be a bit problem. There will be no staff at night and early morning, we forgot to ask the staff to call taxi for us the night before and we didn't know there will be no staff even at 8am in the morning, so we ended up need to walk down to the main road and walk all the way back the train station. Overall a very good nice hotel. On-sen water wasn't hot in the morning.

• Natthinee (1/5): We want the refund!! - Our family had a bad experience with this hotel.We stayed in Yufuin only one night and supposedly stayed there for onsen with the Mountain View.When we arrived at the hotel on late night and checked in,the owner charged us 80% of the price and informed that the onsen was not worked. We re no choice and stayed in the most expensive room (biggest room for 5 people). Then we found out that the hot tap water in the bathroom was not worked as well 😩.We (all 5 people)can’t take a bath because it’s too cold ( 4-5 degree ).We tried to call the receptionist and the intercom in room also did not worked.We walked to see him.The owner just said sorry sorry. We said that we feel bad about this because it’s my husband’s birthday.We chose here to celebrate because you’re 9.3 scores.😡😡

The location can be quite difficult to find, you have to aim for a little entrance and have to drive through some tight road. The hot water from the shower isn’t hot enough and they don’t do breakfast nor dinner, the location is some distance from the main area, need to be prepared in advance if you fancy to the shop at night.

The view of a small Japanese garden and the sound of water dripping was relaxing. In addition to the room, the staff was also really kind; the owner even offered to drive us to the station as it was raining heavily when we checked out. overall, it was a 11 out of 10 experience.

So beautiful everywhere) Quiet ,spacious private hot spring area Staff is very friendly and capable of speaking multiple languages. And cool dyson hairdryer Our room is yamazakura（山桜）So the comments below is only for this room 1.The cold water pressure is pretty low , making it a hard time when taking bath 2.The windows of hot spring room cannot be locked.(we presume that there is safety concern) Also the door between room area and hot spring area can not be locked from room side, which creates an direct path from outside world to our sleeping bed without any barrier.

• Jin (10/5): Exceptional - The room we used was a large space, and I could feel very silent japanese atmosphere. And one of the best thing to me was the hot spring that using natural hot water. I also could see Yu-fu's the highest Mt. in the spring. Finally, the owner's service was also so good. I will go there if I have any chance to visit Yu-fu area. X
• Hj (10/5): Perfect place to stay for who wants quiet and private stay. Highly recommend!!! - It was lovely and perfect to stay here!!!!! We were 4 of us, Grandma, mummy, and 2 kids. The room was super clean, neat, spacious and quiet. Private bath has big windows so it's almost like open air. Hot spring water is so good. There's small but beautiful Zen garden which is very well managed. The host is very kind :) And there is Convenient store in 5-7 walk distance. Really nothing. If I have to say one thing, it's very close from Yufuin station. But you can take a taxi at the front of station for only 700 yen. (If i were alone i might walk to there but i was with meltdown kids with luggages 🥹)
• Chui (9/5): Superb - Very cozy tranquil place with private onsen. Room is spacious and well equipped. Location is a little difficult to find.
• Jacqueline (5/5): An older unrenovated inn in a remote location. - The private hot spring was nice. The inn was up the hill and you have to drive through narrow roads. Kind of scary. The place was also not renovated and not the cleanest. Outdated furniture and fixtures throughout. Smelled musty. The staff is just one older person who we only saw during check in.
• Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Great place and setup of the rooms. Very spacious and very nice private onsen. Quite place with private parking area.
• Brandon (10/5): Clean, Relaxing, and Friendly! - Fantastic customer service! We had a lovely stay in a great location with ample parking. 5-10 mins away from most local activities. Very accommodating for English speakers!
