The gardens are magnificent! - The room was very spacious and well equipped, however I could not find an adaptor for the hairdryer. The restaurant is a "family restaurant' and they do not have a professionally trained chef, therefore do not expect a fine dining experience. The breakfast was basic, but acceptable.

- Andrea (10/5): Immer wieder - Die Unterkunft ist ein Paradies. Emma eine wunderbare, sympathische und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Das Frühstück (inbegriffen) , aber auch das Angebot für ein Abendessen ist sehr gut und reichhaltig. Jeden Tag werden ins Zimmer Flaschen mit Trinkwasser gestellt und die Betten wieder hübsch gemacht. Vor dem Abendessen kann man sich ein Glas Sherry auf Kosten des Hause in der Lounge eingießen - eine sehr nette Geste. Zwischen den Zitrusplantagen eingebettet liegt das Grundstück herrlich und ruhig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Danke für alles! Alles super

Die Gastgeberin Emma war sehr freundlich, hat uns alles gezeigt und uns eine Tour für die Schotia Safari organisiert. Wir wurden an der Unterkunft abgeholt und wieder zurück gebracht, sodass wir nicht selber fahren mussten. Sehr unkomplizierter Check in. Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist ebenfalls gut. Die Zimmer sind nicht die modernsten aber für einen Aufenthalt vollkommen in Ordnung.

- Kerrie-Anne G (10/5): Tranquil and Beautiful - This is my 2nd time staying at Gerald's Gift Guest House and I 100% recommend staying here if you are visiting Addo Elephant Park It's nice and close to the park and it's so tranquil after a big day at the park. The staff are lovely and the food at the eatery was wonderful. The rooms are fabulous and they cater for all needs
- Moritz (6/5): - Das Frühstück war hervorragend und die Lage ist optimal für einen Besuch im Addo Elephant Park. Wir hatten drei Zimmer, die in ihrer Qualität sehr unterschiedlich waren. Das Luxus-Zweibettzimmer ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Bett ist sehr komfortabel und das Badezimmer groß. Die Familiensuite und das Budget-Doppelzimmer haben uns leider nicht so sehr überzeugt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat uns auf der gesamten Reise leider nur in dieser Unterkunft nicht überzeugt. Eines unserer Zimmer (Familiensuite) war wirklich nicht sauber mit Insektenresten, Staub und Schmutz überall. Der Boden wurde zwar gewischt aber in allen Ecken wie zum Beispiel um den Nachttisch herum und dahinter, sowie unter dem Sofa und den Sofakissen war es wirklich schmutzig. Im Badezimmer der Familiensuite stand ein sehr unangenehmer Geruch und durch die offenen Fenster mit eingeschaltetem Licht bei unserer Anreise waren lauter Insekten im Zimmer. Das Abendessen war in Ordnung. Die Vorspeise (Springbok-Carpaccio) war hervorragend. Wir erhielten andere Beilagen als bestellt, was soweit nicht dramatisch ist aber abgesehen von den Hähnchengerichten hat uns das Essen für den Preis auch nicht vom Hocker gehauen.

Die Besitzer sind extrem zuvorkommend und es gibt ein sehr nettes Restaurant. Auch wird man dort direkt an der Unterkunft für die Safari abgeholt.

Diner een 3 gangen menu(400 rand zonder drinken) en ontbijt voor 150 rand.de 2 dag lichte regen en 5 uur lang geen stroom! Ok om 21:00.

Emma hat uns bei der Buchung der Schotia-Safari geholfen und gab uns auch Tipps für andere Aktivitäten. Wir hatten ein großes, helles Luxushäuschen direkt neben dem sehr sauberen Pool. Ein vorzügliches Frühstück rundete den Aufenthalt ab. Wir waren absolut zufrieden. Die Möbel sind schon ein wenig abgewohnt und ein kleiner Tisch vor dem Sofa wäre schön.

Es gibt einen Pool und die Zimmer sind mit Liebe eingerichtet, das sieht man einfach. Es gibt ein Restaurant mit einer kleinen Speisekarte ausgewählter Spezialitäten. Das Restaurant liegt am Grundstück in einem kleinen Zubau. Sehr geschmackvoll zusammengewürfelte Möbel ergeben ein schönes Gesamtbild Nichts

De mooie citrusboomgaard welke ook toegankelijk was voor de gasten. We hebben iedere dag ontbeten en gedineerd in het bijbehorende restaurant. De menukaart was wat beperkt maar dit was prima. Er was een zwembad (waar we helaas door wat lagere temperaturen geen gebruik van hebben kunnen maken) en een speeltuintje voor kinderen. Er was een restaurant op locatie. Dit was heel fijn omdat de lodge vrij afgelegen was. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Het restaurant was vrij basic in keuze. Maar prima om er twee avonden te eten.

