Guest Reviews
- Ray. (8/5): - It was a nice stay the owner was very nice and made you feel welcome
- Damon (10/5): - Close to old town and all restaurants and bars. Staff were fantastic. Extended our stay and would stay again.
- Damon (8/5): - Short walk to bars and restaurants. Spacious room.
- Peter (8/5): - Very quiet area & walking distance to old town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Happy! - We were welcomed to a nice, relaxed and clean hotel which was well located and walking distance to the old town.
Our host was warm, welcoming and really helpful.
- Hanh (4/5): - I liked the location, close to the night market and floating lanterns. The rooms were clean and spacious. Possibly because it was low tourist season less efforts were made by staff, though. The pool was green, not maintained. We hardly ever saw anyone at the front desk, making it difficult to ask a question. My reservation with Expedia indicated that there is breakfast included, but she said to me there was none. She did not clarify the amount that I would be charged for early check in, just told me when I checked out. The customer service could use improvement.
- Céline (10/5): Très bon séjour à Hoi An - Excellent séjour au Flamingo.
- Robert (10/5): Enjoyable stay and excellent value. - This is a family owned and operated B & B. They are very courteous and helpful. Room is surprisingly modern, bed is comfortable and everything works. AC is works perfectly for us. Breakfast is good with a choice of western or Vietnamese food. Villa is about a 10 minute walk from town. It is quiet around the villa. No elevator in building.
- alan (8/5): Good choice for the old Town and night market. - A good choice if you want to be close to the old Town and night market. Rooms are clean and modern. The immediate area was quiet and it is not far to a mini-market. The TV has several English language stations.
The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was freshly prepared.,tasty and filling although as it is a small hotel the choice is more limited than a buffet.
- Kai (10/5): One of the hospitable places I’ve stayed at! - Staying at Flamingo Villa Hoi An was a pleasant and comfortable experience. We stayed for 2 nights and there staff was every bit hospitable and friendly from start to end. Breakfast was provided each morning and we could choose from a variety of food choices the night before. The staff was so hospitable that they made sure to shift the tables and chairs under the shade when the sun shone too brightly on them.
Location wise, the hotel is down a quieter alley (alley way had houses and was always lit so never an issue) right in the Old Town and so it made traveling to and fro anywhere very very convenient. The hotel had both bicycles and motorbikes for rent too. They also arranged for our transport to Danang International Airport on our last day there (280k VND) for a 7 seater.
The only catch would be that there’s no lift there - it was homestay-style and so it may be inconvenient for those with difficulties with stairs.
Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone!
- Stephanie (10/5): - We have been traveling for 6 weeks and this was the best place we stayed at! The girls treated us so well, we stayed an extra night and would definatley return! Great location, great breakfast, great food and amazing service!
- michal (10/5): Very recommend! - My husband and I came for our honeymoon, the staff was amazing!!. Treat us the best, and gave us cake and really nice note.
The room is very clean, the service was spectacular, the shower was amazing- hot and strong water.
We will came back!!
- Myles (8/5): - Hotel was down a small track but was new and the room was excellent. The staff were very friendly and eager to help.
- lai (10/5): Good location and good hospitality - The hotel is about 5-10 minute walk to hoi an old town. Very friendly hotel staff. This hotel is definitely value for money
- Janelle (10/5): - Excellent hotel, staff and location. Would definitely stay here again
- Tracey (10/5): Great accommodation at a good price. - We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed for 10 nights rather than 5 ! The room was very clean and the bed really comfortable, not too firm. The shower was also powerful and hot and had a screen so the water doesn't flood the bathroom unlike some showers in Vietnam. The owners and staff are all really friendly and can help organise trips etc without being too pushy. There are only 9 rooms so the villa feels more like a B and B. You have to choose your breakfast the night before, emphasis is on local food as opposed to western food, there is no buffet set up like in some large hotels which may not suit everyone. There is a nice pool (small) but nice enough to cool off in and some sun loungers. The main area with the old town and bars and restaurants is only a 5 min walk. The beach is a 15 min motorbike ride. There are free bicycles you can use at the hotel . For the price the accommodation is fantastic. I would not hesitate to stay again. Accommodation can be hard to find initially as it's down a side road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel - Overall the hotel is nice and I would recommend it. It's clean, comfortable, good hot water and pressure. The staff is really nice. They don't really do much to clean the room during your stay though- like didn't even make the bed, but it wasn't a big deal for us since we were only there for 2 nights. The breakfast is pretty limited- just a choice of 3 or 4 dishes to be ordered from the night before. The street leading to the hotel is a little off the beaten path and has some construction going on, so its a little dirty but close enough to the old town. They tried to charge for the bicycles after we already used them, so be aware that they aren't free like most other hotels! The balcony was ridiculously small... like couldn't fit a chair on it even if you wanted to and had trouble fitting more than 1 person on it comfortably- even in standing. And the pool is pretty small but the entire hotel isn't big so it probably wouldn't be an issue for crowding. But otherwise it was a positive experience!
- Cam (8/5): Local hotel across the bridge from Old Town - We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. There's several signposting to find the hotel as it was in an alleyway. We stayed on the 2nd floor & it was great because there were no elevators. Ppl with mobility issues may have problems with that. The room was spacious & bed was good too. The A/C worked great after it started up. The shower head was rainshower & had good pressure. Hot water was plentiful. Room was clean & housekeeping was good too.
The hotel was located just across a bridge from Old Town so very easy to walk to it. It's a safe area as well. The area has been updated to reflect a continued look & feel of Old Town across the river. There also was a night market close by.
The complimentary breakfast was a la carte from a set menu of a drink, main (eggs, stir fry noodles, or mi quang), & a fruit plate. There was two bottled water provided every day as well.
The staff were great & hospitable. The morning/afternoon front desk were informative & could communicate in English fine. We took the My Son tour through them for $7US & it was fine for that price.
I would recommend this hotel. It looked new & everything was in good condition.
- Sonal (8/5): Modern, Clean, and Cozy - We stayed 4 nights and found the room comfortable and a nice place to relax after a busy day. The rooms are new and modern. Breakfast could be improved a bit but the service, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is wonderful.
- Nathan (10/5): Top tier in Hoi An - The Flamingo Villa was excellent and the best place we stayed in Vietnam. Staff is spectacular, facilities are good, location is perfect for walking to everything and, best of all, their breakfasts are top tier. Make sure you have their My Quang, it is great! The pool gets good sun and is nice to relax by even in the middle of town. You can get to all the tailors easily and go back for appointments easily. WiFi is good and rooms are new and modern.
- yuval israel (10/5): Amazing!! - Amazing!! Nice places nice place. Clean and Comfortable and the pool is amazing!