- Louise (10/5): Emma and her team providing a great service to their guests. - This is our fourth or fifth visit to Gerald’s Gift so we like it! We had the Kingfisher room, beautifully furnished, spacious and immaculately clean. Breakfast was great and made to order. The pool was super clean and provides a great view of the gardens and beyond. We went for an early morning walk on the farm for an hour they grow oranges and lemons. Convenient for Addo elephant park which is very helpful. Nothing to dislike.

Wir haben es dennoch ausgewählt, weil uns High-Speed Internet versprochen wurde. Es war aber quälend langsam und die Chefin log das Blaue vom Himmel herunter an was das liegen könnte. Am Ende war es das Wetter. Aber bei Regen war es langsam und bei sonnigem Wetter ebenfalls. Auch Fernsehen etc funktionierten nicht. Die Chefin wollte nur das Geld und behandelte uns von oben herab

- Debbie (9/5): - The ambience is wonderful. A really beautiful place. The room was amazing, the gardens beautiful and the welcome we received was great. We loved our stay here, so don't be put off by my negatives below, I'm just being honest, overall this is a fabulous play to stay. Breakfast was very slow but extremely good when it did arrive. Dinner, the meat was a little chewy, but otherwise all good.

- Sabine (9/5): Arrivé à 16h , de passage après port Elisabeth pour une journée à la resserve - La propriété est niché dans un verger de citron , très jolie et agréable à quelques kilomètres de l’entrée nord du parc « Addo éléphant Park » le guest house dispose d un restaurant le soir et du petit déjeuner , d une piscine et d un grand jardin agréable et d une climatisation !! En été c est pas du luxe 🥰 Rien
- Karin (9/5): Fantastisch! - Het guesthouse ligt in een prachtige tuin met veel zitjes. Er is een restaurant bij waar een heerlijk ontbijt en diner wordt geserveerd. Het personeel van het guesthouse is erg attent. Erg leuk om vanuit hier een self drive in het Addo Elephant Park te doen Vloerbedekking op de vloer is niet handig bij allergieklachten
- Family (9/5): Prima verblijf voor een bezoek aan ADDO - De ligging is echt perfect bij het ADDO park. Emma heeft ons geadviseerd de Schotia game reserve te doen en dit ook voor ons geregeld, geweldig!! We zijn ‘s ochtends met de auto zelf ADDO ingegaan, dit is echt goed te doen, heel veel olifanten gezien. Prachtig! Het ontbijt was erg goed. We vonden de lunch wat tegenvallen.
- Arno (10/5): Heerlijke plek op een prachtige locatie - Het Guest House en de omgeving is prachtig. De kamers zijn ruim, het bed ligt heerlijk, de airco werkt goed en de douche is lekker. Daarnaast heeft de accommodatie een goed zwembad. Maar het lekkerste vonden we misschien wel het restaurant dat bij het Guest House zit. Alle lof en complimenten naar de kok en serveerster voor het heerlijke eten en de fijne bediening. Het (inbegrepen) ontbijt is op basis van a-la-carte en is uitgebreid. Het diner was geweldig. Heerlijke gerechten met veel groenten.

- TATJANA (10/5): - Super, tolles Zimmer, sehr leckeres Frühstück, das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Wunderschöne Anlage, sehr hübscher gepflegter Garten mit Pool. Sehr ruhige Lage. Immer wieder sehr gerne Leider ist das Restaurant nicht sehr flexibel. Es gibt 2 vegetarische Gerichte, was bei 6 Tagen Aufenthalt schwierig wird. Wir baten um Fisch, diese Bitte wurde leider nicht nach gegangen. Auch war teilweise das Bier oder der Wein alle. Das könnte man besser organisieren. Wir sind dann in anderen Resorts abends essen gegangen.

- Martin (7/5): - Verschiedene Zimmer rund um die Farm. Grosser Rasen, schöner Baum- und Pflanzenbestand. Sehr freundilcher Service, beim Empfang und beim Essen. Man fühlt sich sicher und gut aufgehoben. Eines der Zimmer schaut nach hinten auf den Parkplatz. Aber man guckt auch ins Grüne, daher ist das nicht so schlimm.
